disorganized thoughts on fionna and cake eps 5 and 6

(Spoilers!!)

ok ive only seen the eps once each and im going off of memory so a lot of this is probably gonna be paraphrased and mixed up but whatever . also this post is really fucking long lol sorry

-OK FIRST OFF THESE WERE SO GOOD RAAAAAH

-obviously we are in the farmworld, not surprised but very happy!!!

-also not very surprised fionna and cake immediately went along with simon’s plan

-the whole time they were talking about where to find a crown i was like lol. simon don’t look behind you

-cake bringing fionna a dead rat was really funny

-the versucci gag or whatever was also really good

-but what made me die was fionna talking abt how she’s played a lot of post apocalyptic rpgs and then it pans over to “man who has actually lived through the apocalypse”

-was really cool to see how the farmworld has developed after what happened with ice finn, i think it’s interesting how they’re more technologically advanced since the first time an ice age happened in this world they pretty much reverted to medieval times (does that make sense. you know what i mean)

-i was SO convinced jay was farmworld finn’s little sibling so when he said dad my heart stopped

-the name jay didn’t immediately click until bonnie was revealed to be one of his other kid’s name and i was like HOLY SHIT PUHOY???

-veeeery interesting since assumingely golb destroyed/erased the pillow world

-i guess you could just chalk it up to finn would have named his kids the same thing in any universe?

-but i mean speaking of his kids GOD he got busy with huntress wizard

-i mean it has to be huntress wizard. one of them looks just like human hunter wizard

-sucks that she died though

-simon’s ship of theseus thing was so fucking funny oh my god he’s just like me fr (i started talking about the ship of theseus in one of my assignments a few days ago and i was like. is this too nerdy.)

-i haven’t really talked about farmworld finn yet. a little sad he turned out so cold (pun not intended oops 😭) because of what happened to him when he was younger

-good on him for saying simon was a damn fool or whatever for wanting to put the crown on lol

-i wish they actually had a talk though

-cake saying fionna should kiss him while knowing he’s just an alternate version of her??????? girl

-also farmworld jake still being alive was crazy

-so it did turn out the crown was destroyed in this world, i honestly wasn’t sure since the crown from the main world survived direct contact with a comet lol

-the romeo and juliet style romance going on between finn’s kid and big destiny’s kid was really good

-finn showing up with bartram lmao!!!!!

-dude i love bartram, the bit in finn the human where finn’s mom says that they have to sell the mule and then bartram’s head peaks out from the bed in the corner is unironically one of my favorite jokes in adventure time

-i kinda forgot what happens between here and the end

-so did farmworld finn fucking die????

-idk what happened there i sure hope not

-i really don’t know if we’re going to revisit these worlds in any capacity considering the amount of time left but i hope we do now!! i feel like we need to see what happens lmao

-now for ep 6

-wasn’t really expecting it to open on “fionna world” as they started calling it

-i was wondering how they were gonna balance gumball and marshall yaoi with what’s going on with the main trio

-they did it really well though i think

-i also wasn’t really expecting to be introduced to winter king right away once we got back to the main plot

-he definitely gave me weird vibes right from the start im gonna be honest lol

-blaah i don’t really remember what happens between that and the winter wonder world sequence

-so ill just talk about that. holy fuck

-every review i read before the show came out was really hyping this scene up and i get why now

-was really cool to see the beyond the grotto animation again and the song was so good it’s still stuck in my head

-but the moment the winter king said he overcame the crown with sheer will i was like. um. im calling bs

-i was just thinking however it did happen though i have a bad feeling about! felt really bad for simon and when he said that he sucked i was like. oh no ☹️ dude

-the moment i saw little ice marcy pretty much cemented it for me i was like oh no something fucked up is happening here. tbh i still can’t really figure out what happened with that but given what the winter king said about making an ice betty. uhhhhhhhhhh

-OH YEAH cake once again saying simon and the winter king should kiss . GIRL WHAT ARE YOU ON

-i looooved crazy pb

-i remember when people were saying she was a marcy pb child lmao.

-simon saying that he wanted to “fix her” while the winter king just wanted to kill her was really interesting. im trying to figure out what it means lol. like we know that simon wants to be the ice king again but also now knowing he would want to fix and save someone from that madness…idk

-her song was really good

-her playing those ominous notes on her keyboard made me laugh

-i haven’t really talked about gumball (im not calling him gary im sorry) and marshall. i thought they were really cute!!! could definitely see marcy and pb meeting in a similar way

-the juxtaposition between gumball talking about his creations to fionna fighting the fucked up versions of them was really cool

-i hope gumball doesn’t take what the lemoncarbs said to heart . they’re just like that

-ok so. I was honestly more shocked that fionna kissed (a version of) simon than him disintegrating seconds after lmaooooo

-i have to wonder why he immediately died here when in betty (the episode) he was dying relatively slowly without the crown’s magic

-ive been writing down a bunch of crack theories and the first thing ive gotten right was the winter king transferring his craziness to pb lol lets goooo

-i was thinking that simon might’ve transferred it himself but then i was like nooo he wouldn’t do that….apparently he would do that

-idk despite how he seemed i think the winter king was still a little insane in the membrane.

-maybe the crown was still influencing him in some way? and that’s the message here? idk

-i can’t believe bi fionna is real

-back to gumball and marshall. gumball describing slumber party panic……oh my jod 🥺🥺🥺

-the baby world was so cute

-“and i’ll be cursed the right way” simon do you fucking hear yourself

i don't know if you had read this, but one of aidairo's oneshots – money, maidens, love and innocence – had featured akane alongside with two other characters that didn't appear in the main story, hatori kyou and shigiraki chitose. and, honestly, this trio was fucking hilarious so i was wondering on what kind of shenanigans or ideas you had for them considering that hatori was in the student council and shigiraki being obsessed with him, while akane is just there adding stress to hatori workload.

I HAVE READ IT ACTUALLY !! quickly reread though it to make sure all the insane words that come out of my words are correct

i love their trio actually.. in the actual manga akane only has like three friends, so it's nice to see him actually talk with other people yknow? like hes so lonely Damn finally

i feel like akane would 100% add fire to the fire.. he'd give shigiraki suggestions just to see what goes down. hatori tells him not to involve himself or encourage her because it'll only make things worse but nahh it's honestly too late for that akane is having fun with watching everything unravel

hatori and akane are also pretty good friends! while shigiraki stares them down intently, they do their student council work while talking together. they hang out outside of school n all, genuinely get along.. shocking for akane! he learns a little more about cactuses because of their convos

shigiraki and akane become friends after like akane's 57th suggestion.. she thinks they're genuinely helpful while he thinks it's just funny the whole time

my policeman thoughts!! under cut bc idk how long it will be. not that long though i think.

general thoughts:

-my fav characters were patrick and julia, though obvi marion remains my fav just looking at it from the movie-standpoint

-it took me some time t get out my own head analyzing the main trio and asking myself if i thought they were doing well, etc but after abt 30 minutes i was able to ease into the story. kinda same as dwd but i think dwd took less time (possibly cus i was also in a dark theater w no ability to pause and consider anything)

-the pacing felt off to me i know i complained abt the movie length but i wish things had been given more time. i get what they were doing w marion and patrick’s perspectives but i dont think it was as effective and didnt translate from the book for me

-book was better, of course

-movie did not have enough julia!!! far from it. i want endless julia

-marion was done so dirty tbh the hints at her not being straight were almost completely gone (julia was obvious, but i feel like in the book marion is also clearly read as not straight)

-i love marion and patrick being parallels to each other. not just in regards to tom, but how they’re more often allies than not. how julia points out their similar interests. in my head marion looks at patrick, sees these parallels, and wonders what else they have in common.

-even having been done dirty marion is The Most Interesting character in the movie. so many scenes it was clear there was an internal struggle going on, which im reading as her quest for heterosexuality, fighting to maintain her marriage, questioning of herself, her relationship to julia and patrick, etc. adored her.

-i did not cry. soz to everyone who did but twas not that emotion-evoking to me.

harry acting:

-fairly good i think!! awkward at parts, but for the most part it didnt distract me. again like dwd i found him best in very emotive scenes like anger, sadness, internal conflict, etc and least effective in routine or sincere scenes (like when he’s just having a conversation, or standing around, etc)

-i know ppl had words abt his accent but tbh i dont have the kind of ear for accents or to say if harry was doing well or not, or if he was talking more in his natural accent or an altered one so. it wasnt an issue for me. sometimes i thought he sounded weird but i actually think im just not used to him enunciating so much.

how i would make it shorter bc why in the hell was it 2 hours:

-sorry to the older versions of tom/marion/patrick, but Were It My Movie, i would have just eliminated the whole past vs present, retrospective aspect. i dont feel like its as effective in movie format, whereas the whole concept of letters telling their stories in the book works for me. i dont think the later scenes added much 2 the movie and if anything opened up more confusion for me.

-for example, when older tom sees nigel and (presumably) his boyfriend in the shop, is that meant to be like....his first time seeing a gay couple existing openly? after like 40 years from the younger story line? what?>??

-in the last 20 minutes where older marion is like. Explaining everything? bad ending. could have done w/o that. marion leaving to her sister’s>?? bad, try again. when its younger tom standing w older patrick so its like. a mirage idk?? Bad. hated that pls take it back.

-just cut the last 15 minutes. honestly.

ok genuinely toilet-bound hanako-kun / jibaku shounen hanako-kun has awoken in me smthing I haven’t felt in a While (which is mb just bc I’ve really been cracking down on my work lately. lol)

but oh man like. i kind of always knew this abt myself but this series has really helped me out into words like… one of my favorite character dynamics ever (I’m gonna talk abt manga bc that’s usually where I operate) is when side characters are friends with each other. or like some kind of intense relationship with each other. so often i think it’s very easy to like, downplay these relationships characters have with each other because a main character often gets so much focus, so like everything’s got to be connected to them, but like I feel like when side characters have deep relationships with each other it makes the story more interesting yknow? like the world exists more vibrantly outside of our main lens of vision. that everywhere there are these little, important relationships that just exist. take… I don’t know. i think this is a large reason I read sports manga—tsukishima’s whole training camp development is pushed by kuroo and bokuto and also his friendship with yamaguchi. hinata is like a footnote in the whole thing. uhhh aomine and kise have that entire history of doing one-on-ones together, and like them having been pretty close adds new depth to their characterization and really speaks to what kind of people they are, more than them just being friends with kuroko! kalego and balam have been friends for years and I think they’re both scary in different ways and then being genuine friends says something about how they judge people and why kalego in specific teaches the misfits class.

and this is all to say like. what tbhk / jshk does with minamoto kou and mitsuba sousuke is SO. like oh my gosh. like the chapters with mitsuba’s introduction are like veryyyy intense but then like mitsuba just isn’t mentioned for like 7 chapters or so? and ur like wtf and at least I was wondering if that was the kind of thing that was going to like be kind of dropped off after a while… kinda like, I don’t know, sesshomaru and kagura in inuyasha after kagura’s death—there’s a lot of wind references in the ensuing chapters but not much afterwards. but like mitsuba is Constantky part of kou’s thoughts! he’s important and really never disappears from the story! and idk I just love that he’s given that much weight in kou’s story given that kou is like part of the main trio but not really the main two, but he still has this long running important arc related to him and mitsuba that like honestly, doesn’t even connect too much to what else is going on!!! like I don’t know, it’s just really important to me the way that even when mitsuba’s not there, he’s on kou’s mind—it’s just so obvious how much they mean to each other?

and like, that’s something I really like too. i love it when like, there’s this very specific way a character will downplay their relationship with another character because it’s almost like… too hard to articulate, or too much to properly express. and I definitely feel that here so it’s like. idk. I’m having a great time

yes! i’m actually not super acquainted w anime either but i’m trying to get into it more too. in terms of what i have already seen:

your lie in april is one of my top pieces of comfort media. stealing the netflix summary: “after his mother’s death, a piano prodigy’s will to play disappears. but meeting a free-spirited girl who plays the violin turns his life around.” it Definitely has its flaws and can be a bit pretentious and cliché but personally i am a musician who first watched it in middle school when my mental state took a decided turn for the worse so it is v close to my heart & has really helped me get thru some things :”) it’s inspiring too; whenever i go through a slump w music chances are i’ll throw it on for a rewatch to remind myself why i love it so much. a main theme is also “life’s short so we should let go and live it to the fullest” which is smth i tend to struggle w so it gets me on my feet in that sense as well. lastly the visuals and soundtrack etc are stunning. fair warning though, child abuse is present in flashbacks and the ending is notorious for making ppl cry

studio ghibli is a given ofc it is perfect for when you just want to snuggle up w a blanket and hot chocolate and relax <3 if you aren’t familiar w it it’s a film animation studio and all the movies it produces just. really make you appreciate and see the beauty in the little things of life it’s so refreshing! i haven’t watched a ton but if i had to choose a favorite i love ponyo i just think it is so delightfully bizarre. really most of the ones i’ve seen are but ponyo in particular is so cute and carefree abt it. anyway no matter which one you pick it will be a positively blissful experience 😌

fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood i just think is neat!! i love the cast of characters and the sense of humor it employs. the relationships between the main trio are v entertaining and it really knows how to get you to like them. it’s a super popular anime but if you don’t know it the title is pretty self-explanatory, it’s abt two brothers dealing w alchemy hahaha for an actual summary i would just look it up real quick. its overarching plot is pretty serious? but like i said it’s v enjoyable. it achieves a good equilibrium between funny, cute, dark, etc moments. i haven’t finished it yet but i would really like to!! maybe this week i’ll pick it up where i left off. if you haven’t watched it yet i would definitely recommend it, it’s a great starting point

soul eater is a wacky one (i think this post summarizes it well) and i haven’t finished it either (though god knows how many times i’ve restarted it) but i think it is fun and its wackiness is part of the appeal <3 i haven’t watched it in a While so i can’t pinpoint specifics but even though it’s v action-packed it balances the mood w moments of light-heartedness and it knows when to take a step back and breathe. i WILL say there’s some random witchy catgirl that it sexualizes sometimes which is obviously weird but honestly not super out of the ordinary for anime of its genre and it’s not a major thing anyway so. you take what you can get lgnsmf basically don’t take it too seriously. the openings slap as well

a/n: thanks for this lovely request. i’ve never really wrote for ron, he was sort of a side character in one of my abandoned stories, but i’d love to explore him, this is wonderful for that. he’s my favourite out of the trio (though i can never really choose, ofc), we both hate spiders and love chicken and eating in general hahahah i feel like we’re so alike. ANYWAY, here is something fluffy with ron:) i chose quite the cliché setting, but i think it’s nice. nothing much romantic, bcs ron is a brother to me and i’d be uncomfortable with that, i’m sorry. it’s still fluff:) stay safe, enjoy. happy reading!

The fireplace, which seemed always ablaze, was warming the remaining Gryffindor students’s feet with its fire. The students weren’t great in number, they were five in total because most were done studying late and had gone to bed already. Ron was keeping Y/N company while she studied for a test tomorrow that she shared with Hermione. But the Granger girl had already, of course, studied for it, so she had no problem on the night before.

It wasn’t like Y/N was stressed out of her mind, she was quite calm about the test, she just needed to revision a few topics. There were books and notebooks and random pieces of parchment scattered across their table’s surface. Ron was leaned back in his chair, rereading a book on Quidditch History for (Y/N was sure) the thousandth time already. Y/N’s forehead was on her hand as she continued to make her conspect on the farthest planets known to wizards.

“How’s it gooooing?” Ron asked from his chair. Y/N lifts her head up momentarily as a smile tugs at her lips, and she sighs to herself.

“Just fine.” She said and then looked at Ron properly, locking her hands together before her on the pile of books. He looked at her through his forehead, sort of, but never menacingly, only curiously. “How many times did the Cannons win the League again?”

Ron chuckled and glanced back down to his book, though he knew the fact so well that he’d tell it to you without struggle if you woke him in the middle of the night. “Twenty-one, but only in 1892.” He said. “Which is the farthest planet from ours?”

Y/N smiled wide. “D’you want the muggle truth or our truth?” She asked, resting her chin in her hand. Ron grinned wide. “Saturn, for the muggles.” She said, then. “But Alastar for us.” Ron’s eyebrows furrowed.

“I think I knew a bloke called Alastar…” He admitted, scratching the back of his neck, he really looked like he was trying to remember. Y/N couldn’t figure out whether he was serious or not, and she chuckled. “D’you think the star’s named after ‘im?” She chuckled again.

“People are usually named after stars, not vice versa.” She pointed out. Ron leaned forward, his elbows on their table. He raised his eyebrows.

“But what if he discovered the planet?” He suggested and raised his index finger in the air. “Then it would be named after ‘im.”

Y/N smiled wide. “Wow, you’re better than my astronomy and history books.” She said, shaking her head and smiling wider with every second. Ron blushed and laughed and hung his big ginger head lower, not wanting her to see his blush. But she did, alright, and she had nothing to say about it other than that the blush was cute, to her, at least. But she didn’t care about anyone else. “That could be on the quiz.”

“What exactly? The question whether a star is named after a person or vice versa?” Ron precised and made her laugh again. He smiled. Y/N glanced down at her empty pink cup once her laughter had sort of died down, and she turned the cup around between her hands. “I think that needs refilling.”

She nodded at his empty orange cup with raised eyebrows, it was sitting next to hers. “Yours does, too.” She stated, and they both laughed again. They’re probably too tired, that’s why they’re laughing so frequently.

“Mine’s not empty, actually.” Ron said, lifting it up to his mouth. Y/N held her tongue with something to say right on the tip of it, and watched as Ron drank in the remaining of his hot chocolate. They both had got one for each from the kitchen before they came to their common room and started to study, and no wonder her cup was empty and his was—“Ah, it’s cold!” Ron retracted the cup and cringed expressively at what he’d drank. Cold hot chocolate was never pleasant, especially when you live somewhere with stone walls and floors, it gave you more chills. And especially when you’re tired and everything’s bound to get on your nerves. Y/N chuckled at his facial expression and took her pink cup between her hands. “Sure, laugh at my misery!” Ron complained, but she saw a smile tugging at his lips.

“Shall we go and get a refill?” She asked then, looking suggestively at Ron.

“What, now?”

“Yes, now, when else?”

Ron was hesitant. His voice quieted down to a whisper when he spoke, “I don’t think we should. Isn’t there a curfew or somethin’?”

Y/N shook her head. “There’s no curfew. And we’ll be quick, come on, everyone’s almost asleep, anyway.” She already rose to her feet, but Ron still sat in his chair. But she gave him her hand to motivate him to get up, and he did eventually.

“McGonagall’s gonna have our heads on sticks if she catches us.” Ron said as they walk through the common room’s entrance door. Y/N laughed quietly to herself, knowing how good the echo is in the Hogwarts castle, as she waited for Ron, her cup in hand.

“She won’t, trust me.” She assured him and took his hand again. Ron tried to match the speed of her feet that treaded so lightly on the stone steps of the moving stairs, and he started giggling after he’d almost fallen over. She hushed him and they continued their journey down to the kitchen.

i got into persona v recently and finished p5 for the first time a week ago, and ive been thinkin 24/7 abt the found family and tarot symbolism ever since. please go off abt it! (also if its ok to ask. been thinkin of tryin p3 or p4 next which would u recommend?)

Sorry for the late response Anon!! Hoo boy I have some Thoughts about Persona 5 and while not all of them are positive First things first, so it isn’t buried under my ramblings, Persona 3. Definitely play that first. Specifically Portable cause as Hamuko you get all the party Social Links and also you don’t have to deal with a babe hunt scene or a transphobic joke. And, P4 is a real slog to get through because of the homophobia and transphobia that is so present through the main game, on top of what I personally think is a shakily written plot. While I’d say you can skip it entirely, it is necessary if you ever want to get into Arena which I highly recommend just for Labrys alone. She’s a wonderful character. ONTO PERSONA 5 TALK First off the Positives. It was my first Persona game I’ve played but also the first where I finished the like, plot. Like I had originally gotten into Persona 4 when I was fourteen but I never finished watching the playthrough of the game I had been binge watching. It will always hold a special place in my heart despite its flaws. I think the Shujin Trio is the best of the Protag-Best Friend-Girl trios of the modern games simply because Ryuji and Ann are Just So Personable and also. While I love Yukari SO much, I am not that fond of Junpei. Like I love him, but like. I have some complaints. NOT going to get myself off track though, this is Persona 5 time. I also really love some of the aesthetic of the game so much? I was originally drawn to it BECAUSE of the heist movie aesthetic that opening gives us and while the rest of the game doesn’t quite deliver, it is still just SO FUN to go through some of the palaces. The catharsis of Kamoshida’s palace will honestly never be topped because while I kinda hate the opening palace now after playing the game five times(four for vanilla, once for Royal), I’ll never get over the feeling I got back in 2017 when I first watched Ann nearly torch Kamoshida even if I hate her thief outfit SO MUCH. I think it has some strong beats and an interesting statement it wanted to make even if it doesn’t follow through with it. Also, Rivers in the Desert is the best fight song out of all the modern games. It just fucks so hard. Now onto the negative. There’s so much missed potential first off. Second off there’s a lot of really tone deaf moments that make it really hard to like. Respect the game as much as I do Persona 3. The first being how sexualized Ann is, like. Really. Cmon. And on that same topic, Ryuji’s Atlus Horny Boy syndrome he develops after the first palace. Also Makoto’s whole cop thing, like in Persona 3 or 4, while I still say ACAB, it wouldn’t come off as such a spit in the face like it does in Persona 5- A game that has stated over and over that cops and other people in positions of power are corrupt and shouldn’t be trusted. Also, Sae’s palace while it is my favorite of all of the Palaces, it doesn’t hit as hard as it could because so much of it is centered around Akechi and the Betrayal. If it seemed personal for Akechi or if it at all focused on how hard this is for Makoto, it would have hit harder. SPEAKING OF MAKOTO AGAIN- and also Akechi- I think the traitor twist with Akechi was Too Obvious and I think Makoto could have made for SUCH a good red herring for a traitor ESPECIALLY because of how the Casino was her sister’s palace you know? That’s kind of all my thoughts for the moment, I might talk more on this later.

Introduce yourself! Hello everyone! I'm Lulu. I'm 20 years old, I live in the Philippines, and I've been a fan of Inazuma Eleven for a really really really long time! I'm a mainly illustration artist, but I'm also partly a writer in the Inazuma fandom! Though, I did start out as a fanfiction writer, I gradually shifted to becoming an artist, mainly because of my interests towards art and desire to have it as a career in the future.

How long have you been a fan? How did you discover Inazuma Eleven? Somehow, I still remember how I first knew about Inazuma. It was around August 2010, and I was at home during that time. It was nighttime in our place, but it happened before dinnertime. I walked to the living room of my house where I saw that the TV was on and my brother was watching something. The channel that was on was Cartoon Network, and the show that was airing right now was...?

It was a bunch of kids playing soccer, against...aliens?! It was that episode where Epsilon was introduced, and Kogure (or Scotty, as how I first knew him) first played for Raimon. Intrigued, I sat down and continued watching it with my brothers. And then the episode finished, but it was around then that I caught on the name of the show that I watched. Inazuma Eleven, huh? Oddly, I can't remember myself watching the rest of the episodes after that...sort of. I somehow remember watching the last few episodes (of the Aliea arc), and honestly, I really enjoyed those episodes so much that I wanted to watch it all again! It was September 2010, and I began my habit of watching continuously the Aliea arc episodes from Gouenji's return, up until the finale of the Dark Emperors...with the dub version. Somehow, CN Philippines' website had those episodes, and I would find myself watching those episodes everyday after school. But as time went on, I craved for more. I was curious if there was more to Inazuma than just fighting aliens. So I searched it up on Google, and the answer I had wanted was true. There were MORE Inazuma episodes! More than A HUNDRED! I quickly typed up Inazuma Eleven Episode 100 on Youtube, because I was curious to know what was the 100th episode. And I watched it, obviously, and to my surprise...it was about Xavier...and Scotty? Why are they called Hiroto and Kogure?? Why are they together??? It was October 2010, and around this time, I discovered the original Inazuma series...in JP audio! I just continued watching the series after, finishing the original series immediately after it aired and moving on to the GO series. I also constantly rewatched a lot of the episodes during that time! I was really obsessed with Ina11, but it honestly really made me happy so I'm not complaining!

How has Inazuma impacted you since discovered the series? What does Inazuma mean to you? What has made you stick around? I think, if anything, Inazuma is the series that really cemented majority of my interests and made me who I am today!

Inazuma is the series that really made me start out both writing and drawing, it's the series that made me realize that anime is my main interest in media, and it's what got me engaged in the Internet and fandom engagement!

Also, because of Inazuma, I made so many friends! Many of my friends I met here, we all came from Inazuma! And I would like to meet and make even more friends!!!

And this series, it...really means so much to me. I really, really, really love Inazuma??? It's hard to explain how much I love this series. I honestly feel like I fundamentally wouldn't be where I am today without Inazuma, seriously! Despite it being such a pretty unpopular series, I love this series so much to bits;;;;;

I mainly stuck around because...I guess, the series really kept me interested?? Inazuma is one of those series I don't think I would ever let go,. It's too important to me! It's hard to say with words why exactly I stayed hdhhfksj;;

Who are your favourite characters from Inazuma Eleven and why are they your favourites? I started out without really having a solid favorite, until the episode where Raimon and Epsilon Kai happened. Episode 52, specifically.

Back then, I was in despair that Raimon was losing against Epsilon! And there was also a mysterious boy in a orange hoodie who kept popping up. He seemed to be in danger, why? (Please note I started watching Inazuma from Fubuki's debut.)

And then after going through a lot of trouble with aliens, the mysterious boy came to the field. I was confused to who he was, until he took off his hoodie and all of the Raimon cheered happily to see who he was.

It was Gouenji (or Axel back when I first watched)! I didn't know him at all, but from the past episodes I've watched, everyone seemed to admire him a lot. I wonder why?

And I got my answer when he began to play.

I JUST HJHKJHFDJKGF 12 YEAR OLD ME WAS AMAZED BY HIM???? HE WAS SO COOL, DODGING THEIR PLAYS AND WHEN HE SHOT FIRE TORNADO I WAS SCREAMING SO MUCH IN JOY. AND THEN THE MOMENT HE SHOT BAKUNETSU STORM WAS SO AWESOME, AND THAT SHOT OF HIM WHERE THE GOAL MADE IT IN AND HE HAD THIS COOL SMILE. IM SO!!!!!!

IT WAS RIGHT THEN AND THERE THAT HE WOULD BE MY FAVE. I LOVE HIM. I LOVE GOUENJI. i love one good flame boy sO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oops, sorry for...that. I'll be honest though, I fell in love more when he was Ishido??? Though, initially, I wasn't...accepting of this change of his. It was pretty hard for then 13 year old me at the time to accept that he was playing the bad guy! But I've changed my ways and realized...Ishido good. All Gouenjis Good.

Though, enough of Gouenji! I have other faves in the series as well!

In the OG series my faves are Kazemaru, Fubuki, Hiroto, and Haruna! My faves in GO are Kinako, Kariya, Taiyou, and Manabe! And my faves in Ares/Orion are Nae, Nosaka, and Norika!

It's hard to explain why I love them so much?? Since I got to know most of them when I was much younger and just liked them if they gave me...feelings. Anyways, yeah! Tbh, I love most of the characters in Inazuma anyway! They're all good and I appreciate them for what they are, even if they don't get to shine so much!!

Any favourite pairings? OTPs, BROTPs? Initially, I never really liked any ship in Inazuma, but I think the first pair I fell in love was RanMasa! It's my very first otp ever, so it holds a special place in my heart!

Now, aside RanMasa, I also really love NoriNae, KazeSaku, Honoo no Pride poly (Gouenji, Fubuki, & Someoka), HiroMido, Taiten, and NishiYuu!

As for BROTPs, I love Break Trio, Ares Teikoku, GO Raimon First Years, and Ares Hakuren!

Has there been any particular favourites moments within Inazuma Eleven so far? Why are they your favourites? Obviously, my favorite has got to be the Gouenji's comeback in the Aliea arc! Mainly because it's what solidified my love and appreciation for the flame striker! Though if there two other scenes that left a huge impact on me, it was probably Chrono Stone's Episode 18. Particularly, Kirino's inner struggle on how he feels that he can't keep up with Shindou, and then Kariya comes in and helps him by pretending to be sick so Kirino can go with Raimon instead to the France era. And the other, is the whole Dark Emperors versus Raimon match! I loved that episode with Kirino's struggle, mainly because it's kind of what made me love RanMasa and also appreciate both characters a lot more. Kirino is more than a pretty face, and despite Kariya knowing that he isn't on best terms with Kirino, decides to help him. It's really touching, actually, it made me love the ship!

As for the Dark Emperors versus Raimon match, it's...hard to explain why I like it so much? I think it's because I've always liked the trope of friends to enemies (for a time), and it kind of made me appreciate Kazemaru and Endou's friendship a lot!

What do you hope to happen for the next 10 years of Inazuma? Anything on your Inazuma wishlist you hope to happen in the future? Whether it be in Orion or any future IE series? I just hope nothing bad happens to the OG and new cast in Orion, please let them all play happy soccer ;____; and also, maybe an alternate GO series that follows after the Ares-verse??

keith: after writing all this out, i’m switching up my ranking from my last post. so. yeah. now it’s gryffindor > hufflepuff > slytherin = ravenclaw

gryffindor: does whatever he feels is necessary for the greater good, impulsive, definitely reckless courageous, strongest quality is his willingness to fight for what he believes is a good cause, which is gryffindor

hufflepuff: i know i said i wasn’t very much for this in my last post but…i meditated on it. and yeah. it’s moving up the ranks. hardworking, loyal (in a slytherin way but it counts), and trying to figure out how to be openminded. expanded on here if you missed it.

slytherin: he’s ride or die for people he’s close with. i wouldn’t call him cunning or ambitious, but he’s got that slytherin mentality of sticking close with his people. i think it’s a good quality for him, but not really a dominant slytherin trait, so i’m putting it lower.

ravenclaw: Conspiracy Keith spending months in the desert Unearthing the Truth. but it’s a pretty minor character trait for him. if he were characterized differently in a fanwork, maybe…? but in canon he’s not very ravenclaw.

lance: slytherin = gryffindor = hufflepuff = ravenclaw. do you know how sometimes you see a fanwork that has a character in a house you just can’t tolerate and it bugs you the whole time? no such thing for lance. i’d accept him in any house just the same.

slytherin: my default preference at the moment bc a lot of people in my corner of the fandom like it, i’m a slytherin and i appreciate it, and i like the thought of fellow slytherins pidge and hunk + gryffindor keith. if you need convincing about the wonders of slytherin lance:

cunning: he’s smart like he snuck out of the garrison to have fun and managed to do a bunch of risky scans in beta traz without getting caught

ambitious: wanting to be better than keith. challenging shiro’s authority. his fucking dream parade. boy has ambition out the wazoo.

ride or die: rode for pidge in the post-simulator scene, and died for coran in the bomb scene. he is such a ride or die it’s not even funny.

also if the sorting hat told him “slytherin can help you on the path to greatness”, like…he’d totally pick it.

gryffindor: heroic, competitive, brave (for the sake of others esp) – he’d be an absolutely beautiful gryffindor. i love him.

hufflepuff: i could actually find an old post about this one, and agree with all the points i made in it. his openheartedness is outstanding, as is his hardworking attitude and loyalty. he’s a great hufflepuff.

ravenclaw: as stated before, he’s smart. he restrained keith so that they could be more strategic in ‘return to the balmera’, and picked up on altean timekeeping pretty quickly. his ability to pick up on new things could easily be his dominant trait and earn him a spot in ravenclaw.

i think one of my old posts also said “lance is in a different house every day. no one knows what house he was in originally. he has all the uniforms. the prefects tell him the passwords bc for all they know he might be theirs?? and he’s great at all the ravenclaw riddles.” i also stand by this.

hunk: slytherin = hufflepuff = ravenclaw = gryffindor. another one who’s perfect in every house.

slytherin: ‘taking flight’. just. come on. what a fucking slytherin. i love him. he’s cunning and would definitely step on someone else for the sake of someone he cares about more. ride or die af too.

hufflepuff: again, suuuuper loyal. can be openhearted…like, not as much as lance, but quickly adopted the entire planet of balmera and is the first we see (besides shiro) accepting galra keith. i’m sure he’s hardworking too? but we haven’t seen that much in canon so it wouldn’t be the main reason he got sorted.

ravenclaw: i’m not even bothering with an argument for this, my baby boy is a GENIUS ok if you dispute the possibility of this for a second we’re Over.

gryffindor: brave!!! so so so brave!!! like, he was scared of a lot in the beginning and then he turned into such a badass!!! what a neville!!! i love him!!! he’d be in gryffindor solely for his bravery, though, but since it’s a major trait (slytherin’s secondary ride-or-die-ness for keith) it’s just as likely as the other sortings.

pidge: slytherin = ravenclaw > gryffindor. yeah, i’m uh. not even putting hufflepuff up here. if you can’t settle for one of those three, you’re reaching too far.

slytherin: ambitious as FUCK did you see her going deep undercover and sneaking into the garrison REPEATEDLY to get the information she wanted?? definitely cunning. god, what a slytherin, i love her.

ravenclaw: ok same as hunk…like do i even have to dispute this. i’m sure it’s the default sorting for most of the fandom anyway.

i have a sliiiiight preference for slytherin pidge, but i think ravenclaw is just as acceptable, so i put an = between them.

gryffindor: i mean, you’ve got to be brave to do all the shit she did at the garrison. definitely reckless. she, lance, and keith as gryffindor buddies would honestly be Such A Trio to watch (hunk could be in any house in this instance so long as he is in a constant state of Oh God Oh No trying to keep up with them before they get themselves killed, or worse, expelled)

shiro: i actually haven’t put much thought into his lmao. i’m not a Shiro Person and i don’t really get how to characterize him. i’d say…hufflepuff > gryffindor > ravenclaw?

hufflepuff: rly loves his friends and family…like he literally went to die for matt. he’s such a dad trying to help keith and pidge feel better. his loyalty and support for others would be his hufflepuff trait. plus, he works hard!!

gryffindor: v brave, heroic…yeah, again, i don’t know enough abt him to go deep on this.

ravenclaw: he’s got to be smart, right? i think it’s a more minor trait for him though.

allura: gryffindor > slytherin > hufflepuff

gryffindor: a brave hero, leader, and total icon. she’s been through so much and she’s so strong and still wants to help others!! i love her.

slytherin: in ‘some assembly required’ when she’s basically torturing the paladins into cooperating? such a slytherin move. i think her reaction to galra keith was pretty slytherin too, like, wanting to protect her own people first. plus, slytherins are totally the best leaders!! anyway, total slytherin, but i think gryffindor first.

hufflepuff: i’m mostly just putting it here bc it’s a possibility and i’m sure someone stans for it. she’s supportive and openhearted toward the universe as a whole and puts everyone before herself, and that’s great? but i think it plays out better as gryffindor.

coran: ravenclaw = hufflepuff > gryffindor = slytherin

ravenclaw: he knows Many Things, and i think he’d be an Eccentric Ravenclaw. dispenses wisdom to the younger kids, and they never quite understand what he means until the Time is Right. the type of guy who the first years will hear talked-up the whole ride there, and then their first experience with him is watching him try to unstick food from his hair bc he tried to enchant it to do a sick loop-de-loop in the air before falling in his mouth. they look to the upperclassmen in confusion. the upperclassmen are watching him with a fond smile.

hufflepuff: a good and helpful friend!! will help you out with whatever you need, and has a serious issue with adopting too many first years. he’ll stay up with you all night to help you study, or stay in the library for a week to find you exactly the information you need. bleeding heart. great guy. loves everyone and is loved by them in turn.

gryffindor: in the days of his youth, he was a rebellious and scrappy guy. would kick anyone’s ass. would kick his own ass. does many ill-advised things which cause gryffindor prefect alfor to fall in love with him. it’s a beautiful relationship.

slytherin: really chipper and friendly for the most part, so everyone is shocked when he gets detention in the forbidden forest for hexing a seventh year who kept picking on some fifth years. he’s shocked too. usually he never gets caught.

ok now some headcanons but only a few bc i’m running out of time

imagine (if somehow the latter two could be captains at the same time as the former) quidditch captains allura (slytherin), shiro (hufflepuff), lance (ravenclaw), and keith (gryffindor). now imagine captains allura, shiro, lance, and hunk because keith got kicked out of the captaincy for his third unofficial duel that month.

coran behaved like a prefect ever since his third year. when he officially received the position, everyone was kinda surprised that he hadn’t gotten it sooner, despite the age limit.

houseswapped hp au with slytherins lance, hunk, and pidge as the golden trio, and gryffindor keith as a non-shitty draco.

ok yeah i’m out, but what endless possibilities, am i right??

Overall thoughts: Having Ryusoulger being a little bit dark around the edges is such a refreshing feeling. It’s the first time I ever felt genuinely terrified for a character because of the intense risk. I really love the story for this one.

Episode 29 Highlights

Sparkles is FINALLY GETTING SOME??? IS IT REALLY A HIT THIS TIME?? (nope... *sigh* it’s okay though)

Fuckin... Nada eavesdropping... I don’t like that (also Mosa Rex’s evil sensor going of the moment he shows up? love that foreshadowing)

Damn, she really might be the one but it’s holding Sparkles back... he wants to save people but honestly that’s an understandable condition for her to make... (also Nada lied, im-)

God... Sparkles really chose the team I-

Bamba practically figured out who Gaisorg really is and god, his motive is such an easy thing to spot. Plus he’s gotten the ability to infiltrate on the inside because he wants so much...

Oto!!!! my baby, what do have? oooo... a new zord?

Overall thoughts: Idk if it’s considered character development for Sparkles??? But I loved the foreshadowing leading up to the reveal. Also... it seems that Nada has a greater ryusoul, but i wonder how he got it.

Episode 30 Highlights

Loving that Kou will always stick to his character

Yeah the whole “I wanna show everyone how wrong they were” kind of motive seemed pretty obvious

I’m honestly very impressed with Kanaro. That slap was such a power move.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NADA WTF Dude. DUDE. *I noticed there was a change in color of the overall video... nice editing touch, made me be aware that smth was going to go wrong. And then as the episode ends, the color gets darker... nice, nice* BUT SHIT! I ACTUALLY DIDNT EXPECT NADA TO TURN THAT FAST

Overall thoughts: Backstory, character development, and editing tactics took this episode up really high! I loved it!

Episode 31 Highlights

Heeeeyyy squad’s here! Loved that Melt corrected himself, shows that his aim is at the armor and not the person wearing it

Overall thoughts: Nice introduction for Pteradon! (also i loved the whole cape? thing going on there, reminded me of KyouryuGold tbh)

Episode 32 Highlights

We know Bambs and Nad have a history, but what is it? Hope they go in depth at some point...

OH SHIT NADA!!! YOU’RE BACK!! HELL YEAH!!

Man, that fake Gaisorg scare was really funny. I suppose, Nada’s a redeemed villan now?

Overall thoughts: I liked it! I’ve heard from others that they didn’t like this arc, but I certainly appreciate it! It gave a lot of growth and showed a lot of different sides to the main rangers that we didn’t get to see.

Preview Time~

As I predicted, Nada will join the team as a Ryusoulger! Really dug his tag line “Knight of Resilience” because that’s truly what he’s become. Struggling with armor for who knows how long since he got it. But... strange... he’s seem to add to Red’s armor... And Uden seems really powerful... I’m predicting a death will occur next episode...
