i mean this in all seriousness.....
every bonus and raise i get at work is cuz i taught myself adobe automation tools and javascript for adobe (even though i took cs in hs like, i could not find a class in what i wanted so i just had to self teach it)
but the only reason i self taught that was cuz i was overly obsessed with kpop
so as long as all my savings accounts are where they should be (percentage of income-wise)... so like 401k, emergency fund, down-payment fund.......(which.....are all invested and/or in high yield 4.5% monthly compounding interest accts and are making their own money)
i can just dump all my disposable income into kpop because if i wasn't unhinged about kpop, i would not have this much disposable income lol
i feel like this is 100% an original meaning of girlmath moment tbh
#personal#i mean i also.....budget like a crazy person and save like....20-25% of my yearly gross income lol#and was doing that when i was broke too......bc im nuts and also bc the same reason my mom was nuts abt saving#(my mom was afraid shed have another stroke so she saved sooo much for retirement...and then did have to#retire early....but not bc of stroke but bc she also had CANCER what the actual fuck#like shes never done drugs and barely drinks and was a professional dancer which is like...a literal athlete..#thats NOT FAIR)#soooo she taught me how to save and invest super early lol.....like she....had me put my#bday money in an investment account every year and i was only allowed to spend interest#(explaining interest on a CD to a 8 year old by saying its a free GBA game lmao)#that was literally how she explained the $30 of interest the cd made i was like...ooo free!! i like free free is good!!#i have like.....enough to cover 2 months of basic bills (not including paychecks coming in) in checking#and then everything else is invested or in high yield.....#im so mad rn bc my 401k isnt doing that great tho....like my high yeild and my brokerage accounts are doing better#like the 401k is pretaxed and i get a very generous employer match of 5% instead of 3% so its worth#putting the money there instead of having it in my paycheck and putting it with the broker#buuuuut its annoying me#like im definitely getting more overall out of putting in 401k....but i wish it was making the same interest as my brokerage is

hm. giving more thought to layla in relation to killing others bc the answer i gave off the cuff didn't seem exactly right. and it's very. grey, i suppose?
in general she doesn't go out of her way to kill people, sticking often to giving people second chances, even if the person doesn't seem repentant. but she also isn't going to spill tears for every person she kills (sorry ember, she's not as devoted to the idea as you, though she admires your dedication to it).
however there are times even she feels it's just not possible. with some she feels no remorse, such as with hulrun who she found vile in his zealotry, but in other cases it is. not smthing she takes any pleasure in doing, and is unable to let go of her sympathy for the person as she does it (wenduag....) to the point it haunts her long after it happened.
i suppose it's interesting in the two instances i can think off as the biggest examples of that scenario, with staunton and wenduag, she still tried to afford them some dignity or peace of mind in the end, like with allowing staunton to have a proper burial or with telling wenduag she was afraid of her potential in wenduag's last moments
camellia's death was an outlier, and is more an example in the position on having to keep making the calls on who lived or died affecting her negatively to the point she goes against what she would normally do in that situation, and then it haunts her because what if's will plague her afterwards.
does any of this make sense. no. i am tired and hungry
#ama mumbles#layla (oc)#lesson from this post: she is not a solider and she is being pressure cooked the longer in a position of authority she is#shes just a silly dhampir aha why are you making her a knight commander#also an interesting point to remember is she is a dirge bard! i know i make jokes about making skeletons dance and all that lol#but she has a genuine respect for the dead and the legacies they leave behind. she wont stop for every single dead but you know#she is not rlly leader but she also has very high charisma so ppl like to listen to her. unfortunately galfrey noticed this F#why do these deaths haunt you. bc i was incapable of saving them but perhaps they Could have been had smthing changed for them first#:for staunton and wenduag#versus bc i let my emotions get rid of someone i had come to trust over a span of a couple months in a single moment#i didnt even do it myself. for camellia#she Was going to let camellia live btw. but her emotions from wenduag were still running high alas#tho im sure she would have had to kill camellia later on anyway. and she would have felt bad about it then too tho probably. less so. lol#on discord i said she only kills in self defense which. is and isnt right necessarily. anyway i cant keep going on i need to eat#also another thin to take into account is she takes in the victims views into account!#playing through meeting hulrun before he is set on killing ppl on sight is i got to see his and embers convo#and it is so bad. but layla didnt kill him there bc ember said not to and her view on the situation takes precedent to her own disguist#anyway in her actual canon layla kills that man bc hes about to kill ramien she does not. get there early enough to have a calmish convo

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana 2023 Benefits & Interest Rates
Tumblr media
Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) is a savings scheme launched by the Government of India in 2015 as part of the "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" campaign. The scheme is designed to encourage parents to save for the future education and marriage expenses of their girl child.
Here are some of the benefits and interest rates associated with Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana:
High Interest Rates: The current interest rate for Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is 7.6% per annum (as of January 2022), which is higher than most other government-backed savings schemes.
Tax Benefits: Contributions to Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana are eligible for tax deductions under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The interest earned and the final maturity amount are also tax-free.
Flexible Investment Options: Parents or guardians can open an SSY account for their girl child with a minimum initial deposit of Rs. 250. They can make contributions in multiples of Rs. 100, up to a maximum of Rs. 1.5 lakh per annum. The account can be opened until the girl child attains the age of 10 years.
Long Maturity Period: The maturity period for Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is 21 years from the date of opening the account. This makes it an ideal savings scheme for long-term financial planning.
Partial Withdrawals Allowed: Partial withdrawals of up to 50% of the balance in the account are allowed once the girl child attains the age of 18 years, for the purpose of higher education or marriage.
Account Transferable: In case of a change in residence of the account holder, the account can be transferred anywhere in India.
Overall, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a great savings scheme for parents who want to secure their daughter's future education and marriage expenses. It offers high interest rates, tax benefits, and flexible investment options, making it a popular choice among investors.

adult financial responsibilities post incoming. does anyone buy US savings bonds (via the treasurydirect website)? right now i only have series I bonds bc the interest rate is pretty good (6.89%). the EE bonds don't seem worth it, the interest rate is only 2.1%, i get a better interest rate with my high interest savings account (even tho that's variable and dependent on how well amex is doing at the moment tbh) and it's more accessible and not limited by a $10k yearly deposit so it can compound faster. also there's no way i'm getting paper bonds. i doubt i'll even get $500 in tax return. i'll prob owe money instead lol. maybe i should change my allowances on my w-4 even tho i didn't think i claimed any except the 1 for myself as a single person. anyway i was gonna ask does anyone think EE bonds are worth it. bc i personally feel like i have better things to do with $10k.
