i originally started this just a few days before janice burgess passed away. if you have been following me for a while, you'd know that the backyardigans is still one of my all time favorite shows to this day: a major brainworm ive had since i was first popped out the womb.

she had such a huge hand in me and my siblings childhoods outside of backyardigans, as well, and i cant understate how much it means to me to see a black woman have such a major role in various popular animated franchises.

RIP to one of my greatest animation inspos, ESPECIALLY when it comes to children's entertainment. the fact that mrs. burgess passed on the day before my birthday hurts especially, so i dedicate this drawing to her! i would not be who i am w/o these goobers, so thank you

I have been paying 2 to 5 hundred dollars a month on student loans since 2009, yes even during the pandemic I was paying $300 a month, to pay off this fucking debt. the least I ever paid in student loans was $200, and for probably about 5 years I was paying $492 a MONTH, while only making about $1000 a month because I live in a low income area. Do you know how much fucking stress and bullshit I’ve gone through to pay off this education, one which I haven’t even USED, really, because I graduated into a recession and couldn’t afford to do internships, and so all I could fucking find was retail and factory work, because no employer wants to hire someone who only has that shit on their resume to work in their office, like fucking.

GOD. I NEVER EVEN HAVE HAD A CHANCE to use my goddamn bachelor’s degree. and I’m STILL paying for that and the certification I got through fucking Rasmussen (WORTHLESS. DO NOT go to Rasmussen they’re a fucking rip off)

I just. I need that fucking application up YESTERDAY so I can discharge this goddamn albatross

For all the talk about how this pain, and suffering, and blood will be worth it. How it will lead to glory and fame and all the hurt will mean something. I want you to know that it won't. Most of us don't make it, our minds fall apart with our bodies while we starve. We push ourselves past limits that are not meant to budge for just a flicker of notice, a moment of attention. Doing the same things and expecting different results is the definition of insanity and yet, it is all I have ever done.
