im so tired of analog horror thats like "heres some instructional tapes ^_^ actually its gonna glitch out and show bloody images or secret things people should never see ooo" like. i wish more people would just commit to JUST the old tapes or smth of the like, and build up a more eerie atmosphere through normal storytelling,

petscop wasnt rlly analog horror specifically, but it didnt once have a jump cut to spooky imagery to go back to the base gameplay and be like "oh haha wasnt that weird and scary? ^_^" and instead just. Built up its atmosphere without jumpscares. even so it still felt like there MIGHT be a jumpscare at any second. idk

analog horror makers could do better

#the wolfs howl #watching a vid on some jurassic park analog horror series and it jumped from like. instructions to bloody trex murder glitched image #and it just? doesnt hit #the walten files also does it well because like. it plays with volume and instead of glitching 2 weird images its more of a jump shift #idk!! i wanna look into more analog horror serieses on my own but theres always so much lore or shit 2 consider like i dont feel like-#-decoding all that man. or going out of my way 2 find it idk!#idk.#also i think mandela catalogue or whatever is boring and overhyped #ok bye bye

im playing botw for the first time and i have only played a part of a zelda game before so im basically a newbie here

here's what i learned so far:

-link is hearing voices

-they will kick chests open and then get surprised when their foot hurts

-if you leave them alone for like a minute they start flexing

-also you can jump off cliffs in this game and there very much is fall damage

#this may turn into one of my long ass posts with hundreds of screenshots of quotes from the books #but i dont have the energy for that just now #anyway. this moment makes me wanna throw shit at the walls. their relationship is my favourite thing from the very beginning #but dumas went really went out of his way to make it even more insane in the last book #and dont hit me with a 'aww they have such a big/little brother energy its so cute uwu' please im begging you stop saying that #nothing irks me more than hearing their relationship described as something that innocent. its so much more complex and intense come on #there is pure visceral hate there. jealousy. bile. cruelty. some fucked up form of codependency even? maybe? from d'artagnan's side?#there's nothing more horrible and cruel than the fact that THEY are the only two left alive in the end (not for long but yknow)#they would NEVER be friends if not for athos (and they would never hate each other so much if not for him too)#they hate each other so so much. but remember that d'artagnan starts out being absolutely bedazzled by aramis and looking up to him #his first impression of aramis is just. hearteyes and 'wow i wish that were me'. he doesnt do that even with athos at first.#he grows to adore athos yes but upon first meeting him he doesnt think much of him. unlike with aramis.#and then it changes instantly. does a 180° flip when aramis is a bitch to him.#and it stays that way for the entirety of the trilogy. until this moment. this one short moment when d'artagnan #who. mind you. is not innocent himself and was also manipulating the hell out of porthos and talking shit about aramis behind his back.#but he makes that step. he reaches out. I finally got really into City Skylines recently and I have to say, if you get the game you NEED the natural disaster pack. If not for the new gameplay features and the chaos of natural disasters, get it so when you make a city and you know you're not gonna play it again. There's nothing more fun to decide that you're done for the day and then unloading 15 meteors on your city.

#simon says #the only downside is it made me give up on a town i wanted to keep playing because i got hit with a tsunami #and bc the game gave me an extreme tsunami it wiped out the whole city. and it was a BIG city.#so it was a lot of bulldosing and it made me give up playing that town #however I might have a save pre tsunami so i can probably just prepare for it and prevent it #or if I dont just get back into playing it and bulldose it #i dont wanna give up on Freak Town (home of the freaks) USA #but my friend got me the industry pack so now I wanna make pollution town #freaktown was a great beginner town since it was islands which meant i could designate each small island to be whatever i needed #so ive been struggling with the larger spaces. but i wanna make it work for pollution town #no... pollution city #city skylines
