I love my hedgehog Freya even though she she makes big messes and tears all things to smithereens while wearing big fluffy dresses How she tracks in mud after it rains and snarls as soon as she sees you I love her though she’s a pain And everyone knows it’s true. Why just today she took a nap and to do it she crawled in my books not minding the pages that flap or caring just how silly she looked... I'm getting a pet hedgehog! I got the cage, food, water and food containers, hideout bed, and wheel last night. The litterbox should be here today and the carrier and cage bedding should be here tomorrow. I get paid Friday so I'll buy a bulb for the heat lamp after work. Then, on Saturday, I'm gonna go get her!!!! Her name shall be Pumpkin! Here's the cage so far:

This poor hedgehog arrived at the centre with two large abscesses on either side of his body. Although he was still quite lively, one of the accesses had already burst and he needed treatment. Once the hedgehog was sedated, our vets carefully removed the necrotic tissue and cleaned up the wound site before suturing it closed.
