chapter 1053

ik people have been complaining ab luffy’s bounty not being higher, but it makes sense. the wg is already dealing w the aftermath of losing kaido and big mom as powerhouses, and they don’t want to draw too much attention to luffy bc he’s joyboy. so ofc they’re gonna try and make him blend in w the other captains on wano.

also kidd looks so unhinged and ugly i love him

OH OKAY. when i read the spoilers i felt so dumb bc i was like “am i supposed to remember who kozuki sukiyaki is??” but oda predicted ppl like me are too stupid. bless him.

i love these scenes where robin goes off on her own to learn and saves us from lengthy info dumps.

this doesn’t really match up w the image i had in my head of him, but he still seems kinda cool. i just don’t think the voice will fit him.

kinda want to know what actor he’s based on tho.

but like in all seriousness, oda uses buggy to delegitimize certain positions. like,, after buggy became a warlord, the warlord system was dissolved. i think the same thing is gonna happen here and soon the title of emperor will be meaningless.

overall, i don’t think wano is fully over, since we still haven’t done anything about the road poneglyph or pluton. we’ll probably have a little more time on wano in the next chapter after the month-long hiatus before moving on to the next arc in order to get all that resolved.
