Self-taught artist? Went to art school? Why not both?????
Artist who went/is going to art school, but teachers ignored them/are never in class/just care about their favorites so they kind of had to learn things by themself and then go crawling like a worm to the professors and ask "like this?" And they grunt and nod instead of giving constructive criticism.

processing how deeply betrayed i feel by the ao/3 news and realizing just how much i trusted them. i've been in fic exchanges with big name volunteers. i've known people who could explain tag wrangling in detail. i'm in spaces where a not-insignificant chunk of the users are old enough to remember the birth of ao/3. i've known about several of their frustrating structural issues and their refusal to listen to outside sources to fix them, but...
the sheer pigheadedness in refusing to learn how to deal with cs/em and refusing to give the people handling the reports the tools and support to deal with it, the way they tossed out the one person who was trying to do right by them and then accused her of felony, the fact that they did jack shit to take care of the cs/em attacks or protect their supposedly ~beloved volunteers?
i'm horrified. i'm disgusted. i'm nauseous. i want nothing to do with them, at least until they clean up their act and install some extremely basic best practices and maybe while they're at it some fucking human decency.
it was such a safe space for fandom, and it was a safe space for me personally. knowing they were anti-harassment and pro-authors was what made it that. i really didn't think the hypocrisy would come down quite so revoltingly.
i was going to push myself to write more, but right now i feel like breaking into hives at the thought of continuing to use the site.
just... where do i go?

Not back into the full swing of things yet, but regarding some news i've heard about Redbubble's new fee policy, i'm not taking it down just yet.
Checking my account, it is surprisingly considered a 'Premium' one, so for now, i'm not having to pay an extra fee. Until that status changes, i'll be keeping it up. But i will be looking for other places to put my stuff on, so i have a backup for when that status inevitably changes.
