Должна сказать, у ценителей высокой литературы изощренный вкус... 🤔 Завязка вкратце такова: 4 друга, первая любовь, несчастье, воспонинания о юности, в попытках понять, что же произошло. 📮📮📮  Автор прекрасно пишет, но история такая же непонятная, как намеки Вероники (первая любовь) - водит героя за нос, что-то показывает, поди разберись что она имела ввиду. Сам Тони (главный герой) так же не вызывает у меня положительных эмоций - на полстраницы описал как женился-родил-развелся-выдал замуж дочь, а это, на минуточку, большая часть жизни. Зато воспоминаниям первой любви он предается в любое время и весьма подробно. Вся жизнь не имела такого значения, как тот небольшой период. Это довольно грустно. Финальный твист вызвал недрумение, и мысль, что я тоже не поняла ничего, как и герой. Англичане реально очень чопорные. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 📖📖📖 Несмотря на вышеописанное, знакомство с автором продолжу, что-то зацепило... Моя оценка 4⭐ за стиль.
