133 London Restaurants With New Delivery & Collection Options

As you know, London’s restaurants are closed for dine-in service. Things are changing though. Day by day, more and more restaurants are getting into collection and/or delivery, and others are offering new specials. Even though we might not be able to go to these restaurants and eat there, we can support them (and eat something great) by ordering their food. We’ll keep updating this guide with more information as we get it, so stay tuned, and stay well.

The okonomiyaki specialist is open seven days a week for delivery and collection, from 12 until 8pm. The Tokyo mix - pork, squid, and prawn - is our preferred pancake to start with, but don’t ignore the yaki-soba or the tempura either. They’re delivering across N, S, and W postcodes within 10 miles and you can order directly from the website.

Carousel ££££ 71 Blandford St

Carousel invite chefs from all over the world to cook in their kitchen for a week or so, and now they’ve launched their ‘Greatest Hits’ series for delivery and takeaway - inspired by dishes from all the chefs that have had a residency in the restaurant. The menu changes every couple of weeks and Mexican is the cuisine to kick things off. Check here for more details.

Daddy Bao £ £ £ £ Taiwanese in Tooting ££££ 113 Mitcham Road

If you live around Tooting, then you probably already know about Daddy Bao. And if you don’t know about Daddy Bao, then you should absolutely be ordering shiitake mushroom bao, handmade gyozas, and lots more from this Taiwanese spot. It’s open Thursday - Sunday and you can order via apps or call 0203 601 3232.

Jamavar £ £ £ £ Indian , Curry in Mayfair ££££ 8 Mount St

Upmarket Mayfair spot Jamavar is delivering a fine dining menu of Indian food seven days a week. The menu ranges from the tandoor to biryanis, as well as larger group set menu orders. Head to the website for more details.

Vardo £ £ £ £ Cafe/Bakery , Brunch in Chelsea ££££ 9 Duke Of York Square

The airy all-day Chelsea restaurant is offering a click-and-collect service on small plates like jamon croquettes, wedge salads, as well as pizzas and bowls.

Som Saa £ £ £ £ Thai in Shoreditch , Spitalfields ££££ 43A Commercial St

One of London’s go-to Thai restaurants, Som Saa is now doing delivery its smack-in-your face regional Thai dishes. You can order classics like tod mon pla (fish cakes), som tam thai (green papaya salad), gaeng baa gai baan (jungle curry), and much more from here.

Cocotte ££££ 95 Westbourne Gr

Rotisserie chicken pros Cocotte have a few locations in Hoxton, Notting Hill, and Parsons Green, and now they’re offering delivery and takeaway too. Head to their website to order whole chickens, roasted pepper salads, and other tasty bits.

Dinings Sw3 £ £ £ £ Sushi in Knightsbridge ££££ Lennox Mews

The super-swish sushi restaurant is now offering delivery and collection, as well as premium £150 bento boxes. The extensive menu has individual sushi and sashimi - bluefin tuna, hand dived scallops - on top platters, and also small plates like black cod or wagyu beef sliders. Check here for more info.

Attawa ££££ 6 Kingsland Road

A new opening in Dalston, Attawa, is cooking its full menu of Punjabi cuisine for delivery and takeaway. There’s samosa, chaat, tandoor chicken, curries, and lots more.

Levan £ £ £ £ Modern European in Peckham ££££ 12 Blenheim Grove

Out of all of London’s small-plates-serving-and-natural-wine-pouring restaurants, Levan is one of the best. The Peckham spot is now doing a menu of dishes to collect and finish at home, like potato, mushroom, and Vacherin pie, or slow-cooked lamb with mint and goat’s curd. You can pre-order everything from their website, including some choice bottles, of course.

Jikoni ££££ 19 Blandford St

Marylebone’s Jikoni has started Comfort and Joy - a vegetarian and vegan meal service inspired by cuisines all over the world. There are six boxes to choose from, with stuff like Omani lime dhal and sweet and sour aubergine curry on the menu. Everything you need is on their website.

Mei Mei ££££ Borough Market Kitchen

The Singaporian kopitiam spot in Borough Market has begun collection and delivery every Thursday to Saturday. Hainanese chicken rice, fried chicken, and more is on the menu. Order via app and check their Instagram for more info.

Sidechick ££££ 397 Mentmore Terrace

Patty and Bun, our oh-so-familiar Sunday sofa BFFs, have launched Sidechick - a rotisserie chicken and sides takeaway and delivery service. The chicken comes in three marinades - lemon, butter, and herbs, za’atar, and piri piri - along with sides like crispy potatoes and smoky aubergine with labneh. It sounds good because it is good.

Bubala £ £ £ £ Vegetarian , Middle Eastern in Spitalfields ££££ 65 Commercial Street

Bubala was one of our best new restaurants of 2019 so the news that they’re doing DIY shakshuka delivery kits is the best kind. Each kit comes with their shakshuka sauce, silky smooth hummus, four laffa breads from Ararat, and eggs as well. You can order for collection or delivery here.

Ippudo London £ £ £ £ Japanese , Ramen in Covent Garden ££££ 3 Central St Giles Piazza, St Giles High St

Japanese mini-chain Ippudo are now delivering from their Goodge Street location. There are three types of ramen, as well as bento boxes and buns, and you can order via app.

Giulia Verdinelli Flor £ £ £ £ Modern European , British in London Bridge ££££ 1 Beadle St

The team behind Flor and Lyles have launched ASAP Pizza a new sourdough pizza brand. If Flor’s flatbreads (see above) are anything to go by, these will be pretty special. The ‘Tater’ - ogleshield cheese, new potato, parsley, and capers sounds particularly good. And yes, there is a Hawaiian on the menu. You can click and collect or get them delivered if you’re around Borough.

Andi's Wadladi Kitchen ££££ 84 Upper Clapton Road

Popping up in the Crooked Billet in Clapton is Andi’s Wadadli Kitchen. It’s offering up Caribbean home cooking, like orange and ginger wings, fritter of the day, and Wadladi spiced Cubano pork belly. You can click and collect or order for delivery from the Billet’s website.

Bancone £ £ £ £ Italian in Soho ££££ Golden Square 8-10 Lower James Street

If you’re within five miles of Soho, then you’re in luck. Because it means you could soon be eating Bancone’s bucatini cacio e pepe, or their hazelnut chocolate mousse. The handmade pasta spot has got a short but very satisfying looking menu to order from.

Luca £ £ £ £ Italian in Clerkenwell , Farringdon ££££ 88 St John St

The slick Italian spot - famous for its parmesan fries and oh-so-sexy atmosphere - is now doing delivery and collection Thursday to Saturday. The menu changes, but a meal for two will cost £80 and there are vegetarian and pescatarian options too. Pre-order here.

Quality Chop House £ £ £ £ British in Clerkenwell , Farringdon ££££ 94 Farringdon Rd

What do we miss most about the Quality Chop House? Everything. Literally everything. From the ye-olde-listed 19th Century room, to the wedge of ginger parkin with butterscotch and ice cream. Though you can’t quite enjoy either of those things yet, QCH is now cooking a full menu from Wednesday - Saturday for collection or delivery

Campania and Jones £ £ £ £ Italian in Hackney , Haggerston ££££ 95 Columbia Road

What would you do to be in Campania right now? With a plate of pappardelle ragu in front of you, and a glass, sorry, bottle, of something happiness-inducing? Untold things, we assume. In the mean time, check their Instagram for daily menus and give them a call on 020 7613 0015 to collect from their spot off Columbia Road.

Dishoom £ £ £ £ Indian in Kensington ££££ 4 Derry St

If you’ve been dreaming of waking up to a bacon and egg naan then you’ll have to wait a little longer. Breakfast isn’t yet on the menu of Dishoom’s new delivery service, but that chicken ruby is. And you’re lying to yourself if you think you wouldn’t eat that for breakfast. Delivery is from their Shoreditch, King’s Cross, and Kensington branches, and you can check if you’re within range here.

Nasi Economy Rice ££££ 169 Holloway Road

Malaysian deli Nasi Economy Rice is the sibling (and next-door neighbour) to laksa-specialist Sambal Shiok. The menu is inspired is by economy rice spots found across Malaysia, where you build your box from rice base, to main (like soy ginger chicken, or black bean fried tofu puffs) before adding extras like a fried egg or tomato samba. Davies and Brook ££££ 49 Brook St

Fancy a takeaway? Claridge’s? Anyone? Yes, it is a strange old world we live in, but Davies & Brook is delivering from its home inside the Mayfair hotel. The box for one features fried chicken, three sides, house rolls, and raspberry cheesecake and will cost you £35. You can pick it up, or you can place an order to get it delivered direct from their website

My Neighbours The Dumplings £ £ £ £ Chinese , Dim Sum in Clapton , Hackney ££££ 165 Lower Clapton Road

East London’s go-to spot for potstickers, prawn wontons, and more is open for takeaway and delivery at both the original Clapton branch, and, starting June 15, from the Victoria Park location too.

Lorne £ £ £ £ Modern European , British in Victoria ££££ 76 Wilton Rd

Throw some linen on and perch some sunnies on top of your head, because Lorne’s collection-only at-home service screams summer. There’s heritage carrot and broccoli salad with a Vadouvan dressing, pecorino gnocchi, brown butter madeleines, and even an elderflower panna cotta. It’s Wednesday to Saturday only, and you can find all the details on their website.

Kricket ££££ 41 - 43 Atlantic Road

The Indian-inspired spot is delivering from its Brixton and White City locations. Lamb leg korma, hyderbadi aubergine, and Keralan fried chicken all feature on the menu, as well as ‘feast’ deals for one or two people. Check whether you’re in range here, or give them a call to order for collection.

Padella £ £ £ £ Pasta , Italian in London Bridge ££££ 6 Southwark St

A-list pasta bar Padella, usually has (virtual) queues round-the-block for a seat at its Borough and Shoreditch pasta bars. Now they’re trialling pasta kits that you simply finish up at home. So if you fancy beef shin ragu or tomato tagliarini and you live in Islington or Hackney then their delivery bicycle will come to deliver on Friday afternoons. Pre-orders open at 6pm on Wednesdays. Flor £ £ £ £ Modern European , British in London Bridge ££££ 1 Beadle St

When we reviewed Flor in 2019, we said that if there was better cakes in London than their brown butter creations then we were yet to try them. Flor is now selling those cakes, along with other pastries, bread, wine, and soft serve ice cream for takeaway from their tiny spot near Borough Market. Their pastries are also available at Snackbar in Dalston, and P. Franco in Clapton.

José ££££ 104 Bermondsey St

Cheese, cold cuts, sardines, carabineros, and boquerones are all available for click and collect from this Spanish tapas specialist in Bermondsey and Esher. There’s also a range of ready-to-eat and finish-at-home dishes like octopus with parsnip purée, croquetas, and a whole leg of suckling lamb for two. Order here.

Lahpet £ £ £ £ Burmese in Shoreditch , Spitalfields ££££ 58 Bethnal Green Road

Lahpet have been serving up the cuisine of Myanmar in east London for a few years now, and their Bethnal Green Road spot in particular is a great place for tasty food and casual hang with friends. With salad and noodle making kits available from their online store, you can create their great food at home. They’ve also got a range of pantry items for delivery or pickup. Order here.

Gunpowder £ £ £ £ Indian in Shoreditch , Spitalfields ££££ 11 White's Row

Gunpowder is an Indian restaurant that not only has a special place in our hearts, but in our Greatest Hits List. That’s why we’re so glad that they are now delivering their excellent food from their Spitalfields location. You can order things like their kashmiri, tandoori chicken in butter masala sauce, and malabar chicken wings here or here, or pre-order for collection via their website.

Assenheims 56 £ £ £ £ Latin in City ££££ Wormwood Street

South American spot Assenheims 56 is delivering its famous grilled chicken in special sauce for lunch. Choose between their marinated chicken boxes, sandwiches, and vegan options here.

Stoney Street ££££ 2-3 Stoney Street

26 Grains have began delivering boxes filled with their quality food, around London Bridge. You can get breakfast boxes, aperitivo boxes, market boxes - which have enough for a three course meal for two - and everything boxes, which is all three boxes in one. Check out their website to see what each box includes and to place an order.

Miss Tapas ££££ 46 Choumert Rd

This tapas bar in Peckham has reopened for collection meaning you can get things like mushroom croquettes with truffle oil, ox cheek, and tortillas. Keep an eye on their Instagram for the menu, and email your name, order, and collection time to [email protected]. They’ll also be offering delivery soon.

Gymkhana £ £ £ £ Indian in Mayfair ££££ 42 Albemarle St

Gymkhana’s menu is filled with iconic dishes that are only available from this Mayfair restaurant. Dishes like kid goat keema, and wild muntjac biryani are just two of the reasons we think it’s the best Indian restaurant in London. Get it delivered to your home here, assuming your home is somewhere between Sloane Square and Primrose Hill.

The Dabbawala menu is available all over London and includes favourites from the tandoor like their achari lamb chops, a selection of curries and biryanis, and of course all the breads and sides you could want. Giulia Verdinelli Circolo Popolare £ £ £ £ Italian in Fitzrovia ££££ 40 - 41 Rathbone Place

Meatball burgers, huge flavoured pizzas, and lasagne for four are all available for delivery from Fitzrovia’s Circolo Popolare. You can also order in a huge variety of ham, blocks of Italian cheese, and their Incomparable Lemon Pie, which they claim is as high as the box will allow it to go. Order here.

Inko Nito £ £ £ £ Japanese , Korean in Soho ££££ 55 Broadwick Street

Inkonito’s baked sweet potato, spicy yuzu sour cream and chives is available for delivery. If that isn’t cause to stop everything you’re doing and order some food, we don’t know what is. Royal China Club £ £ £ £ Chinese in Marylebone ££££ 40 Baker St

Branches of Royal China all over London are open for delivery and takeaway. You should know that all the food at Royal China is great, but it’s the dim sum that we go back to again and again. Happily their Baker Street branch is delivering the full range.

Brigadiers £ £ £ £ Indian in City ££££ 1-5 Bloomberg Arcade

Usually you’d go to Brigadiers to have a little butter chicken and biriyani party but, now, Brigadiers comes to you. The decadent and delicious City restaurant is delivering its Indian barbecue all around London. All the details can be found here.

Jolene £ £ £ £ Cafe/Bakery , Brunch in Hackney , Highbury ££££ 21 Newington Green

This all-day café and bakery on Newington Green is open on a collection and takeaway basis only. It’s just 10am till 3pm for now, with baked goods, wine, and food to go on offer, but there’s talk of dinner time pick-up service coming soon.

Lina Stores – 51 Greek Street £ £ £ £ Italian in Soho ££££ 51 Greek Street

Just imagine sitting at Lina Stores counter, surrounded by pastel green and, more importantly, pasta. One day friends, one day. In the mean time, you’ll have to channel some of that Soho atmosphere into your home, via Lina Stores’ online shop. They’re delivering fresh pasta, including artichoke and truffle ravioli, as well as pizza meal kits, and loads of essentials.

Hoppers £ £ £ £ Sri Lankan in Soho ££££ 49 Frith St

Hoppers East (might just want to amend the existing caption) Hoppers has been among the very best places in town to eat delicious Sri Lankan-inspired things ever since their first spot opened in Soho. Now they have two more branches (in Marylebone and King’s Cross), as well as an east London kitchen, and all of them are open for delivery. You should definitely get involved with their bone marrow varuval, and the black pork kari. But honestly, anything you get delivered is going to make you very happy.

Sushi Atelier £ £ £ £ Japanese , Sushi in Fitzrovia ££££ 114 Great Portland Street

Always one of the best bets for reasonably priced quality sushi in the West End, Sushi Atelier is now delivering. Choose from their huge range of sushi, sashimi, and rolls, or make life easy for yourself and just select one of their seven omakase options. Order here.

Frog by Adam Handling £ £ £ £ British in Covent Garden ££££ 34-38 Southampton Street

Hame is a delivery and collection-only menu developed by Adam Handling and the team at The Frog. Whether you keep things relatively simple with sourdough and chicken butter and a pheasant pot pie that serves four to six people, or go all in with a wagyu beef tartare and a whole lobster, everything comes with full instructions for serving at home. You should also get probably also get involved with their wines and cocktails, so check out the menus here.

Endo at the Rotunda £ £ £ £ Sushi in White City ££££ 101 Wood Lane

Endo was our highest rated new restaurant of 2019, and while the 18-course omakase we’d usually recommend isn’t being served right now, you can order a premium bento box which they’re delivering throughout London. Keep an eye on their Instagram and then act quickly because they sell out fast, with a share of the proceeds going to Hospitality in Action.

Manteca £ £ £ £ Italian in Soho ££££ 58-59 Great Marlborough Street

This excellent and affordable pasta spot has now started offering a new at-home meal kit service based out of their Shoreditch sister restaurant, Smokestak. The kits contain a slab of focaccia, house salumi, and DIY pasta kits. For collection or delivery to EC and some E and N postcodes, order here.

Tram Store £ £ £ £ Clapton , Hackney ££££ 38 Upper Clapton Rd

We like Tram Store for it’s delicious brunch, and even though you can’t get that delivered, they are delivering fruit and veg boxes, eggs, freshly baked pastries and other essentials, plus a Sunday roast which you can get for £14 a serving. Place your order here.

Little Georgia ££££ 87 Goldsmiths Row

Little Georgia is one of the best places in London to eat Georgian food and now that their Hackney spot is delivering, your house is too. Get your borscht, your khachapuri, and your chashushuli here.

Lanark Coffee £ £ £ £ Cafe/Bakery in Hackney ££££ 262 Hackney Rd

Dom’s Subs AKA Impeccable Sandwiches, are delivering their pretty... - what’s another word for impeccable... excellent sandwiches around Lanark Coffee on Hackney Road. Get subs filled with spicy Thai ground chicken, ham, salami, Swiss cheese and spicy sauerkraut, and more. Order for delivery or collection here.

Suzi Tros £ £ £ £ Greek in Notting Hill ££££ 18 Hillgate Street

Suzi Tros is a fun and friendly Greek restaurant in Notting Hill serving some of our favourite meatballs in London. Those meatballs are now being delivered locally, along with other favourites from the menu like spanakopita, and pork belly souvlaki.

Mazi £ £ £ £ Greek in Notting Hill ££££ 12-14 Hillgate St

Mazi is the sister restaurant of Suzi Tros. It’s a bit more grown up, a bit more serious, a bit more expensive, and definitely one of our favourite places to eat in Notting Hill. Order from their delivery menu for a special night in.

Naughty Piglets £ £ £ £ French in Brixton ££££ 28 Brixton Water Lane

Naughty Piglets is a brilliant neighbourhood spot serving some great food and wine in Brixton. They’re only doing 40 covers a day, which means if you like the sound of dishes like BBQ pork belly with XO rice and Korean sauce, you’re going to have to keep your eye on their Instagram and place your order for the following week. And you’re going to need to move fast.

Crispin ££££ White's Row

Crispin’s an all-day restaurant in Spitalfields, but they’re limiting delivery to to breakfast and brunch for now. Options range from scrambled eggs with Berkswell on sourdough to daal, purple kale, and black turnip pickles on flatbread. They’re also delivering coffee. Order here.

Ugly Dumpling £ £ £ £ Soho ££££ 1 Newburgh Street

As well as being our quarantine nickname, Ugly Dumpling is delivering it’s new-age dumplings, frozen, with cooking instructions. Choose from fillings like satay chicken, prawn and chive, and mushroom and truffle. DM them on Instagram to place an order.

Forza Wine ££££ 133a Rye Ln

This popular Peckham hangout is taking orders for Friday night dinners for two. For £45, you get the ‘Forza Road’ concept, which includes three courses, with the main course requiring some cooking at home. You can check out the menu and order here.

Cérès ££££ 74 Green Lanes, Stoke Newington

Cérès is a Southern European restaurant in Newington Green which is now open for takeaway and delivery. They’ve got everything to make your meal special, from handcut sirloin tartare and duck breast, to fresh pappardelle and birthday cakes. Plus, they’ve got plenty of wines to choose from and their signature watermelon margarita. Order here.

Artusi £ £ £ £ Mediterranean , Italian in Peckham ££££ 161 Bellenden Rd

This popular neighbourhood Italian restaurant has some very good pasta, and meaty mains, which they’re now delivering as DIY meals to cook at home. Order their confit duck, lamb ragu, and more here.

Brunswick House Cafe ££££ 30 Wandsworth Rd.

Brunswick House in Vauxhall has recently launched Brunswick at Home where you can get their British food delivered to your door. Pick between the à la carte choices, or order a set menu dinner for two starting from £35. You can also order cocktails, beer, and keg wine pouches.

Din Tai Fung £ £ £ £ Taiwanese in Covent Garden ££££ 5-6 Henrietta St

Almost the whole Din Tai Fung’s menu is now available for delivery, from their special noodle soup with braised beef through to wontons and steamed buns. Sadly the xiao long bao aren’t on the menu for now, but their shao mai, jiao zi, and steamed buns are all available in a number of varieties.

The Coal Office ££££ 4-10 Bagley Walk Arches

The Coal Office in King’s Cross have started a Fresh Food Hub. Which means you can follow their Instagram to find out which recipe they’re going to be making tomorrow and pre-order it today by emailing [email protected]. If you’d rather make it yourself, there’s the option of having the ingredients delivered so you can follow the recipe with them.

Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte £ £ £ £ Steaks in Marylebone ££££ 120 Marylebone Ln

The London branch of steak restaurant Le Relais de Venise is famous for only having one option. It’s always been like that. You get steak. You get special sauce. You get french fries. And you get a green salad. Somethings never change. But somethings do. And now, for a limited time only - or until the pandemic is over - you can order delivery of a baguette filled with steak, sauce, and french fries. The only choices you need to make is whether you want more fries on the side and which of their four desserts you’re going to get. Order here.

Mac & Wild ££££ 65 Great Titchfield St

Mac and Wild have been making nationwide deliveries of their butcher’s supplies since early in the pandemic, but their venimoo burger kits are a newer offering. £28 gets you everything you need for four burgers made up of a beef patty, a venison patty, cheese, lettuce, gherkins, two sauces, and some mustard. Climpson & Sons £ £ £ £ Cafe/Bakery in Hackney ££££ 67 Broadway Market

The always-popular east London coffee shop is delivering ‘Brunch at Home’, a weekly changing cook-at-home series that works with excellent restaurants nearby - like Brat, The Marksman, Lardo, Som Saa - and includes coffee, plus a boozy drink.

London’s favourite Taiwanese restaurant has launched it’s own delivery service which, in true Bao style, looks and tastes fantastic. Rice Error is available from their Borough and Fitzrovia locations (with Kings Cross and Hackney incoming). The cha shao pork belly rice box is particularly mouthwatering and we’re happy to report that their famous fried chicken travels well. Very well.

The Persian spot in Soho is opening kitchens across north, south, east, west and central, to ensure that large swathes of London can enjoy their jujeh kebabs and oh-so-smooth hummus in the comfort of their own home. Check their website for details where you are.

Leroy has moved some letters about in its name (and yes, added one more) to launch Royale, a new rotisserie chicken delivery service. Half a juicy chicken, seasoned with their own blend of herbs and spices, will set you back £12. Or a whole bird with potatoes and salad to share is £38. There’s a cod’s roe side and dips like roast chicken aioli too.

Vegetarian haven Mildreds is delivering from its King’s Cross and Dalston locations. There’s a vegan Sri Lankan curry, mock duck bahn mi, heat-at-home meals, and more.

Smokestak £ £ £ £ BBQ in Shoreditch ££££ 35 Sclater St

Barbecue-season is incoming, and there’s no better place to get inspiration from then Smokestak. The Saturday-only takeaway and NE London delivery service features their famous brisket, pulled pork, spicy sausage, and more. Like all the best things in life, the sides are measured in pints, and we’d get a couple of the burnt end beans for sure.

For the sake of our dignity we’re not going to disclose how much cheese we’ve ordered from Holloway’s Provisions since lockdown began. But we are going to encourage you to do the same. Expect excellent wines, cheese, and charcuterie.

Lurra £ £ £ £ Spanish in Marylebone ££££ 9 Seymour Place

Option one: call your ex and say something along the lines of ‘so like, lockdown. Mad isn’t it? Would you be interested in marrying me for a bit?’. Option two: call 020 7724 4545 to order grilled octopus and suckling lamb shoulder from Lurra. We know which one we’d pick. This top Spanish spot in Marylebone is also delivering meat, cheesecake slices, and wine across London from their online shop.

Hakkasan ££££ 17 Bruton St

No, you’re not going to put some raw tuna on a seaweed crisp and call it dim sum. Order from high-end Chinese restaurant Hakkasan in Mayfair instead. There’s a whole Peking duck. There’s a classic steamed dim sum selection. And there’s a champagne brunch for two that’s got ‘Welcome to your isolation birthday babe’ written all over it.

Iberica ££££ 89 Turnmill St

Eating a whole leg of ibérica jamon for breakfast? Do it. The rulebook went out the window around minute six of lockdown. As well as that casual leg of jamon, Spanish restaurant Ibérica are delivering other cured meats, artisan cheeses, and frozen wild Atlantic peeled prawns from all four of their London restaurants. Frozen octopus leg? Yup, they’ve got that too.

Orasay ££££ 31 Kensington Park Road

Fried haddock sandwiches are basically the fish finger butty glow-up we never knew we needed. As well as seafood, Orasay in Notting Hill are delivering fresh, sophisticated meals like pot roast duck leg with a soy, orange, and honey sauce and burrata with wild garlic and baby peas. Crucial information: there are batched cocktails for two you should probably order as well.

Arros QD ££££ 64 Eastcastle Street

Crispy baby squid is now what we call our flatmate after they spent a little too much time out on the balcony during the good weather. But, importantly, it’s also one of the tapas dishes you’ll find on Arros’ delivery menu. They specialise in paella, there are several variations to choose from, as well as grilled octopus and plenty of wine.

Roka £ £ £ £ Japanese , Sushi in Fitzrovia ££££ 37 Charlotte St

We have three words for you. Crispy. Prawn. Maki. Fitzrovia’s sleek and sophisticated Japanese spot, Roka, is now bringing their spicy tuna maki, salmon fillet teriyaki, kimchi steamed rice, and more, to you. There are also plenty of wines and sake to get involved in.

Melabes £ £ £ £ Mediterranean in Kensington ££££ 221 Kensington High Street

Melabes is a cool and casual Kensington restaurant that specialises in traditional Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. Basically, if it goes with tahini it’s on their menu. Open seven days a week, they also have kids options, beer, and super smooth hummus. In case we weren’t clear, order the hummus.

The Compton Arms £ £ £ £ British , Pub in Islington ££££ 4 Compton Avenue

There’s something uniquely disappointing about homemade burgers. Or at least there is with ours. Which is why it’s an enormous relief to know that Four Legs are making their cheeseburger for delivery and collection from The Compton Arms. It’s available between 6pm - 10pm daily and if you’re in the delivery zone and want something meaty to your door, then slide into their DMs.

Top Cuvée £ £ £ £ Modern European , Wine Bar in Highbury ££££ 177B Blackstock Rd

Wine bar and small plates spot Top Cuvée has rebranded itself as Shop Cuvée and is offering a range of different food and drink options on their website. There’s a set meal for two for £40, a load of beers and wine, and more.

If you’re looking for classic, home-style Indian dishes like chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, and lamb korma, you’ll be hard-pressed to find better versions than the ones at Al-Noor. Located right off the 405 in Lawndale (about five minutes from LAX), this strip-mall spot is currently offering both takeout and delivery on most major delivery platforms. Be sure to throw in some garlic naan as well.

Located just a few blocks north of Al-Noor (and also Zam Zam Market), Al-Watan has found its niche on this highly competitive stretch with its mixed tandoori. Plain and simple, this is the best version in town and once you try it, you’ll wonder why you’ve ever eaten it anywhere else. With five locations spanning from Los Feliz and Westlake Village, Anarbagh has become its own mini-empire in LA and for good reason - the food is excellent. Anarkali Indian Restaurant $$$$ 7013 Melrose Ave

If you live in the Melrose/Fairfax area, Anarkali has probably been your go-to Indian spot for a while. Badmaash is one of the most popular Indian restaurants in Los Angeles and it’s easy to see why - the food is fantastic. With a menu that features dishes like chicken tikka poutine, chili cheese naan, and masala potato fries, this isn’t traditional Indian food by any means, but it’s also some of the most inventive in town. Both the Downtown and Fairfax locations are open for takeout and delivery.

Bhanu's Indian Grocery & Cuisine $ $ $ $ Indian in San Gabriel $$$$ 7246 Rosemead Blvd 7.9 /10

Bhanu’s is a family-run Indian grocery store in San Gabriel with a tiny counter in the back that’s cranking out tremendous home-style Indian food. You can order anything a la carte, but we prefer the thali plate. One entree of your choice, plus two sides, yogurt, rice, and garlic naan - all for about $12. Both takeout and delivery available.

This tiny Pakistani/Bangladeshi restaurant in Little Bangladesh is one of those places we often think about late at night (and not just because we’re very lonely). From Hyderbadi biriyani to lamb shank curry to spicy nali nihari stew, this is complex, flavor-packed food - and it’ll only take only one meal here before you also partake in said late night fantasies. You might think that an Indian fusion cafe inside a gas station is a fairly niche concept, but it’s actually the first of two on this list. As the name suggests, this tiny West LA spot is all about the frankies - Indian wraps from Mumbai. Fillings include everything from chicken tikka masala to saag paneer to fried fish. Takeout and delivery available on most major platforms.

Cardamom Indian Cuisine $$$$ 7233 Beverly Blvd

Cardamom is one of the most underrated Indian restaurants in central LA, with an excellent menu that focuses primarily on dishes from the southwestern state of Kerala. Think lamb biryani, madras curry, and bhindi bhajee (spiced okra). The entire menu is available for takeout and delivery on most major platforms, but if you order through their website, you get a 10% discount.

Electric Lotus $$$$ 1739 N Vermont Ave.

Electric Lotus in Los Feliz has solid food across-the-board, but is probably best known for being one of the only Indian restaurants in town with Impossible meat on its menu (check for available - it often sells out). They’re on all major delivery platforms, but if you order through their website, you get 15% off.

India's Oven $ $ $ $ Indian in Brentwood $$$$ 11645 Wilshire Blvd. 7.3 /10

Located on the second floor of a giant Brentwood office building, India’s Oven is a longtime neighborhood standby with an array of very good vegetarian dishes. The channa masala, dal makhani (lentil-based curry), and aloo gobi (spiced cauliflower) are all stand-outs. Takeout and delivery available on most major options.

India’s Restaurant is located on the Los Feliz/Silver Lake border and has built an almost cult-like following over the years. Like many places on this list, this family-run restaurant sticks primarily to classic dishes, but does them all incredibly well. The lamb vindaloo is a favorite. IndiMex Eats $$$$ 1106 N Cahuenga Blvd

This tiny Indian/Mexican fusion cafe inside a Hollywood car wash is about as LA as it gets, but it isn’t just a gimmick - the food is good, too. The menu is full of classic Indian dishes, but IndiMex’s strength lies in the “Meat Lovers” section, where you’ll find chicken tikka burritos, quesadillas with masala sauce, and tacos covered in chutney. Takeout and delivery available through their website.

Lal Mirch $$$$ 11138 Ventura Blvd

If you’re looking for good Indian food in Studio City, Lal Mirch is our favorite in the neighborhood. The colorful, family-run spot on Ventura has every staple in the book and everything is currently available for takeout and delivery.

Order delivery Mayura Restaurant $ $ $ $ Indian in Culver City $$$$ 10406 Venice Blvd 8.1 /10

Located on Venice Blvd. in Culver City, Mayura often gets overlooked, but this family-run spot continues to serve some of our favorite Indian food in LA. The menu is massive, so concentrate on the Southern Indian specialties like Kerala fish curry, cheese uthappam (rice pancake), and the Kerala special avail (curried vegetables). Takeout and delivery available on most major apps.

Samosa House $$$$ 11510 W Washington Blvd

Open since 1979, Samosa House is an LA classic and its original location in Culver City West makes it convenient for just about anyone on the Westside. Their entire menu is available for takeout and delivery, but if you’re looking to pick-up some ingredients to cook at home, Samosa House also happens to be home to Bharat Bazaar, one of our favorite Indian grocery stores in town.

This family-run spot in Westchester has good food, plenty of options, and prices that won’t break the bank (almost all entrees fall under $15). In other words, it’s an ideal midweek quarantine dinner. Takeout and delivery available on most major platforms.

Order delivery Tumbi $ $ $ $ Indian in Santa Monica $$$$ 115 Santa Monica Blvd 8.2 /10

Tumbi’s modern street food is some of our favorite Indian on the Westside, and right now, you can get it for takeout and delivery on most major platforms. The patiala chicken, papadum and chutneys, and toothfish masala are musts.

Order delivery Zam Zam Market $ $ $ $ Pakistani in Hawthorne $$$$ 13649 Inglewood Ave. 8.5 /10

We don’t want to overstate it, but this tiny marketplace in Hawthorne makes a biryani rice that changed our lives, and the fact that you can now get it for takeout or delivery is a true quarantine silver lining. Stop what you’re doing and order now.
