🌺 — Ashi has absolutely NO idea how makeup works 😭😭 “oh I know concealer! then it’s like eyelashes and eyeliner and eyeshadow and lipstick… uhh… and uh… uh… WHAT DO YOU MEAN DO I KNOW WHAT FOUNDATION DOES. HOW WOULD I KNOW” meanwhile ace over here is all “oh yeah that does that for that and blabalabahalh” and so it’s a funny dynamic of “ash, you’d look good w this” and “what. what is that” 😭😭 personally I like to think that ace does makeup on her for fun because a pretty face like hers has SM POTENTIAL that its like “??? HOW DO YOU NOT DO ANYTHING W IT???” and also the fact that. ashi’s one of the prettiest people at NRC and she’s completely natural is so good

❤️ — ashace has like. A LOT of dynamics within them (besties, besties to lovers, mutual pining, rivals, etc etc) but their romantic dynamic (AKA what I think most of y’all are curious about) is

SPOILERS FOR BOOK 5 BUT LIKE so in another AU (called yuuniverse might talk about it more another time; but the yuus can basically learn magic as long as they work hard enough) Ashi reveals her UM in book 5 😭😭 and its like?? she’s aware that Ace could totally feel inferior when two of his favorite people end up getting a head start over him but she reveals hers because “deuce hasn’t gotten his yet so Ace’ll have deuce” and then BAM deuce gets his. AND IM LIKE??? POOR ACEY…

but even just canon where ashi’s magicless she’s just so naturally talented and excels at so many things w such ease that like YAY ACE HAS COMPETITION. BUT THE INFERIORITY ISSUES RHAT COULD STEM FROM IT….. UGHHAGSHVWSHWH yeah. them

❤️ — Ashi freaks the hell out and bursts out red when ace grabs AAAANYWHEFE LIKE. around her midriff/hips and once Ace figures that out she’s done 😭😭 tryna tease me??? yoink I’ve got your hips <3 she loses all power

TBH on the other hand I do think that ace would freak w anywhere on his head??? like head pats head scratches blabalaha <3 v cute and he’ll melt into Ashi during cuddling sessions v easy

Ashi has a habit on grabbing onto people’s arms and leaning her head on people’s shoulders when she likes them (platonically or romantically) and w ashace they hang out SO MUCH that Ashi pretty much always does this 😭😭 espec when she’s tired, she’ll just lean her head on ace’s and close her eyes and fall asleep maybe 🙏

🌺 — ………if ashace have kids the two names they’re planning for are Avila and Alexander (Alex can go both ways, avila’s for a girl <3) to keep the trend of having every family members initials be A.T. 🫶 speaking of initial’s ashi’s and Ace’s are the exact same already 😭😭 both are A.T. (totally not foreshadowing I swear)

❤️ — ace pops by ramshackle for sleepovers WAYYYYYY more often than he does in canon and he NEVER STOPS TRYING TO SLEEP W ASHI. after a while she lets him because they’re close enough friends but like DW THEY DONT GET TOO IN CONTACT. maybe pre-relationship there’s some tickle war’s and movie watching but they don’t cuddle 😔 once they DO get into a relationship they cuddle and ashi’s the little spoon and it is so cozy because her bed is covered in pillows and fluffy things <3

🌺 — Leona legally (and secretly) adopts Ashi during her time in twisted wonderland (they’re like annoyed older brother and annoying little sister dynamic to the max) and Leona’s really protective of her, and so you BET when ace gets w Ashi he has to talk all smooth around Leona if he doesn’t wanna get pummeled 😭😭 for all Leona yumers out there you’re basically ashi’s mom now (sorry not sorry DW she’s responsible)

You get together! Your child is an ass! YOUR CHILDREN SWAP PLACES. They try and get you and your ex back together! You still have feelings for your ex! But you also love your boyfriend. The inner conflict??

And GRIAN. Same start as mumbo. But you're alone! Thats ok though, you dont need anyone else. Children. Swap. Places. But mumbo is with someone now! Hes happy! And you can't have feelings for him still right? No, that would be silly. You deny it. You pull away. Everything sets fire because thats a great representation of the mental stateof everyone at this point <33

Don’t tell me theres a point where everyone is broken up- emotionally and literally i mean... and then they have to sit and actually TALK to eachother... (although we both know you are excellent at writing talks) figure out their issues... think about the future... and where it leves them...

How can you be PROUD of yourself for encouraging my silly fluffy and angsty ideas? ....... I love them-

You may in fact hug Scar because warning, it is physically impossible for me to write a fic where Scar does not either physically or emotionally suffer <3 Being my bias means being pitiful and hurt between the bamfery <3<3 He will be put through the ringer BUT IT'S OKAAAAAY IT'S FIIIIIINE THERE'S A HAPPY ENDING <3 That probably begins as a V poly before eventually becoming a △ poly bc Scar and Grian wouldn't really know each other very well at that point but neither would ever ask Mumbo to give up someone he loves because they're both open-minded people who want Mumbo to be happy <3

Like imagine Mumbo and Grian sitting Grum and Jrum down to talk to them, finally tell them the truth about everything and answer their questions, and the old feelings coming back and they're able to laugh together and look like a family, and then Scar comes around the corner (out of sight) and just stops and watches them and realizes he really is an outsider here, b/c Mumbo and Grian are laughing together again and the twins look so happy- and Grum is smiling like he never does when Scar (and Tubbo) are around and just. Thinking that's how things should be, and just quietly leaving thinking about it and and and-

YEAH what a blow that will be <3 Mumbo will also suffer because his grumpy kid doesn't want a NEW family, just wants the family Mumbo they lost back and almost loses Scar (and Tubbo) AND Grian almost doesn't stay anyway when he comes to collect his kid (but oh how now that Grian knows Grum he doesn't want to let go, and same for Mumbo with Jrum </3 So now a proper and fair custody is needed and just hjfdsjk) but yeah Mumbo and Grum very nearly ending up alone AGAIN and Grum just realizing what he's cost Mumbo (at least Grum blames himself for it) bc Mumbo doesn't want to lose Scar just like he didn't want to lose Grian and just hjfdsjkfd

And Grian finding out that what happened ~11 years ago was a massive horrible terrible misunderstanding and Mumbo let him leave anyway, and finding out that Mumbo still loves him but Mumbo also has someone new who he loves and who loves him and just. Seeing what a mess everything is. And thinking he and Mumbo lost their chance over a decade ago and demanding if Mumbo is REALLY going to just let Scar walk away like he let Grian, AND over another misunderstanding (though this one a bittersweet misunderstanding rather than whatever absolute disaster happened between Mumbo and Grian), and just sjkfgdsfgk

AND YES THE BONDING. The sibling bonding. Grum having avoided Tubbo for the time he's known him, but Jrum quickly befriending Tubbo (and learning Tubbo and Scar's story that Grum never knew jhfdsjk) and Grum seeing his twin and Tubbo being friends and instead of being upset or jealous starts wondering what HE missed and just. Just. The crushing realization that he'll never know when Mumbo sits him down and tells him Scar and Tubbo aren't coming home and the "what have I done" when he sees how TIRED and SAD Mumbo is and thinks he's ruined his dad's second chance at happiness, gave up what he already had for something that he never even had in the first place and just hjfdsjkf. SO MUCH needing to be fixed I just-

Lucky Egg - Gym theme/team

sat here for like an hour last night thinking of what to do a gym theme/team for and it mostly boiled down to “what are my favorite types and what are my favorite guys of those types” so there was like. a ghost team and a dragon team. bc unsurprisingly those are my favorite types. but then I had an idea that was infinitely funnier and more cohesive as a theme and that’s a psychic type gym but with the theme of what I like to call Little Freak Bitches That Hover Ominously Over Your Bed

each of them just appeared in my house one day and we decided to start a gym about it. could be swept by a single bug type but we’re having fun and that’s what matters. Also an excuse to give some love to some underrated faves

beheeyem - just an all around excellent little freak bitch with psychic powers. 10/10 at hovering ominously over the bed

musharna - mostly just bc i love that one post of the guy waking up to one at the foot of his bed. i think theyd be soft to the touch and the smoke would feel like silk and tastes like nostalgia

claydol - the baltoy line has a special place in my heart bc i found a shiny one in my sns playthrough. so this one would be shiny too

bronzong - was always drawn to this guy+bronzor and im not really sure why? could be switched with lunatone for extra ominous hovering action

sigilyph - THEE MOST OF ALL TIME. its just so strange looking its like a windchime and i bet it hums ancient songs from within its clay body. i want to hug one. excels in beam attacks and staring. this guy would be my main.

solosis - is less of a freak bitch and mostly just little. the heart of the team. he sits in my lap while i work and doesnt participate in gym battles

Apricorn - Favorite fossil pokemon

hmmm solid tie between archeops and tyrantrum. For the longest time when I was a kid archeopteryx was my favorite dinosaur, and so when archeops came out of course I was all over that guy. I had one in b/w and he was a BEAST. i just gave that guy acrobatics and he swept everything. hes so cool. i love his fluffy feathers and his goofy flying animation.

and tyrantrum is just cool as Fuck. its a dragon type t rex what more could you want. i like when pokemon look cool and this one is Very cool

honorable mentions to aurorus and the anorith line. love those guys <3 (also when are we gonna get a real spinosaurus pokemon. I’m Waiting.)

EASY. TOXTRICITY NO QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE TOXTRICITY ITS MY FAVORITE GEN 8 GUY!!!! ITS A PUNK ROCK ELECTRIC GUITAR POKEMON!!!!!!!! i had two in my sns playthrough one amped named bellamy and one lowkey named ampersand. i heard its in s/v too so im so psyched about that im gonna get one on my team >:) they’re just soooo cool theyre like creatures to me

Who are some underrated fan fiction authors you recommend? I wanna read more but more undiscovered people!

I feel this on a personal level! The biggest issue is I haven’t read a lot of new fic recently so I’m not the BEST person to come to, but I do have some friends I’m getting to know really well recently who I would definitely consider underated and largely undiscovered, as well as some favorites that I think people STILL don’t seem to know about, which is completely and utterly insane to me!

I just want to reiterate these are only the undiscovered people that I PERSONALLY have run into, some of whom may not be as undisocvered as others, but I still wanted to give a shoutout too. I haven’t been reading much in the phandom until recently as I was actually quite absent for about a year, so just keep that in mind, and remember that if you are not on this list, that does not meant that you do not deserve love, it just means me and others have not found you yet.

@imnotinclinedtomaturity who I have apparently read every fic from since 2016 but DIDN’T KNOW IT. She’s absolutely amazing at writing, honestly truly deep in my core I feel this. She’s also the person who helped me fall back into love with dnp as well so there’s that

@legdabs giiiiiiiiiiiiirl makes my heart ache! Her writing it super beautiful, aesthetic, poetic, all the like beautiful words you can think of. Her style is simple but she makes me FEEL THINGS and those things ARE GOOD THINGS. She holds so much power in her words

@rosaflagephil listen she’s written like 12 and a half soulmate au’s and don’t get enough attention for the effort she puts into their works. They make my heart hurt and are the center of fluff center okay?

@phanarchy totes good. I haven’t gotten to explore all of her things yet but I honestly do enjoy what I’ve read so far. She wrote an angsty smut fic the other day and let me tell you. My heart was hurting by the end of it, and I nearly cried.

@parentaladvisorybullshitcontent listen I’ve been following them for like a year, possibly more (im banking on it being two years but i could be wrong) on ao3 and tumblr and can i just tell you they always write like really fresh content? like things I am not expecting its so good. Also their writing style a++ i’d suggest the astronaut AU it’s one of my faves (are you popular already, idk, but not enough people talk about you and your writing so)

when I started shipping it if I did: a few months ago? not that long lmao but i think u were the one who got me into it.

my thoughts: theyre good and happy. theyre green and i love couples who wear the same and/or opposite colors. it actually makes sense mechanically bc genji + speed boost + aoe healing?? fast. strong. i wish they had in-game dialogue.

what makes me happy about them: theyre both! positive ppl! w positive outlooks on life!! and strong moral cores!! yes!! theyd work to make the world a better place and i dig that.

what makes me sad about them: (whispers) no voicelines

things done in fanfic that annoys me: theres rly... no fanfic for them. theres some cute fluffy stuff n thats good but i have yet to find more than one (1) slow-burn fic abt them.

things I look for in fanfic: theres... nothing... so i look for fanfic i guess.

who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: not mercy lmao

my happily ever after for them: after the Big Bad of ovws world is defeated they travel the globe together, w lucio sharing his music and genji helping others in the same way zenyatta helped him. genji comes to all of lucios concerts and does crazy acrobatics. its wild.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: i think theyd switch depending on how they were feeling. like if genjis feeling down lucio would give him some nice soft cuddles but sometimes genji just wants to hold his loving bf.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: frogs are lucios special interest and he wants to tell genji abt them. genji loves listening!

when I started shipping it if I did: back in 2015. i saw the pink/blue tall/small scheme and went “yes. yes this would be good.” it evolved from there.

my thoughts: mei n zarya have v different backgrounds but they ultimately want to do whats right. both of them are being heroes for the first time, and while zarya takes to it a lil more easily than mei does i feel like they would be able to relate to and support one another in that regard.

what makes me happy about them: theyre both women who excel in their field and would prolly share their passions with one another. i like the idea of them protecting each other in battle, too...

what makes me sad about them: i think both of them have a sense of survivors guilt. mei for being the only one who made it out of cryo-freeze, and zarya for focusing on her athletic career before her village was attacked. they both took up arms to protect the people they care abt, but i imagine mei feels like it wasnt fair she was the only one who survived, and maybe zarya feels like she should have acted sooner.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: theres not a lot of fic but the ones where mei is written as like... completely inept at romance bother me. shes 34?? shes a grown woman. let her date other women like an adult.

things I look for in fanfic: fluff... fluff... fluff? fluff.

who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: sym, pharah, tracer... zarmei is otp but i have a lot of other ships w them.

my happily ever after for them: zarya travels to various climate research centers around the world w mei during the weightlifting off-season. they climb mountains and collect data. then, when its competition time, mei cheers for her strong wife!!

who is the big spoon/little spoon: zarya is the little spoon i refuse to accept otherwise. it makes her blush and mei loves holding her (she warm).

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: putting on some upbeat music and working out together, flirting while they do it. mei is a mountain-climber. she totally lifts weights and does fitness training when shes not in the lab.
