hi! i would like to know your headcanons about shigaraki or an alternate universe hero tenko.

Ohhh that’s a fun one! Hmm, I’m going to keep some Tenko headcanons to myself for now for fic writin’ reasons, but here’s a few ones I have, mostly based off canon:

If Tenko ends the story with the All for One quirk and his body modifications, I can see him using his power to help people remove or swap quirks that are dangerous to themselves or others, because he can absorb post-singularity quirks in a way that nobody else on the planet can. Tenko doesn’t harbor any negative associations with quirklessness, but he does know what it feels like to have a scary quirk that is itching to get out of you. He also knows how AFO and Dr. Garaki stole, combined, and manipulated quirks into ever more terrifying powers, and there’s something poetic about him using the All for One quirk to de-escalate.

Like he thinks Eraserhead is cool, so if he can erase someone’s quirk, allowing them to hug a family member for the first time? Or safely play with the family pet? Yeah, super cool.

I don’t see canon Tenko wanting to be a fist-fighting hero given everything he’s been through, and his violence-begets-violence beliefs.

But AU hero Tenko would totally dream of being on the hero billboard charts as a kid. He’d model himself after All Might and be every bit the All Might fanboy just like Izuku and Katsuki (and Koichi!) AU hero Tenko doesn’t have the jaded views that Tomura has towards hero society, and no AFO influence to stoke his worst attitudes.

If AU hero Tenko knew his grandmother (and Torino) trained All Might, and they’re still alive, then he’d definitely want them to train him too! His father would still disapprove, but in more of a “I want my son to be a successful businessman like me” way. Kotaro just doesn’t understand the world of long-haired spandex-clad pro heroes. He’s the dad asking his 14yo “do you even understand how insurance premiums work?” rather than “tell me more about Best Jeanist’s new ultimate move.” Tenko learns to nerd out with Uncle Might on the hero stuff. (Or…does he grow up with Uncle Toshi and not realize Toshi is All Might???)

As he learns to control the size and speed of his decay waves and particles, Tenko can do things like create smokescreens, set perimeters for fire breaks, and quickly make sand walls to stop/slow flooding. He can also soften the ground like Mudman in class 1B. Eventually he learns to condense matter and manipulate different densities to create implosions that propel matter around. That gives him extra speed, some flight time, and projectile/ranged attacks without enormous Decay waves that disintegrate everything for kilometers in every direction.

Tenko would ace the UA entrance exam by just decaying all the robots.

Tenko would embrace his classmates who weren’t sure of their powers/capabilities, and he’d encourage them to keep following their dreams. He knows there’s no one way to be a hero. He begins to doubt things like the hero billboard awards in his teens but he always believes in the power of people to make a difference in their community when they get to express who they are and pursue what they love. That’s his idea of a peaceful world.

-Shigaraki: You've got to give him some time to think about it. He's also really protective over his kid but still relaxed at the same time. Where Dabi didn't give a warning speech to Mustard and is waiting for the kid to slip up, Tomura will give the speech. It would probably be the most menacing thing that Mustard has heard in a very long time. Seriously, that boy usually doesn't feel scared of anyone but Shigaraki is a different story. His daughter probably felt like Mustard didn't like her very much after their first date. When Tomura asks why, she just replies "He was really distant with me and he treated me like I was glass, like I would break if he got too close." Tomura just smiles to himself.

-Overhaul: What date? What do you mean date? Boyfriend? Oh no, none of that. His kid is the most sheltered of all. There's going to be a lot of rebellion and a lot of arguments in his house. His poor daughter is barely allowed to have male friends to begin with. What makes you think Kai is going to approve of a whole ass boyfriend. Not only that, but the boyfriend is someone like Mustard too? Oh hell no. I doubt any of that will go well in the long run. Eventually he does give up...years down the damn line when his daughter is an adult and Muscular proposes to her. He reluctantly gives his blessing but in his eyes that's still his little baby girl and nothing will change that.

-Chronostasis: Fuck it why not? As long as the two kids are in love then what does he have to say about anything right? He's really chill. He's even went and compared his guns to Mustards as well. The two seem to get along and Mustard knows not to cross any boundaries to fuck up his relationship with his future father in law. Hari is the best dad, always knowing just when to put his foot down and when to let things roll. 10/10 dad score.

-(and I've decided to add Compress): Says he's okay with it but he really isn't. He's rather embarrassing, even going out of his way to follow his daughter and Mustard on dates while dressed in disguise. Headcanons for Shigaraki

Ok so now that I posted about my ideas that he can recombine matter, its time for some headcanons!!!! (also I'm definitely not caught up on the anime and can barely remember any of it I did watch)

~childhood trauma~ obviously, but I think he doesn't even know how bad it is.

He can't remember a lot of stuff, big memory gaps starting from his childhood all the way up to a couple years ago. When he's asked about stuff he doesn't remember he'll lie and fake his way through the best he can or just say that the conversation is stupid and leave

social skills are basically non existent, can't hold a boring conversation to save his life but will talk for 3 hours about the current video game he's obsessed with.

Loves video games, would willingly burn the world to live in one, may slightly believe reality is a video game. He really likes the way he can control everything and knows that if something bad happens there are no consequences, also likes that he can control a lot of what happens.

Has no morals or values, really. Kurogiri's list of rules taped to the fridge is the only thing guiding him. But then again, he hasn't really had the best role models to follow and he tends to like a lot of the video games that involve some sort of crime, since "they always have a bigger point and deeper meaning"

But also confused by the laws and no ones ever explained to him why he has to follow them so he doesn't

Likes consistency but has never really had that so he's adapted to expect and crave inconsistency. Gets agitated when things get too steady because he's subconsciously worried about when it will end so he would rather be the one to do it than wait for some else.

most of his anger is from fear, and if he ever finds a place that lets him stop for a few minutes and be safe, he would likely just breakdown for like forty years from all the stress he feels.

unpopular opinion: All Might telling him he couldn’t be a hero would NOT have made him turn to the villain’s side. I reread that scene before I started writing my fic, and not only does All Might outline all his reasons for saying “no” before he actually says no, but the horror on Izuku’s face says that he got the message. once he’s down from the building we even get a scene with introspection where Izuku resolves himself to living a normal life, and we all know how strong the boy’s resolve is! He deadass probably would have wound up as CEO of some company.

I think this fandom needs more villainous Christmas content, and also we really need some light Villain content right now; so since the PLF were formed and Shigaraki was still with them for last Christmas, here’s what I headcanon Shigaraki & the lieutenants got each other during their tense first few days after the merger.

Shigaraki

He get everyone video games. And also personal consoles for each and every one of them. Now Hero Aca is 200 years in the future, but I’m gonna list specific games & series anyway and just say if it still exists, it’s the latest game from that series, if not, it’s something similar to that series. With that said, here’s what he got everyone.

Dabi: Doom

Toga: Assassins’ Creed

Reminiscent of her pre-quirk Christmases, she decided to make homemade gifts for everyone using whatever she had available. Which was a lot, actually, since she was not afraid to spend Redestro’s money on supplies. In fact she went out of her way to get the most expensive supplies available at every opportunity.

Shigaraki: A grim miniature carnival ground where action figures of All Might & other pros are tortured and mutilated.

Dabi: a miniature statue of him made out of platinum and then crudely painted.

Spinner: An origami model of Stain with a vast arsenal of origami swords.

Twice: a Hand-knitted toque just a bit to big for his head.

Mr. Compress: A collection of new masks in fancy paints.

Geten: A mountaineering pick-ax with a handle in his color scheme.

Skeptic: Just a piece of paper saying “I know about the neck snapping. I look forward to working with you.”

Trumpet: A Trumpet.

Redestro: A bust of his head made of solid gold and smiling his to-wide fake-y smile.

Attitude after merger review: Also docking points for a dig at a former adversary, and what’s worse is it wasn’t even in the form of a proper present. Also losing points for going out or your way to spend Redestro’s money, which granted, everyone else was doing too, but you were a bit upfront with it. Employ more subtlety next time!

Spinner

Spinner also got everyone video games like Shigaraki did; however he looked into indie games. Gotta support the little guys, y’know? That said, indie games 200 years in the future are nearly equivalent to AAA games now in all the ways that matter, so there’s not too much of a difference except it’s all spiritual successors, no franchises. Huge selection though, and there’s successors to everything so Spinner’s set.

Shigaraki: A bottle of Kurogiri’s favorite wine.

Dabi: A quality pack of cigarettes.

Toga: Hairclips with characters from an anime she liked growing up.

Spinner: One of the spinning whetstone things for sharpening blades.

Mr. Compress: A new hat.

Geten: a pair of mittens.

Skeptic: Several Spools or wire + a pair of wire cutters.

Trumpet: A maintenance kit for trumpets.

Redestro: A $1000 donation to a quirkless rights movement in his name. (Can you tell he’s still mad about Giran?)

Attitude after merger review: Once more, major marks docked for taking a dig at an enemy-turned-ally that you can hardly even pretend is a proper gift. Once again; if you can’t do anything nice, be more sublet when acting mean.

Mr. Compress

He frankly wanted to see if he could get anyone into his hobbies, or at least get them something to remind them of him, so he robbed a magic store for magic trick-based toys & performance tools.

Shigaraki: One of those things where you saw your assistant in half (complete with saw).

Dabi: Those weird orb things that slid around your hand.

Toga: One of those boxes you have your assistant stand in and then stab them (complete with knives).

Spinner: Fancy deck of cards

Twice: Yo-yo collection.

Geten: Hula hoop

Skeptic: Semi-transparent Mirror

Trumpet: Bracelet things where you put one inside the other.

Redestro: Fog Machine

Attitude after merger review: Nearly full marks, but it is rather noticeable how League members got, on average, much larger presents than the MLA alumni. Still, the plausible deniability is worth something here.

Geten

He just went to a store to get whatever he could find. He did not try very hard for the League. Or Skeptic & Trumpet for that matter.

Shigaraki: Santa hat

Not really knowing enough about any of these guys enough to really think about what they want, but still wanting to show off; he hacked into the personal bank accounts of several heroes & famous figures and, using each one, got a ¥ 1 million gift card from this store franchise that doesn’t allow any kind of refunds. Here are the corresponding accounts used to make each person’s gift (he did at least put thought into who each recipient might like to rob).

Dabi: A temperature-controlled water bottle

Toga: A big make-up kit

Spinner: A nice suit

Twice: An Ipod.

Mr. Compress: A nice suitcase.

Geten: A mini-fridge.

Skeptic: A new laptop.

Redestro: A new phone.

Attitude after merger review: Full marks, I suppose, if only because he equally half-arsed it for everyone. Not even out of malice either, he just didn’t try all that hard for anyone.

Redestro

The richest of the lot: he also just got everyone some piece of technology/luxury rich person thing, with the difference that his presents were really big & expensive. He was rather invested in endearing himself to the new team.

Shigaraki: A kind of really big yacht, one with windows around the deck to keep people from seeing him. Imagine a cross between a yacht & a limo, actually.

Dabi: A stupidly big TV with like 10 different streaming services pre-paid on it.

Toga: A self-driving car.

Spinner: One of those 4-wheeled dirt bikes

Twice: His very own mountain lodge.

Mr. Compress: His very own hot tub.

Geten: His own private jet, complete with a walk-in freezer installed in the back.

Skeptic: A warehouse & collection of those big data storage units; enough to back-up all the data his company had ever collected.

Trumpet: A new van

Attitude after merger review: Full marks and well earned; because even if they weren’t always the most personalized, they were too high quality for it to matter. And for once the expense wasn’t a mark against him because he was spending his own money!

Final review: Toga got everyone the best gifts, with Twice taking 2nd place, because theirs were both thoughtful and unique. Even the non-gift to Skeptic & Redestro couldn't bring them below anyone else’s score. Everyone else sucks at this. 3rd place goes to Redestro though, because “money can’t by happiness” is a phrase that doesn’t apply to poor people.

1A class:

⥅ Deku: I feel like Izuku would try to walk on heels, but when he would he would either break the heels or one of his bones.

⥅ Uraraka: She would be a very slow walker when it would come to heels. She wouldn’t be able to walk very fast because she isn’t very used to them. I do feel like she would wear those small heel heels (if that make sense).

⥅ Bakugou: I just KNOW that he’s SO good in heels. He can dance, fight, train and do anything with them.

⥅ Todoroki: He can stand in them like a statue but that’s it. When he walks, he looks like a broken robot trying to move his legs, he isn’t relaxed, he has no elegance in the way he walks and it’s just horrible. But hey, he will then ask how to walk in them and try to walk in them again.

⥅ Iida: He would fall a lot and try to use his hands to stop the falling. He would try to talk to the heels to just stop making him fall and stumble over.

⥅ Kirishima: He wouldn’t fall, but he would definitely stumble over on air and catch himself by holding onto the wall or anything in general. He wouldn’t be able to last 20 seconds without stumbling over something.

⥅ Denki: He would try to be goofy and walk like a model but fail miserably and end up breaking the heel on one of the pair. He would also try to dance but would suck at it and look like a duck trying to shake his booty.

⥅ Sero: I have this headcanon of him just taping a chair and sitting down on it with heels on while singing the song “Chandelier” from Sia. Denki would probably record all of it too.

⥅ Mina: She walks perfectly! She’s our queen that is amazing at anything she does.

⥅ Tsuyu: I think she would be very uncomfortable in walking in them. She isn’t used to wearing something like that on her legs, because of her quirk. She would mostly just sit on the floor and stare at the heels.

⥅ Hagakure: I think she would be good, we can’t see her, but she’s good.

⥅ Jirou: I feel like she is more of “be comfortable” than stylish, so I think she wouldn’t be very good in walking in them. In fact, she would be almost like Todoroki. Very stiff and doesn’t know how to move.

⥅ Aoyama: He looks like those runway models in heels. He will absolutely SLAY in them. He will pose, dance, flex and so on. Some of us should really take some classes from him.

⥅ Ojiro: I feel like he wouldn’t be able to walk in heels and just fall when he tries to stand up, so I think he would just lay on the floor with them on like “what am I doing with my life?”

⥅ Koda: Him? In heels? Nah, he rather talk to animals and be outside. His first question when he sees heels would be “what is that”.

⥅ Sato: He would try to walk in a straight line and succeed. He would be surprisingly amazing at it even if it was his first time.

⥅ Shoji: Kakashi 2.0 wouldn’t even put them on. He would be scared of them, like they’re some kind of creature’s that can hurt him.

⥅ Tokoyami: He would put them on and walk in a straight line like it was nothing. He would notice how people are looking at him and be like “was that supposed to be hard?”

⥅ Momo: She would stumble then and there, but other than that she would be really good in walking in them. Literally walking in her louis Vuitton heels and money just falling out of her bag.

⥅ Mineta: He wouldn’t wear the heels; he would smell them. He would want to know if there were hot girls walking in them.

The big three:

⥅ Mirio: He would suck at walking in heels, but laugh whenever he would fall and say that it’s a first time for everything.

⥅ Tamaki: He would look down from the anxiety and embarrassment he would be receiving. He would also stumble quite a bit and fall a couple times.

⥅ Nejire: She’s just like Mina, she can do ANYTHING in heels. She likes wearing heels a lot, and thinks that they’re comfortable.

Pro heroes (some):

⥅ All Might: Yeah no, he can’t walk in heels for the life of his. He can’t even stand without him just falling in some way and waving his hands around for help.

⥅ Eraserhead: He tries to use his quirk by thinking that it’s going to help in some way. He will swear any time he falls or stumbles over too.

⥅ Endeavor: SHOTOOOOOOOOO- Yeah but if seriously, he is like this big, brick wall that can’t move his legs. He can’t even move his head because he would just fall.

⥅ Hawks: BRUH HE’S SO GOOD LIKE JDEFJKSDBVJK. He will literally go out and do his hero work in heels if you just ask him to, and he will have no problem with it. He will randomly put on heels and dance in his room at 3am if he feels like it too.

⥅ Miruko (Mirko): I feel like she would be a bit uncomfortable by them, but she would get the hang of it over time and start to like them. She wouldn’t see the point in wearing them on a normal day though.

⥅ Midnight: She is a GODESS at walking in heels. Like an angel that just came from heaven herself.

⥅ Mt. Lady: Same like Midnight. She walk’s amazingly and I'm jealous.

⥅ Fatgum: He tries to walk like a hero would, and he’s good at it until he comes half way. At the start he walk’s well, doesn’t fall, doesn’t trip. But when he gets a bit too confident in himself, he will fall.

Villains (some):

⥅ Shigaraki: He will make Dabi hold him if he falls too much. Shiggy will not be able to walk nor stand in one place. He will probably just fall and die.

Dabi: OKAY BUT- I JUST HAVE THIS FEELING OF HIM SLAYING IN HEELS. Like he would walk better than the girls and pro hero women 😀✋

Overhaul: He will be SO bad at walking in them. He will literally hold into a chair or desk and not let them go when he’s standing in heels.(idk how he gon hold on to anything with that arm situation of his, but let’s just imagine his arms are still okay-) Will also probably ask someone to burn them, or he will burn the heels himself.

Toga: Fuck heels- She HATES heels. She can’t stand them- Just one look on those devilish shoes and she will literally freak out.

Kurogiri: He wears shoes? WAIT WHA- Omg he wears shoes and I didn’t even notice... Anyways, he will wear them if Shigaraki says for him to wear them. He would still suck tho.

Stain: He just refuses to wear them. You can’t make him, unless you kill Endeavor or All Might.

Twice: The one second, he walks like a king, the other he is laying on the floor and crying-

Kurono: “What are heels...?” Boy- He will wear them if Chisaki makes him (Overhaul). He will also suck at it but wear them when he has alone time and train so he hits the goal of walking perfectly on them.

Mr. Compress: He LOVES heels in secret. So, when somebody asked him to try them on and walk in them, he knew his time has come.

(Side note! Are you good on heels? I know I bought a pair recently and boy, do I look fabulous- I do need more experience but I think I’m good at walking in them.)

Gods it’s been literal MONTHS and this is my second ever ask ;-; But yESS HERE WE GO-

Dabi

Not really a romantic type, but fuck can he make a sexy magharita.

To be honest, this wasn’t his idea, he never liked the thought of marriage or pretty much anything so lovey dovey, but you wanted to do something since you guys had been together for about 7 years now?

So he might’ve scared away the owner of an airbnb, accomodations free!

Has a pool. Dabi won’t go in, but he’ll dip his legs in and watch you try to flick your hair like the hollywood models do.

… And laugh as you fail miserably.

Expect some drunk love making ;)))))))) Slow, but rough, always full of passion and love.

This may be a honeymoon, but don’t expect him to stay bound at the bnb. He’ll definitely drag you along to possibly vandalise endeavour’s garden statues in the middle of the night.

“You wanna chill? Beat me in a shot contest.”

Y’all gone be wasted and hungover by the end of this, but right now? Lord have mercy on your liver.

Somehow, you manage to win by a literal sip as he collapses onto the couch. You’re swaying and oops there you go- Also on the couch.

Okay, so that was a fucking horrible idea.

Your breath could literally fuel an engine.

But it doesn’t stop Dabi bringing you into a tipsy sweet kiss.

“I love you, Y/n”

He would never, in a million years, say that so blatantly and out in the open, but with the alcohol turning his brain to mush, it was hard to save his pride whilst remembering what it even was.

You appreciated it though.

Which then proceeds to him vomiting on the floor and the romantic mood disappearing as soon as it came.

By the way, did I mention the rest of the LoV was there, stalking and taking photos for a scrapbook gift but at Dabi puking, Jin yelled, “C’mon man!” and… well… yeah.

You’re both usually busy.

And you’re both not the sweet honey love types.

So naturally, Tomura doesn’t care much about the honeymoon.

Not that he doesn’t care, but he just kinda wanted to introduce your noob ass to animal crossing or kingdom hearts, a honeymoon didn’t really need to happen in his opinion.

But you still wanted it, so you combat this with a compromise.

A gaming honeymoon.

You made a list of all the internet cafes, arcades and gaming alleys in Tokyo, coming up with an extensive list, despite your lack of experience in gaming.

Normally, Tomura doesn’t like going out into public, but you were desperate to have at least somewhat proper private time with him since you haven’t had a proper going out date… literally ever.

Plus, games.

Hoodie, facemask and gloves on, you set off on your conquest.

Thing was, Tomura was fucking talented.

Every. Single. Game. You lost.

He could somehow even beat you on the DDR machine, the only thing you were actually confident you could beat him in.

The honeymoon began to grow into a competition, but try as you might, you couldn’t beat him.

You were just about to give up hope when he began to slip up in pacman.

It was probably his glove. It made it hard to move the joysticks, making you giggle in mad glee as you won.

Even with the deranged hyena laugh escaping your lips as you celebrate your victory, Tomura’s lips curl albeit beneath his mask.

Then gets surprised as you slap him.

“I know you weren’t playing properly - I PLAY FAIR AND SQUARe!-”

As you place another token into the coin slot, you feel him staring at him. You glare at him.

“What.”

“...Noob.”

“FUCKING SHUT IT-”

“...my cute noob.”

Also don’t mind Kurogiri being a proud ass father, taking photos and trying his best to gush over the two of you like a numbwad.

And also Toga being your bratty little sister ruining every moment by suddenly popping up-

Hawks

Fuck, okay, so he rich rich.

He got that moolah.

That cash money.

That gud kush.

That cold hard dough.

That hot steamy bread.

… Yet for some reason, y’all staying at a motel.

Honestly? You were just happy that he was alright to do something, he was always preoccupied or just not interested, so when he said you guys were going on a honeymoon, your heart leaped.

It leaped… And almost died from the fall impact.

But you tolerated it, as you knew he had his reasons and also it would probably get better.

… it didn’t.

No matter where you went, cameras followed the both of you non-stop, never giving you privacy.

Girls would keep butting in and asking for signatures or photos. You weren’t generally miffed on whatever stunts they pulled, but this was supposed to be special. Nonetheless, you let it slide.

Then, this last thing happened.

So you guys decided to go to town, embracing the cameras and girls, going to an amusement park.

It had actually been pretty fun!

You guys were about to have a fun moment on a ride-

And you both hear a call for help.

A girl was falling from the ferris wheel.

Keigo used his feathers to try and get her down, but she began to flail, so he went up there himself to go save the girl.

Only to find that she had been faking it using her quirk so she could get up close and personal.

That was the last straw.

You keep yourself calm enough, your simmering anger turning into a gloomy sadness.

Hawks noticed this as you arrived back at the motel, as you were surprisingly silent.

So he grabbed your arm.

“Wha-!”

“C’mon!”

Rising into the air with you cradled in his arms bridal style, just like your first date.

He flies and flies until you come to his favourite spot in the whole city, a simple but one of the highest rooftops. He places you gently on the edge, holding your hands.

“... You love me, right?”

Before you could answer, he pulls you off the edge letting you fall.

This has happened so many times, how in fuck did you not see this coming.

That fact didn’t stop your screams though.

Just as the floor was about to embrace you and the world was spinning faster than the adrenaline that was rushing through your veins, you feel arms grabbing you and your body soaring back into the blue sky.

Everything slowed down, your heart stopped in its tracks and you began to breathe normally again.

“Better?”

Through a smile and giggles, you reply, “No, you fucking ass!”

He frowns.

“Should I drop you again?”

“NO!”

Even though it wasn’t what you would’ve wanted, the honeymoon was the best time of your life.

I made Hawks’ one a little longer mainly because hecc this idea of honeymoon being ruined by paparazzis just decided to pop up. Anyway! I hope this is good! Remember! Requests are open!

i’m pretty flexible for like every other ship!! I can toy with anything, dabishiga, endhawks (granted, in more of a pity-fuck kind of way but i see hawks as exploring his options and getting whimsically lost while simultaneously detached with other people… until he finds a certain someone… and something…just…clicks………….cOUGHtodorokitouyaCOugH)

i really like kirabaku! wholesome! pure! loving! but i also think bakudeku be bringing in that passion and angst that i love so much too. and i love the fact that they have a lot of history together too.

erasermic destroys me, i love seeing work of them! Their history and humor and general companionship makes a great foundation imo

you can probs tell i’m mostly into the gay ships. the female characters are kinda lackluster for me in tbh. i don’t really feel horikoshi handles marginalized identities well. SPOILER: (do NOT get me started on magne…………hori really bout to catch these hands for that shit he pulled) Toga is an exception, probably because she’s a villain and that inherently adds a dimension to explore because all of the League is morally grey and rooted in their marginalization, but I still think she needs to be stuffed with headcanons too. I do like todomomo though! (i also ship momo with jirou too though lol)

There’s probably others that I’m not thinking of, I like that there’s a lot of potential chemistry between the characters in general. And I have so much love for Shigaraki too! I can see myself writing for him down the line, but I think I need a more finite image of his character. I’m seeing a lot of influences in what models his personality and overall characterization, but I still feel my lens for him is a bit blurry. Also omg todoroki rei!!!!!!!! She has like no fucking screentime and she’s really just used as a prop for shouto and endeavor, which I fucking hate but what little we do know about her really hits so close to home for me. (Political marriages, domestic abuse, and women getting locked up on the basis of insanity is just.....I know it too well. I might end up doing work about her too.)

I’m a big fan of the series overall! Especially the villains! It really has so much going for it, even beyond all the ships to play with. I’m so happy to have received this ask! Finding the UA traitor - Part 3 | The shiniest of the shiny

Yes, you guessed it, it's about Aoyama Yuuga this time.

Some poeple think he's a bait, some think that the cheese thing proves him innocent. And I'm telleing but what if...?

I'll try to avoid any manga spoilers, but I will mention one or two chapters. Nothing specific though, so if you're anime only watcher, no worries!

Also, check out part 1 of my theory, or you might not understand what will I be talking about, cause it's like a base for every other part. Anyway, let's get started!

Brave guy or a coward?

During the summer camp, we barely see Aoyama do anything, but he played an important role actually. He was the one who saved Tokoyami. Also took knocked out Hagakure and Jirou away from the gas, but on his way to a safe place, he accidentially found Twice and Dabi, so he hid himself and girls in the bush, hoping to remain unfound. He was fidgeting in fear, so if he's not innocent, he wouldn't work with Shigaraki. Or Tomura didn't bother to tell first strike team about him, but then again, how would Aoyama know that?

Later, when saving Tokoyami, he barely does anything more than minimum, like trying to shoot again and save Bakugou, too. If you think about it, his face is not expression of only internal conflict, but... That would mean, that he knows his actions may cause him problems, so he does minimum hoping it would be enough or choses not to save Bakugou on purpose, so he wouldn't ruin Tomura's plan completely.

Actually, there's very little against him in his actions BUT there's a lot of foreshadowing done that suggests something more.

So what about motivation?

Before I get to this main part of theory, I want to look at something. Aoyama's hungry for attention, while also he's a coward isolating himself. He don't have any close friends and is desperate to have one. He has in fact low self-esteem. He has some unknowed issues with his parents. And it's sad, but... when I tried to identify with him, I came to conclusion that he might be depressed. His actions may seem like they prove it wrong, but actual reasons behind them do not.

Back on line, Horikoshi said that he has some bigger plans about him and I think I get what he means. We got some more of Aoyama in the manga and it looks like his arc is coming.

Just like Yaoyorozu, when it comes to Bakugou rescue mission, he stays quiet because of category 2. We already saw him selfless and hopeless during the licence exam and even if it may seem like he's weak and just because of it surrenders, he shows what's in his head for that one second.

If he chosed to not save Bakugou, it is one more reason for him to do it. He cared more about saving talented, ambitious classmate than avoiding potential punishment.

You see, Horikoshi said that because there is so so much depth in this character. But that's not the end.

Remember that short flashback to when Aoyama was a kid, visibly upset and calling for his parent? Why would a side character like him get one along with the main ones near the beginning of the story?

(be aware of tiny miny manga spoiler in this paragraph) And the reason behind befriending Deku. Aoyama's quirk does not suit his body and he knows that. That's probably why he turned his attention to Izuku. And think about it for a while - two friends with the similiar problem, one being All Might's heir, the other one servant of All for One. Imagine the impact.

Back on line, why does Aoyama want to become a hero if his quirk doesn't really allow him to? If he just wanted attention, he could aspire to be an actor or a model and go to the normal high school, and attend some theatre club. But no. He goes to UA. With that flashback showed as it is his motivation.

Just think about it, if AFO had a chance to get a spy into UA and then hero community, he would without doubt do it. Even if it would mean the child will be hurt by the quirk he posseses. He was raised and forced to play this role and that's also why he's depressed.

Pros and cons

Great foreshadowing is already done

It suits what the next arcs will probably be about

Tragic story making a huge impact

Matches Horikoshi's words for 'bigger plans on him'

Flashback near beginning of the school year

Readers might not like him enough to feel betrayer by him

Maybe he did minimum during summer camp just because plot needed it

For now, it looks like the traitor reveal is coming, along with Aoyama's arc. It would be just so much great if he was the traitor. Almost infinite potential. That's why the Aoyama traitor theory is my favourite. I'm in love with this idea.

I mean, the vigilante series). Anyway, part 4 coming this weekend!
