do you have any headcanons about Inho and Junho from Squid Game? 👀
I'm afraid to admit I don't really have headcanons for any of my fandoms. But I especially don't for Inho and Junho.
Even though I'm in love with them, and everything about their story, I honestly haven't given them that much thought outside of what canon has provided (which is essentially zero lol).
But we know Inho is older. Maybe even significantly older, if we're to assume the characters are the same age as the actors (52 and 30, respectively). At the very least Inho was a much older brother, and judging by how much Junho fights to find him, it's likely they had a good relationship. There's probably a lot of hero worship on Junho's part. A lot of protectiveness on Inho's. And a lot of pride and love between them.
It's obvious they weren't estranged, because Junho seemed to know fairly immediately that Inho had gone missing. I think he mentions the number of days when he's on the phone with his mom, but the details escape me at the moment. But they were clearly in contact. Inho going missing was a shock, and immediately out of the ordinary.
Inho's past is obviously the biggest mystery in this entire series. What got him into the games, what was his life like after winning, what turned him into the ruthless (albeit reluctant, in my opinion) front man that we see in the show.
The reaction of each of them when they see the other for the first time is heartbreaking. There's something in Inho's body language that tells me he immediately recognized Junho's voice when he was with that VIP. Junho's shock when Inho took off his mask. Inho's guilt and pain (not just physical) when he's tending to his gunshot wound after Junho fell off the cliff (fell, not died, that's imporant).
Junho gave one of his kidneys to Inho for christ's sake. There's a BOND there. They legitimately love each other. They're soulmates. And maybe that's my headcanon. They're each other's person, and have been their whole lives.
They grew up fighting for and with each other, and it's obvious they would die doing the same. They're soulmates.

the file claims Inho was fired for bribery (I wonder if this is true) and he is 16 years older than Junho
Ah, thanks! It’s been a minute since I watched the show so I couldn’t remember if those details were ever provided.
I’m hoping we get a lot of Inho backstory in season 2. I want to know everything. I want some Hwang Bros flashbacks too. I want to see them interact in the before times. I need it.
