a moment of joy in days of tired darkness!!!
#i complain way too much here so sharing my triumphs <3#(taking a page from songbird because i want to be more like her)#getting home from work today i was able to get ALL of my chores done!!!#i loooved having my friend stay with me for a week i truly needed the break and she’s such a blessing <3#(we bought ‘soul sisters’ matching bracelets - hers gold and mine silver - and the statement couldn’t be more true 🥹)#but in that i let my room get VERY messy#and i was busing working yesterday and didn’t have time (literally cried on my way home because of how tired i was)#so i made it a goal to do everything tonight so tomorrow (my one day off) i may relax!#so i was able to clean my room; do two loads of laundry; wash my bedding; vacuum; water my plants; and tidy my bathroom!!#it may not sound like much but it was a MESS#also i did my nails cause they broke :(#so now they are VERY short (had to cut them) and i painted a few coats of clear nail polish so hopefully they won’t break#i have to get gas and get my oil changed and exchange some icecream tomorrow morning#but then i’m just gonna relax!!!#would like to change my themes but we shall see. i want to watch tv and read mostly#also i’m gonna stop in and book a hair appointment for next week!!#that’s right i’m gonna chop off my hair#it’s been years and i didn’t get it trimmed as it was growing out so i have lots of split and dead ends#and if i have to get it cut i may as well just go all the way yknow#i love having short hair and i’m lowkey excited#and i work 6 days after that but thankfully i booked myself for opening shifts which leaves my evenings free to myself which i really love

today has almost managed to redeem this entire year-to-date holy shit
#we get TWO toby daye books this year and one of them is from Best Boy Tybalt's perspective#god i cant wait to get one-two punched in the feels by them#and an actual angel who was in line behind me bought my snacks after my card declined#(thanks SO much for telling me you turned that off for potential fraudulent charges bank. really. i love holding up the line when my card#doesnt work even though i literally got paid yesterday)#anyway she was lovely. came running out of the store while i was on hold and gave them to me and im still feeling all 🥹🥰 about it)#personal

sometimes you just gotta break out your own power tools and do something tangible and the world feels a tiny bit more manageable.
#okay power tool singular#i own one [1] cordless drill#but i just anchored two of our bookshelves to the walls yesterday and am angling to do another two today#this is part of the great horrible game of Rush Hour that is 'getting our apartment to the way we imagine it'#by we i mean i#since i have The Vision#i drew out the plans and my husband is on board 100% he just doesn't do that sort of visualising stuff ya see#but he's hauled boxes of books and horrible shelves from one room to the next for several hours already and we'll have to do it again#and i appreciate it so much#i finally have all the pieces to do ... almost all the shelves#i forgot one important piece that might require a field trip to our friends' basement#because one of the shelves will be sort-of-wall-mounted atop another shelf#and i don't want to overload the foundation shelf so i need to put reinforcing bars into the upper one#... and then drill THOSE into the wall.#and THEN i need to get some lumber and cut it down to size to set on the shelf arms i bought so we can have wall shelves#specifically in the gap forced by the air vent in the floor#don't wanna ruin household circulation#don't wanna lose precious wall space

oh THANK GOD
there are only three quests you can use for an infinite rings exploit and the way they work is that you get rings in the text before the reward screen, so if you close the app after getting the rings but before the reward screen, it resets that part of the quest. the first one (know your friends, i think it’s called?) needs your mc so you can’t really progress the main storyline, and the second needs ezra, like so:
he’s not required for any important quests until much later, but i’ve still got about 5 side quests sitting there that need him.
but the third one, do you know julian, DOESNT need any of the main characters. i forget if it needs any other classmates (i just know that i used it in my original game and it was sustainable), but ezra is FINALLY free!
#ok well not quite. i’ve gotta DO the quest first#but god what a relief. this is the PERMANENT ring exploit quest#the first two were just to tide me over until this one#hss#personal#oh that’s right the last req is ‘complete a party with julian’#now watch me get one of the questions wrong so i don’t get the reward#it also has infinite coins and books. all of them have coins but the ezra one doesn’t have books#so i’m starting to get low on them even after the hundreds of thousands i saved from the first quest#oh you have no idea how much of a relief this is i can finally relax#but things are picking up with hss:#i’ve decided i’m only gonna get one of each gender of classmate unless absolutely necessary (so far i’ve needed 3 jocks and that’s it)#and this week i finally got the skater girl i needed to progress the main quest#(with infinite rings i know i could just buy them but i’m committed to partying. rip ever getting a prom queen lmao)#i also unlocked kallie yesterday (and i understand why nobody ever talked about her. that took WAY TOO LONG)#(i bought pencils in my original game but the server’s shut down now. had to do it the slow way. it took MONTHS)#i feel like there’s something else i did that was significant…….#oh yeah just now (at the same time i unlocked this quest) i finished the party that officially gets me one of every classmate#of the types i can get that is. don’t have rebels yet rip#i should look up which classmate i’ll need two of next so i can start working on it#the rarer ones can take weeks (or months. but i don’t think i’ll need a homecoming/prom queen for a quest?)#sometimes i forget i played this game for YEARS and only got by with exploits (and lbr spending WAAAY too much real money on it)#(hwu was worse because you couldn’t exploit it)#but i never paid rings for classmates. i always partied#sometimes i rushed parties but i still did them#wait. hold on a second. i have phoebe. she’s a prom queen. it’s the prom KING i don’t have lmaoooo that’s easy#when i say i only get a boy and girl of each that doesn’t include main characters or vips so i’ll still eventually party for a prom queen#but yeah i do have one lmao
