Accounting for Accountability || Shigure || Trial 4.2 || Re: Sibyl || Attn: Chioko, Riley, Himeyuri, Sibyl, Kanna
Even figuring out how the trap was configured didn’t necessarily narrow down who was responsible for creating it. Anyone could have done it, aside from the few that were cleared from their alibis.
It still left quite a bit of people…
“Right now, the only people we can say with full certainty are cleared are Yuyu, Kaneko, Yukkun, and myself. Chicchan, Ricchan, Himetan, Mimi, and Kanna have no one who can vouch for them between the hours of 3 AM to 5 AM.,” Shigure said. “I’d really like to believe Mimi wouldn’t clear Yukkun if she wasn’t actually in the tent, but there’s just no way to actually know.”
She sighed and shook her head.
“I think we can roughly estimate that the killer was gathering materials from 3 AM to around 4 AM. And let’s just roughly estimate that it took the killer around an hour to set the trap up. There’s no actual way to know, it could’ve been shorter, it could’ve been longer. That makes our timeframe from 3 AM to 5 AM, give or take a little. Everyone unaccounted for during that timeframe is a suspect.”
“I can at least confirm that the killer definitely finished their trap before 5:15, because I would’ve seen them with how much I was checking the hallways. I also didn’t hear anything when I was passing by the room, so the killer wasn’t in the midst of making it.”
There was one other thing, another thought, but…she didn’t really want to say it, for a good number of reasons, but when she looked at Yumeko across the trial room, she knew she couldn’t stay silent. She couldn’t risk a mistrial here. Still, she wouldn’t be the one to fire an accusation. Not again, not after last time. She couldn’t take another cruel tirade thrown her way.
“I will say that I did see Kanna when I was on my way to the Office Archives, and she did go into the Science Lab like she said.” She frowned. She hated giving Kanna any credibility. “When I saw her, she definitely wasn’t carrying any weird materials and I didn’t hear anything from the Music Room. I never saw her leave either. Though this doesn’t clear her entirely since she could’ve just made the trap earlier, it at least confirms her alibi.”
There was something else, but she just couldn’t say that ever. She’d have to keep it to herself.

Himeka at open campus event for The Koshien University Psychology Department.
The Department of Psychology held an event for Nakamoto Himeka-san (Nogizaka 46)
At the 24th August the University's Psychology Department held an event by Nakamoto Himeka-san (member of Nogizaka46) as a part of the open campus. The theme is "Message to High School Students" In the first part, Nakamoto-san gave a lecture on how she switched from a popular idol to a psychological counselor. "I had a lot of trouble when I was an idol, but after studying psychology, I was able to take things positively and talk to a variety of people without hesitation," she said, being now a full-time psychological counselor. In the second part, Sakai Ritsuko-san, Director of Psychology, he was the coordinator, and Yasumura Naomi-san, professor of psychology, and Nakamoto-san had a conversation.
Nakamoto-san sent a yell to high school students, saying, "I think it's hard for the students to take the exam, but I want them to change the tension into something comfortable." On this day, there were nearly 100 participants from Kanagawa prefecture, Chiba Prefecture, Saitama Prefecture, Aichi Prefecture, etc. in addition to the area, and listened intently to Nakamoto-san's story.

Radio Fish - Last Number (Featuring Himeka Nakamoto)
With Himeka Nakamoto’s upcoming graduation from Nogizaka46, Oriental Radio, whom she’s been doing radio with regularly, requested to record a song together with her.
The lyrics are written by Atsuhiko Nakata, although simply credited as RADIO FISH. It is composed by kanako!sm.
The song will be available for digital purchase and download on November 8th, 2017.
In the translation I’ve marked out each vocalist’s solo in the verses.
The chorus is all Himeka, and is left unmarked.
(Himeka)
Laughter flowing from the radio on Sunday evening
You and me got on the same wavelength
And exchanged our feelings
(Nakata)
Even as things didn’t always go our way
And during times one of us felt down
We shared the pain and kept moving forward
(Fujimori)
Even if our roads part here
If you would ever feel sad
Never forget that you are not alone
Why must all things come to an end (I will miss you)
Why must people depart
There is still something (I will miss you)
I need to tell you (I will miss you)
Thank you
(Himeka)
That song playing on the radio brings the memories back to that day
Worrying whether I could really get up on stage and dance happily
I was shaking
(Nakata)
Because there are people who are waiting for you
You mustered up your courage
And returned here with a smile
(Fujimori)
Even as the seasons pass
And you would head for another place
Never forget that you are not alone
Why are all my painful memories disappearing (I will miss you)
Why does the past suddenly appear so bright
I’ll become someone we both can be proud of (I will miss you)
We will (I will miss you)
Definitely meet again
The reason I can see this beautiful scenery (I will miss you)
Is because I’ve climbed this hill
Because I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished (I will miss you)
I’ll finally say it (I will miss you)
Farewell
Now is the time for this to come to an end (I will miss you)
Now is the time for someone to depart
There is still something (I will miss you)
I need to tell you (I will miss you)
Thank you

Narrowing It Down || Shigure || Trial 3.3 || Re: Wakaru || Attn: Chioko, Yuka, Wakaru, Holly, Yuuto
"It's true that we don't have a lot to go off of in this trial. There's no damning evidence, but I'd imagine that's to keep in line with the onryo's demands. It's as good as confessing if the killer just left out a bunch of evidence that says 'this is me'. So...let's look at the ways we can narrow this down," Shigure said. There was still a lot she wasn't certain about in this case, and something she was a bit suspicious about now, but she could get to that later once she had a little more information. For now...
"Taking a look at the letter Ryou left, we can clearly see the culprit crossed out their name. I tried to feel the area to see if I could make out any characters, but I didn't get anything. They really scribbled it out. But! I can at least tell based on the rest of Ryou's writing, that the crossed out name would be roughly 5-7 letters long. That at least narrows down a few options. From what we can see in the letter, Ryou tends towards using first names, and always adds a -san to the end. So, with that information, we can at least determine that Yaya...I mean, Yaldabaoth, couldn't be the killer. Their name is too long. Same thing with Himetan."
Granted, Yaldabaoth didn't have any real motive to kill, but she didn't want anyone doing something stupid like accusing them of killing to protect her.
"Actually, I think we can cross out anyone who was already hurt by the motive. Aside from the fact they wouldn't have any motive anymore, Ryou also addresses them by name early in his letter apologizing to them directly. If one of them was his accomplice, it would be extremely weird for him to apologize to them in the letter, as though the death would be a surprise to them, or he couldn't apologize directly, you know?" Shigure said. "Going back to the lengths of everyone's names, that leaves Chicchan, Koune, Mimi, Wakachu, Yucchan, Yukkun, and myself. However, based on Mimi and Yukkun's accounts, they can vouch for each other. If we narrow it down further, it sounds like Koune has an alibi with Misaki, though I kind of doubt the validity of that, for the sake of argument we can just consider that a tentative alibi. That just leaves Chicchan, Wakachu, Yucchan, and I." She sort of hated the fact she couldn't leave herself from suspicion. "Going off our names, only 'Yuka-san' fits within 5-7 letters. That being said, I think that's way too vague of a reason to label someone as a killer. We have no way of knowing if he included -san or not."
At least they were able to narrow things down to just a few people.
"I don't think we can really narrow this down by sharing our visions, but I'm willing to if necessary. I just know all of us have people we've all been very open about loving. For me, my sister. For Wakachu, the professor. For Yucchan, their boyfriend. And for Chicchan..."
"...I can't actually think of anyone aside from Chicchan's grandfather, actually. Who was threatened in your vision anyway?" Shigure definitely didn't know. "Anyway, I do actually think the tupperware in the fridge is important. Mimi, Yukkun, when you were baking, did you see those tupperware in the fridge? I think it's very important to know when it got there. I can confirm that the tupperware was already in there when I went to get my midnight snack. I think we need to determine when it appeared there. Was it already there before Ryou died?" Their answer would determine something for Shigure, but she didn't want to jump the gun before she had confirmation on this.

y'know, finally giving babymetal a shot after years of knowing their existence has been wonderful, but man, do I get some heavy missing Himetan hours at least once a week, I mean, it's fine, I understand why she left, staying would've destroyed her mental health in the long run, leaving was the best decision, kind of wish people would realize this about Yui and her physical health bc maybe if she didn't left when she did a solo career wouldn't even be an option
Oh! I'm glad you're having a good time getting into bm! But aw :( yeah it would be nice for people to remember that idols are in fact people too and sometimes have to put their health before anything else. Agreed tho, yui leaving when she did was probably for the best, especially if her health/injuries were as bad as people suspect.
Himeka is a sweet bub so it's sad she left the entertainment industry but she seems to be thriving, doesn't she work in mental health now? I feel like I read that

Nogizaka46 - Sympathies for the Smoothie (Gomen ne, Smoothie) - Translation
One of the better tracks from the new album, that gets better with each listen. Probably because the members are great.
Translation done with some English advice from BEAM subs member Hououin Pic.
------------------------------------
Sympathies for the smoothie
Yeah Yeah
Cuz I bumped into him and we talked for a while
Had just bought it at the station stand
Forgot all about it while it was resting in my hand
Bet it’s all melted, damn
Just to make sure I take a sip by the straw
But this shit’s really watery now
Really screwed this up
When you find someone you like; Fall in love
Your eyes go blind for other shit around ya
Shit won’t go as smooth as you’d like
Can I go so far as to say a part of you dies
Love
You gotta make a sacrifice
Gotta have resolve or it’ll lead to nothing
All that no-good daydreamin’; minutes, hours, days and nights
Before you know it, all of it has passed by
Sympathies for the smoothie
Yeah yeah
The way I lived my life until now
The shit I valued; no questions asked
All them things; All them rules
Came to terms with that it don’t mean jack
Meeting this guy I now realize
Gotta be selfish lest happiness won’t materialize
So let me love ya
Just a minute ago I had made up my mind
Yeah, I won’t let some dumbass boy control my life
S’what I promised myself; Had it all planned out
But in the end, some things you just can’t decide like that..
I was parched
Real damn thirsty you know
Needed a fix of nourishment for my body & soul
Tho it's part of my daily routine
I fucked up; Fully neglecting it
Sympathies for the smoothie
Yeah Yeah
Cuz I bumped into him and we talked for a while
Had just bought it at the station stand
Forgot all about it while it was resting in my hand
Bet it’s all melted, damn
Just to make sure I take a sip by the straw
But this shit’s really watery now
Really screwed this up
Yeah yeah
Lotsa time had passed when I took a sip
Was a lukewarm mess and it tasted kinda shit
Melted sherbet
’tis the legacy of love
Gotta finish it all
Waste of money if I don’t
Yeah yeah
The way I lived my life until now
The shit I valued; no questions asked
All them things; All them rules
Came to terms with that it don’t mean jack
Meeting this guy I now realize
Gotta be selfish lest happiness won’t materialize
Ain’t I a self-serving fuck
Smoothie!
