ATWOW Modern Head Canons
After school Kids edition
Here are some headcanons nobody asked for but I'm still going to share them anyways 🤗
Jobs:
Lo'ak and Neteyam work at Mcdonald's across from Wendy's Aonung and Roxto work at the same mall
Lo'ak sometimes tries to steal apple pies but Neteyam stops him
Kiri works at Barnes & Noble
Tsireya works at Clare's and does piercings
Spider works a planet fitness
Shoes: this might seem random but shoes can tell a lot about someones personality
Tuk has a hot pink pair of crocs that are always in sports mode
Kiri has an old pair of doc martens she thrifted and refuses to throw them away
Spider wears black converse hightops and red ones to the gym
Tsireya wears jelly platform sandals
Lo'ak always wears his black and white checkered vans, and skates
Neteyam wears red and black Jordans
Roxto wears Nike blazer, black and gray
Aonung wears black airforces
School:
Jake and Neytiri give Tuk five dollars for each A she gets on her report card
Before working at McDonald's Lo'ak would ask Tuk for money for that zaza
Neteyam and Tsireya are in NHS and tutor for AP Psychology
Spider got a five on his AP Physics test while Lo'ak got a one
Kiri is really good at BIO and got a five on her test
Tsireya does community service every weekend at the local community center
Roxto helps Tsireya make cookies for said community center
Neteyam is always using his library card vs Lo'ak can never find his
Spider is great at P.E. and has gotten a reputation for the meanest dodgeball skills in school
Aonung and Lo'ak are on opposite soccer teams
Lo'ak smokes weed in the school parking lot and got caught by Neteyam who scolded him
At Home:
Neteyam always washes dishes after dinner
Tuk is an iPad kid
Tuk plays Minecraft and has the nicest cottage-core village ever
Kiri has too many plants in her room as well as crystals
Spider has a tarantula named Cupcake that Quaritch gave him
Neteyam has a vinyl record collection in his room
Lo'ak has an anime and manga shrine in his room
Tsireya's room is always clean and smells like coconut, she's also a Kpop stan and has photo cards and plushies in her room
Roxto has a habit of feeding any stray cat that comes by
Aonung is a competitive gamer and has a twitch channel with a lot of followers
The boys stay up past midnight playing COD
Lo'ak and Aonung always roast each other, Roxto's mic never works properly, Neteyam is always last to be revived, and Spider always plays as Ghostface (wink wink 🔪)

Okay I like to believe that one day the Team Skull Grunts are just arguing over which shoes they like better with half of them arguing Nikes and the other half is arguing about convers.
Like Nike Grunts would be like: Shut the fuck up. Nikes are supreme! Guzma wears them therefore they're the best.
Converse Grunts are like: Fair point but Converse are comfortable and come in more styles so we can express ourselves better like hightops, knee high, and platform.
Meanwhile Grunt Jim or something is like: "actually I wear vans and I think. . ."
and then everyone cuts him off to tell him that he's wrong.
This is what they'd argue about if they have nothing else to do and I would absolutely join them.

In other fitness-y news, because I have high fussy arches but weird grippy monkey toes, and because way back when I was seriously deadlifting my limiting factor was not my grip strength but the fact my feet hurt, and because I finally wore two inch wide holes into my last pair of vans hightops, I finally got a pair of barefoot style (totally flat, zero drop, wide toe box) shoes. I've been curious about true barefoot shoes for years, but I hadn't committed because they're usually expensive and also kind of hideous. but once I put them on: SUPER comfortable, and probably they were the only reason I could join yesterdays spontaneous pack mammal jog. Also, idk, in person, they're kinda...cute? Because they curve up at the front, they're weirdly snub nosed and...cute. Friend shaped. Not as clown shoe shaped as I expected. do my laces go before or after the velcro? no idea. very different technique required for running, but only minimal adjustments for lifting, and I feel WAAAAY better and more stable even doing for hip thrusters.

Types of shoes the ninja would wear.
Nya: my beautiful sea queen wears athletic sneakers. Not anything particularly special honestly, but she's athletic. She's strong. She needs good support for her souls, because she's a girlboss. 😘
Cole: so for Cole I have 2 ideas. Someone said he would wear Doc Martens, which is totally valid. I can envision the combat boots. He deserves combat boots <3 But in my head, I envisioned Cole wearing birkenstocks with like black socks. Idk I just envision him wearing socks and sandals, but specifically these sandals. Plus, he's TOTALLY a dad, so ofc he wears socks and sandals. 😄
Zane: Originally I said Zane would wear nice shoes. Like leather business shoes. But then, I found these beautiful things and I thought, Zane would 100% wear this. Turn on his funny switch, and these bad boys turn on. Light up Hightops. Let Zane do the Robot. 🤖
Pixal: she probably wears vans or something. Something cute and simple. I imagine her wearing the ones that cover your ankles. 😍
Lloyd: this little edgy child wears converse. He thinks he's so special too lol. So basic hehe 🤭
Jay: oh my fucking God he wears crocs 24/7 and I hate hate hate hate hate that. He is that insane person that has probably 10 pairs of crocs, and different jibbitz for each croc (yes they're called jibbitz). He wears them all the time, and I hate that so much. He probably has the winter crocs for when it gets cold. Sorry, I hate it 😡
Kai: this bitch wears exclusively name brand. He wants the expensive names. But, here's the thing. There are these really ugly shoes made by Kanye, they're well over $300 and they're the most atrocious things in the whole world. He would wear those. Looking at them makes me want to die. Look at them and tell me how much you hate them. 🤮

i really want converse. like i think they are so cool and the coolest people have converse. and i think i’m pretty cool so why not. i can wear them to school and out in public. i want black but i feel black is too bold so maybe a dark grey??? idk i like red, an olive green, white, and dark blue. BUT I WANT HIGHTOPS. vans are pretty cool shoes they kinda hurt my feet tho.

Dec. 6-Jan. 4, Washington
I continue to get out golfing almost once a week, loving my new, waterproof, hightop, golf shoes. Mittens for the hands and warm dry feet make standing water and cold temps a non-issue. Sadly, my game stays the same:-) Gae has been enjoying the local Port Angeles Garden Club immensely, and continued her volunteer reading with 4th graders at a local elementary.
We headed to Seattle for Gae’s Dr. appointment on the 13th, and were caught soon after by snow and very cold temperatures... nothing better than ice, snow and the hills of West Seattle to add excitment to an otherwise dull day!
The van’s check engine light blinked on within less than a mile on our drive to Seattle, so I ended up installing new plugs and wires while we were parked at our friend’s place for the Seattle visit. I’m not sure how well I did it, but the light hasn’t returned yet:-)
I got together with my college roomates, Andy, Mike and Dave on the 17th for a nice walk around Seward Park followed by eating, drinking and lively fun. I always have a blast with those guys. Gae got to enjoy making cards with her friend Maria while I was gone.
We got this great picture from Rob and Ben from their visit to Victoria via the ferry from Port Angeles... nice!
We joined some Toastmaster friends for dinner on our way to Enumclaw at Betty’s retirement place in Des Moines. Good food and great conversation.
We stayed in Enumclaw and our friends Daniel and Melissas, to take care of their dogs and cats while they took a Mexican Cruise. My first ever in Washington Ice storm struck while there, forming sheet ice on everything.
I made the drive to my brother Joe’s house in Bothell for Christmas Eve, thankful that enough of the ice had melted for a normal drive.
My nephew Noel gave these crazy hats to his 4 nieces, alien bugs all!
Gae and I stayed cosy with the pups and watched too much TV while haning out in Enumclaw.
I played the Enumclaw golf course on the 28th, and while excited to hit the green on an appoach shot, didn’t care for plugging the ball. The “lake” in back of the green is the fareway for this hole.
We drove to Olympia on January 1st to visit friends Dave and Diane, where we checked out the beautifully maintained trails through the complex. This was, of course, Gae’s favorite!
We took a waterfront walk with Dave and Diane on the 2nd, before departing for a last medical appointment for Gae in Seattle on the 3rd. We took this shot near the yacht sales office at the marina, where we look forward to Dave and Diane’s future toys;-)
