One of the things that pisses me off about this #MenToo bullshit is that it's so obviously performative and doesn't actually give a damn about male victims; it's just a backlash against the MeToo Movement covered in a couple of progressive words and thinly vielded misogyny.
Where was your "MenToo" when Terry Crews was sexually assaulted and people all over internet were laughing in his face?
Where was your "MenToo" when Ray Fisher was abused by Joss Whedon?
Are you gonna stand against Kevin Spacey and support his victims?
Why is it that you never showed up for these men, but all of a sudden you show your asses for a washed-up piece of shit who's list of abuse spans multiple people over decades? You won't stand out for a black man, but when a white man lies and starts a misinformation campaign against his ex-wife and claims that she actually abused him- despite the fact that it was proved he abused her years earlier- now all of a sudden ya'll care for male victims? Fuck outta here

It's bitterly funny to me that people still think cancel culture is a real thing. So many men have been accused of sexual violence and gone on to enjoy high-profile careers.
Men get "cancelled" and then go on to become Supreme Court justices and the President of the United States. Women get mercilessly ripped to shreds when they name their attackers.

i can be friends with someone who has different political beliefs than me to a certain extent but i can’t ever be friends with anyone who doesn’t believe amber heard. i don’t trust their critical thinking skills in the slightest. i think anyone who doesn’t believe her is a raging idiot in the most sinister way and i hope they all see reason eventually and feel deep horrific shame that follows them to their grave for the vitriol that they participated in.

I went to the movie theater yesterday to see Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom and as I expected it, Mera was the best part of it. Her scenes were the best, she's clearly the best fighter and she is not exploited as her fair value.
It's so sad that Amber Heard has been sidelined considering How much she loves Mera. It would have been epic to see her fight with the dark trident, corrupted Mera would have been such a good trope.
Anyway, I want to watch Mera and I was not satisfied but I was happy to support Amber in this project.

As you may be aware we had to close our DMs due to the uncontrolled abuse we were receiving. I am so sorry to all the survivors seeking help and solace in our DMs, but the death threats were escalating in violence and descriptiveness so we needed to close it for our own wellbeing.
I want to start by saying I am so sorry. I am so sorry to all the survivors who now feel completely helpless after this verdict. I am sorry to the victims who now feel they can't speak up about their abuse for fear of legal reprisal. I am so sorry to the silent victims who now feel like they won't be believed. I believe you.
This may be a dark thought, but one thing I want to make clear: please, do not hurt yourself or do anything you can't take back. I know it may seem like there is no hope, but we have no idea how this is going to turn out. She can appeal. Any settlement will be paid by her insurance, not by her directly. If anything, this gross miscarriage of justice and clear violation of freedom of speech could trigger a big legal reprisal and there may be organisations willing to represent her pro bono. I have already seen lots of prominent feminists and domestic violence organisations condemn the verdict, and the collective outrage could trigger real change.
All of us are worried about Amber's wellbeing. Thankfully she has a beautiful baby daughter to love and an incredibly tight network of friends and family that support her through everything.
I would also like to thank all of the people who have supported this blog -- allies, survivors, feminists, male victims, ex-Depp fans. We will get through this together and we won't stop fighting until Amber gets justice.
💜

Melissa Benoist literally has anisocoria from her ex abusing her so violently that her iris tore and left her pupils two different sizes, but you fucking vultures really want to accuse her of making this up because you've taken this trial as an excuse to never believe women ever again.
But sure. You're definitely not virulent misogynists or anything. Right.

Hi, this is probably pretty off topic from the rest of your blog, but I would like to thank you for changing my opinion on the Depp/Herd case. After I saw some of your posts, I ended up going more into research and I kn9w how foolish I believed when I thought Depp was not physically abusive. Hope your having a good day, and thanks.
Hi! So sorry for the super late reply, I’ve been more active on Twitter this last week.
I was also on depps side for a while too. Pretty much up until the trial. I remember watching it and I couldn’t shake my gut feelings that something wasn’t right. The way he wouldn’t look at her and the reason he gave for that didn’t sit right with me. It didn’t seem like a victim response, it seemed like another way to undermine her. Then she was getting labeled with mental disorders by some quack doctor, which really struck a chord with me because that’s what has happened to women throughout history - label her as “crazy”. And the whole media circus around the trial as well as learning the daily wire contributed a large chunk of money to it. Idk all these things kept lining up and so I decided to dig further and welp, it completely changed my view. If you want more resources and if you haven’t checked her out already - medusone has some great videos about the trial over on YouTube. They’re a bit long but are fantastically done! Thank you for being willing to change your mind on the topic. So many fall victim to sunk cost fallacy or just don’t want to admit they were wrong.
