Studio Wabi Sabi announced today that they will close down their artist management department and from now on focus on production.
Artist management will continue as usual until the end of established contracts (and there's currently a lot of artists on Wabi Sabi's roster ... they haven't even updated their website yet).
Several artists have already terminated their contracts and jumped ship over to gmmtv:

I don't know what this means for... literally all of my faves (who are at this point still with Wabi Sabi) but I hope Bas, Earth, Benz, Art, Tor and Oat will quickly find new managements too. Bas doen't even have one (1) finished Wabi Sabi Project under his belt (the Fourever Project pilot trailer not counting). 😭

Things I was happy about in the episode:
Pretty much everything actually. The Fukuchi 36 years reveal was rushed due to the pacing but it made sense and finally explained why the hell he would go about blowing up the world when he was so motivated by the horrors of war. It also leads itself into some interesting questions for later. But I'll list some other highlights:
The pretty flashbacks
Aya and Bram :) Also Bram getting his body back.
Whoever "that man" was that Fyodor mentioned. I am intrigued tell me more. Does this mean that Fyodor was projecting his feelings towards his rivalry with an ex onto Dazai. That would be so funny. (Also I wonder about his age still... how long ago are we talking?)
Dazai's strength explicitly being stated as the absolute trust he has in his allies, as opposed to Fyodor's need for complete control. <-I mean. We all knew but it's the confirmation that's nice.
Nikolai's conflicted emotions on Fyodor's death getting focus and attention - and Dazai not saying anything and just letting him feel whatever he's feeling. My poor jester lad.
Chuuya trying and failing to pull the fangs out of his mouth
Poor Teruko having to deliver the final blow
Semi-confirmed old man yaoi??? Like. The way that whole scene was framed between Teruko, Fukuchi, and Fukuzawa. Um.
Fukuchi's dying moments. Fukuzawa trying and failing to throw away One Order. The most emotional and devastated we've ever seen him. Ranpo knowing he can't throw it away. For all I was saying earlier, guys I'm so so glad he isn't dead.
Whatever that last bit was??? Are we changing the setting? Is this what happens after the other side of the Page is activated? Are we pulling in mythology? Sskk complete confidence and Atsushi smiling at Akutagawa? Hell yeah?????
Things I am not sure yet how to feel about:
Fyodor's apparent death. If he really did just die and won't be back in any capacity... it's kind of a let down. He. Barely did anything. But I feel like there's still going to be something. Like even if he's dead for good he'll still haunt the story in some way.
Hope they do something more with Teruko after this. Interesting to have her end things like that but. Please can we elaborate on her more. Other than just she had feelings for him. Please.
No involvement from Yosano or Kyouka or Kouyou. I get that it was already busy and crammed enough as is, so it wouldn't have worked to shoehorn them in at this point but. Please do something with them in the next arc.
Things I did not like:
...Chuuya wasn't really a vampire he was just wearing contacts and glue in fangs the entire time. 🙄

As chaotic as session 7 of Secret Life is, it is definitely more miss than hit for me so far. Probably only gonna watch one or two more POVs if anything.
It's not like it was awful or anything, but I'm just not particularly a fan of warbsituations in general — not my taste, I much prefer the character driven stuff (at least let the war be by someone's choice...! The random task aspect just takes away any responsibility and implications on anyone's character)
I'd like to hope we can get some interesting character moments next session where people figure out how they feel about the boogey betrayals and the various alliances resettle, but the way things are going I don't think things'll really calm down enough to get much of that. Ah well, the rest of this season has been probably my favorite ever, pretty much tailored to my tastes, so I'm fine with this — can't have everything after all!
Hope y'all who love the chaos and destruction have fun with this :)

I say this only cuz other posts sparked my own thoughts on the matter, not as a disagreement:
I always thought the alternate endings of pizzeria sim implied you weren't Michael in them?? Like in true ending you are Michael but in the others you're just some random asshole who took the job.
It especially tracks to me when you consider how you fail in the other endings; if you don't salvage the animatronics, not following the contract, that implies to me that you're a random schmuck who read the thing, saw how fucking disgusting springtrap was and decided this couldn't possibly be part of your job- or you were just scared of them! But Mike wouldn't refuse to salvage and leave them to roam the streets more, yknow? He knows they're a threat.
Insanity ending too: why would Henry care if Michael knew how some of the tech worked? And everything else implied in the tape are things Michael could have plausibly known already. To me, it makes way more sense to frame the player in that ending as insane if they're completely unrelated to the incidents prior to this and Henry is trying to make sure no one is left who would mess with it. If he knows Mike is "where he wants to be" in the good ending, why would Mike seeing some files he likely could guess the contents of a reason to throw him out rather than just letting him burn in a couple days anyway?
This doesn't apply so straightforward to the being bad at business endings, but those are also less lore implicative in my opinion.
The final thing that makes me think this is Henry's speech before the fire. When he says "a job not intended for you," we can safely assume he wasn't trying to hire Michael, implying he was trying to hire someone else. Combining that with the insanity ending, it really feels to me that Henry was trying to hire a random person who wouldn't understand what was going on but would hopefully just follow the contract to a T and not ask questions. This didn't happen, because what he's trying to ask people to do is batshit insane; Michael was really the perfect candidate at the end, and the only one willing to take the risks of salvaging all the animatronics necessary.

I was briefly chatting with a buddy of mine (here on the tumbls), and we both agreed on something about the new fangled tumblr polls, which is that some of these poll questions are a little too personal for our taste. Lemme explain.
--> “what season were you born in?” --> “what movie came out the year you were born” --> “if you have siblings, where do you fall? baby? first born? etc” --> “what region of the US were you born in?”
Sure, some of these are very broad questions, fairly innocuous even. But as my friend said, “Like aren’t these questions people use to steal your identity??” Call us old and/or paranoid, but I’m not answering those particular poll questions. Like the polls really may not be that deep and 100% harmless fun, but I’d rather remain on the cautious side of things. 🧐

Now that my M induced high is wearing off, here's a pretty long rant about things I didn't like about the book in general (Especially the last third)
The book started pretty great, I really enjoyed the demo so I was excited for more. By the middle I was fighting to pay attention to the plot and by the end I was rolling my eyes and honestly, pretty over it.
I loved the romance (M route) and the little friendship moments, but the rest... I have seen some people talk already how it felt like a collection of random scenes and I agree, especially with all the little times skips, it really read like Sera just wrote two separate things and then didn't know how to connect then so "2 weeks later" "that evening" "time has passed".
General plot
The blood drive was pointless, I don't know if it's possible to fail and have your blood taken, but unless that happens it added nothing to the story.
The kidnappings were more interesting but got pretty old quickly and I got tired of the same formula every fight. Either you choose the right option and win (And for my deduction/knowledge based detective they were so stupid. If I had a shot everytime the answer was to move aside and let the enemy trip I will be so drunk) or you choose the wrong one and end up being saved by UB.
The Agency
All the agency related things weren't interesting to me, I don't care about the chamber, I don't care about Rebecca, the new friend (In my case Tapeesa) it's not bad but I forget she exists most of the time. I'm pretty disappointed about having the detective working more with them because I love the station and the people there.
Sin's role
Sin had so much potential and it ended up being so irrelevant. There's no way you can convince me he couldn't actually take the detective, at least if they used his moral conflict as a reason it would be better, but the book was seriously acting like he couldn't do anything after a punch in the face. "The human can pass my barrier so guess I, the stronger, more powerful and able to fly being, can't do anything more. Time to go"
Sir my detective is bleeding out and you're saying you can catch her because she's going around a couple of bricks?
And the resolution felt so weird. I chose the research route so I was really hoping to talk about him about the reports of trappers trying to make fake bonds and all that, instead my detective just went "The bond is fake! Believe me!!" And it worked? It felt like I was missing pages, because we went from point A to B in five seconds.
And what I hated the most
The final fight.
I'm sorry but it was ridiculous. We had no mention of the trappers even considering to bring the detective to their side and now you're telling me you're inviting them to your weird auction and hoping they will be okay with it? Without any trap? Any secret master plan to take their blood?
And then when they show up you believe they're on your side because your employees didn't smell vampires nearby? No mather that just 2 days ago they were actively fighting against you?
And it would be so easy to fix it, add a couple of scenes with the trappers trying to swing the detective mind or use Tapeesa, or Tina, or Verda as bait to forcing them to come and try to kill them (Which I thought was going to happen, but then Tapeesa was just used to gauge a reaction?)
And don't make me start on the lack of security. You expect me to believe in such a big event there was no one keeping an eye on the prisioners? Rebecca could just slide there and free then without even alerting anyone.
And of course my detective just took the main guy out making him trip and fall against a tree.
The whole thing felt so anticlimactic.
Rogue leader
And of course we need the setup for the next book, so suddenly the guy is happy to be arrested because otherwise the rogue leader would kill him. Even though he didn't show any fear before.
We know she exists, we most likely know who she is (I will be surprised if it's not Rook's sister or at least some family member), why have her be some kind of twist at the end instead of using her to develop other characters and their motivations? Show her connection with the trappers instead of telling me it exists at the end. It just felt like a lazy excuse to introduce the next villain

i didn't rb it because i agreed with less than 50% of it and did not vibe with the tone at all but i saw this post talking about the barbie movie and how the entire internet has come together to rewrite history into "loving pink and playing with barbies was the Universal AFAB Experience and it's unfeminist not to relate or enjoy barbies because if you do then you hate women and having fun and women having fun" which. damn. yeah. like i have nothing against the barbie movie, i have nothing against barbie in general, but it's so fucking wild to experience the exact same alienation as an agender young adult as i did when i was a gnc little girl. being socially scolded for not wanting to play with barbies or dress in hyperfeminine pink dresses and heels all over again. fuck. i didn't realize why i was chafing against the barbie madness so much until i read that paragraph of that post.

I feel like I would really be loving comics so much more if a lot of things happening now had just happened in the 2010s when I was getting back into them and instead of the 2020s when I’m all burnt out.

I thought it was just me, the promo made me so uncomfortable. If there's a lot of stuff like this in the ep...
Nah, you're definitely not alone. I've been stressed and uncomfortable since they uttered the words "serial killer" in the promo on Tuesday. I'm used to this dumb wee woo fire show providing me with ridiculous fire calls and weird medical emergencies, not serial killers ripped straight from a criminal minds episode.
Tumblr media
Similar to any other storyline I don't care for but can recognize other people are excited for, I'm trying to focus on being happy that people in fandom who really wanted Carlos whump are getting that to the 1000th degree with this.
but like, I've seen that promo auto-play on my feed at least 8 times already 🙈 and I know I'm going to have to figure out how to navigate around gifs and posts about this episode for at least a week after too and all of that added together just stresses me out even more. like do I just filter out Carlos' name for a week? how do I even avoid it?

NGL the main reason I like Wednesday is for what it COULD be. Not what it is which is honestly an annoying Riverdale-esque Addams Family spin.

I'm worried about the people saying they like the art style in Eng*ge. I cannot handle it if this character design is popular and the series continues in this direction 😭
