1) I love you all. I really appreciate the support and the hugs and the love. I struggle to open up to people IRL about my mental health, for a long list of reasons. A primary one is the ever present “I don’t want to bother you”, along with the “I’m just looking for attention” guilt. I’ve gotten much better at reaching out IRL, but on the really, really dark days, I just...can’t. So I turn to Tumblr. Tumblr feels safe to me, because I feel as if I’m shouting at the void--none of you *have* to reply. You can keep scrolling if you’re not in a good place, or if you don’t want to, or if you can’t use words. It helps a bit with the “bothering/attention” guilt. Also like. Some of the things I say on here? I legit can’t say to anyone IRL. They would Freak. (validly). 

BUT. I want you all to know that I am, and will be, okay. I have a pretty good hold on where my mental health is, and I have a counselor, crisis numbers, and such. I will reach out IRL if I get to anywhere near active suicidal. I’ve never been there, but I promise I will be safe. I legit have told my kids (students) that none of them are allowed to die before me--it’s my way of saying “hey. you’re not allowed to kill yourself” but it’s also for me. I love my kids, more than myself, and if I want them to live long? I have to. That’s a promise I will not break to them,

ALSO. Sometimes I just. Gotta Get the Dark Out. It’s kind of like cleaning out a wound. And this is a safe space for that, for me. I will tag dark posts with: tw: dark thoughts, tw: suicidal thoughts, passively suicidal. Please feel free to blacklist those, or to just nyoom past if you Can’t. I do not want to endanger your mental health for mine. Ima try and get better at putting real dark stuff under a cut, but Friday/Saturday were just real bad and I couldn’t process well.

FINALLY. Please never feel like you need to comment OR that you need to say something profound (for me or anyone you see struggling). When shit’s dark, literally just a “Hey, I’m sending you a hug” is so much. Because it means you care enough to type those words. And like...on Friday? That was way more than I cared about myself. So to all of you who ever comment on a Sad Post of mine or anyone else’s, please know you have made us smile. :) But also, if you can’t? It’s okay. That’s why I scream at this void...because I know you have the option to “ignore” me if your brain can’t handle my brain.
