i actually enjoy farcille! it was originally mehtp for me but after i figured out that i do enjoy making them struggle with their relationship before they actually figure out how to love each other as equals i like them as otp

so as spoiler for the ending im planning for my comic: kabru tells falin it's no good to decide whether she should continue her relationship with marcille or not at this point where she's still confused about her feelings. so he suggests falin should go on her travel around the world to see how she would feel when she's away from marcille. "marcille can be overbearing because she experienced almost losing you. i'm not saying what she's doing is right, of course, but i am saying that you'll have an easier time deciding whether you truly love her or not if you know how it feels like to be without her."

and in the end, falin realizes she wants to be with marcille, but she wants to start over first as friends, to get to know each other as proper equals, instead of a senior who took her of her junior, instead of a distressed savior and her damsel. "i don't want to lose you, marcille"

it's actually, genuinely, honestly hilarious that in a fandom where popular ships include characters who are biologically related, characters with a 10+ year age gap who met when one was a teenager or even a child, and characters who have tried to kill each other, people hate on a friends-to-lovers ship with a <2 year age gap where the characters have a deep emotional bond and plenty of romantic subtext, because "they're siblings". my brother in the force they are literally not.

like who cares if they shared a kiss at the end of doomstar requiem, they didn’t have anything substantial between them in canon. she was a throwaway character to cause conflict and bc of that her part in doomstar requiem was bullshit. and i say this with A Lot of love for this character. like im glad brandon small saw the whole lot of nothing abigail and nathan had and decided shed go her separate way, bc not only was she was gonna do that anyway, it shows that he recognized that relationship, from what we see in canon, sucked big time actually.

this is a writing mistake he fixed imo, instead of a convenient plot device thatll take her away from the events of the movie so she doesnt have to be meaningfully written, she just walks out of the story for herself because shes been done since Going Downklok.

the thing about mightourge is that ive never seen a single piece of content for that ship that doesnt make one or both of them wildly out of character. its always making scourge into this like. uwu soft boy who just needs someone to love him and then he'll become good. even though hes evil he sucks the whole idea behind his creation was just sonic but if he was an asshole. and mighty is a nice guy who doesnt particularly like needless violence but they always make him go "i can fix him <3333" over scourge. even though he is Like That. if we're going by their canon personalities mighty probably wouldnt be romantically interested in scourge at all. it feels like a ship that was invented for people who never actually read archie sonic and just like the version of scourge that exists in their head that they got from fanart and fanfiction. idk how to explain my thoughts properly but hopefully people will understand
