i'm suddenly thinking about rockstar!eddie shooting a music video on some naval ship and meeting actual sailor!steve who's all dressed up in his whites 'cause eddie's a big name star and the captain said everyone had to look their best and eddie immediately folding for the pretty guy in uniform
just: eddie wanting a couple of the guys to act in the video 'cause hopefully then they'd actually know what they're doing, and asking the capt to point out his most competent sailor. the capt immediately points out one of his low-ranking ensigns (like, brand new baby officer 'cause that's the kinda shit an officer would pull) and eddie, having been raised by wayne (who i'm hc-ing as a navy vet) knows better and is immediately like "No sir, I said your most competent, not your least. someone point me to THE second class. Where's he? I need an enlisted guy." and a higher-ranking chief that's been following the band around the ship all day bellows out a laugh and says "You're gonna want Harrington, Mr. Munson."
idk idk, it's niche but for some reason my mind went into the cold clammy depths of my time in the navy this morning and i was like 'NOPE! don't wanna dwell here, make it fun! make it about the blorbos so you dont get sad!!' lmao

This is such a cute ask to be getting, I feel like I don't really deserve this seeing as *gestures to my blog* you know?
But also, I gotta be honest, idk if I could contribute anything to all the hcs a lot of drei ??? fans already talked about seeing as I really only read the books when I was smaller and my fave versions of them are the one from the American Movies (which are widely seen as not being that popular or in-character but I just. Absolutely adore these movies).
But just from the top of my head:
Let me just say, I don't think they'll stay Die Drei ??? forever or that they'll start an actual detective agency
Mostly because they cannot live off of doing cases for free forever
But they probably cannot help stumbling into cases sometimes anyway, simply because they're so used to it
Bob will be alone at college and just bust a whole ass drug ring going on and nearly die and then go: 'Nothing much.' when Peter calls and asks him what he's been doing the last few weeks.
Justus - who's working as a translator and who especially loves trying to decipher ancient greek and latin and stuff - doesn't even blink when Peter sends him a blurry picture of words scribbled on a wall going: 'Help, Erster??' at like two am
Aside from that though, they're leading a pretty normal life
I can see Justus doing semi-professional swimming competitions in his free time and to everybodies surprise, Jelena is the one attending most of these
Nobody is sure whether they're..Friends? Dating? They keep bickering but also Justus takes Jelena to every Vernissage Bob organizes as his plus one so???
Btw, Bob did get a degree in journalism but he's taken on a job organizing different events for artists and musicians
He's mostly working with lesser known people but they all agree that he's a joy to work with and that they feel like they're being taken seriously by him
(Bob also had a phase in college where he tried writing his own songs but he's mostly given up on that. It was enough to endear some girls toward him, but definitely not enough to have his big breakthrough and he's fine with that)
And my favourite hc is that Peter is a Youtuber
Yes, I am serious
It started out as Peter and Jeffrey making short work out videos and talking about different sports they're interested in but because of a very - very - stupid dare that was totally Jeffrey's fault, they ended up going to a haunted house
For fun
And that was the single most popular video on their channel for several months so Peter very reluctantly agreed to do more of these
More like, he's trying to talk his way out of going until the very last minute, he's arguing about turning back while they're already standing in front of the haunted place of the month
(The thing is, they don't try to fake any ghost appearances, so nothing much supernatural happens in any of these videos. Most viewers simply think it's super amusing to watch Peter nearly pee his pants because of wind blowing a window shut or something mundane like that)
Peter still insists on making videos about sport though
'That's why we made this channel in the first place, Jeff!'
Also, it's not spelled out or anything, but based on some of their vlogs, it seems pretty obvious that Peter and Jeffrey are dating
(Jeffrey has called Peter 'Babe' before during one of Peter's 'Why on earth are we always fucking with the ghosts' meltdowns)

I think it's pretty much canon that Jeff names his knives. Most people would think that he gives them badass names but nah...
His favorite is named Martha, no one else is allowed to touch her
There's also Kule, Austin and Annie, sometimes he talks to them (mostly about Liu)
No, you can't point it out/comment on it, it'll upset him
Smile is his best friend, Ben is jealous
His hair gets curly after a few days, which means he has to straighten it with an iron
He also puts his hair buns, or ponytails around the house (he looks good tbh)
^the reason he always has hair ties as well
He's either dead asleep or hasn't slept for 4 days straight, there's no in-between
Not a total asshole all the time, surprisingly
He doesn't make mean comments about things that hit too close to home
Like, sure he's gonna tease Toby for his ticks but he's never gonna mention his sister
He makes up his own curse words
He puts on chapstick, but no one knows
Everyone knows, they've seen him, Ben has a video
He talks during movies, questioning the logic and making comments about characters' decisions, nobody minds bc it's hilarious since everything he says is on point

Has a small cactus in his room, it was a gift from Ben, he takes good care of it
Ben:
He has freckles!!! He has freckles everywhere!!! (sorry I got excited, I just love freckles) but bc of the whole dead/demon thing, you have to get close to him of you want to see them
Owns a lot of fandom themed hoodies and t-shirts
He can mimic a lot of cartoons' voices, including the jigglypuff song, it's quite impressive
He's very proud of it
Ben is a genius, since he's mostly attached to a computer he has access to anything the internet has to offer, so lots of knowledge
Sometimes he can answer like Alexa/Siri does if someone calls his name and asks something
The others think he can't control it and ask him things all the time
He absolutely can control it and only does it to fuck with them by giving them bullshit answers that sound legit
He collects action figures, what a dork
Has a hamster, his name is Picachu
He gets teased a lot over it, let him live pls
The others secretly love it tho
Loves to watch people argue through their cameras
He lives for the drama
"Ben what are u doing?" "I'm watching this couple in New Jersey, apparently Sharon cheated on Nick again, but this time with his sister!!!"
When he giggles/gets embarrassed his ears become bright red
Sits on the floor, sits on tables, sits on Jane, Slender is convinced he doesn't know what a chair is
Jack:
Any perfume with a very heavy scent makes him sneeze a lot
He refuses to believe he is hurt/sick
Jack, while being held down by all the proxies: Guys, I told you I'm fINE, I CAN WORK TODAY, JUST LET ME GO!!
He has a lot of animal mannerisms
Like licking someone he likes on the cheek, purring/growling, sniffing etc
Bruh, you scratch behind his ears or under his chin and his whole chest vibrates with purring
He tilts his head on the side when he's confused, like a dog
Loves scented candles, he has a bunch of them in his room
His favorite scent is lavender
He can in fact eat human food, it just can't sustain him all that well and anything that is not overly seasoned tastes bland
With that being said, he loves spicy food bc he can taste it properly
Jane screamed when she saw him eat an entire plate of ghost peppers with no milk
The jingle of keys makes his head turn sharply towards the sound, once again like a dog
He can fall asleep anywhere, and I mean anywhere

Hey, I just typed all this out and it deleted it all. SO I’m literally stress crying while I try to remember everything. So sorry if the explanations seem short!
I still don’t know Stranger Things all that well BUT I’m putting 100% into this
Steve: ‘Believe It Or Not (Theme From “Greatest American Hero”) by Joey Scarbury. ‘: This is a cheesy song 100% so it’s perfect for such a cheesy boy. BUT in a more serious tone, it’s clear that Steve never really thought that highly of himself. Though he portrayed confidence, it was more of an act. This song sings highly of his development from season 1 to 2. He never thought he could be much of anything in life but then bam! It hit him like a ton of bricks! He actually fell in love with Nancy, became the kind of person some kid looks up to and he can’t believe it! It means the WORLD to him. He sings along to this song very cheesily anytime he hears it but we know he is very sentimental about it.

And the feeling of wanting to be with a girl who also deserves a way out of town!
Will: ‘I Won’t Back Down’ by Tom Petty: Will was forced to become a lot stronger at a much younger age than he was ready for because of all that he went through. But it allowed him to become a stronger kid. The first time he hears this song, he cries. It hits him somewhere deep inside. He’s fought before, he can & will fight again, He won’t back down.
Dustin: ‘Hold On Tight’ by Electric Light Orchestra: Dustin is such a happy, positive kid! He preaches the message of this song all the time! You can bet on that. And when he needs a pick-me-up, he goes right for this one! PLUS, he shares the same hairstyle with Jeff Lynne!!!!!! :’)
Mike: ‘(Everything I Do) I Do it For You’ by Bryan Adams: Mike is entirely too focused on Eleven. He hears this song and instantly feels his promise burning inside of him again. He will do anything to get Eleven back even though no one knows where she is. He plays this song while he paces his room, muttering to himself about how they need to make a plan to get her back.
Max: ‘Under Pressure’ by Queen & David Bowie: Max had to go through a lot of stress and pressure in her home-life.But she won’t dare let that stop her in life. She’s found love in her new friends & herself. Honestly, I can see this working for Lucas too.
Eleven: ‘St. Elmos Fire’ by John Parr: A song about overcoming, accomplishing and powering through. Eleven falls in love when she first hears this, alone on her bed. She feels that fire burning inside of her too. “You broke the boy in me, but you won’t break the man!”
