Comet was trained to be invisible. He was trained to walk silently, trained to never make a noise, to stand quietly in the corner until he was needed by his owner. Every single step he takes was carefully programmed and then beaten into him until he knew how to behave perfectly. Every single memory he has was built to make him into the best dog he could be. And yet, it’s these skills that he’ll use one final time to disobey his owner.

He doesn’t make a noise when he sneaks across the hallway to the coat closet. Already, he’s broken a rule. They’re not supposed to leave the pet room after Hunter puts them to bed, but he snuck out, taking care so the door didn’t creak on his way out.

The next rule he breaks is so much easier. He moves silently to the coat closet and opens the door, reaching in to grab one of Hunter’s jackets. It’s a long wool waistcoat, and it’ll dwarf Star, but Comet knows it’s an expensive jacket so it must be warm. He won’t get far if Star gets too cold, and he might need her to look out for him.

His heart races, but not once does he make a noise. Silence is the only thing in Hunter’s hallway. The pet goes perfectly unnoticed, unheard. His handler would be proud. It takes a lot of work to take the noise out of something, but here he is. The silent Guard Dog.

Hunter will regret having Comet in the background. He saw everything, had hours and hours to memorize every detail of this place. He knows the layout more than he knows his own hands. Tomorrow morning, their owner will come in to hurt Star more, but they’ll be long gone.

Hopefully.

It’s been so different since Sunny died. Star…what’s happened to her…it turns his stomach. He might have trained him to be quiet, but he wasn’t trained to watch and be okay with what happens.

He loves her. That’s supposed to be a word for humans, but it’s what he feels for her. And that love is why they can’t stay in this godforsaken place anymore.

Hopefully.

The door to the pet room opens just as silently as it did before, and Comet can’t help but stare at the beautiful Romantic in the center of the room. Her too skinny body is sprawled out on the sheets, covered by a thin pink slip. It’s barely enough fabric to cover her sensitive parts. Bruises and cuts mark her pale skin, not an inch that doesn’t have an injury or a scar. When Comet stares at the bruise on her cheekbone, all he feels is rage. He wants to slam Mr. Bianchi into a wall. He wants to tear his throat out with his teeth. He wants to break every single bone in that man’s body and he wants him to feel the pain that his Star feels every day.

He wants to murder Mr. Bianchi like that man murdered Sunny. And he knows it makes him a bad pet and he knows he should be put down for these thoughts but he can’t help it. She’s gorgeous. She’s suffering. She needs to be safe.

If he has to watch Mr. Bianchi beat her again, he’ll lose his mind.

Comet gently kneels next to Star, running his fingers over her bruised skin. She’s so pretty…she’s always been so pretty but it’s not his Star if she’s not spitting fire at everyone who comes close to her. He signed up for this, they both did, but this…

She has a black eye. Comet didn’t notice that before.

He wraps her in the jacket and lifts her up, holding her close to his chest. One last thing. He already took his collar off, but now he works on hers, finally popping the latch free. Her neck is red and scarred and he feels like he should look away, but he doesn’t.

He walks with the girl held in his arms, and he stops right at the front door of this godforsaken mansion. Behind him, he was forced to beat Star on his first day here. To his left, one of the guests at a party was slapping her around. To the right, Hunter Bianchi killed Sunny, and with him, a part of Star died too.

They signed up for this, but Comet can’t take it anymore. Maybe it makes him a bad pet. Maybe he should be scared or sorry or maybe he should just turn around.

He opens the door, steps out into the cool night air, and doesn’t look back.

She’ll be okay. Tomorrow they’re going to be in a new place, tired and cold and hungry, but he’s got her. Hunter can’t hurt them anymore.

Comet would run and fight forever to keep her safe.

hello friends <3 it's been a while since i posted a plotting call / interest post so i finally sat down today and wrote (more like assembled) plots / threads ideas i've been wanting to do. if you're interested in any of those LIKE THIS POST and i'll send you a message. just an important observation: we don't need to actually plot out most of these (some require working out details but that's it), if you want to write that plot with me just tell me which one and which muse you're interested and i'll write you a starter! so yeah basically, if you like any of those: * like the post * tell me which plot and which muse you want me to use (or which muse you think would work from your end so i can figure out who to use!) * i'll write you that starter

please do not worry about "making it fair" or anything like that, most of these plots are for my males and they're actual muses i want to develop so don't feel pressured to only choose one or all that.

on that same note, do not ask for a plot with one my girls just because you want one from my men. i honestly prepfer you pick plots you actually want to do instead of doubling threads and shit like that.

a plot where he’s a little too old for her but she doesn’t care. he thinks she’s immature and too reckless with her behavior. but she’s hellbent on proving him otherwise. so she applies for the position of his new personal assistant and he can’t help but appreciate her determination. of course he hires her but he does nothing short of giving her a hard time because this is her first job and she has no idea what she’s doing. but crap he finds her crying in the bathroom and his first instinct is to hold her and comfort her. he can’t believe he’s the cause of this and wises up fast. also maybe it has to do with his now urge to protect her. based on the trade by ki stephens: the hockey team has a tradition of trading dates during the end of season dinner and i invite you and make my best friend invite your roommate cause i wanna get with her but we actually start getting close and i fall in love with you but at the night of the dinner one of the guy spills everything (for benny or gael)

based on the deal by elle kennedy: i'll pretend i'm your boyfriend if you agree to tutor me and of course we fall in love (for benny, keegan or dane)

a frat boy who’s like every normal frat boy. he drinks too much, he parties, and he sleeps with random girls but everything changes when he’s around the girl from back home. the girl that really matters to him. he doesn’t want to admit that he likes her a lot but, that’s what it comes down to when one of the guys in his frat house wants to hook up with her and she’s perfectly willing. Hello!

So, 'Gary? Gaaary.' is a fic in a series I've been (very slowly) working on about Fallout 3. There's a Vault in Fallout 3, Vault 108, where all of the living residents are clones of this one man named Gary. The only word they can say is 'Gary', and in-game it's kind of hilarious!

The Garys are hostile in the game, but 'Gary? Gaaary.' is about a Gary clone who ends up following the main character of the series around as a companion.

Here's an excerpt!

"Gary?" Kenickie stared down at the clone and blinked. "You're not attacking me?" he asked, lowering his pistol. The clone shook his head. "Gary. Gaaary." He stood up slowly and held his empty hands out. His intent was clear, he didn't want to fight. "You're not going to attack me?" "Gary."

As for 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia (But He Wasn't Expecting the Zombie Apocalypse)', that one's about the 4-player zombie apocalypse game Left 4 Dead 2, which takes place in Georgia.

The premise is basically just, "What if Nick (one of the Survivors) was part demon, and Ellis (another survivor) was a monster hunter?" and it came from someone else mentioning something that happened in one of their games.

And here's an excerpt of that under the Read More! (Warning for mentions of gore, it's a zombie apocalypse after all!)

"Wow. Seriously, Ellis, you really outdid yourself this time." Flames licked the floor and the side of the car from the gas can Ellis had blown up as Nicolas Bianchi spoke, calmly standing in the middle of the mini inferno. He dropped the remnants of the gas can and stepped forward, out of the flames that seemed to almost part before him. "Oh, save it," he muttered as Ellis crossed himself. "It's not going to do anything and you just look stupid doing that." The gambler's eyes burned red, the only indicator that he was anything but human. Ellis stared for a bit, and Nick could only imagine what was going through his mind. Probably some prayer, if he was as God-fearing as the rest of this shitty town. But then Ellis came running up to him and shoved, sending him reeling straight back into the dying fire as a Hunter landed where he'd been. The mechanic raised his shotgun and slammed its stock into the leaping zombie's jaw, stunning it and sending it sprawling. "Holy shit, Nick, that was damn close!" he exclaimed as he leveled the twin barrels at its face. A quick pull of the triggers and both barrels emptied into its skull, sending bits of blood, brain, and bone across the ground. "You alright?" he asked as he held out a hand. This time, it was Nick's turn to stare. Never before had his, for lack of a better word, demonic nature been ignored in favor of saving his life, especially not in the South. "Yeah, I'm fine, kid..." He accepted the hand anyways and let Ellis pull him to his feet. "Why aren't you, you know..." "Runnin' and screamin' about brimstone an' hellfire?" At Nick's nod, he shrugged. "Iunno, I guess ya just ain't that scary. Always thought demons'd look like the ones in Doom, but you just look like a man. An' I was always told demons was evil, but you just been helpin' us since we met. An' ma always wanted me to think fer myself. She'd be mighty disappointed if I treated ya like a freak fer bein' what y'are." He gave Nick a slightly uneasy smile, in which Nick could almost see a trace of fear. "Besides, man, it's a zombie apocalypse. Can't choose yer fellow survivors, ya know? An' it's always better to get along with those yer survivin' with."

I just wanna share my OCs today :) You can find them and their artwork on my refsheet (NSFW warning there) but here's the basics and some images.

I try to use only my own art for all of these but I HAD to share the Amea x Zant commission because it is one of my absolute faves. I scoured my entire back log of bought commissions because they didn't put their name on the art but I think it was this person?? If not them then... they may have deleted their account from where I bought it.

Saphira Nightingale, my main tippy top OC

A shapeshifter and the last of her kind. I use her for lots of original stories as well as series where I don't have a dedicated character. The rule of thumb is "if she has clothes, it's an AU".

Mako Bianchi, Saphira's ex

A reaper that I used to pair with Saphira. She is now with other people and he is back to being the guy I draw sexy because I crave men. It's a toss up whether he's a skeleton or an elven winged man at any given moment.

Valus Nesrine

An incubus I used for my original novel. You can read about him there and in a short story, but they're both pretty naughty hahaha. He's charming and sweet. I love writing him.

Thorne

A mothman and the focus of some more stories. He's a bastard. But a sexy bastard. Honestly, that's all he has going for him.

Tarine

A bio android OC for Dragon Ball. She's mostly just there for pairing with Piccolo, lmao. But she did have some cool fights in the server where she was made.

Majin Mani

Same boat as Tarine, but for more of a "I like messing with these guys" vibe than the former. Mani was made for Dragon Ball Xenoverse so she is a time cop (ranger? whatever they were called)

Amea

A mercenary in Twilight Princess. I have her for an AU specifically but she is my Zant lover OC. She is half Twili and half Hylian. Does that work? Not really, but I really loved the idea.

Arin Ferris (and all of her Pokemon)

Arin is an Ex Rocket (which placed her at around 30 at the time so that's just her age now) and now owns a daycare off the coast of Hoenn. I like giving her the poison aesthetic but she doesn't use too many poison types.

Lia (Alix) Bech

A keyblade wielder who kinda sucks at fighting. She far prefers staying out of fights. Yeah she's just here to bang the organization. But she also has identity issues :D

Pire

More of an "everyday" OC for Zelda. I use her in all other Zelda games while Amea is for Twilight Princess only. She is a tech whiz and she makes mechs, hahah. And this was before TOTK was even announced!

Celeste Wade

An OC for Final Fantasy 9. She's a noble in Treno and she captures monsters to sell as pets and manor security. So she packs quite a punch without lookin like she can! I haven't designed her monster hunting get up yet.

Boriell

You know Lawachurls from Genshin Impact? Well I didn't like the game, but I loved these guys <3 So I made one for myself. He's the only remnant of my Genshin knowledge.

Velka, the Arcta Knight

My Kirby OC. She is a bad guy and I use her to antagonize everyone in the game. She has a vendetta against Meta Knight. And she got her powers illegitimately from Nightmare.

Thalia Vanfin, another favorite

A fishwoman bar owner/bounty hunter. Yep! Another one for shipping. But I love writing her encounters and drawing her being cute with people. Not always romantically but mostly romantically.

Fatei

Monster man with mask face and tentacles~ He's got a human form since he was turned into a beast like everyone else. But I usually only draw his monster form.

Dia "Dragoon" Chambers

A depressed college student who uses the Dark World as escapism from her life. Anything that makes her feel like she doesn't have to go back home. She comes with some friends! Laguna the Rogue and Phish!

Laguna the Rogue

Phish does not have any character traits beyond "is an Addison", but here's Laguna! She was originally made for an Undertale AU but now she's just a crazy ass monster and the only one looking out for Dia.

“No, you stupid bitch, that’s not what I—“ Hunter sighs in frustration, slamming his fist into the doorframe. “Fuck! Don’t you dare hang up on me, I will fire your ass so fast and make sure your little bonuses aren’t enough to get you through the week!”

All of Comet’s senses are going into overdrive at how angry Hunter is, and he keeps one hand on Star’s back, a snarl stuck in his throat. Owner. Angry. Danger. He knows how it works. Mr. Bianchi has something bad happen at work, and he gets mad, and the bonded pair of pretty, breakable Romantics become his outlet. Speaking of…Sunny is kneeling next to Mr. Bianchi, visibly shaking with each time their owner raises his voice.

He shouldn’t be that close, not when Mr. Bianchi is so angry. The Romantics are gorgeous things, and Comet doesn’t understand why they’re starved, especially Star. His heart warms as he looks down at her, despite how tense she is. He loves her, but the bond between her and Sunny…

He loves her and he protects both of them when Mr. Bianchi’s guests get too handsy. That’s all he can do.

Another shout from Mr. Bianchi has all three pets violently flinching. “Are you really that dumb? Do you understand how fucking basic this is? A goddamn baby could do it. My fucking pets could do it! Even the brainless mutt of a Guard Dog.”

It’s not supposed to hurt. But it does, and Comet tries to keep the red off his face, knowing it’ll only enrage the man.

“Maybe you should sell yourself to WRU. I think you’d be better as a Romantic than my employee.” Hunter rolls his eyes. “Don’t trust a woman to do anything that requires the smallest bit of thinking.”

A particularly vicious kick to the doorframe has Sunny whimpering, his blue eyes full of fear, and Comet can tell that Sunny is doing his best not to pull away.

He doesn’t envy that about the Romantics, all the training so they stay in place when a hand wraps around their necks and squeezes.

Comet gets to pull away. Sunny stays still like a good boy, and Star gets beat into the ground for daring to move. He can feel it now, how she wants to run to the boy and save him. He keeps his hand on her back. Don’t move, or he’ll make me hurt you and that hurts me too.

“Oh, don’t tell me that I’m sexist, sweetheart, I got two Romantics and they’re different genders…I mean, yeah, I treat the girl worse cause she’s a fucking bitch! Just like you, sweetheart. Awh, you want to file a complaint against me? Did you forget who you work for? Yeah, you should be fucking scared!” Hunter punches the wall again and recoils in pain. “Fuck! Listen, you dumb bitch…”

Star’s head snaps up and her back straightens, taking a position of attention, and Ray’s heart drops when Mr. Bianchi notices.

His smile is amused at first, but out of nowhere, his face twists with rage and he grabs an empty beer bottle, lobbing it at her head.

There’s no time to prevent it from happening, and all Comet can do is watch. Star yelps as the bottle smashes into the side of her head, glass scattering everywhere. A few shards embed themselves into her face and the rest fall to the floor.

Comet feels a surge in his chest, the need to protect her from Mr. Bianchi, but he’s powerless. If he does anything that he wasn’t ordered to, it’ll only get worse.

Star picks the largest shard out of her face and throws it to the floor, a few drops of blood falling with it. Comet keeps his hand on her. Don’t move. Please, Star, don’t move.

You’re still pretty even with glass in your face and that makes me nervous.

“The dog thought I was talking to her. I’m not done with you, though. You fix your mistake now! I don’t fucking care if you don’t sleep for weeks.”

There’s a brief pause before Hunter gets quiet—a dangerous sort of quiet that sends a chill down Comet’s spine. “Say that again.”

It’s the eye of the storm and Comet knows tonight is only going to get worse.

“You fucked up that badly that we lost a fucking buyer?” Hunter’s hand fists in Sunny’s hair, drawing a whine from the boy.

Both Star and Comet are tense, and he’s ready to grab her and make sure she doesn’t do anything stupid.

Hunter gives Sunny a condescending shake while he growls into his phone. “Listen. I’m done with you and your smartass mouth. I’ll give you ten minutes. Pack your shit and start running. Ten minutes before I send someone after you to make sure you don’t fuck anything else up. Got that, bitch?” There’s true venom in his voice as he hisses out, “I’m angry? You’re goddamn right I’m angry! You just cost me thirty thousand dollars!”

His grip tightens on Sunny’s hair and he lifts the boy up, slamming him full force into the wall.

There’s a crunch. There’s a sickening crunch and then silence. Sunny falls to the ground, his body twisted like a puppet. His eyes flutter open only to flutter closed just as quickly.

Comet doesn’t realize what the ear piercing scream is until he feels Star jolt, wanting to race forward.

He holds her back. He holds her back and he knows, something deep inside him knows the boy didn’t make it, isn’t breathing anymore.

Star feels it. She’s curled up and screaming, pushing against Comet with all her might but not going anywhere.

Mr. Bianchi is quiet too, but he keeps the phone to his ear as he bends down and presses two fingers to the inside of his neck. His cold, angry eyes lock onto Comet after a minute of poking and prodding with no response from Sunny.

The boy doesn’t move, his neck bent at a cruel and unnatural angle. All the light has been sucked out of the room and Star is still screaming, clawing at the floor and Comet can feel her grief and anger. Her pain is so great that it clogs up the air and leaves an acidic taste on his tongue.

Mr. Bianchi breathes out, his fingers still pressed against Sunny’s neck. “Comet, get her out of here.”

He can’t move, his eyes are locked onto Sunny’s…body.

“Comet, now!” Mr. Bianchi roars. “Get that stupid dog out of here and make her stop screaming!”

The yelling snaps Comet back to reality, lets the white walls come crashing down and remind him that he needs to follow orders. But more importantly, as he picks up a screaming, shaking Star, he feels a pang deep in his chest. He can’t lose both of them, and Mr. Bianchi seems drunk and angry enough to lash out at Star and kill her too.

He can’t lose both the people he lives for. He was trained to keep both of them in line and with both of them gone, what would he do?

With both of them gone, what would happen to the warmth that blooms inside him when he sees them smile?

Mr. Bianchi is still talking on the phone, still talking about his work, and Comet feels himself get mad. He’s a good dog, he knows he is, but he wants to lunge and rip out Mr. Bianchi’s throat, watch the red drip across the hardwood floor.

Sunny is dead, so he doesn’t. Instead, he does what he can and holds Star close, carrying her up the stairs and being careful not to jar the glass still stuck in her face.

Mr. Bianchi is still talking like he didn’t just kill Sunny, like in a split second he didn’t just rip a bonded pair apart.

Like Star’s heart didn’t rip out of her chest the second Sunny was killed.

She’s an incoherent mess by the time they’re back in the pet room, and it’s scaring Comet. Star isn’t the one who acts like this, she’s not the one who falls apart. He gently sets her on the floor before heading to the bathroom to grab the med kit, her sobs echoing around him.

He sits on the floor and gently brings her head into his lap while he works at removing the glass with tweezers.

“He’s g-g-gone…” Star stammers out, her chest heaving. “Sir killed him…he killed Sunny…killed me too…Comet, it hurts, this can’t be happening…”

All that only confirms Comet’s suspicions. She feels his pain like it’s her own, and with him gone, she’s falling apart. He runs his hand through her hair, and the other finishes pulling glass from her face.

Star shudders, gasping for air. “I’m dying, I can’t…I can’t do this, I need him back!”

Comet doesn’t know what to do. He can’t make it better but he doesn’t like watching her suffer. He pulls her into his lap, pressing her back against his chest. “Do you want to sleep?” he murmurs, arms wrapped around her waist.

She can’t stop crying, a seemingly endless stream of tears falling down her scarred face. “M-make it stop…I see him dying…why would Sir do that? I n-needed Sunny to survive and now he’s gone! I l-loved him…he was the good one, he was always the good one and this is my fault.”

He’s not supposed to talk much, but he hasn’t cared about that rule for a while. “You didn’t do anything wrong,” he whispers into her hair.

Star scratches at her arms, her whole body shaking like Mr. Bianchi had come at her with the taser. “You gotta bring him back, Comet. You need to.”

A sob gets stuck in Comet’s throat and he can’t push it down before the sound escapes. “I can’t, Star, please stop hurting yourself.” He was made for violence and at the end of the day, when all the light is gone, it’s the only thing that makes sense. He puts Star in a chokehold, feeling tears spill down his cheeks. “G-goodnight, Star.”

And then, once she’s limp in his arms and he can finally let go, he whispers, “I loved both of you and I can’t lose you too.”

The last time Comet cried was in the Facility, being beaten with a baton for misbehaving. He’s a good Guard Dog now, and good Guard Dogs don’t cry, but he’s not a good Guard Dog. He failed to protect the bondeds.

Maybe Mr. Bianchi bought him not to protect them, but at some point, that changed. He curls himself over Star’s body, sobbing pathetically. He lives to protect them and he failed.

He loved them both, but their Sunshine is gone.

Sunny has gone and taken all the light with him.

The dollmaker found himself in a Duo Hunters match, they were 5 ciphers down and he hadn't seen his duo, the hunted, since he entered the waiting room.

Henry was surrounded, trying to chair anyone would just conclude in double the flare guns he was recieveng at the moment and his excitement was on coldown for atleast another minute but, there was a moment...A moment where most survivors had scattered? He could finally chair the one survivor he had managed to take down, as he ballooned them he felt a burning pain, he was shot by no flaregun, and no survivor. The dollmaker was struck by the shotgun of John Doe, the other hunter held no expression as he saw how Henry's back bleed an abnormal amount, it was a matter of seconds before the dollmaker would collapse because no-one, no matter how "enhanced" his body might be, he was still a mortal and no mortal can tolerate the pain of getting shotguned. Jonh Doe just, stared before throwing his weapon over his shoulder and muttering as he walked away.

"Giovanni tenía razón, hijo de mami el wn.."

It was a difficult match to say the least. The survivors just seemed to gather around him, and the other hunter was nowhere to be found...Hell! What was even happening? Why was the other imbecile who was matched with him not doing anything? The worst case scenario was that they simply gave up and left Henry to take care of that match by himself!

But...At final...These flare guns stopped, and the survivors seemed to go to decode...Well, maybe to get more points to get more flare guns, yes - but it at least gave him some time - and he finally managed to get one! Getting them balloned instantly, a big smile was in his face behind his mask...Still 6 ciphers left as they were too busy harassing him, so he had a chance!

However...He just felt this burning sensation at his back, and it didn't take too long for him to finally understand what happened - letting the survivor go to the floor again, he put one of his hands there, feeling the blood coming out - and, as he finally looked behind, there he was..."John Doe"...At least, that was what people called him.

(˘˘(◉ᴗ◉)˘˘) > "...Oh, so this is what happened."

He gave no reaction in his voice, even if it hurted like hell, the dollmaker would not be giving the other man any satisfaction in hearing the pain in his voice. It took only some seconds until John could hear some steps behind him...And the carving knife from Henry just going down his back as well.

(˘˘(◉ᴗ◉)˘˘) > "So you were helping those filthy survivors, huh?...No wonder...A dumb, violent and disgusting animal like you could not do anything good anyway...So, allow me to do the same for you...Dog."

Alexis’ wedding promises to be the event of the summer with lots of scrutiny, so the mayor’s team hires Maggie to join the bridal party and help keep everything on track. But no one can know that Maggie is a hired bridesmaid, so she is introduced as Alexis’ old friend Maisie. Unfortunately, Henry Whittington (Massey), an ambitious local reporter assigned to the society story is sniffing around hoping to get close to the mayor for a scoop on the pending development of local park land. To pull off her assignment, Maggie must coordinate three unhelpful bridesmaids and keep Henry focused on the wedding while hiding her identity, even as she begins to grow closer to him.

A Pinch of Portugal Starring: Heather Hemmens and Luke Mitchell Premieres: Saturday, April 22 When a celebrity chef walks off his show, prep cook Anna (Hemmens) must step into the spotlight and make the show her own, with the help of her Aussie cameraman (Mitchell) and Portuguese location scout.

The Spin Cycle (working title) Starring: Erin Cahill and Marco Grazzini Premieres: Saturday, April 29 Hazel Miller (Cahill) is a top publicist in New York City looking to build her empire. Diego Vasquez (Grazzini) is a top MLB pitcher who froze during Game 7 of the World Series. He also happens to be the guy who shattered Hazel’s heart in high school. When Hazel is tasked with spinning Diego’s image, it might be her biggest challenge professionally, and personally, as she takes him back to their hometown in Ohio to deal with what they've both left behind.

As Dawn begins to focus on the good, her faith is renewed, and her life takes a positive turn. Thanks to the support of Dawn’s church community and the encouragement by Ben (Marks), who recently came into her life, the blessing bracelets help take her down a path she never could have imagined.

Spring Breakthrough (Mahogany movie) Starring: Keesha Sharp, Demetrius Grosse, Rhyon Nicole Brown and Akono Dixon Premieres: Sunday, April 30 Single mother Monica Rollins (Sharp) excitedly waits for her daughter, Vivian (Brown), to come home for spring break, their annual tradition. Days before, after years of tireless dedication to her job, Monica is unceremoniously fired. To make matters worse, Monica is dealt with a second blow when Vivian announces her surprise engagement to Shawn (Dixon), someone Monica didn't even know existed and travels to The Gulf Shores for the engagement celebration.
