25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story?

Oooooh well let's see - if we're going by like fics I've written based on other characters, I'd probably go with something head cannon-y I ship for TOG folks since I've spent a lot of time with them ruminating around in my head?

I like to ship Andy as someone who might be forgetting what her mother looks like but still remembers how free she feels when riding a horse, because it reminds her of childhood.

I like to ship that before Andy, maybe Quỳnh was the leader.

That Joe's rings are his collection of wedding bands from the last few centuries because they get remarried at least once every century. Every time Nicky suggests he could just reuse the same band, Joe make a definitive, and very dramatic, dismissive guffaw.

Speaking of Nicky, I like to believe that he chooses to live a fairly ascetic life, as part of a spiritual choice/practice. Hence why he cuts his own hair even though by now they gotta be millionaires.

With Booker, I think it would be funny if he did fake IDs both as a necessity but also just to fuck with historical figures over the centuries - doesn't even matter if it takes decades, he'll stumble on some newspaper clipping of their confusion whenever they circle back to an area and just cackles.

And finally, but certainly not least, for Ms. Nile. I would like to believe she has a more playful side to herself. Warm and boisterous (if not a bit more subdued than Joe's) and her fave art style is ceramics

Taking a short break from the Christmas comic cuz the last part might be in 2 or 3 pages and I really needed a break lol-

SO. With the lovely Monolog on Amity Arena, we were doing Snowbird shit with me being Qrow as usual and her being Winter where for some dumb reasons I changed to be Neon Katt. And then we started to madly ship those two cuz they are wholesome-

She asked me to find a name for our ship and I randomly said "Sprinkles", which we both found cute and cool.

SO HERE WE GO WITH MY SPRINKLES MADNESS.

Besides, I really love the dynamic they could have.

A cute hyper-positive and happy kitty who just wishes to see the Ice Queen beauty smile and be happy !

Winter really needs positive people, or people who can change her vision of things.

HEADCANONS

Kat was born the middle child of Amelia and Gerald Becker, a rather well to do couple living in Columbus, Ohio. Kat rarely, if ever, went by their full first name as a child, it was almost always Kat that they answered to. It wasn’t that they necessarily disliked their name, they just didn’t think it fit them all the way. It always felt too long and too awkward in their mouth. Kat was easier to say and far more fitting.

Growing up, Kat was always into learning new things. Their main topics of interest were art and history. They excelled in school and were always top of their class, the kind of person who everyone knew was a nerd but due to their interest in art and ability to play the electric guitar, had far more social standing than most nerds would. They were just cool enough to be liked, drifting from group to group as their interests changed. Though, their parents money definitely helped with that, and not just a little bit.

As a teenager, a few things became strikingly obvious to Kat. They definitely weren’t straight, and they probably weren’t cis. Their attraction to people ranged far and wide across genders, gender expressions, and everything in between. As for their own gender, their personal expression had always been a little more androgynous and fluid, hyper masculine one day, hyper feminine the next, drifting across gender lines in the same way they did social ones. However, it wasn’t until they’d left Columbus for Pittsburgh and college that they figured out they were trans.

Coming out as queer had been easy. Their parents were pretty easy going about the whole thing, just reminding Kat to be safe. However, when Kat came out as nonbinary and legally changed their name to Katrin Apollo Becker, their parents didn’t take it quite as well. In fact, Kat didn’t hear from either of their parents until just before their graduation from Carnegie Mellon. After reconnecting, it took some time but Kat repaired the relationship with their parents.

College came easy for Katrin, much like learning always had. They worked their way through a major with two minors with ease at Carnegie Mellon, taking classes through both winter and summer vacations in order to graduate early, which is how they found themself moving to New York and starting a master’s in photography at Parsons School of Design. During which time, Kat started working as a photographer as a way to pay their bills and be able to use less of their parents’ financial support in their day-to-day life. Even still, Kat wasn’t finished learning and found themself applying to NYU’s art history and art conservation dual master’s program. They knew they wanted to go into teaching and with three master’s degrees under their belt it wasn’t all that hard to apply for, and receive, a place on NYU’s staff. While the position is considered temporary, given they then started in the PhD program, they intend to make themself someone worth keeping on staff.

CONNECTIONS

Amelia & Gerald Becker (parents) : Kat is pretty close with their parents. While the original fallout over their gender wasn’t pretty, both of their parents eventually came around and Kat couldn’t be happier to know their parents accept them as they are.

Vincent & Magnus Becker (siblings) : Nothing to mention.

Kurt Hummel (cousin): Nothing to mention.
