Hey y'all! We're here to catch you up to speed on current events within the Everglade Warren:

Here they are - my rough Hollyleaf designs! They’re mostly just where I’ve put my ideas of her design, and I’m not SUPER happy with it, but it’ll do for now!
I also have the individual designs, which will be shown at the along with the summaries. Going from left to right, organised by height:
- WindClan
Her name would be Hollytuft due to her the fur on her head. Her name is the one I’m least confident with, but I struggled with WindClan and thought it was cute (I am aware that there was someone later on named Hollytuft, but that’s besides the point). She has significantly shorter fur, longer legs, and a longer, thinner tail, as well as long ears to sort of represent rabbits. The part inspired by her leader was the additional leg patterns. I also thought her eye pattern should be moved to represent wind.
- ThunderClan
Her name would remain Hollyleaf. Her design is the one I’ve had over the years, only adjusted slightly. The back pattern is similar to the one in my Firestar design. I made her a bit lighter because I thought that would represent ThunderClan a bit more, you know? Not a ton to say about this one because I adjusted things from this - she has moderate amounts of fluff, a bit more well-built, rounded edges. She’s my girl :)
- ShadowClan
Her name would be changed to Hollybranch due to her spikiness, I suppose. My idea for ShadowClan cats (besides them being very grey-scaled) is that they’ve got pretty short snouts? I think that’s because my design for Blackstar has always had him with a shorter snout, and I think leaders portray the main traits of their clans. Anyways, from Blackstar’s personal design has come Holly’s little dot at the edge of her eye pattern. She has smaller paws, too!
- RiverClan
Name changed to Hollyberry, with Leopardstar’s leopard pattern, of course. I think RiverClan cats have larger snouts and bigger paws because that’s easier to catch fish. Also, despite the fact that Graystripe mentions in the first arc that it’s bad when a RiverClan cat has lots of fur, I’ve always imagined them be very fluffy anyway. It makes them cuter when they swim. She also has very short ears. I’m not sure why, I just think RiverClan cats wouldn’t have long ones.
And that’s it! This was a very fun idea to play around with. I may wind up doing more on this!

for the reading list prompt: anything related to Emmanuel Levinas' ethics of the Other, especially on having an idea of Infinity through receiving the Other. in another direction, there's a quote by Gerhard Tersteegen that goes, "a God comprehended is no God." if you know of any works that approach those concepts, I'd love your recommendations.
This one is going to be shorter but everything by Jorge Luis Borges. Some particular stories of his that approach this are “The Aleph” “The Immortal” “Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius” and “The Library of Babel”.

GOD I could go on about this. I worry the same thing when write him but then I remember when they were in the barn w Peter’s social worker, how he took Will’s face in his hands like he couldn’t help overstepping that physical boundary—I remember the Saint Teresa level of ecstatic he was when Will pulled him in at the end of TWOTL and just. realize it’s hard to overdo that.
YEP. YEP!! Honestly like just imagining how happy his stupid little cannibalistic heart would be if Will ever was the one to reach out and casually hold his hand or fix his collar—I seriously think he might explode. I try to remind myself that Hannibal did this to himself tbh, and I am not accountable for how broken he gets by Will’s actions, both good and bad. THAT’S JUST CANON, BABEY!!!

I have Snowpeak, Snowdust, Snowchill, Snowripple, Snowflower, Snowrose, Snowapple for Snowbush... I don't really have a problem with Finleap (it's so hard for me to find a name for him too) is why I couldn't come up with much, but Finriver, maybe Finripple, Finglide, Finsplash (yes, I love this one). I forgot about Hollytuft and Sorrelstripe too, their names are pretty "eh" too
