Hello! I'd like to quickly introduce myself, step back from my usual Rain World content, and take this chance to advertise rant about my current project. You can call me Snicker, she/they. I'm an artist and aspiring game developer.

Me, a few friends, and volunteers, are working on making a game called Second Nature. Second Nature is a horror creature survival game where you can play as a variety of custom designed creatures, ranging from the smallest fliers to large behemoths, and everything in-between. Be aware, there are more things within the shadows of the trees than just you. You can look forwards to keeping your hunger and thirst bar full by hunting down other players and exploring a variety of maps set in different biomes. Complete quests to unlock skills and abilities that may give you the upper hand against other players. Customize your creature and stand out from your friends with purchasable skins. Unlock creature species the more you play, and find everything is not as it seems.

Overall, Second Nature is a huge passion project of mine, and I'd love to see it come to fruition. The game is being made on Roblox (although, who knows, maybe we'll go past there and onto Steam), yet we are committed to building a warm community and high quality experience. Detailed models, accurate animations, and expansive maps.

Quality calls for funds, and unsurprisingly, these things are all pretty expensive. I'd love to move away from volunteer work as soon as possible and compensate my friends for their brilliant work. Because of such, I'd appreciate any reblogs to help spread the word of my ambition. The discord link is below, feel free to join if this piques your interest. All donations are accepted and you can find Donation Shirts in our Roblox group under the name First Life, a link is provided within the discord server's announcement channel. We are always looking for more volunteers (scripters especially). We hope you'll stick with us on our journey, as its a long and slow one.

First horror survival game I was introduced to..

In fourth or fifth grade my best friend’s (almost 20 years later, still a bestie) grandma bought her Haunting Ground,m for her birthday or something, because the cover had a pretty girl and a dog on the cover.

Needless to say, her grandma didn’t know ANYTHING about the game she purchased for her elementary-school granddaughter 😂 there are some…erm… less-than-favorable themes to be exposing to minors.

Even so, my friend and I played it often and her little brother watched us play it (he had nightmares for a good while after, their momma was big mad), but I eventually got my own copy about a year later and I remember calling her to tell her I finally bucked up and got past the first boss (the game was scary af, y’all. She and I spent a lot of time on it though didn’t get very far) and then eventually I beat the game. I played it numerous times after that, unlocking more and more of the game modes, special outfits and jewelry that provided certain perks in combat. I love this game. It was the start of it all, my love of horror/survival games. I’d played Tetris, Frogger, Pac-Man World etc on the PlayStation 1 up until then but playing and loving Haunting Ground really kind of showed me who I was and the horror/survival games I’d later love to play. This game will always have a special place in my heart 😌✨💛
