Arranged (Vegeta X Reader)
Chapter Nine // Planet Vegeta Meet Frieza
A/N: So, incase you haven't noticed, all these chapters were on Wattpad before here. I haven't written for this story in about a month and it's because I didn't know the direction in which to take it. I still am not sure, but here it is.
Vegeta sat in his room alone thinking of everything that had happened in the past few days. It had been 3 days since the two of you had bonded, and he was getting annoyed with you being the only thing on his mind. He was aware that the only way to keep you out of his thoughts was to see you and speak to you.
Training had been rough too. He had been so off and the fact that you were avoiding him by training in a different room was really starting to agitate the Prince. He hated that you were trying to distance yourself.
You were just trying to give him space. You knew how he was. You didn't want to overwhelm him.
Vegeta couldn't take himself anymore. He stood up and marched to your room where he barged in without knocking.
"Woman!" He screamed. "I demand you presence immediately!"
You walked out of the bathroom to see Vegeta with his arms crossed, standing with fiery eyes. His jaw clenched.
"Yes, your majesty?" You sarcastically answered, putting your hand on your hip and raising a brow.
Vegeta ran his tongue across his teeth before speaking. "Tch. Why have you been avoiding me, woman?"
Your eyes widened as you realize you'd been caught. "I-I- uhm..." You cleared your throat before trying to speak again. "I just wanted to give you some space. Didn't want to bug you."
You shrugged your shoulders.
"You are not a nuisance to me! For heaven's sake!" Vegeta angrily said, putting his arms to his side. His face going red at his own words.
He didn't mean to admit that.
You looked down at Vegeta's clenched fists, noticing the ring you got him on his finger. You softly smiled.
You knew that by Vegeta's words, he meant he cared about you and wanted you around.
You walked up to him, wrapping your arms around him. You gave him a kiss on his cheek.
You felt heat rise to your cheeks as his arms went around you. You felt his tail intertwine with yours.
"Oh, Vegeta." You sighed softly as you fell into him even more, his grip tightening around you.
You could hear his heartbeat as he held you, the smell of him flooding your nostrils.
"You've made me all soft. I don't like it." Vegeta grumbled loudly. "But you are so addictive." He whispered in your ear, nibbling softly at the flesh.
His hand traced your hip as he gently said it. "I hate and love the way you make me feel."
Vegeta's strong arms hoisted you up so you were clinging onto him. You wrapped your legs around his torso and you felt your back slam against the wall.
You began to have flashbacks to the other day when you felt his lips slam onto yours.
You tossed kisses back and forth, Vegeta squeezing your butt tightly, making you squeak in surprise.
"Look at you." He smirked. "The strongest female warrior becoming putty in the Prince's hands." He chuckled as his mouth grazed your neck.
"Vegeta. I-I-"
His head poked up from your neck as he glanced into your eyes curiously.
As much of an ass he was, he still cared about you. He wanted to make sure you were safe and taken care of.
"What is it woman?"
You looked down.
"Vegeta, I love you."
His eyes went wide and cheeks went red. This was the first time either of you said it since...well, you know.
You kissed his nose and grabbed his face, squishing his cheeks.
You giggled softly as the Prince set you down.
"I think we should talk." You suggested and grabbed his hand. You pulled him to your bed where you sat down together.
"Vegeta I know this thing...you know the whole you and I bonding...it isn't easy for you." You started. "And no matter what decision you make, I don't want our relationship to change. You mean too much to me."
Vegeta grunted in response and pulled his hand away from yours. You fiddled with your ring in your lap as you looked up at him.
His profile was lovely. He was really so stunning and gorgeous. You could tell by the look on his face he was thinking.
Vegeta was silent. He could feel your eyes on him, but didn't give you the satisfaction of acknowledging it.
You took your tail and wrapped it around Vegeta's. You felt sparks fly through you and your heart pumped. He jumped at first, but then his body slowly fell into a calm state.
"Stupid woman."
"Stupid man."
Vegeta looked at you with a raised eyebrow and crossed arms.
"Oh. Yeah?"
"Yeah." You stuck your tongue out at him.
His eyes flickered between your eyes and your stuck out tongue before he let out a big sigh.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do, Y/N." Your name rolled off his tongue as he covered his face with his hands.
You scooted closer to him, wrapping your arms around him. You placed a soft kiss on his cheek.
"It will be okay."
"Miss Y/N! Miss Y/N! Your presence has been requested in the throne room! Oh! And my Prince, yours too!"
You and Vegeta made panicked eye contact and rushed down the halls towards the throne room.
Once you reached your destination, you knew things weren't good by the look on the King's face.
"Prince Vegeta, Y/N...I'm afraid planet Vegeta is under attack. We need you both to get out there as soon as possible."
Vegeta clenched his fists and turned to his father. "It's Frieza. Isn't it?"
"Yes."
"That foul bastard!" He screamed, grabbing your arm and running out into the halls.
He picked you up and flew to the space pods. "I'm sending you away. You know, last time Frieza was here was a year ago. He said he would destroy the planet."
You began to fight against him. "I am not a coward! I can take care of myself, Vegeta! Come the fuck on! I'll kill Frieza myself!" You used all your strength to try and pry yourself free from him, but he had already forcefully shoved you into a pod and closed the door.
Vegeta pointed to a scouter laying next to you and then pointed up to his own.
You picked it up, tears streaming down your face.
The pod started to fly off as you heard Vegeta over your scouter. "I can't let you die. We had no time to fight over it."
"Vegeta. Why??"
You heard the sound of static come over your scouter, knowing that Vegeta's somehow had been destroyed.
You started to sob, wondering just exactly where Vegeta was sending you.

Without a screen
So this is a birthday oneshot and art for @hetacon and holy shit if i didnt enjoy writing this fluff! I hope you like it as much as i did! <3 Happy birthday Kiddo!
Word count: 1661
Pairing: Prinxiety (Pure fluff!)
Warning: Anxiety mentioned (If there is more let me know)
Description: How would you react to meeting your partner in real life for the first time. after two years.
Roman was nervous. He was so nervous. He had never been this nervous. He had auditioned for major parts in big plays with scouters in the audience. He had gotten into fights protecting the honor of his friends and himself with people 6 times his size. He had stood his ground in front of his toxic and abusive parents, quickly moving out with his brother. He had done all this and so much more, yet /this/ is what made him nervous. Standing with flowers in his hands, bouncing from leg to leg as he tried not to pace, he bit his bottom lip and looked at his phone. It was open to the last message Virgil had sent him. ‘Just landed. In the back though T-T’. It was sent 7 minutes ago, but it felt like an hour. It felt like forever since he got that message and his stomach flipped as he got more and more nervous as more and more time passed. People who walked by him would give him strange looks and knowing smiles, but none of them mattered. All that mattered was looking for his purple-tip haired boyfriend. He looked over at his phone once more, rereading the message and the time stamp before calculating how much time had passed. Only another minute had gone by.
Virgil bounced his leg as he sat in the back of the plane, watching people so god damn slowly grab their bags out of the overhead bins. He let out a quiet groan, just waiting to get out of the plane. He hated flying, but the reason he was subjecting himself to it was worth it. It was worth the anxiety he felt as the plane jostled around in the sky because of turbulence. The crowded plane filled with unknown people. It was worth it. His long distance boyfriend was worth it. Oh yeah. There was another thing to worry about. What if Roman didn't like the way he looked. Sure they had been on video calls the 2 years they had been together, but real life was always different from a video or picture. Real life was very scary.Virgil took a deep breath and tried to calm his hands from wringing the edge of Romans jacket, a gift received on his last birthday. It was the only white piece of clothing he owned and he wore it every day if he could. He took a quick drink of his iced coffee, which also probably wasn't helping with his anxiety, but when you take a redeye flight, you need it. He rested his head back against the chair, the plane only half way emptied, people still taking their god damn time.
Roman had begun pacing, his stomach doing more flips than a gymnast in the Olympics. He sat down on the metal bench, careful not to grip the flowers too tightly as his legs bounced, running a hand through his golden hair. He wanted to scream, something to get all of these emotions out. His hands shook softly, playing with the leather bracelet Virgil had made him for last Valentines day. He trace the letters that spelled out “My Princey” and his hands stilled. Two years. Two years and they are just finally meeting. And it all started with an online argument about Disney. It moved from Tumblr comments to dm’s. The first 3 months of knowing each other was constant bickering and fighting, and yes they still did that, but it was more loving now. He sighed, leaning back and looking up at the metal ceiling, eyes looking over to the stairs he was supposed to come down.
Virgil had grabbed his carry on bag and drink, quickly rushing out of the plane, his short hair flying behind him as he looked around figuring out which way to go. He rushed past people, mumbling “sorry” and “excuse me” as he did. He needed to see Roman. He was so close, and he felt if he didn't hurry, he was going to lose his chance. He followed the signs to baggage claim, swerving through the crowd. Stopping to catch his breath and standing at the top of the stairs to look through the multitude of people, his eyes watered as he spotted the golden haired man he was looking for. He quickly began running down the stairs, faster than he had ever run before in his life, duffel bag accidentally hitting a few hips and shins as he did.
Roman saw him. His purple tipped emo daydream. He stood up, blinking as if to make sure it was really him. He couldn't believe it. He knew he was here to pick him up, but he still couldn't believe it. He brought his free hand to his arm, pinching himself hard. Nope. not dreaming. Seeing Virgil rush down the stairs, through also worrying him, gave him a sense of hurry. He ran through the crowd, twirling as he almost collided into someone.
They were within feet of each other when Roman dropped the flowers and Virgil’s coffee fell to the floor as well, their arms wrapped around each other with an intensity that could have knocked the wind out of both of them if they weren’t already winded from running and anxiety. Virgil shoved his face into Romans, taking in his scent as tears rolled down his cheeks. He smelt of Earth and Cinnamon. Just how Virgil imagined.
“You’re here. You’re real. This wasn't just some long elaborate joke.” Virgil's voice was quietly, barely audible above the white nose that was the airport. Roman’s own eyes were watering as he sniffed, his face burying itself into Virgil's hair, smelling the fresh hair dye.
“I’m here. You’re here.” He let out a watery chuckle into Virgil’s hair, blinking the tears out of his eyes. “This is real. This is real. Gods i love you, Virgil. I love you and you’re here.” Roman babbled. Virgil let out his own chuckle, pulling back and standing on the balls of his feet to kiss his love deeply. Both of them have been dreaming of this moment forever, and it was just like the books and movies say. Sparks exploded in both their stomachs as Roman’s hands wrapped tighter around Virgil's waist and Virgil’s hand made their way to the back of Roman’s head, tangling his fingers into the others hair. They kissed with two years of longing. Roman laughed against his lover’s lips, wrapping his arms tighter as he lifted Virgil into the air slightly. Virgil let out a squeak as the loss of contact with the floor before he too let out a watery giggle, continuing the kiss. Roman spun them quickly before putting Virgil back down, both their arms still connected in some way with the other.
“I love you too, Princey.” Roman’s face flushed at the nickname. Hearing it in person was something he never wanted to live without again.
“Now Stormcloud, you wound me. I have a name you know.” It was Virgil’s turn to blush, coming to the same realization about the nickname. He tried to cover it up with a scoff as he rolled his eyes, looking away.
“I love you too, Roman.” He mumbled, feigning annoyance, to which Roman beamed, leaning down to kiss the other again. Virgil, after getting lost in the kiss, finally remembered they were in public. He pushed Roman away gently, lips parted breathlessly. “Ro, we need to get my bag. At least wait till we get back to the car.” Roman blushed, rubbing the back of his head as he took one of Virgil’s hands in his own, intertwining their fingers. He never wanted their skin contact to end.
“Sorry, mi amore. I shall try my hardest to restrain myself from your beautiful lips.” Virgil blushed deeply, giving roman a soft shove with his hip, but not pulling his hand out of the other’s. Virgil looked down at his spilt coffee and Romans flowers. Roman following his gaze chuckled softly, bending down to pick up the red and purple roses, shaking some of the iced coffee off them. “I got these for you. I know you said /not/ to get you anything, but i wanted to.” Virgil took the flowers, smiling softly. He did tell Roman not to get him anything, but he appreciated it anyway. He smelled them, his nose burying into a rose before chuckling softly.
“I love the smell of coffee and roses.” Roman laughed, a hearty sound that was so much more joyful in person than over a video. He picked up the now empty cup and looked at Virgil apologetically.
“Well good thing I /totally/ planned that.” Virgil scoffed at the obvious lie, taking the cup from his love, flowers under his arm as he tossed it into a nearby trash can.
“If you planned that, you owe me a new coffee.”
“If you insist, My dark prince.” Virgil rolled his eyes at Roman’s comment, as said boyfriend picked up his duffel bag. He watched the taller male begin to talk about all the things he had planned for the two weeks they got to spend together as they began walking to the baggage claim. He didn't hear half of it as he just watched his boyfriend,  taking in the features of the other without a screen in the way. Roman turned to Virgil, his sentences trailing off at the look his lover was giving him. One of wonder, of awe, of love. Roman blushed deeply as Virgil reached a hand out to touch his cheek, smiling softly at him as he smiled back. At that moment, standing in the airport’s baggage claim, both internally decided they were going to fight for one another. Fight for their relationship to work. They would work twice as hard to move in together. They would fight to have the life they have been dreaming of. A life without a screen between them.

Hours upon hours pass, and the trio find themselves in the midst of some actual bonding. They are not on the best terms, (in fact, Aloe has threatened DJ at least three times due to their provocative nature), but they are accepting of each other's company for the moment.
Tumblr media
...though, 'tolerate' may have been a better word choice.
The musically-inclined cookie was telling tales of fans, spectacular ones that did the craziest of things for them and Rocksy. Their tone was soft, but placed in a way that would be best described as sentimental. The scientist had already had enough after the third story, and the mechanic was spacing out at this point.
🎧 "And despite her family being broken to bits like mine- She worked so hard to impress me! She loved me so much... Too bad I wasn't interested in a relationship. I was too invested in someone else at the time! And-"
On and on they'd go. A quiet groan was held in Aloe's throat, and his mind tried to wander like the third friend at the table. However, there was a message that made him squeak from the receiving.
🔧 "What was...?"
🌵 "Don't worry about it! Ah- It was just-... Just my scouter!"
Indeed, he'd received a message on his scouter. It was short, but not exactly sweet. Cyborg was taught to report any concerns, and, well... This was certainly a concern.

🌵 "We... May want to check on Rockstar."
🎧 "Huh? What happened??"
🌵 "There's an... Egg in Rockstar's containment. A large one."
🔧 "An... An egg."
🌵 "Yes- Yes an egg... Rockstar isn't there, either. Meaning that egg more than likely is-"
🎧 "LET'S GET GOING ALREADY!!"

Sharotto, have you gone to Heaven's Clearing with the Reznor family yet? You may find some peace there.
Sharotto could not remember the last time she had felt this calm. Everything about this place made her feel at ease. “Odd… this place, it feels like all your stress…”
“Just melts away?” Jace supplied, looking over one of the seven orange spheres the Saiyan woman had brought with her.
“Exactly. I don’t remember the last time I’ve been this calm.” Sharotto gave a small huff of laughter while holding Genesis in her arms. “…actually, I don’t remember ever being calm. It’s been all rage and fighting since my planet was…” Sharotto let her words fall, as she took in the soothing effects of the clearing once again.
“Are you sure that this will work?” Alyss asked, eyeing one of the spheres. Each of the seven the Saiyan had gathered, had a different number of stars ranging from one to seven. “I’ve never even heard of these before.”
“I really do hope this works … it’s all I’ve got, and it’s all I’ve wanted for years.” Sharotto admitted, handing Genesis off to his elder sister.
“Well, we’ll keep our fingers crossed.” Jace took a deep breath, before setting the sphere in his hand with the other six on the ground. Everyone gathered was then immediately blinded by a extraordinarily bright flash of light. It took some time for everyone’s eyes to adjust after that flash of light, but when they did, everyone was in for a surprise.
A large eastern looking dragon was staring down at them. The appearance of this enormous dragon made Genesis squeak in fear, and attempt to hide in his older sisters chest.
“I AM THE ETERNAL DRAGON! STATE YOUR WISH, AND I SHALL GRANT IT!”
Jace gently nudged Sharotto forward. “You spent all that time looking for them, it’s your wish to make.”
The Saiyan woman nodded as she looked up at the dragon. She hesitated a few moments before speaking. “I… I just want my family back…”
A long moment of silence passed. A very long moment, and Sharotto feared that her wish would not, or could not be granted. But then.
“YOUR WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED! FAREWELL! BIGGER GREEN OUT!”
Everyone shielded their eyes, as the large dragon disappeared, and the seven spheres flew into the air and flew off in different directions.
“Ugh, remind me next time to not do that here.” Sharotto blinked her eyes in rapid fashion, and when her vision cleared, she saw two people she hadn’t seen in years, two people she had dearly loved and missed.
“D-dai…?” Sharotto asked apprehensively, slowly approaching the tall heavily muscled Saiyan male.
“Sharotto?” The large Saiyan asked, as he took in their surroundings. “What happened? Where are w-?” That was all Dai got out, before his wife now openly weeping embraced him in a hug that would have snapped a lesser man’s spine.
“I missed you so much…” Sharotto sobbed into Dai’s chest. Dai, who didn’t know what was going on, or where they were, believed that answers could be saved for later. His wife was what mattered.
“W-well whatever happened, I’m here now.” Dai reassured his wife, wrapping one arm about her. though he wasn’t sure where he was, he felt exceedingly calm. Something he wasn’t used to, but it was a feeling that he admittedly liked.
Sharotto sniffled, becoming aware that  a small but strong hand was tugging on her pant leg. A smile broke out over her face, when she saw her son looking up at her. “Kon~”
“This is your family?” Jace asked, stepping closer to the Saiyan woman as she held her son close.
Sharotto nodded, wiping her eyes. “It is~ Jace, Alyss, Ebony, Genesis. This is my husband Dai, and my son Kon~”
Dai’s eyes narrowed slightly, almost as if he was sizing Jace up. The Saiyan male’s eyes fell on Jace’s prosthetic arm, and he gave a small nod of approval. He hadn’t let an injury like that keep him down. Whoever this man was, he was clearly a fighter … still though.
Dai pressed a button on his scouter, and his eyes narrowed further. “Only a power level of five?”
“Dai, take that off.” Sharotto sighed, struggling to stifle a laugh. “They’re completely inaccurate.”
“What do you mean?” Dai asked in confusion, before he felt his jaw go slack when his wife turned Super. “Sharotto … y-you’re a…”
“Super Saiyan.” Sharotto finished for her husband, as Dai’s scouter fell off. “That’s another long story.”
“Well, we can hear all your stories later.” Dai said, approaching Jace. “Jace was it? You and your family have been looking after my wife?”
“That we have.” Jace said with a calm expression on his face, no doubt due to the effects of the clearing.
Dai paused for a moment, before a smile broke out over the large Saiyan’s face, and he held one of his hands out, which Jace shook. And to Dai’s immense approval, Jace had a very strong grip. “You have my thanks … and … that young one with the cat ears … is that your son?”
“Yes, that’s Genesis~ And his older sister Ebony~” Jace said, motioning Ebony to come and meet Dai, while Sharotto introduced Alyss to Kon. But as Ebony got closer, Genesis being the shy kitten he was, tried hiding once again. “He’s a shy cub around new people, so you might have your work cut out.”
“Shy huh?” Dai asked, as his tail uncoiled from around his waist, and he began to wave it in front of Genesis in an attempt to get his attention. While it did succeed in baiting the kitten, Genesis was still far too shy to do much of anything else … except to growl in an attempt to sound intimidating when Dai reached a hand out.
“Ohhhhh, think you’re a tough one?~” Dai asked, lightly ruffling Genesis’ hair, before scratching one of his cat ears. Genesis immediately stopped growling, and let out small light purrs at the attention he was getting. “That easy?”
“Of course, he finds out much faster than I did.” Sharotto laughed as Alyss held Kon.
“You found out eventually~” Alyss said, trying not to giggle as Kon’s fluffy tail had wrapped around one of her arms, and was really ticking her.

Un Anno e un Giorno
                                                A YEAR AND A DAY
Tumblr media
R: Our new apartment was far more modern than my furniture was. It was very much Frederick’s clean cut, cool tone, marble and stone style. We had known this when we bought the place, but after seeing all of our things inside it looked…odd. A few days after we had settled in with all of our things from the old apartment Frederick returned to Baltimore with a few moving men and returned with all of his things we had been keeping in a storage space, including his grandmother’s piano. We had the space now, God there was so much space. Every time I would walk into a room I would feel myself jump at the view.
Atlas despite being unable to see all the buildings below us would gaze over our shoulders as we carried him and coo when a cloud passed by. He was so responsive to everything, it was incredible to think I had made him, this little human so perfect and darling. 5 weeks old and already I couldn’t remember a life without him. He was Frederick’s boy though, only Frederick could make him squeak and babble. Frederick was just as consumed by him. Every morning I would find them together in one of the window seats of our living room, playing, singing, reading. Of course as Atlas was only 5 weeks old he couldn’t do much in response but it didn’t inhibit Frederick’s praise of him.
“Yes…yes little love you are so smart, do you know that?” Frederick would sweetly say before pressing his face against Atlas’s chubby cheeks.
They had bonded so closely and it was beautiful to watch. Frederick would laugh so happily and heartily that the sound often woke me early in the morning. This particular morning I decided to get out of bed a bit sooner than usual and make myself a cup of coffee and look over some recent files one of the partners at my firm had sent me. I wasn’t starting work for many months yet but they had relentlessly kept in contact with me, reassuring me of their confidence in my abilities and how excited they were for me to “join the team”. I wasn’t naive. Firms like the one I was joining rarely worked as a team, I was entering the world of dog eat dog. I wasn’t naive about why they had hired me so eagerly either. At the risk of sounding narcissistic I was what many scouters called a ‘honey trap’. I had a sweet youthful face but the mind of a seasoned lawyer.
As I read through the file I felt a flow of energy through my veins and it wasn’t the coffee I had been sipping at. I really did love work, I loved being busy. Suddenly I felt for Frederick, wondering if he missed his work as much as I did. He had told me long ago that so much of his life choices were made with uncertainty and rushed impulses, but he had loved being in charge. The responsibility gave him ulcers but the power…well…I had never experienced such fantastic sex.
“Freddy?” I called to him from the kitchen.
“Yes my love?” He responded from where he sat with Atlas against the window.
“Do you miss work?”
“What do you mean?” He asked playfully while moving Atlas’s hands in front of his eyes.
“The hospital, using your degree and knowledge, making an impact on patients lives?” I asked a bit irritated that he wasn’t giving me his full attention.
“I have found more engaging studies at home. OoooO wahh!” He continued to play with Atlas oblivious to my tone.
“I might go back to work early.”
“What?” That caught his attention.
Frederick turned around and gave me a confused look before moving off the window seat and walking hurriedly to where I sat in the kitchen. He bounced Atlas slightly before taking a seat across from me.
“The partners have been sending me files and hundreds of emails. They must really need me.”
“We need you.” Frederick spoke his hand rubbing over the back of Atlas’s white onesie.
“You’ll manage just fine without me. We’ve talked about this, if you feel overwhelmed with being the primary carer then we can start interviewing nannies. One of the female partners gave me a list awhile back, all with glowing recommendations and certifications.”
“No. I think I have proven myself capable of caring for our son.” His tone had turned bitter and I regretted bringing it up again. The first time I had brought up a nanny Frederick had almost cried.
“Of course you have Frederick, you’re an amazing father to our son. He’s never happier than when he’s with you. I just want to make sure you’re happy too.” I tried to back track with reassurances but Frederick had taken offense at the nanny suggestion.
“I tell you everyday how happy I am, how happy you both make me. I just do not understand why you would choose to give that up.” He was hurt but his accusation wounded me as well.
“Frederick I’m not giving up our happiness, I need to feel like I’m doing something again…I miss it, I miss the work.” I tried to explain and reason with him as I gestured widely with my arms.
“Once you start you will not be able to stop, you are going to be busy all the time, there will no longer be time for us.” He lowered his gaze which usual signaled that tears were about to follow.
“Baby, it’s my career, we’re all going to have to make sacrifices…I may not be around as much but that certainly doesn’t mean I don’t love you. I mean Frederick we moved all the way here.”
“I am not upset with that, I knew it was an eventuality. I am hurt that you would choose to start work early, that you would be willing to leave us without requirement.”
I appreciated his honesty but I was frustrated with his lack of empathy to my reasoning.
“Frederick why would you say it like that, I don’t want to leave you, I just want to work again, to put my skills to use. I worked so hard for years, long before I met you, to get to where I am today.”
He stood and left the kitchen taking our son with him. I rolled my eyes and returned to reading the documents inside the file but before I knew it he was in front of me again without Atlas. He reached for my hand and I relinquished it begrudgingly still frustrated.
“Do you love me?” He asked his voice small and expression soft.
“Frederick…” I warned, tired of his dramatics.
“Answer me please.”
“Yes I love you.” I responded softer, but still with a slight tinge of annoyance.
“Then stay with me. Do not leave.”
“Frederick I’m not leaving, we’re talking about me going to work.”
“A year. You promised me a year. Us and our son, you promised.” He spoke his voice shaking slightly as he shook his head back and forth.
“Frederick…”
“We can take a class, go to events, anything. Please I just need you, all of you for a while longer.”
“Freddy you’re not losing me, I’m always going to be there for you. You and the baby come first, you always will.” I promised giving his hand a reassuring squeeze.
“Please wait then, please.” His begging was heartbreaking and the look on his face made my stomach drop.
“Come here.”
He rounded the bar and stood at my side as if awaiting instruction.
“Kiss me.” I spoke my lips only centimeters from his.
He complied after lifting a strand of hair from my face with his large fingers. His kiss was cautious and gentle but too short for my liking. I pulled him back to me and wove my hand up the nape of his neck into his thick hair. His arms found my back and drug me flush against him causing me to slip from the barstool. I wrapped my legs around his lower back and he folded over me but did not fall, rather he hoisted me higher before carrying me towards our bedroom.
As we fell onto the bed together he lifted himself above me despite me trying to pull him closer.
“Please…wait…in a year I will be ready. Please.” He still looked more confident now despite his lips being swollen from my kisses and his hair mussed from the wild motions of my hands.
“I’ll think about it.” I was displeased that my distraction had failed.
“Please.”
“Frederick I said I’ll think about it.” I ran my hands up and down under his t-shirt trying to bring him to lie on top of me.
He sighed and lifted himself fully from where he had hovered above me and moved to leave the bedroom.
“Where are you going?” I asked incredulously.
“To check on our son.” He couldn’t hide his own smirk as he turned back towards me and raised an faux innocent eyebrow.
“Are you serious, you’re using sex as a bargaining chip now?” I called after him as he left the room.
“It has always worked for you.” He called back and I felt my face heat with a combination of the state he had left me in and the truth of his words.
This boy had seriously underestimated my ability to seduce. Seducing Frederick had always been easy, he was such an eager little mongoose. If he thought what he had seen in the past was me bargaining…he had no idea what wheel he had just set in motion.
Ok Mr. Chilton…let’s play.
Not to worry these two are glued at the hip and will do anything for each other. My advice is to prepare yourself for the saucy chapters ahead. Welcome to fluff city, population: I’m sorry, altitude: I’m writing these off the cuff now, anything can happen.
