Someone pointed out to me in one of my posts that the reason Perry was SO pissed off during OWCA files was bc he's jealous Heinz was spending time with so much of his co-workers, and Ive since been thinking about this and I genuinely hate how much this makes sense.
Obviously that isn't the ONLY reason, but. This is the second recorded time where Heinz ends up working for OWCA and BOTH times Perry spends the entire episode inexplicably grumpy and pissed.
You COULD say it's bc he's wary, he doesn't trust Heinz to behave professionally as an agent when he takes so much pride as an agent himself and incompetency pisses him off (true). Also that Heinz is lumped as his responsibility, and agent Lone Wolf hates being saddled to a person.....but these arguments crumble in light for a few facts.
1. Perry doesn't have THAT much respect for OWCA, and certainly not Francis, ESPECIALLY if they piss him off. See the aftermath of Undercover Carl. Its not a respect issue.
2. Perry knows what Heinz is like. He LIKES spending time with Heinz, and as early as the events in "Come Home Perry," HE knows that he can trust Heinz to always have his back. Its not a trust issue.
3. Perry is hugely supportive of Heinz reforming, and in MML, it's HIS money being the first and foremost funds provider for Heinz to start a time travelling agency. He likes Heinz turning tide fine, so long as he doesn't shut Perry out or leave him behind. It's not a Being Good issue.
So why was he pissed off?? Well. What's the ONE thing that upsets Perry, without fail, when it comes to his loved ones that isn't them being in undeniable danger.
Sharing. Perry hates sharing.

I’m so happy with this gradient it’s soooooo smooth. This shawl is a real challenge to knit both because of the structure of this yarn and the actual pattern itself is written in a way that’s really frustrating, but at least it’s beautiful enough to only be slightly extremely annoying.

sometimes i do imagine og papyrus because it makes me sad to think of him being left out and i love him so much. but that's more me playing with daydream toys, then him being a real imaginary friend. (which like, playing with daydream toys is kind of the first step to imaginary friend! but..)
i haven't seen the real imaginary friend him ever since years ago (i can rewind the tape in my mind and you can actually pinpoint the second his heart rips in half) and it feels insulting to force. he left on purpose. i could probably make a new one and indeed I've half-heartedly tried but again it feels rude. also that was the most tangible and least constructed papyrus in my mind so anything i make specifically to replace him inevitably feels kinda phony.

I love mythology so much and it’s taking everything in me to not write a full fledge fic about a Cupid and Psyche au omfg
justttttt Cupid Bakugou who is just so, so fucking beautiful. he’s always been recorded by other mortals for being akin to sunlight himself—all golden hues and sharp angles and high cheekbones and massive wings. wings that span as wide as an entire village, that sparkle when the light hits them, loud when they beat to send him soaring into the skies above. but his mouth? his attitude?
everyone always wonders why he was never the god of war, instead. but he’s damn good at his job, with his arrows propped up on his back, swift with discharging them into another stupid mortal who’s fallen for the local towns idiot. but hey, they’re in love, and it’s his job to enforce that love go over well.
and then he sees you—the most beautiful mortal, that you’re even compared to the gods, to his mother. he wants you so bad, if not to treasure and keep you against his side as he travels over the oceans cold waters, than to keep you safe from the vile men who want you as their partner and the disgusting women who envy you for having it all.
omg and the part where he takes you to stay in his palace and asks you not to ever look at his face???? it’s killing him, to wear that mask to your nightly dinners, to be able to look at the soft curve of your mouth when you frown and ask him to reveal himself. to be able to look at how you stare back at him, eyes pretty and furious, frustrated and mad, wanting to go back on the conditions you agreed upon because having to sit across from him without seeing him is absolute torture. I am. vibrating.

#ada speaks#i think i could probably recite the entire one sided phone conversation he has with daisy by heart and i havent seen the ep in months#i don't know how to explain it but#from what little ive read of ross' writing it feels like. when you click onto a fanfic and you feel immediate deep trust of the author#like it just clicks#the cookbook characterization specifically. is like.#i would put my life in your hands#and im sure we will get more eps by him and i really hope that continues because i think its been a very long time since the shows had#writers that i feel Get the characters in a way that feels effortless rather than. overcompensating.#like you can smell that writer's signature no matter how hard they try to cover it up with jokes and subversions#which isnt always a bad thing and im sure if we do get more maloney eps i'll pick up on his writers quirks too#but it doesn't feel like he's trying to copy anyone/pull from old eps it feels like he has a good grasp on things which makes it feel fresh#i find that long running shows hit a point where episodes start to feel less cohesive and more like. segmented short films#but if you have a really good group of writers and they find their groove its like. yeah. ok.#i think season 3 is a good study because marder and rosell's influence is all over the entire season#later seasons you can literally just. Feel which eps they worked on because its got a completely different vibe from the rest of the season#16 still suffers from that segmentation but#i think all the first time sunny writers (and nina's first solo ep) were all absolutely fuckin bangers and they've got a good team in there#anyway. characterization of dennis flipflops a lot. but the rest of the gang arguably gets it worse at times#i think megan's dee is the absolute worst aside from conor galvin's#and i understand wanting to write her as a girlfailure who is just. horrible. but.#ok. comparing self help book dee to ross' cookbook dee. i dont even have to say anything do i.#she's like. The Woman. in the self help book. and i fucking could not stand it. ross' dee is so perfect though#and his frank. MAN.#EVERYONE FUCKING RUINS FRANK.#i think marder and rosell's frank is a lot of fun because hes clearly based on marder's dad and acts believably#a lot of writers struggle to capture his. frank-ness.#he's sort of suffered from like. bland pervy senile old man writing for a long time#and ross brought back him actually being a competent businessman#IM OUT OF TAGS IM SHUTTING UP

i mean its his like. go to angel phrase when he thinks crowleys just being too much of a demon right? "youre a demon going against god so i have to do the good angel thing and forgive you because no one else will"
even when he agrees with crowley he says it i mean. the bandstand scene is the other scene im thinking of, aziraphale says he agrees with the great plan but hes directly going against what everyone thinks is the plan, but he cant just say he doesnt agree with it so even when crowley is like FUCK THE PLAN!!! aziraphale has to be like uhh actually uhhh.
"may you be forgiven" shut up you know just as well as he does that the supposed plan sucks but youre too scared to get in trouble so you just pretend to like all these things just as you always have. but you cant even blame aziraphale. he doesnt want to fall, who does?
i mean when crowley kisses him he just got the offer of an angels lifetime. of anyones lifetime he thinks. and he can even bring crowley! but crowley doesnt want what zira thinks is the only good option, and hes even trying to get zira to say no to it too. ziras deep in that 'my abusive family is in their nice phase right now though!' moment so hes like, mental gymnastics right then first off.
whats he going to do? turn it down? surely not! i dont want to say he thinks crowley is tempting him cause i dont believe that. he just thinks crowley is... well in that moment he thinks crowley is being too much of a demon right? zira holds on so tightly to the angels and demons good and bad stuff even after time and time again knowing its stupid, so when crowley is going against what surely must be the offer of a lifetime then surely crowley is just being ridiculous and a demon, cause of course a demon would reject heaven. of course a demon would no longer want to do good.
"i forgive you" he says. what he means is "youre going against goodness and i have to be a good angel." what he means is "youve hurt me and i need to be a good angel." "youve broken my heart but i need to be a good angel." "youre going against god by rejecting this. by doing what youve done here. and i need to be a good angel." #fun fact the main inspiration for his hair is david bowie from labrinyth#i just love that puffy long 80s metalhead look#which i kinda based the way the body sort of grooves#after like one piece rock costumes too#like ziggy stardusts for example#with the way the neck opens up and the shoulders are nice and thick#one of my ideas is to have a secret hard to get weapon that deals crazy damage be like#a rock guitar with an amp#so its sort of a joke weapon#but also if protag equips it (most weapon equips are pretty much only for Style like in smtiv)#(same with armor sets)#protag strums the guitar between actions to the battle music#and using physical attack he whacks the enemy w it and it makes a loud guitar shred#Its also what I hc that Nanashi does in smtiv final but instead of a guitar its a bass#since bass is more his style#he would use his bass to demon negotiate#Music is a powerful thing#ALSO the hair and colors are inspired by Angel's Egg#yoshitaka amano my beloved <3#thats another movie i fucking love that has a lot of thematics of birth and rebirth#with the literal egg and the fossilized angel#and how the child carries it tucked near her stomach#kind of like how the AI in protags stomach area is essentially a womb#and when you plug wires into it to download map and updates#its like an umbilical cord <3#when you are a weird newborn fully grown man with the soul of a bomb victim#from 30 years ago#and an ai who talks in text to speech microsoft sam and wants to understand people and why it made you#who eventually grows themselves a protein organic body from your dna and your shared travels#and becomes Heroine
