Polaris and Magneto

Why don’t people appreciate how sick Lorna Dane is as a character, I mean most people appreciate that Magneto is one of the most powerful mutants of all time and she’s his daughter. They both have a messed up relationship for sure, but at the end of the day he’s her dad and she’s his child and that means something to them both. They have both spent years pining for family, him for his lost daughter Anya while Lorna lost her parents young and has had the worst relationships with men because deep down she really just wants to be loved. Yet because of all their loss and trauma, and despite being the exact thing they so desperately want, they cannot get past their own issues to actually have the relationship they want. The tragedy of it all.

Reminder that Wandavision and House of M were not “girlboss” moments for Wanda

Those were two stories about grief and trauma but they were also stories about hope and moving forward in times of grief and pain

Wanda wasn’t a “badass” (even though she definitely had her moments) she was someone who had extreme power that she couldn’t control and she was also someone who had suffered tragedy after tragedy and was discriminated against (in the comics specifically) for being a mutant for the majority of her life and all she wanted was to have a family
