Succulents Part 4--Sempervivum, Echeveria, and Sedum

Succulents are a wide variety of plants, spanning multiple orders. Some have succulent leaves while others have succulent stems. Cactuses are succulents, but not all succulents are cactuses. Defining what exactly makes a succulent is a little tricky. For example, cabbage leaves are considered by some to be succulent, but tulip and onion leaves apparently aren't.

All photos mine. Unedited except for the middle bottom one. It was one of the first photos I took after my Olympus handheld camera broke. The lighting was this gorgeous rose, which my phone completely blew out. So I tried to bring that back. Still doesn't quite do it the justice a proper camera would have but it works well enough.

I don't know why I don't have more photos of these. Guess they're just not as readily accessible (tend to be in private rather than public gardens) where I am. Anyway these tend to be the ones people think of when you say "succulent" and it's easy to see why: those thick leaves are indeed quite succulent-looking.
