Hiiii I’m a lil dummy and I miss stuff sometimes oops so anyway here’s what I missed yesterday-- full audio of Zayn singing the song Leave Before You Love Me (released just a few days ago by the Jonas Brothers) was leaked by Zayn’s cousin! Seems that Z probably demo-ed the song back when it was being shopped around but it ended up going to JB- which would be our loss except heyyyy we get to hear Zayn’s version now anyway! It’s on youtube and it is GORGEOUS, check it out, and anyhow that explains the seemingly random promo tweet from Zayn yesterday- I should have KNOWN to look further, sigh, if Zayn is online there’s ALWAYS a reason. Side note, this is the other song (besides Our Song) that Plested wrote on that was released the same day that Niall was teasing him about the other day, as he is promoting both singles at the same time (and how they’re both smashing it.) Also Niall liked a post of Joe Jonas’ about the song yesterday. Basically: this song is ALL UP IN the updates!

And speaking of Niall and his promo- he continues to insist his pronunciation of Niall and Nile aren’t the same, “they’re absolutely not” he says and clarifies: “Nile and Ni-Al.” Ummm... As someone to whom his demonstration sounds literally indistinguishable I have to say I’m enjoying the show (and thank you Anne Marie, who said “THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME” for proving that not being able to hear it is not just an American thing). “Listen to me” insists Niall, and also insisted he has “handsome hunk energy” (not ‘big baby energy’ thank you very much)- and in case you don’t believe it he pulled down his shirt to show off his chest hair in an interview, COULD A BIG BABY DO THAT? About NH3 Niall says “this year, next year, no idea.” He and Anne Marie tell us about a deadbeat employee who was cut from the video-- “It’s not in the video but we paid this dog to speak, like ‘woof’ obviously, when he’s been told to speak... and he didn’t speak when we told him to,” Niall admits he’s a fangirl for The Eagles, and Anne Marie makes him turn bright red by calling him out for looking at himself in the mirror; Niall’s collab promo strategy is hilariously identical every time but damn it, it IS fun and cute and effective, so hey carry on! “That promo with Niall I was quite hyper. I’d had a sip of coffee by accident, I thought it was hot chocolate and it switched up my ADHD like woah,” Anne Marie says to explain herself, no excuses whatsoever are needed but lol. Tickets are on sale now for Niall’s (management company’s) golf tournament.

Harry’s photographer Helene Pabrum was interviewed in a new podcast- she answered lots of Harry questions and shared some lovely unseen pictures, from behind the scenes of HSLOT, music video shoots (as recent as TPWK even), and more. She tells us about what she thought when she first started out with him, “I was a little bit obsessed with the faces of all the fans in front of the stage. They were all at the same time crying and happy and so emotional and I was like wow so for me it was as interesting as the show itself,” and how the pictures they posted during tour were chosen-- “On tour when he wanted to post a picture to instagram I didn’t know if he wanted to post a live, or backstage or audience anything else one. So I would just sent a lot of pictures like take all of this, do what you want and he would post one… he is the one choosing the pictures, he’s the one deciding on them. He’s the one doing it and he’s very good at this. He decides…” and “if he doesn’t want to publish the picture he doesn’t do. It’s as simple as this.” (Meaning, I’d guess, that she was aware of the stupid discourse about how Harry probably doesn’t like her photos- uh huh yeah you can tell about how he has continued to hire her over and over for years- because he doesn’t look “good” in them, but at least we can finally put that to rest now right?? Fans: I don’t like Harry anymore because he doesn’t share enough personal stuff. Also fans: ugh why would he post pictures of himself looking human and accessible I hate this get it away, someone other than him is probably to blame! But she also says “I really feel happy and grateful that I receive so many really truly kind comments and kind messages” so that’s good.) Anyway, she also said her favorites are the candid ones, and “when you see a picture of him with just a t-shirt brushing his teeth it’s just great so for me, I was happy with his beautiful outfit and being simple.” She says he didn’t have much interest in picking up any French from her (or Camille I guess hmmm), “maybe he prefers speaking Italian,” and “I was really surprised to see him dancing. I was surprised in a good way, he’s young so he’s good at learning things really quickly.” (She’s only a few years older than him but he’s just got that Big Baby Energy, WBK!)

Meanwhile, Kill My Mind is soaring up the itunes charts worldwide and Walls got a boost as well as the fanbase got ProjectKMM underway, and two more Australia Louis shows were added ×͜×

Happy 27th Birthday to Harry! For Harry’s birthday, everyone gave us the gift of their unseen pics, from people who want to brag about being lucky enough to get to hang out and do friend stuff with him, behind the scenes pics from photoshoots and concerts and the TPWK shoot and charity visits, and sweet casual pics from extended family (and tributes to how lovely he is from the people who know him best, his relatives, such as “gorgeous man”, “youngest pup” (sooo ABO Harry is canon I guess), and “obnoxiously obnoxious”). Photo highlights include a moody chiarascuro shot from Helene Pabrum, cute snaps from Tokyo friends, a weird video from the Brits of him carefully pouring tequila from one bottle to another to make them have the same amount, and an even weirder contribution from Freddie’s grandma Ruth who posted a manip of him... and Louis.. and Freddie…?? UMMM OKAY THEN. She fits right in with the other instagram fans tbh, why am I even surprised. ANYWAY, speaking of hellholes where people want to believe everything at once even if there’s direct contradiction, twitter dedicated a moment to Harry. They weren’t wrong, he dominated the trends all day, and not only that all that seemed to be about him actually WERE as far as I know, unlike yesterday when there were so many Louis trends that the trend explainer person got overwhelmed and just started saying all the trends were about Louis (Freddie Mercury and Michael Clifford were actually getting talked about as it happens). But, important question here, does Liam Gallagher know it’s Harry’s birthday? “Of course, I’ve sent him some flowers”, he says, which if true is very sweet but also I hope “some” actually means a ludicrously huge quantity of some kind of weird-ass flowers as payback for the 2k worth of fish Harry sent him!

Not to be outdone by all this content, the powers that be brought us pap pics from the DWD set (taken Saturday). Harry, likely in reaction to doing the same photo op multiple times (you can tell by how he’s only carrying his bizarrely huge water bottle and wearing the costume ring in some pics), does a little goofy walk for the cameras in his period costume: slacks, tattoos covered, hair slicked, and the piece de resistance, a cute lil flowered apron!! I KNOW he’s gonna be all creepy and stuff in the movie and the frilly apron scene won’t be nearly as much fun as TODAY’S frilly apron scene, but still, can’t wait to see it. Florence Pugh joins him on the trailer to set pap walk(s), both masked up. Later there were more pics, with his massive water bottle again (which has motivating ‘drink more water’ encouragements on the side, you would think he got enough of that on twitter), but alas no more apron. People mag made an effort to make something of the fact that he and Olivia were both present on the set of the film they both are working on but they truly had nothing. I’m sure something ludicrous lurks just around the corner though...

The anniversary celebratory fanart has been taken down from Louis’ spotify but it looks like it was a hit-- most of the tracks have been put on one or another of their popularity driven weekly playlists and Defenseless in particular looks set to break into the top 200 this week. Walls sales, likewise, shot up over the anniversary.

Isolation continues: Niall played FIFA and complained about boredom and Louis tweeted Sky Sports to beg for footie reruns. I feel ya Louis, it is hard to be a fan and not getting any content during this trying time... ISN'T IT LOUIS. Sighhh. An interview with the assistant director of the Falling video had some behind the scenes details about the cool fake room they made and lowered into the giant tank of heated water with Harry in it. We learned that the whole production was absurdly expensive ($100k just to heat the water), that everything was made of steel painted to look like wood and such (except the one time use piano which was actual wood), that it was the same water tank used for Dunkirk filming, and, as always, that everyone was super impressed with what a great job Harry did. Also that he requested not to be raised all the way out between takes cause it was nicer in the giant bath. Helene Pabrum says before she was hired Harry said he liked the way her shots focused on the crowd and other people and not just him and she thinks that's why he chose her to be his tour photographer.

Well so much for vacation!Harry, looks like he's actually hard at work in Cancun (overnight, even!) Doing what you ask? Well he's filming something and it seems like maybe it's a music video? His production team, we have now learned, have been there for a couple weeks already trying to rent the whole neighborhood they shot in so no one could see what was going on; despite renting out 20 houses and having security swarming the entire neighborhood it seems they weren't totally successful as we got blurry pics and some reports. Their next tactic, sow confusion! Bystanders were 'asked to look away' during filming (haha the most low tech and honor system based security) by the hundreds of staff members controlling the site and were told that the filming was for a commercial for an energy drink, jarritos soda, or mayonnaise hmm yes very convincing. (God please let it turn out to actually be a mayonnaise commerical what an amazing turn of events that would be.) Anyway, there's video of him staggering around dramatically all wet (hopefully with water but I suppose it could be soda or mayonnaise) and flopped down in the street, and reports are that "hundreds of bouquets of violet, purple and a few bluish flowers were used for the video" (wow so many ways to say lavender) and that they recorded "sports sequences," including boxing. Harry Lambert is there and people are drawing connections to his recent posts about a project involving water and flowers and to the wet on site pics he and Molly Hawkins posted recently from a shoot in NYC, as well as him, Molly, and Helene Pabrum following Vincent Haycock, a music video director, on Instagram.

Niall, who said just the other day that okaaaay he would wear an earring, wore an earring! Wow! Now that's fanservice but damn it's got nothing on the sexy man about town pic he posted to his ig. He also liked a post condemning the US mass shooting epidemic.

Here comes the Gucci fragrance campaign! Today saw the release of some images for the print ad campaign- collage style with multiple pics, prominently featuring official Gucci model Harry Styles looking very pretty, as befits a model. It's all very Aesthetic and Nostalgic, or as Allessandro puts it, it's about "the idea of non-social freedom, the idea of non-era and non-place" which you can attempt to decipher for yourself; further descriptions of the campaign suggest a concept centering found family which is a fabulously queer theme to have, nice.

A major league (American) football player from LA posted a video of himself and his cute kid doing carpool karaoke of a few songs, including Only Angel with costume halos and wings on: Harry DMed him! Hello sir, said Harry, and continued with a very sweetly formal note asking him to let him know if he needed anything for his daughter, who appears to be quite the fan, and inviting them to a show next time he is on the road. The father proceeded to have exactly the breakdown you'd expect from someone who was surprised by Harry sliding into their DMs, it seems the little girl isn't the only fan in the family. Helene Pabrum posted some one year old pics today for the anniversary of the final HSLOT shows, a cute backstage pic and a couple of onstage shots, all from the last night of the tour.

Niall took fan pics in London today and resumed giving obvious answers on twitter: asked to judge blond vs brunet Niall he says, "both cute as fuck."

And Louis liked a DMAs post- I wonder if he's sorry to be in LA (if he still is) while they're playing UK shows, I hope he's able to go see them somewhere. EDIT: apparently he is still in LA, he was spotted at Six Flags today smelling like weed and riding roller coasters! Love that for him.

LTHQ has, quite rightly, announced the postponement of Louis’ North and South America tour dates “due to the ongoing uncertainty” around the pandemic. New dates will be announced “as soon as there is clarity on when it is safe for touring to happen again” and tickets will be valid for those new dates when they’re set. Siiiigh, yeah. With all the shuffling that had happened, these had become the earliest of the LT Tour dates scheduled, so now the first ones remaining un-postponed start in June with the Ukraine and Russia dates. It would be wild if those ended up going ahead and Kyiv got to be the tour opener show, I’m guessing they don’t get that kind of big show a lot! “Louis can’t wait to get back to doing what he loves most, which is performing for you,” the announcement says. “Stay positive,” Louis tweeted, “hope everyone is doing all right,” taking the words I want to say to HIM right out of my mouth. Maybe THIS will be the last of these sad announcements? We can only hope so.

Helene Pabrum is thinking about live shows too; in case you weren’t saddened enough by the LT Tour news, she posted a small collection of joyous colorful HSLOT crowd shots that make you feel like you’re there, captioned “keep shining ladies”. Meanwhile more pap pics of Harry from the DWD set are out today, including some of him out of costume in all white (including a vintage Motown t-shirt and slippers) and some of him in just a little bit of costume, just slacks and a whole lot of makeup covering his shirtless torso-- all his tattoos are fully disappeared! SO weird looking who even is this man? And Bobby Berk posted some throwback pics from when they did karaoke 2 years ago in Japan- the little weirdo looking mildly awkward in the curls and old man cardigan feels much more recognizable as our dear Harold.

Liam’s weekly FIFA podcast is out, continuing its journey around the world in matched up guests with two guests (as always, a footballer and a musician) representing Venezuela this week. Liam says South America is “the best place because everyone over there is so passionate,” talks about starting out in the industry so young, saying, “you see a lot of child starts who go off the rails and for me I thoroughly believe that it’s the people you have around you who are your role models, who are your mentors at the time. Cause there’s definitely been places that I’ve needed to be brought back from,” and tells about getting recognized at a random petrol station in the wilderness in Africa when they were driving out to film the Ant Middleton special. He also relates his quest to become even more of an icon to the grinder crowd than he already is- “before lockdown started I used to be an underwear model, now I look like a lumberjack.” Yes that’s right and both looks are heartily appreciated by the masses sir!

Louis followed a boxer on instagram who is I believe actually a boxer and not a MMA fighter but hell who knows anymore, and he cruised the replies to his tweet (you can tell cause he accidentally liked a random fan question then unliked), a new Zayn Martyr ad pic dropped, an extreme close up of Zayn’s, like, necklace area? What do you call that, decolletage? Anyway and of a martyr branded electric guitar he’s holding, weird, though the necklaces are the main focus. And with the Watermelon Sugar vinyl, sold in July and Aug, finally arriving in buyers’ hands, you would think that saga would at long last be happily concluded but NO! It seems the records maybe WERE already made and spent the long months sitting in a hot warehouse somewhere, cause many of them are arriving horribly warped (as heat exposure does to vinyl). The resulting discordant warbly underwater effect makes for an interesting remix version I guess, but it is definitely not what buyers were led to expect. Hey Jeff, is this one of the examples you’ll be using to showcase your organizational skills on that application to handle vaccine distro? We’re just wondering where to submit the testimonials about what a great job you’re doing!

Walls is out almost everywhere! She's making her way across the globe and you can track the release by following the iTunes number ones as they stack up one after another, over 35 countries and rising, including the UK, and Brazil swooping in to get it to #1 before it was even technically released, now that's just showing off! "Incredible" (5x), "mind blowing," "I can't believe it," and "THIS IS UNREAL!!!" says Louis, he is overwhelmed, I'm overwhelmed, we're crying, you know Louis ("I'm an easy crier") cried, what a time to be alive y'all! Reviews and interviews are everywhere ("Walls winds up being the most mature and natural of the ex-1D bunch" says one), and more pictures and videos than anyone can keep up with- Louis posted a cute vid of him signing all our stuff at his house, there are pap pics of his early morning arrival in NY for his three day promo whirl, TMRW Magazine have been flooding us with pics from the 100 page (!) all Louis special edition onsale now (site: crashed. Obviously. But eventually it recovered and made the sales.) We've got Louis talking about every song individually in more than one place, things we haven't heard before and sweet things we have and gems like him talking about the universal experience of being 18 and meeting "the person that you might spend the rest of your life with," that "love is only for the brave," and that he wrote Perfect Now as a sternly worded fuck you to anyone who doesn't like 1D because he loves "the music that we made, the fans, the culture, and everything behind it." Jamie Hartman has meanwhile turned into a full on twitter stan and yelled at Harry, Liam, Niall and even Zayn to support Louis' album: Liam did though! He tweeted "well done man through all your wins and your hard times you did it." There is one someone that decided to excuse themselves from the Louis narrative though: allegedly Vue cinemas intended to hop on the publicity and make a fuss about him having worked there pre-fame but after a look at his old employee disciplinary file decided perhaps they would just quietly refrain from praising him, lol. Next up, Louis on the Tonight Show: I heard they watch footage of Louis in Grease! Can. Not. Wait.

Louis is obviously dominating the news cycle for the moment with the big album release but also the Flames video is out! Like is this even a music video it's a MOVIE, there's so much to see and it's worth the long wait just for the huge crowd of synchronized dancers, who doesn't love that- Zayn doesn't pop up much but when he does he delivers. It's big and flashy and slick and fantastic! Zayn's pretty face isn't in it which is disappointing but it was his vision, so he's there in (dark, dystopian) spirit.

And we've got a brief Eroda video making-of from the CGI studio that made our favorite jewelfish- Harry showing his acting chops by emoting at the empty space where a fish should be is definitely priceless so it's a good one. Billboard names him as an early contender for a 2021 Grammy and we got a glimpse of his 'flamingo flair' mani pedi, how very Jack McQueen of him. Liam was announced as a headliner at the Camp Bestival festival in late July and seen being photographed for Paris Match by Helene Pabrum, and a cute baby pic of Niall was posted.

Obviously our grief for Fizzy and love and concern for Louis continue to be the main conversation. We all grieve in our own ways, and can hopefully let each other be to do that. Multiple fundraisers have been set up to honor the Tomlinson-Deakin family's loss and are seeing an outpouring of generosity. There has been a massive public show of love from industry folks and friends of the family and of Louis who are posting messages of support and care for Louis and his family. Louis has cancelled scheduled obligations and management have apparently officially suspended promo of the release. As reported yesterday, Louis did not perform as scheduled at Comic Relief tonight but the broadcast included a thoughtful mention of the tragedy. For those wishing to support, Harry has posted a fundraising link to his Facebook.

Harry is back in the public eye, being papped yesterday and stepping out to be photographed with fans today. Whatever you may think his relationship to the Tomlinson family is, he met Fizzy when she was eight years old and has had a close relationship with all of the siblings; it is painful to see him being accosted by happily smiling fans who had been posting about trying to find him for a picture but he was, as ever, gracious and professional. Anyway, he won the iheartaward, not surprising news after iheart practically announced they were going to rig it already knew the winners by arranging to fly that Harry UA out for the ceremony before results were in, and he has the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame thing coming up so I think we can expect to see more of him over the next couple of weeks whatever his state of mind; personally I deeply wish for people who may encounter him to treat him with respect, even if that means leaving him alone.

Happy 25th Birthday Harry!!!

For anyone who enjoys a picture of Harry Styles and come on, what's not to love, today was a Very Big Day. First, Helene Pabrum posted a pic that will be a classic for the ages, mark my words. Some people found it annoying in that it was clearly meant to be released (going by the inclusion of the Rob Sheffield book) but most were just glad it was released with its glistening hitties and beautiful lighting, swooning all around. Harry's cousin posted a throwback pic with Stan in it, Waseem posted a pic of Harry glaring intently at a pool game, Sarah Jones gave us Harry cuddling with her and Mitch, and when we were all half dead already Alister Mackie allowed himself to be bribed by the promise of a corn chip from a fan and tipped us over the edge with approximately 100 outtakes from the Another Man photo sessions, including our boy in that flowery field in a straight up dog leash that hadn't been visible in the published pics. Another Man mag made the Harry issue available to read free online until Mon. Pics were posted of Harry with Camille Rowe from 2017; he's wearing a shirt with a huge ass pride rainbow on it, lol.

Naturally there were lots of pictures from Japan as well. The video from Mt Fuji was from Jan 1 and the outfit in it suggests that many of the pics we've seen were from that day. There were various random ones, and Kunichi Nomura (who, evidence suggests, has some tie to Jeff/ HSHQ) posted yet another pic with Harry in the background. His blurry lil self is wearing braces and a hat shaped like a birthday cake! It was posted 5 am Tokyo time which was convenient for maximum exposure to European and American fans and it could have been taken at any time at all.

In completely unrelated news, Louis, previously MIA for weeks, was suddenly Placed in L.A. by a video from Jordan Green and a change to his ig location. He was playing footie with the lads! In a beanie! It would be the best two seconds of most days no contest, but stiff competition today so I'm gonna call it a draw for this reporter. Not only that, there is reason to believe music stuff is happening! Jordan posted from Village Studies, a famous studio where, among many other things, part of HS1 was recorded. Jordan's pic had something in it that isn't usually there though, a PIANO! God help us all if they're recording Louis playing that piano. We're unlikely to find out anytime soon though- Sony documents show that LT1 will not be released this quarter (a period ending in April). Disappointing news indeed and many are taking it hard, but the single could still come out at any time.

Eleanor posted some pics of Clifford and Bruce, I guess to establish that she dogsits for Louis while he's out of town? Seems like that could bite them in the butt pretty hard next time they want to use her posting dog pics to suggest that he's with her but sure okay. I mean, I don't even necessarily believe SHE'S with the dogs but Clifford looks great and that's the important thing.

Niall is promoting the RTE orchestra Flicker with a video of So Long, because he heard the fans saying they wanted a recording of the song he was playing on tour and ponied up when would your fave ever*coughHARRY* (JK love you hbd Harry babe!) But anyway thank you Niall Horan, Man of the People! He also tweeted a happy birthday to Harry and chatted more with Derry Girls actress Nicola Coughlan who said he was a "model customer" when she waited on him. No no, he's a MODEL! If you ever need help remembering Nicola, just think "shake like ...vibrato... a _____ , or some kind of bottle..."

Meanwhile rumors flew about Liam! It was suggested that his constant companion of the last few months, Edward Enninful, was less than constant to his long term partner, Alec. An anon suggested that Edward and Liam appearing alone at recent events could be connected to said partner unfollowing Liam on social media. Shocking if true! While Edward's post showing his and Liam's pictures snugged up close beside one another in a wedding-like place setting was, indeed, interesting, it seems that his partner never did follow Liam so we have no reason to suspect untoward behavior. This is good news but I had gotten so excited to talk to you all about a ship name for the pair! I mean come on Payneful was just RIGHT THERE!!! Oh well.
