“You’re going to fall over, idiot,” you comment dryly to the man who struggles to walk across the room as he uses the wall as a crutch. Keegan and you were still recovering from the wounds of your previous mission—you with your shot shoulder and him his exploded side.

“Guess that means you can come over and help, huh?” Keegan grumbles, a glare meeting your raised brow.

“I wasn’t the one who decided to move around. I’m pretty comfortable over here if I do say so myself.”

“Gettin’ on my nerves again.” You smirk from the hospital’s reclining chair, head tilting.

The man was trying to get his exercise in, for whatever reason, and he found the best option for that was walking laps. You weren’t about to fault his instinctual nature as a soldier, but the way he’d gotten out of bed in only a hospital gown and uttered to you that he was ‘sick and tired of doing nothing’ was something that even a chocolate bar couldn’t beat right now.

Your smirk doesn’t leave. “I don’t know how you expected anything less, Russ.”

A scowl makes you snort.

“Keegan,” you level, “just take a breather, would you? You’re going to aggravate your wound and I’m not sittin’ through you grunting about your pulled stitches.”

“Can’t sit here any longer,” he grumbles. “Gettin’ antsy, Sweetheart.”

Your body nearly shivers at that. Sweetheart—that was a new one. You sigh softly, frowning.

All at once you stand and rub at the top of your sling, itching the strap before your feet pad over the tile to Keegan as his blue eyes shift over to yours. Your hand is leveled out in front of him, and after a moment he takes it, jaw clenched in the slight ache of his wound.

“You’re making yourself look old.” You state casually. “It’s embarrassing to watch.”

A dead glare is all you get before your eyes roll.

“C’mon, Old Timer, let’s get back to bed and I’ll call in your mashed potatoes for supper.”

“Stop it.”

“...What, do you want jello instead, I can ask for that no problem—” Lips are shoved to yours, severing the words from your mouth as you gasp; eyes fluttering wide before they fall back down like feathers.

Keegan kisses you heavily, his nose puffing breaths onto your cheek before he once more pulls back and stares at you.

“You need to know when to cut yourself off, Princes.” He smirks. “Don’t worry, I’ll catch you.”

Your face is molten lava, and after a stuttering moment, you let him lean on you as you drag him back to bed.

“You’re a pain in my ass, Keegan.”

“Likewise.”

I would like to begin by saying that I absolutely love your if. Adore it to bits. Would pay to give MC their much needed hug and pat Helios and Fadiya. Why is Luceris such a manhwa ml.

Like, Oml, bro literally checks all the boxes.

White or black hair? Check.

Blue or red eyes? Check.

Daddy issues and a dead mom? Check.

Laments how miserable he is because of the scheming people around him while sitting in his luxurious bed in his bedroom that's like the size of 3 living rooms while somebody fans him with a palm leaf very slowly and a maid feeds him grapes that probably got harvested from a plant that was watered using the tears or a starving medieval peasant? The vibes are saying check.

And most important of all... He falls in love with a blonde person. Oh and who's also nice and nothing like the scheming nobles??? AND THEN HE GOES PSYCHO MURDER MODE WHEN SHE DIES???

Coe, with all due respect, Lancelot is just waiting to fall down a flight of stairs, hit his head without dying, and regain the memories of his past life as a broke 17 year old with parental issues who got hit by a truck while saving a kid.

Lemme tell you a thing: This is Atlas. Pirate, Prince and occasionally bbg.

He left the palace while he was still a child after his father ordered him dead for practicing sorcery. That’s when he met Clara and they became pirates. After the Godess Love convinced him he is now going to take back the throne. But guess what. He didn’t originally exist. He’s absolutely vital to the plot now and has his own POV but originally he didn’t. Originally Magic’s Treason was a story acting as a sequel to a prequel to a different book I wanted to write. This was because I was submitting it to my school to be put on their website thing and I didn’t want to use the idea I liked the most so I just came up with a different thing in that world. That was two very short chapters about Clara (who was going to be a magical pirate child in a prequel who then was related to a main character in a future different revolution plot) and about Chaos who was sort of the same as he is now but with some stolen backstory from Atlas.

Now you may ask; where did Atlas come from then? He came from a variety of places. He’s sort of based on this one shapeshifter OC I like to stick in everything. But I was starting to toy with the idea of giving him his own story inspired by a few books I’d read but I was never very sure about it because it seemed too unoriginal and just mostly vibes no plot. But I knew one thing about that world I wanted to put him in was that magic wasn’t allowed. And then when I went back to Magic’s Treason I had the epiphany that he would fit well into this other magic-forbidden world. He was already a pirate like Clara. And his Prince-ly connections could fit interestingly into this too. And then because I was already completely in love with him as a character and knew him very well it felt only natural to write some of it in his POV.

I honestly think his addition to the story was the best decision I could have ever made. Without him I don’t think I would have finished the first draft. I think there would have always been something missing from it. And I think writing in his POV has helped me to in tern develop my other characters to sound more unique and have more personality.

Also fun fact: I still daydream about different variants of him in other media. Sometimes these then give me story ideas and there then become variants of his variants in other WIP’s. They usually end up completely different though but like he is the origin of all character life.

samoa joe vs. hangman page vs. swerve strickland: this is the only match i don't think anyone can guess the outcome of like. samoa joe hasn't been a champ for very long, hangman is DEAD SET on not letting swerve be the new champ, and swerve has been built up to be this crazy loved star, despite his extreme heel tendencies its a lot !! but i do kinda feel like joe will retain. its either joe or swerve - or, fuck it, maybe a time limit draw. i don't think they'd do that, though. i am hoping swerve wins, but at the same time, i want joe to retain. tough choices. the build up to this match has been nuts and so so entertaining, maybe the best part of aew lately.

sting & darby allin vs. young bucks: damn i just realized sting and darby never got a tag name LMAO anyways, the bucks are winning this one. obviously. OBVIOUSLY. i'm excited for this match too purely because sting and darby have talked about how theyre going all out for it and its like. how much more can you do that you havent already done? theyre gonna bbq the bucks yall.. i can see them losing the belts here and darby turning heel after (-his trip up mount everest) said fact because maybe he'd blame himself for the loss in kayfabe or what have you, i think the aftermath is gonna hit, especially if you really like darby, but this match is also gonna be crazy emotional from start to finish and i hope sting appears every now and then after :")

"Ouch Karen that hurt me real bad see" he said as he held up his arm then acted distracted he whispered to Karen "look there's something in your shirt then he lightly flicked his finger in her nose as she sat there all puzzled .

you know an episode will be good when where's no opening

so, the twins are meant to be characterized straightforward in every anime adaptation, ig. it's not bad, but the manga twists their personalities 180° and it adds SO MUCH nuance (I'll talk about this at length some day)

tbh I had to pause for laughter when knives was YEETED outta the gate (I have sense of humor of a five year old)

everybody already said everything, but still. OG HAIR COMEBACK OMG AHRAHAAKFJDlahjddjha!!!!!!!! ;!!! ;! and not only hair, but the whole characterization this episode was much closer to trimax vash, and not just sadboy depressive bbg

MERYL/REM PARALLELS LETS GOOOO!!! like, I guessed this would happen, but the visuals, the tension and pure GRATITUDE in vash's voice when he was able to break free from his mental prison... we're eating good

speaking of eating, I CAN'T get over that moment when vash deadass BIT KNIVES. that's peak sibling behavior, he's literally fighting tooth and nail over there

also mashwood is so real tonight!! love love love meryl&nico interactions in stampede, they barely spoke to each other in other versions! and the look of relief on vash's face when he sees nico skedaddling away with meryl!!! he's so glad that they're gonna be okay and that nico made the right choice and came back to help, if briefly. interstingly, he was able to remember everyone, but after the explosion at the end he still lost his memory.

and THE WINGS, DUDE!!!! it gives the finale of trimax, when they both had only one wing left..... still missing feathers, but I love the diversity with knives's, eh... knives, and vash's energy/void or whatever that is, I support it

he's so pathetic even when he looks cool, homeboy had NO control when he used his wing for the first time... cudos for learning new powers on the spot tho

(tw this post is abt death/grief/suicide)

so. idk this post wasn't supposed to be deep, but the more i think about it, the more it is. by accident, we found out today that the 20 y/o son of my neighbours died. it just put a lot into perspective for me. that boy has a 14 y/o sister. my brother and i have a six year age gap. in some other universe, that could've been me dead and my brother alone. it just made me realise how prominent death is. life isn't a promise. you aren't guaranteed tomorrow. or the day after. or 60+ more years. you don't get that.

this january, one of my best friends tried to OD because of mock exams (im sure it was much more than that, but superficially). she only realised she didn't want to die after taking the pills. imagine if she had been alone that night. imagine if she hadn't been able to vomit that night. imagine if she hadn't changed her mind. also most of my friends' older siblings have tried to kill themselves. but hey, now my friend has a boyfriend and she's so in love with him, and she's doing so so well and he treats her amazingly. (he calls her bbg but we can look past that i guess...)

what im trying to convey is that nothing is a promise, and one day all of this is going to stop. i dont mean to scare anyone, but i think everyone needs to just do whatever they want or need. take risks and kiss that person, or make friends with this person, or leave that friend group, or tell someone you love them. read or write, or learn to do a hobby you've been meaning to do. you can't say, oh it's fine i'll do it after so-and-so, or i'll do it next year. do it now. or as soon as you're able to. you, and the people around you, are not permanent. you don't get to live forever. and it's honestly a lot harder to live than to die. so yeah. idk what i'm saying really. please treasure your life though 💗 and please don't craft your life around other people.

Episode 5 rambling

Poor dude in the dump

Everyone’s trying to figure out who the zombie drone that woke up in the dump from ep 5 is right?

Okay well I saw it and I’m pretty sure it’s just some random dude

My reasoning is that the guy seems to only have a helmet, we’d be able to tell if it was a drone like Cyn and N (who lots of ppl think the guy is from what I’ve seen) bc yknow they aren’t bald they got a head of hair

Also, bro’s screen is very much cracked. And yes yes I know they could have repaired him and shit but would the humans do that? Unless Tessa had that sort of knowledge at that age I feel like her relatives would REFUSE to repair a zombie drone bc like “wtf ur supposed to dead EW GROSS”

And to the arm band with the name cyn on it. I honestly feel like Cyn just saw it on it’s host/husk/disguise thing’s arm and was like “aight I’ll go by that then”

ThunderCats #2 & 3

!!Spoilers under the cut!!!

If you don't care about spoilers but want to know the story I will be basically going over everything while interjecting my thoughts

Unspoiled Review: Amogoos Imposter te he

Well, I should have expected TC2011 to affect this but I didn't realize how much.

As mentioned in a previous post I missed #1 so I had to sort of gather context clues on what the fuck has happened but pretty much we are in TC 1985 Exodus. But apparently years have passed? I don't know if this is in reference to the lightyears traveled via spaceship or if these guys were G1 Transformer kept in stasis in crashzone. The location looks to be near or in the Sand Sea.

They finally let Lion-O grieve, #2 opens with him dreaming and wanting Jaga to be here. I like how awkward things are between the Kittens and Lion-O, it really helps people understand how jarring the rapid aging is.

The Cats are dismantling a Mutant ship and everyone is grappling with grief and the new power structure, as usual Tygra and Cheetara are the ones who are having to balance every ones emotions. Cheetara, Panthero, and Tygra come across a Thunderian refugee who was hiding in a compartment on the Mutant ship. Her name is Calica and she claims to have been a captive on the ship before it crashed. Everyone accept Lion-O is suspicious of her (where have I seen this before) but they can't question her further due to Lion-O stopping them. She seems to have Mumm-Ra's interest [please don't make him a freak please :( ] I suspect they 2011 Pumyra'd her and she's going to betray the Cats at some point, or they T-Girled Pumm-Ra. Either way is a big L for Lion-O who has a crush on her. God poor kid cant catch a break with accidentally falling in love with un-dead girls.

I LOOOVE TYGRA ARGH!!! He is so me. Anyway on to #3.

Calica is fucking lurking around the ship, Panthero lets her know that he does not trust her.

She goes to Lion-O, the Sword of Omens opens up a portal and SNARF APPEARS!!!! Snarf in this version can talk, just telepathically and only to Lion-O. He was in a magical armory and was placed there by King Claudis 3 months before Thundera blew. Calica said she heard Snarf talk then takes it back (sus) so Panthero tells her to stay outside with the twins while the others go inside the portal. When exiting Lion-O notices that Calica didnt enter with them and yells at Pathero for not allowing her in. Panthero then hits Lion-O, which I find heavily out of character, and Cheetara hits Panthero back, challenging him to a "Thunder-Dual" to regain his place back in the ThunderCats for assaulting their king.

The Thunder-Dual, however stupid sounding the name is, was awesome! So sorry two bad bitches were pitted against each other but both fought beautifully. I am so glad they did not write off Cheetara as "the girl to fight over" like 2011 did. She wins the dual and Panthero apologizes for hitting Lion-O but not for his actions regarding Calica. Which good for him for standing on that bc this gal is unfortunately suspicious as fuuuck.

Meanwhile Mumm-Ra is 2011 interrogating Jaga. He does not like that and I am loving the horror elements in this run a lot. It meshes well with the humor throughout it

Sssslythe runs into Monkian, and like in the 2011 series its looking like the Mutants are assembling for the first time while the run goes on.

Mumm-Ra apparently is showing his mug next issue which I'm sad about. I like it when he's pulling strings in the background and playing a chess with the Cats. Not to mention him looming and lurking makes him seem like bigger threat. Buuut thats just my gripe with ThunderCats in general I guess, Mumm-Ra is less Fantasy BBG or a Xanatos.

Overall I love the art and its keeping me interested in the story, I have issues with Panthero's characterization. I really don't think he would ever hit Lion-O, like belittle him yes but never physical violence. He has a temper yes but hitting Lion-O? Who he views as a kid??? Idk maybe it's my series only view of him, I never read the Marvel Star or Wildstorm comics so maybe he's done something like this before. I do need to track down #1 because I need to know what the fuck is up with the timeframe
