Synopsis: Masaki is a male Omega married to Hiromu a male Alpha. They have a child together named Hikari and they've just moved in to a new neighborhood. The story revolves around the everyday lives of this couple and how they raise their son Hikari.

Y’all should know by now that I really don’t like plots that involve children and rapists. And if that wasn’t enough, I also don’t like already established couples. Literally the only reason why I endured reading the manga because I felt bad for not supporting my friends’/proofreaders’ favorite manga. I do like Ichikawa Ichi, and Tenjou no Shita ni Koi is still one of my favorites up to this day (even though I have a love-hate relationship with it), but sensei is known to have an affinity towards love triangles—YA GIRL EVEN DOES SQUARES. It’s especially frustrating for me because I end up rooting for everyone to end up with the MC. 😩 Thankfully for me, Tadaima, Okaeri didn’t have a love triangle...in volume one at least.
If ya ain’t giving me 3P, don’t even bother
Anyway, I was actually ecstatic when news broke out about the adaptation. I mean, despite the fumble Fusion Product had with Fuck Buddy’s casting, I still had faith in their casting for omegaverse because hello? This was the legendary house who brought the award-winning Kashikomarimashita, Destiny onto the table and Romantic Joutou! Of course they’re gonna deliver again this time around, right???
WRONG!!!
I just about died when I saw that Moririn was coming in for Hiromu, but then when I scrolled down to see who was going to do my and Yuuki's beloved Matsuo-san...
Y’ALL ARE WRONG TO CAST TORIUMI KOUSUKE FOR MATSUO-SAN. Don’t get me wrong, I love the man and he did his best, but he is in no way suited to play mature and sexy Matsuo-san. I wouldn’t have complained if Tori and Moririn switched roles because Tori is more suited to comedic Papa roles (Dekichatta Danshi), but Matsuo-san has this air of mysery to him that Tori can't emulate. 😤 Plus, Tori, bless his heart, doesn’t have a lot of sex appeal as a top. How was FP even expecting a black cat play a wolf??? There’s a plethora of actors who would slay Matsuo-san’s role out there and I just can’t fathom why FP couldn’t chose any one of them instead. If they were just going to mispurpose veterans in BLCDs, then I’d rather have them not be cast at all! Maeno could have delivered Matsuo-san just fine if only he wasn’t already committed to Kashikomarimashita, Destiny, but there’s still Wacchan, Hirarin, Katou Masayuki, and Shingaki Tarusuke who are around Moririn’s range. SEE, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF Y’ALL JUST CAST KATOU MASAYUKI GODDAMIT.

Anyway, as I’ve mentioned earlier, when I saw Moririn’s name on that list, I really did die; BUT NOTHING EVER PREPARED ME FOR WHAT HE WAS GOING TO SERVE ON THAT FUCKING TABLE!!! You don’t understand. Not only did he go a tone deeper than what I had imagined Hiromu’s voice was going to be, he also sounded like he was recording with a goddamn dummy head mic! 😩 Mans made me feel like he was talking to me and that Hikarin was our child (sorry, Masaki)! WELL, THAT SURE TOOK ME FUCKING BACK TO MY TEENS WHERE I’D JUST LISTEN TO HIS LOVERS ONLY AND KARESHI IGAI CDS TO SLEEP. FUCKING CHEAT WITH ME, DADDY!!! The audacity of your duality, FP!!! Now this is how you put veterans to good use! It’s been how many years ever since he was cast in a good role/main role??? Three??? Please come back for more, sir!!! 😩 Ugh. I honestly can’t think of another actor who could play Hiromu better than he can and he’s going to be the very reason why I’m going to listen to the upcoming adaptations if there may be. Again, I didn’t like Hiromu and Masaki’s pair at all and didn’t care about them, BUT YO I’M ALL SIGNED UP FOR THAT MORIRIN ACTION!!!
Tama and Taku also did very well in their respective roles. I also can’t imagine their characters to be played by other people, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I didn’t confuse Tama for Shirai Yuusuke in the beginning. 😂I do have to mention Tanezaki Atsumi here, too, because she fucking deserves it. When I say that I don’t like children, I really mean that I don’t like children. I mostly ignored Hikarin’s entire existence while I read the manga because I found him spoiled and well, you know, disproportionate. However, it’s really hard to ignore him now that he’s voiced, so I had no choice but to actually listen to the plot (surprise I only skipped to Hiromu and Masaki’s bedroom subjugation and Matsuo-san and Yuuki-kun’s interactions). I don’t know if it was because I was a few days away from my period, Moririn’s daddy voice, Tanezaki Atsumi’s stellar voice acting, BUT Y’ALL THAT AWAKENED MOTHER’S INSTINCTS, I—
YO I GET IT. I GET IT, YOU HIKARI SIMPS. HAPPY NOW?! Hina is a different story, though
I’m still not a 100% in Hiromu and Masaki’s relationship, but I will try reading through it with interest (try is the keyword). If anything, this BLCD made the series better EXCEPT for Tori’s casting fiasco of course. I’d definitely recommend this to you if you’re a fan of the series, but do be warned. If you also thought that Tori’s catching was sketch, trust your instincts because it’s going to turn out like how you imagine it. Regardless, everyone did their best and despite some minor addends/rearrangements on the dialogue, this was a good adaptation over all. PLEASE DO LISTEN TO THIS IF YOU’RE A MORIRIN FAN OH MY I CAN’T STRESS ENOUGH.

I made this film in 2018 with plans to finish, but I've decided to move on and make peace with this. I remember the joy I felt working on this film. It is near and dear to my heart, flaws and all. Please enjoy.

Dear Evan Hansen, We’ve been way too out of touch. (Yes, this is a persona fanfic)
(AN: @yusuke-of-valla’s blog, PQ2 but they’re doing DEH.)
“Cmon, Mona! Swallow your pride for me, just nod yes! Act like a mascot for once! For Ann?” Ren says, laughing.
“And prepare, cause something’s in the air!~” quite a few voices speak up.
“I’ve found my people!” Ren screams out, seeking out the voices.
The rest of the sidequest involved Ren, Makoto, Haru, Yusuke, Ann, Goro, Futaba, Yosuke, Rise, Minato, and Minako singing a bunch of musical songs.
Everyone threw Minato and Minako a heathers preformance because Heathers wasn’t out yet in their time.
And then...
“A preformance!” Ren says, flourishing a script.
“A what?” Minako said to him.
“We’re going to preform Dear Evan Hansen!” Futaba says, with an excited look on her face.
“What’s that?” Rise asks, confusedly.
“A musical! It’s kinda dark, but it’s got some killer songs and some hilarious moments!” Ann says, quickly.
“Okay, so who do you want us to be?” Minato asks, immediately bringing everyone on board.
“Okay, I was thinking that Yosuke could be Jared, Haru could be Alana, Yusuke could be Connor, Makoto could be Heidi, and Minato could be Zoe. But there’s are three roles that I have no idea who could be them.” Ren explains.
“Well, what are the characters?”
“Evan, our protag is depressed, oblivious, and ridiculously in love with Zoe. Larry and Cynthia are Connor and Zoe’s parents. They need to be able to argue at a moment’s notice.”
Minato and Minako share a look.
“We might know some people who could fill those roles.” Minako says, a smirk playing at her lips.
And they leave the room.
Twenty minutes later, they drag in Akihiko, Mitsuru, and Yu.
“If I’m Zoe, then my husband should be Evan, shouldn’t he?”
“And you haven’t seen these two really get into an argument.”
Ren smiles.
“Looks like we have our cast!”
And rehearsals begin immediately, with scripts and listens of the songs.
Finally, Makoto and Mitsuru start off “Anybody have a map?”
“Connor finished the-” Minato starts, swinging the milk carton behind him and accidentally hitting Akihiko, who was standing behind him.
“Shit, you alright?” Minato says, basically carrying Akihiko at this point.
“Yeah, fine.” He says, clearly with a broken nose.
Mitsuru sighs and pulls out her evoker.
“Diarahan” she says, with a tight-lipped frown.
And that was only the start.
“Life without you has been rough” Yu starts
“Kin-HAHAHAHAHA” Yosuke tries to say.
He ended up laughing for a full minute.
Ren, Minako, and Hikari hold back snickers.
Requiem comes along.
“Why should I play the grieving gir-”
Minato tries to sing, and ends up yawning.
“Wow, you can’t even stop yawning during a preformance?” Yu quips.
And Minato, deadpan as always, says this.
“I want a divorce.”
Minako and Ren try so, so hard to not die of laughter.
And when they finally get to the end of act 1...
“Even when the dark comes crashing through, you will be found. When you need someone to carry you, you will be found! You will be found!”
Minato and Yu lean in for the kiss.
“Haha!” Futaba yells out, just as their lips are about to meet.
“Futaba! You killed the moment!” Ren yells back to her.
“S-Sorry! It’s just that Hikari told me something hilarious!”
Minako whispers something under her breath.
“Take two!” Hikari says.
“Say darling, hey maybe, fancy a movie night with us?” The wildcards say in sync.
“You guys really need to stop that.”
“No!”
There was somewhat smooth sailing until Good for You.
“And you say what you need to say, and you play who you need to play, and If somebody’s in your way crush them and leave them behind!”
Yu breaks down in tears.
“Cut the music!” Someone screams out.
“Yu, it’s all an act. Please calm down.” Makoto says, with her head in her hands
“Yeah, partner.” Yosuke says, touching Yu’s arm.
“I’m sorry! I’m not a theater kid! I don’t know how to do this!” Yu cry-yells
“Yu, seriously? This is why you join the drama club.” Minato chimes in.
“Oh, and I suppose you’re a part of yours?!”
“...We don’t have a drama club.”
“Technically, we do.” Mitsuru chimes in.
“We have one?!” Minako yells out.
“Well, on paper at least, SEES is the drama club.”
“We’re the WHAT NOW?!”
“...It’s not important, anyhow. The true purpose is to fight shadows, is it not?”
“Is that why Ms. Toriumi sometimes asks me to do dramatic readings in class?” Minato asked, with a degree of uncertainty.
“Most likely, yes.”
“Revelations aside, let’s try again. We need to get this perfectly!” Hikari says, cutting off the conversation.
So they stumble through the rest of the songs, and start with the dialogue.
“You went lurching from one miracle cure to the next.” Akihiko yells.
“Miracle cure? Is that really what you call it?!” Mitsuru says, with all the emotion of a grieving mother.
And then sparks and ice start surrounding them.
“Oh, no-” Minato says out, just as Mitsuru accidentally freezes Akihiko.
“Akihiko!” Mitsuru says as she snaps out of her stupor and catches her frozen best friend.
Shinjiro runs in. “WHAT’S GOING ON MY IDIOT-FRIEND-SENSES ARE TINGLING!”
After they thaw out Akihiko and try again, a similar thing happens. Akihiko shocks her.
Shinjiro has to start sitting in because otherwise his friends are going to kill each other.
Finally, dress rehearsals. Akihiko borrows Yu’s glasses, Yosuke wears his, and everyone dresses a bit more casually. Yusuke’s hair gets poofed up by Ren and Ann.
“Why am I lowkey weak for Inari?! I shouldn’t be lowkey weak for Inari!” Futaba yells out.
Everyone else, is of course, also lowkey weak.
Songs start again.
“Oh, damn!” Minato says as he watches the milk carton fly into the ceiling. “I’ll get it!”
“I’m gonna say the M word!” Futaba yells out, suddenly.
“NO!” Half the team screams.
“Macbeth!” She yells out.
“AAAAAAAA” Minato yells, as he falls off the ladder.
“...Countercurse time?”
“YEAH!”
“What happened??” Minato questions.
“Futaba said the M word!” Minako tells him.
“WHY WOULD YOU SAY THE M WORD IN A THEATER?!”
“If we shadows have offended, think but this and all is mended, that you have but slumbered here, whilst these visions did appear.” Futaba recites.
“Thank you!” Ren told her.
“What’s this superstition? Why shouldn’t you say M-” Yu questions.
“NO!” Once again, half the cast yells.
“Call it ‘The Scottish Play’ or ‘The Bard’s Play’ in a theater” Minako starts.
“Basically, there are multiple stories. Some say it’s because the first ‘Lady’ died and Shakespeare had to go on in her place. There was also the one where the prop daggers were switched for real ones and Duncan was murdered live on stage. There’s also the one that says the spells in the play are actual spells and Witches cursed it because of that.” Ren informed Yu.
“...Oh”
“Yeah. So never say the M-word in a theater.”
“Okay.”
Finally, the preformance.
...You think everything ended here? Oh no, mistakes always happen.
“Dear Evan Hansen, thanks for every note you send!”
“Dear Connor Murphy, I’m just glad to be your friend!”
“Our friendship goes beyond...”
Yu dips Yusuke.
“Your average kind of bond!”
They lean in.
“But not because we’re gay!”
Yu drops Yusuke.
“No, not because we’re gay!”
Yusuke says, as he jumps up. Everyone laughs.
“Did you plan that?! Did you?!” Ann whisper-screams to Ren.
“No! Not at all!” He whispers back.
And then the “You Will Be Found” situation.
The company starts singing. And then we get to Zoe’s part.
Yu trips Minato. Minato is literally pinning Yu to the floor. Minato keeps singing, and then leans in for the kiss when it’s time.
All the other theater kids beg for Yu not to mess up with Akihiko and Mitsuru.
The rest of the show goes without incident.
The finale comes in, and the curtain goes down.
Raucous applause follows it.
...It was hard, but they did it.

Like a Dragon Includes Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima as Final Fantasy Summons, a Pokemon Parody Sidequest, And More

New details on Yakuza: Like a Dragon, including a new trailer and gameplay, new cast video interviews, returning characters, the dungeons, the battle arena, DLC-only Jobs.
Sega published a new gameplay trailer, details, and screenshots for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, most notably revealing both Kazuma Kiryu and Majima Goro can be unlocked as Delivery Help, the game’s Final Fantasy-like summon system titled after Delivery Health. The details include information on the game’s new and returning characters, the battle arena, the DLC only Jobs, some sidequests and dungeons. Lastly, we also learned Yakuza: Like a Dragon includes a Pokemon parody sidequest with how you need to beat up 252 different types of bad guys called Sujimon to complete your Sujidex.

The trailer starts by introducing each of the seven party members in the game, Ichiban Kasuga, Kouchi Adachi, Namba, Saeko Mukouda, Joon-gi Han, Tianyou Zhao, and Eri Kamataki, along with the classic RPG roles they can fulfill depending on their various Jobs. Protagonist Ichiban Kasuga is the center of the party, and if he dies, you’ll immediately lose the battle and half of your money, as if mixing Persona and Dragon Quest together. New Jobs can be unlocked by studying and passing exams. The exams each have various themes, from sports trivia to questions related to other Sega franchises. You can also unlock certain jobs via sidequests.
It’s important to note two jobs have been confirmed to be paid DLC only. We have the male-character only Akuma job, which uses a guitar to fight and is dressed like a visual metal band member. And we have the female-only job Anego, which uses a naginata and machine guns, focusing on long-range and AOE attacks.
As we already know, the story starts in Isezaki Ijinchou in Yokohama, and Kamurocho in Tokyo will be accessible at some point. The trailer also reveals Sotenbori in Osaka will also be one of the maps in the game, for a total of three huge cities to explore.
Another element the trailer touches upon we haven’t seen much until now is how you can upgrade weapons and equipment with materials you’ll find around the cities, through sidequests or mini-games.
The last part of the trailer shows the various mini-games like darts, karaoke, girls bars, the Dragon Kart, the can-gathering minigame, and the Management Mode. The latter requires Ichiban to recruit employees, complete various deals and lead the company to become the biggest corporation in Yokohama. This mode is available pretty early in the game, and you’ll need to progress through it to unlock Eri as a party member.
Toshihiro Nagoshi mentioned a few days how besides Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, Taiga Saejima and Daigo Dojima are also among the returning characters. The trailer and screenshots show part of their summon animation, confirming all four will be among the Delivery Help characters.
New screenshots published by Famitsu also detail the boss fight against Kiryu, Majima and Saejima. Kiryu actually uses his different fighting styles from past games. Majima and Saejima will be fought at the same time. While it wasn’t confirmed yet, it’s highly implied that managing to defeat them in battle is how you’ll unlock them as summons.
Next, Sega published official profiles and screenshots for certain important characters of the game. We first have Ryo Aoki, who was heavily implied in the previous trailer to be the true villain of the game. Ryo Aoki is the current governor of Tokyo, in the past, he was called Masato Arakawa and was like a brother to Ichiban, but he was supposed to be dead. After being elected as governor, becoming the youngest governor of Tokyo in history, he enacted the “Kamurocho 3K plan” which led to the destruction of the Tojo Clan. He’s also the founder of political party Bleach Japan and is the big favorite to be the next Prime Minister. He’s acted by Kōsuke Toriumi.
Next, we have Ogasawara Hajime, the current boss of Bleach Japan and the second founder of the party with Ryo Aoki. He’s acted by Tarusuke Shingaki.
Up next is Kume Sota, the director of the Yokohama branch of Bleach Japan. He’s a dangerous individual who’d do anything for the party and strongly supports its ideal of “bleaching the gray zone of entertainment shops”. He’s acted by Daisuke Hirakawa.
As a reminder, Bleach Japan claims many entertainment businesses in Japan are in a gray area and violate the Fueiho, the “Businesses Affecting Public Morals Regulation Act” law. This law exists in real life and regulates businesses like cabarets, host and hostess clubs, and sex industry-related businesses like soaplands.
We also have new info on the dungeons of the game, which are areas filled with dangerous people like certain homeless or sick people. These have treasure chests and a boss in their innermost part. Certain dungeons will also be unlocked with sidequests. Three more sidequests in the game were revealed, one involving an animal circus, one about searching for a black market weapons dealer, and one about a professor developing a giant automated city-cleaning robot.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon also includes a battle Arena made of 30 floors, with each floor having different rules and restrictions. No screenshots showing the Battle Arena were published yet, however.
We also learned Yakuza: Like a Dragon has a Pokemon-parodying sidequest, called Sujimon. Early in the game, Ichiban and friends will meet Doctor Sujimon, who is developing a mobile app encyclopedia to gather info on various dangerous people, the Sujimon. There are 252 different Sujimon in the game, and Kasuga gotta fight them all to complete his Sujidex. The first time we meet with Doctor Sujimon, we’ll also be asked to fight a green Sujimon, a red Sujimon, and a blue Sujimon, to test out the Sujimon app.

Sega also published a video interview with Nobuhiko Okamoto, the seiyuu of party member Tianyou Zhao. When Nobuhiko Okamoto was contacted for the role, he was pretty shocked to see he’s voicing a Chinese mafia boss, as it’s pretty different than all roles he did in the past. Tianyou is the kind of character who’s pretty calm but can suddenly start going really crazy. He’s also using various Chinese martial arts so Okamoto was pretty happy to voice a character who’s pretty much a Kungfu movie protagonist.

A video interview with Eri Kamataki was also published. Eri Kamataki won the actress audition for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, she acts herself in the game and also handled the motion capture for Saeko. In the interview, she mentions she was quite nervous during the audition and was really surprised when she ended up winning. She mentioned her version in the game has a slightly cuter personality than how she is in real life. In-game, she’s the boss of a company, but she’s too nice for the role and ends up getting deceived by bad guys. That’s when Kasuga helps her and they try to save the company together, triggering the game’s Management Mode. Yakuza: Like a Dragon was also Eri Kamataki’s first time voicing battle scenes, and she ended up redoing certain lines many times, but she had a lot of fun recording and acting for the game.
It’s important to note the finalists of the actress audition, Iroha Yanagi, Sumire Sawa, Manae Miyakoshi, and Ririka, will also appear in-game as NPC characters in sidequests.
Lastly, Sega published two gameplay videos. The videos feature Game Director Horii and Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama playing the game, with comments from some of the game’s cast: Kazuhiro Nakaya/Ichiban, Yuichi Nakamura/Joon-gi, Eri Kamataki, and Iroha Yanagi. At the end of the second video, Kazuhiro Nakaya/Ichiban and Yuichi Nakamura/Joon-gi also try out the in-game quiz. Nakamura does the Sega related quiz and it includes questions such as “In Sakura Taisen, what is the name of the squad Sakura Shinguji is part of?”. It’s pretty fun to watch if you’re a seiyuu fan. PS4 exclusive Yakuza: Like a Dragon is titled Ryu Ga Gotoku 7 Hikari to Yami no Yukue in Japan and will launch there on January 16. The game will come west later in 2020.
