As it turns out, Ibara has three boyfriends that he didn’t know about. Well, technically he did know about them, but he didn’t realize that they were dating for real, and not as a platonic business relationship - which would obviously be the much more sensible choice here.
Sure, they went on dates and other such things, but why wouldn’t they? The more intimately they knew each other, the better their fanservice would be, and in the idol industry, fanservice translated directly into money.
It’s all a completely platonic arrangement, naturally.

“Ibara has made it very clear that he’ll return our affections in his own time!” Hiyori turned to Ibara, with a gentle expression that he didn’t know how to interpret, and gently took hold of one of Ibara’s hands.
“Isn’t that right, viper-chan~?”
Hiyori’s hand on his own made him pause. The three of them knew that Ibara had no interest in actually dating them outside of work, right? They knew that this was all just a business plan to improve their teamwork as a unit, right?

On Ibara, Hiyori and the Buisness world of Enstars
Smth smth hiyoiba is a push and pull relationship of who will drop their guard down first. Hiyori is usually first to do so, because of the way Ibara grew up he won’t drop it unless its a completely private space.
I would say that Ibara knows that Hiyori puts up an act. I’m pretty sure its canon that Hiyori was communicating with Eden during Getto Spectacle, and especially towards Eden and upper management. They’re aware of it, but its hard to be vulnerable with these two.
They trust each other. They’re aware of the power they do hold. (Though I’m not sure if the child soldier thing was told to Hiyori in canon) At least in the business world, I’m guessing. Hiyori still has connections, and Ibara has the power to turn his creative ideas into reality.
I really do want an exploration of the buisness side of Enstars. We do have canon corporations, but technically its a competitive monopoly. Eden climax has already brought us a set up, and bringing us to an understanding of how being an idolized person in a competitive market makes you lose yourself and greed talking to make those actions take place.
Their first interactions are about Hiyori’s judge of character and the inner workings of CosPro. (Saga Release 6) Because that is what they know about each other at that moment.
ES is operated mostly by Tenshouin related companies, making their name more widespread. Hiyori comments about this in his Idol Story 2. This is making (his family’s) the Tomoe Foundation’s name lessen. HappyEle, please tell me where the Tomoe’s put their money in. Because its definitely not the entertainment industry.
Anyway, by Hiyori’s actions I suspect that the rest of the Tomoe’s are overworkers~! ⭐️ So while his parent’s respect his decision of going to the entertainment industry, they probably dont understand why he got there in the first place~! ⭐️ That’s why Hiyori is so against Ibara working so much~! ⭐️

Hmm, maybe HiyoIba? It's just that the ship itself doesn't have a lot of substance and there's nothing romantic about the dynamic the two have. They're two girlbosses <3 It sits in the middle of being a rarepair but also not because polyeden..
Oh right yeah, I did say I don't like that Alkaloid simply places Tatsumayo as the father and nother but— TATSUMAYO itself, is a decent ship. We have the "eye colors match the other's hair" thing going on and the "person who thinks they don't deserve love and the person who loves them like it's breathing" energy.
This got kind of long wooops..

Polyeden
I love them. They're perfect for each other.
I put "criminally underrated" mainly because a lot of people brush over the hiyoiba and nagijun dynamics within polyeden, but those are my favourites.
At any given point in time, I will be thinking about polyeden. My polyeden AUs are sprawling and unfathomable.
They are so so precious to me you don't even know.
Natsumugi
Natsumugi.
I have a lot of thoughts about them. Mostly gender related.
They are so so gender. All of Switch is tbh.
NEITHER OF THEM ARE RELIABLE NARRATORS AND I LOVE IT
Natsume's like "I hate that mophead I want to kill him dead." Tsumugi's like "Wehhh Natsume-kun is so mean to me sob sob" and then Sora turns to the audience and says "Shisho~ and Senpai are madly in love with each other.
Their dynamic is WAY more complicated than that of course I just grossly oversimplified it for the sake of funny.
Ibayuzu
Well! They sure have Something going on.
I don't really know their whole deal but whatever it is, I like it.
Augh I have more feelings about them than that but I can't express them through words hh.
Watanagi
NO WAY WATANAGI FR????
I love them I love them.
But also polyeden and wataei are too canon for me I feel like they wouldn't have time and energy to maintain their own relationship beyond like. Close Good Friends.
Which is why I made myself an AU where I killed off the rest of Eden and Eichi (and also many other characters) as an excuse to make watanagi happen teehee! :)
The watanagi that I ship is the watanagi in my AU. Idk about canon watanagi they're just some guys to me.
Whump AU watanagi forever and ever <3
I usually think about them whenever I've had a really bad day at work. Comfort ship (literal) except I put them through the horrors together.
