At the Alight, I was really delighted when I found out there was even a sort of welcome set in one of the formerly inaccessible small towers, with cushions and everything.
FINALLY
Because, see…
I never posted this before (…I think ?), but during my gliding glitch era in HZD, I did some fun experiments at The Alight trying to get to the top of these buildings, which I couldn't do because invisible walls (T.T).
One very funny result, tho, was that I was causing Varl, Erend and Talanah to spawn on top of them, following me xD
So in a sense, I already got there by proxy, but you have no idea how ecstatic I was to not only be able to get there but also, it wasn't empty, and I could take pictures with Aloy in there ??
It was like someone had thought specifically of me xD
I went all around the place (from the outside perimeter, because, again, invisi-walls T.T), bringing them after me to see if they would spawn everywhere xD
And they did, with some frightening results sometimes because they spawned at the same point xD
I probably didn't match the same buildings in some of those pics, it's been a while, but you get the idea xD
I also took a look to see if The Estate was still there and it is :b

I've had a ton of screenshots from my journey through HZD as my personal wallpapers but felt like sharing them. If not with this community, then whom?
I love the feeling of foreboding and exploration as you creep forward over the precipice, the point of no return, hearing the sounds of industrial machine parts, steam and clanking, the ambient roar in the air...

Welcome to Horizon-Ranger! An exploration into the world of Horizon Zero Dawn through the lens of National Park Service style posts.
As someone who works in the outdoor industry, I have quite some experience in NPS style interpretation, but also a wide breadth of knowledge about nature, cultures, and history to apply to thinks found in HZD! I'm a HUGE hzd fan with lots of know on the world so it just makes sense to blend my two interests together!
So whether it's tidbits about the culture of the Nora or a post about the Windgate sandstone of Meridian, I hope we all have fun and learn about the wild world of HZD and come to appreciate our own
