I am still waiting for even one Amber Supporter to answer basic questions:
If Johnny has cut Amber more times than he has even punched her, then why doesn't she have an photo evidence of that? Why did she take a photo of Johnny sleeping on the floor as evidence that he passed out after cutting her in a drug-fueled rage and when Camille asked why she didn't take a picture of the actual puncture wound, all Amber could do was stare blankly and say that didn't occur to her...
Why is it that when Amber went to a hospital claiming to have two black eyes, a busted lip and a broken nose, the medical report described nothing of the sort? Amber insists the report isn't complete, even though the report shown in court had the complete description of Amber's face highlighted? Why doesn't Amber's lawyers have the complete one if this is just obfuscation?
Why is it that four police officers, including one female officer who is specifically trained to intervene and domestic abuse cases, in a state that requires domestic abuse reports even if no one charges, not think domestic abuse occured in Johnny's apartment?
Why did Amber give Johnny a hunting knife for his birthday when she also claimed that just a few months prior he was regularly cutting her with glass?
Why is this entire case built on Amber Heard claiming she didn't want anyone to know that Johnny ever abused her, therefore every single media exclusive was made by her friends, lawyers, family, and agents without her knowledge or approval.... And yet... Not a single friend, family, lawyer, or agent can corroborate this story, and Amber doesn't actually name anyone?
Why is it that on a secretly recorded 8 minute long rant where Amber lists everything she hates about her husband, she calls him passive, week, and a coward who runs away at the first sign of conflict, all of which are the exact opposite descriptions of physical abuser, but not once in these 8 minutes does she mention 4 years of cutting, beating, punching, pinning down, or raping her? She spends more time mocking 21 Jump Street then claiming he made her life a living hell by beating her.
Why is it that Johnny Depp has more than three different secret recordings of Amber being a colossal, unfiltered bitch admitting to slapping him, calling him in a pathetic excuse of a man for not giving her children, mocking him for doing the exact opposite of what an abuser does - run AWAY from conflict - and Amber's ONLY video after FOUR years of abuse that she claims started before she even married Johnny (lol) is a video of him slamming doors... And then WALKING AWAY FROM CONFLICT.
Why did Amber refuse top-of-the-line private security after telling her boyfriend that Johnny raped her, saying that it'll be okay because she "put out a restraining order"?
Why was Johnny able to record Amber begging for his attention and for him to hug her after she not only claimed he raped her, but already put out a restraining order? Why was Amber breaking her own restraining order to beg for a hug from her rapist, but her rapist was saying "I'm nothing to you and I never have been. We'll never see each other again. You will never see my eyes again."
Why did Amber dismiss the restraining order immediately after winning her $7 million and then issue a joint statement saying that their "relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm"?
Why hasn't Amber donated the full $7 million she promised from her divorce to the ACLU and LA Children's Hospital, and why didn't she do it in the 13 months before Johnny ever sued her, but she uses Johnny suing her as the reason she only ever gave $350,000? Why did she ask friends to give their money in her name? She literally told everyone she doesn't need this money but pocketed it all and asked her new boyfriend to donate for her.... Also, by that logic, even IF Johnny had paid the full divorce settlement, why didn't she and her new billionaire boyfriend just pay the children's hospital and why hasn't Amber ever filed any petition with the courts to get the money she claims Johnny failed to give her?
If you're only response to any of these questions is "rot in hell" or "how dare you", you are doing a disservice to yourself as a woman. Don't men say we are illogical and rules by our emotions? Wouldn't it be nice to..
Prove we aren't?

you know, i was speaking to a lawyer friend during the johnny depp/amber heard trial and brought up a few things thaat really put the whole thing into perspective.
firstly, that the constant media attention on the case means it was probably almost impossible to properly get the jury to only focus on the facts that were brought up in court. if either of them wanted to know, they could claim a mistrial on the basis of a tampered jury (i believe amber is attempting to do this? like, not exactly, but the article i read said she was alleging that one of the jurors was never chosen for jury duty? atm i am not sure what that means and what could be done about it but i will ask my lawyer friend)
secondly, she said defamation was an . . . odd thing for a domestic abuse survivor to sue for. if a domestic abuse survivor sues at all, it's usually for damages to like, property, or emotional damages because it's easier to prove property damage or emotional damages than domestic violence. plus, it doesn't often require you to relive trauma and prove the abuse happened, just that property was damaged or that you were, in fact, traumatized.
suing for defamation is a great why to get someone to shut up. suing for defamation requires the defendant to prove their accusations were true.
suing a domestic abuse survivor for defamation forces them to relive their trauma in a public space.
it is a great way to humiliate a victim and show you still have power over them.
that second point is what changed my mind about the case.
because you see these clips of the case and johnny depp was always fucking smirking and grinning when amber was testifying.
depp stans like to say he's laughing because 'she's trying so hard' but like
after those texts came out?
he was enjoying how humiliating that was for her.

i tried holding off talking about this trial, but i haven't seen anyone discuss this aspect of it and its incredibly important imo
regardless of who you stand for / if you stand for anyone – the ableism that's seeped into the online treatment of Amber Heard is terrifying;
the policing of her emotions, of her script-like testimonial, of her rapidly changing or incongruous facial expressions – it just mimics the policing that's imposed on neurodiverse people in general because, guess what? ND people are known to have these traits ! here's a non-exhaustive list of ND traits that people have bullied or mocked amber online for:
-autistic people will often reproduce scripts or quotes from media to aid communication (yes this could include citing a book to describe your abuser, like amber did)
-autistic people may also have 'flat affect' or facial expressions that don't match what's expected by neurotypical peers (this can mean anything from smiling at seemingly inopportune times to describing traumatizing events with no visible facial emotion, etc); other neurodivergencies may cause the person to rapidly switch between emotions as they emerge (like quickly stopping tears, going from being visibly upset to laughing etc)
-neurodiverse people can have atypical memory retention or poor memory recall (meaning that oftentimes those who are autistic or have adhd, ptsd, bpd among others will have these issues, specially when recall is needed for a stressful situation like a trial)
Neurodiverse people have spent weeks seeing the way the public, their friends and families have been treating amber online & how they doubt her over these traits; and considering that ND folks are at higher risk of abuse ( example studies for autistic and adhd folks: x, x ) it wouldn't surprise me at all if a lot of us would become even more afraid to speak out and seek support.
this isn't just a celebrity trial, it has real life consequences to abuse victims everywhere, specially marginalized victims. its time that people analyzed their own internal biases.

Why the fuck is it plain misogyny to beleive Amber Heard is not being completely honest and that she may herself have been abusive.
You can't just throw misogyny at people who are looking at a trial with two sides presented that don't agree with you. It's ridiculous and narrow minded and disingenuous.

I just want to say, flat out, that I think Amber Heard is a narcissist, but after this Heard v Depp trial ended and a bunch of American right wingers started using the verdict to torture women who have accused them of abuse, I’m beginning to wonder if the intense support for Johnny Depp (of which i held as well until recently) was 1) warranted and 2) a damning sentence that will send us down a dark path as we revisit the #MeToo movement. Let me begin this by saying that even the clips I saw of Amber Heard gave me the impression that she had some intense mental health issues. I recognized some of my own toxic traits within her, and personally, I felt that something about her was off. I still believe that. What made me stop in my tracks in my support for Depp, however, was a twitter thread I randomly came across that clearly stated all the times Heard had been allegedly abused by Depp. There were many, and they were clear as day. Heard won that case in the UK for a reason. So, why did Depp win this case? Why was there such overwhelming support for Depp, even though Heard had clear examples of abuse? I have a few theories. The most obvious one being Amber Heard’s lawyers. I wondered, when I first saw them, if this was a joke. I thought this was just some big publicity stunt, and honestly, it may be. Aquaman 2 is set to release in less than a year, and Heard plays one of the main characters. My second theory is Heard’s lawyers were purposefully unprofessional to enhance the viral-ness of the trial, which ties in to my first theory. My third theory is that this was a classic celebrity narcissistic abuser v celebrity narcissistic abuser absolutely shmeared with hearsay and unmentionable acts (the shit on the bed, Depp’s finger being cut off) that Depp’s often drug-fueled rage seemed tame compared to Heard’s seemingly psychotic breaks. His abuse was a common type of abuse, sinister but easily painted as a “mistake” because he’s a Hollywood golden child. Heard’s was off the rails; perhaps she would try to mend the relationship and fail consistently, bottle all her emotions, then let them loose in a fiery hellstorm of creative punishment. Don’t get me wrong, I personally think they are both abusers, and I will probably be unable to watch them in movies for a long time now. However. The absolute backlash against Heard and how it has contributed to tiktok memes making fun of her, right wingers spewing misogynistic garbage, and the revival of the #MeToo movement that left true (male) victims like Terry Crews and Brendon Fraser in the dust frightens me. This trial had way more impact than any of us could have predicted, so everyone buckle up for another unfortunate chapter in future American history textbooks

Amber Heard doing her first interview since the verdict and making a point about how unfair the trial was, like it was being played for sport and how badly she was treated online is so brilliant because every brainwashed depp supporter who mocks it or leaves a mean comment under the video will literally be proving her point.

amber claimed johnny abused her. johnny claimed amber abused him. this case is a mess and bad for dv victims regardless.
and it being viewed as entertainment rather than a serious judicial matter is disgusting

I can't stress enough that the only people who believe Amber's punch bruise pictures are sheltered women who have never seen a punch to the face in their lives.
"He punched me in the face more times than I can count... I don't remember if he was wearing his rings, I don't think he was, but I really don't know."
I'm not mad she didn't count the alleged punches. I'm mad that she thinks it makes a single iota of sense to say being punch by a bare fist and being punched by a fist with chunky metal rings produces the same level of pain, or produces the same damage on a person's face.
Amber knows that every story she tells of being punched has a Catch-22. She knows that EVERYONE KNOWS that Johnny Depp wears rings on all his fingers all the time. She admits in the trial that, yes, Johnny wears his rings all the time. But at the same time, it's common sense that being on the receiving end of a grown man's punch while wearing 3-4 rings would produce enough damage that is makes ABOSOLUTELY NO SENSE that Amber's never sought medical treatment and that her "bruises" photos are so small, lightly red, with NO broken or cut skin. (Or swelling or welts...)
So, Amber's solution to make these outrageous claims that Johnny would SPONTANEOUSLY punch her in SUDDEN drunken or drug-induced rages is that he was magically NEVER wearing his rings.
Oh, and another point I will never stop making: all of these "bruises" pictures are bright red, and bruises are only bright red for the first 6-8 hours of existing because, NEWS FLASH, arteries and veins that have ruptured and red blood cells that have spilled out under the skin lose their oxygen and iron/hemoglobin and a bruise is purple/black in 24 fucking hours. There is a reason we call them black eyes and not red eyes. Then, as the red blood cells decompose, the bruise turns green. Amber, being a Hollywood actress who only knows how bruises work through movies, has never taken a picture of a bruise over time. Taking a picture of a bruise when its black and deeply contrasting against her pale skin would actually be more emotionally stirring. But Amber's too fucking stupid to know that.
Now, having only red pictures implies Amber RUSHES to take pictures of these punches within hours of them happening. If I actually believed she was a victim of domestic abuse, I'd applaud her for doing this. I don't believe her for one simple reason: Amber Heard technically has MORE allegations of Johnny CUTTING HER than she does of Johnny punching her, but she mysteriously doesn't have ANY photos of ANY punctures or gashes.... wounds that would be harder to fake for candid, close up photos. NOT A SINGLE ONE. She also doesn't have any bruise pictures for bruises that would be harder both fake or to claim that she covered them with make-up: she has claimed that Johnny Depp, an overweight grown ass man, has kneed her in the back and hurt her, pinned her arms and wrists, and punched her from behind. She HAS to claim Johnny has hit her more times from the back than the front, because, again, it's a Catch-22. She always has to make these fights sound like it was impossible for her to hit Johnny back, as part of the overall narrative that they never fought each other, it was solely Johnny hitting her.
So when Johnny's lawyers point out that she was wearing an immaculate backless, sleeveless dress immediately after an alleged incident where Johnny beat her from behind, the only thing Amber can say is that it's a miracle she didn't get bruised from a beating. When Johnny's lawyers ask why she doesn't have a single photo of any of the cuts with glass, she literally says that it never occurred to her that she'd have to one day PROVE Johnny abused her. (Wha, wha, what?!) She also uses the circular logic that Johnny was cutting her MORE OFTEN when they FIRST got together and was punching her more often at the end of their relationship, which ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN TRAINED IN DOMESTIC ABUSE COUNSELLING AND INTERVENTION (like me) knows that that sounds impossible. I was a manager at a hospital for THREE YEARS and had training to spot the signs of abuse and react to them with compassion and emotional intelligence and I've never heard anything more ridiculous than the timeline of Amber's allegations.
Amber Heard's allegations of Johnny's violence follows NO escalation pattern. She claims he CUT her more often in the "honeymoon period" of their relationship. Who does that?! This isn't a comment on if women or men are "stupid" enough to stay with a person they've only known less than a year who are already cutting them. It's a statement of how abusers actually escalate from rude remarks about how much their partner annoys them, to yelling and nitpicking, to damaging the environment, to feeling they deserve to hit the victim because they won't learn how to make them happy, to becoming apologetic and the cycle of abuse starts where they cycle between becoming very apologetic and thinking they will become more patient with the partner and then snapping again because they still aren't satisfied with the partner and keep going back to the thinking that it's the partner's fault.
Now, this cycle is VERY clear from Amber's side, where ON AUDIO, she is recorded of LISTING all the "disappointments" she has in Johnny, the kinds of things that would take time to develop: he promised to give her kids and HE failed to (Amber's only child was through a surrogate mother, so she was clearly projecting her issues with pregnancy and fertility onto Johnny), Johnny was a laughing stock of Hollywood and she was embarrassed to be associated with him, Johnny's too PASSIVE and not a real man because when Amber wants to argue with him, he runs away. Wow, you'd think in an 8-minute screaming match where she spent more time mocking the movies Johnny has starred in, she'd mention all the times this passive, weak-willed, infertile, old man punched her...
It's very clear from the tit-for-tat "she did this, he did that" of Johnny and Amber's accusations that Amber Heard's random and inconsistent allegations are because when Johnny has a complaint about her, anything at all, Amber has an outlandishly terrible allegation of abuse to overshadow his complaints. Johnny doesn't go to Amber's birthday party and resents her telling him that her party is more important than him visiting a sick relative, so Amber says that morning he pinned her down and threatened her life, so that explains why she was so short-tempered at her birthday party. Johnny runs away from Amber to avoid an argument and he records her arguing that a slap is not hitting. Amber insists that Johnny was in a drug-induced rage right before that audio tape and she was chasing him around the house out of WORRY that he was going to hurt himself. Johnny says Amber is the one who cut off his finger tip with a bottle she slammed on his hand.... AMBER ACCUSES HIM OF RAPING HER WITH THE BOTTLE.
Therefore, the only way to believe any of this obvious bullshit is to have absolutely no training in domestic abuse intervention, training not based on 1 or 2 personal anecdotes, but based on case studies of HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of abuse victims over decades of research. Meanwhile, the female police officer who interviewed Amber immediately after an alleged abuse situation did not believe she was a victim because her narrative of allegations made as little sense to that trained officer as they do to me. What are Amber's lawyers going to say? That female police officer had dinner and drinks with Johnny, too?
Therefore, the only way to believe any of this obvious bullshit is to be politically dedicated to "believe women" instead of respecting the CIVIL RIGHTS that all of us have that a person should be treated as innocent until proven guilty by due process and a jury of their peers. I'd love to hear a feminist say "believe women" and Black Lives Matter at the same time. What do they have to say when a white woman is screaming into her phone that she's being assaulted by a black man while the black man in question is video taping her from 15 feet away? "Believe women, except if its white woman against black man, then believe black men because racism, except if its a black man against a black woman, then believe women again." Therefore, the only way to believe any of this obvious bullshit is to be a sheltered suburban woman who has never seen a boxing match, an MMA fight, the aftermath of a fucking football game, a schoolyard fight between two stupid kids, any other ACTUAL domestic abuse victim, international photos of refugees and soldiers with bruises, or the personal experience of a Southern mother or grandmother beating their ass with a belt, extension cord, or switch off a tree.
Have you ever had to pick the branch and break it off so that you'd give it to your grandmother so she can smack your thighs with it? Have you ever had to retrieve the belt and give it to your dad so he could whoop your ass? Have you ever had to rub the welts with a numbing ointment and watch the bruises turn purple? No. You haven't. If you did, you'd see the photos of a pale white woman with a slight dusting of red on her cheek as the fake-ass bullshit it is.

As someone who claims to stand for womens rights (laughable) scamber is setting you all back 50 years and it's a good thing too. Hope you're ready to get used in the streets like you belong. All women like you deserve it. Especially for trying to ruin Depp like this. He was in the right to smack her around a little bit that shit was funny lol
I don't want anyone to report this. I want the people who support Depp to see what kind of views their allies have. What kind of motives are behind their vehement support for a man with a decades long history of substance fueled violence and multiple documented admissions of guilt. Just why exactly they are so loyal in the name of male victims but yet stay silent when male victims like Terry Crews and Brendan Fraser came forward about their stories of assault.
It's never been about supporting male victims. What protests do you go to, what charities do you donate to, what policies do you vote for anon? In the name of stopping violence against men? Do you know that most male victims are assaulted by other men? Specifically IPV in queer male relationships? Do your views take into account queer male victims? Are you even aware how racial dynamics between male victims of color and white abusers can completely change how their cases are viewed by our justice system? Or how inaccessible proper legal representation can be for victims in poverty, leaving them vulnerable to litigation abuse from their wealthier abusers? Do you take any initiative beyond yelling online and attempting to silence the voices of female victims? Because that's your goal here. You and so many others attacking female survivors of DV, of SA, of IPV in the name of male survivors is so disgusting and a direct attempt to deny the historical and statistical proof of the imbalances in power between men and women.
The obvious SA threat insinuation in this comment, the overall victim blaming, and the humour you find in the situation are not uncommon. You are not special.
When a world that has been catered to you at every moment suddenly makes you own up to your atrocious behavior, those seeking justice can feel like a personal injustice to you. You say Heard is a scam. That she's setting women's rights back in trying to "ruin" Depp. If you and so many others were genuine in these concerns and accusations you would be EVEN MORE worried about the repercussions this case can have for survivors EVERYWHERE. You would be uplifting voices to combat the misogynistic rhetoric that's sprouting up again or providing resources and research that aid all victims.
All liberation from abuse of power is intrinsically intertwined. Justice for some is justice for none.
