I wonder if Mayuri would weaponize his attractiveness.. like maybe this is one of reasons why he hides his appearance. He already has weaponized his body in a very literal sense so it would be fitting. I just keep thinking about his various gadgets he whips out during Pernida fight, how one of them is just. a man who's been turned into a fuckin worm from the neck down lol. And that guy especially, I keep wondering if maybe he did something especially egregious to get wormified
I can just see someone (who, either cuz they're drunk, new, etc, doesn't know better) poking fun at Mayuri's appearance or berating him in some way. And Mayuri deciding to go the full black widow route and seducing the guy with his unmasked appearance, only to subject him to The Horrors. I see him as someone who gives very few shits about his attractiveness, like I imagine he finds it funny more than anything that people think he's hot. So he'd use it in an equally flippant (and sadistic ofc) manner

Now that I'm thinking about it Grant Grant (yes that his actual name) from Slither would've been great for the Corruption (and/or the Flesh).
The movie is about Grant getting infected with an alien parasite and it slowly turning into the center of a grotesque hivemind monster that fuses with his consciousness. He turns one poor worm into a host for these flesh worm larvae that go on to infect and take over the mind of most of the town. The bodies under the control of the worm can vomit out a green liquid that can make whatever skin it touches swell and explode. Which is. pretty gross ill be real. Grant ends up using a lot of the wormified zombies to absorbed into him to make. Well by the end of the movie, Grant ends up looking something like this. (warning for body horror)
Tumblr media
gross! anyway. The infected zombies can only be killed by either killing the worm inside their heads or by destroying the host, that being Grant.
Additionally the movie is big on toxic love and the relationship Grant and his wife Starla. Even prior to the. wormification of everything their relationship was turbulent at best, with Grant being a jealous man who finds the alien by almost cheating on his wife (real stand up dude, clearly, even before the worms). Grant still retains his a good part of consciousness and has an obsession with Starla and "bringing her back home". His jealously and mood swings only worsen after he mutates and he switches from trying to sweet talk her and flying into a blind rage. He's gross and obsessive and a weird mutant hivemind and would've been perfect for the Corruption.

Percival Axworthy: Part 2
Right, so, now that I've explained how Percival works, I'm gonna tell you about the story and presentation of this character.
The story is that about a week or two prior to when the first session takes place, Percival made a deal with The Off Brand Corruption and became wormified. His body is basically dead and he's just a worm puppeteering it. About a week of this passes before the town he lived just outside of sends a volunteer to go check up on him. That volunteer happened to be a human fighter named Derek M'ann.
Derek M'ann is just your average local do-gooder. His name is fairly well known around this small town, and he's seen as a pretty good and helpful young man. He volunteers to go look for this Percival Axworthy guy because no one has heard from him and he was supposed to get some supplies that he had scheduled for pick up.
Derek gets to Percival's place and he gets attacked and possessed by Wormcival. Newly-posseded-Derek makes it back to town with Percival's old body and hides out in his house after turning the body into the mortician, refusing to talk to anyone and using the excuse that he's kind of messed up after finding a dead guy as a cover story so that people don't mess with him.
So the party gathers together to start the adventure, which is the first time any of them are actually meeting Derek M'ann in person. (Keep in mind that none of the players know anything about the shenanigans I'm pulling behind the scenes.) They all live in the same small town, so they've all heard of him or probably seen him a few times, but it's the first time any of them are actually meeting him.
I describe Derek M'ann as a tall, attractive, blond guy who is just generally pretty nice and cool with people. You know, the kind of guy who knows he's hot, but he's not, like, a dick about it. He's humble. The party assumes he looks and acts a bit like MCU Thor. I loved it.
And right after that I played Derek SO weird. Either quiet and borderline non-verbal, or he is talking like some sort of robot who is pretending as hard as possible to be human and not really selling it at all. And it was great. It was great because everyone was making all of these comments as to why he is acting so weird. Asking if he's an alien. Asking if he is borderline. Talking about how his name is a pretty obvious reference to martian manhunter from DC. Etc.
The Best Part is that my friend Hannah, who happens to be the only other person playing that knows that my character isn't who he says he is, is on my ass the whole session asking who I'm really playing and stuff.
See, Hannah was the one to introduce me to this dnd group, and I asked her if the DM would be cool with my character idea since she knew him better than I did. At the time, I only had the simplest version of the character concept in my head at the time, so she only know's that Derek M'ann isn't actually a human fighter, and she is ignorant to the rest of the stuff I've got going on. See, she thinks that Derek M'ann is a fake name that a pile of sentient fungus gave itself when it decided to start pretending to be a human.
The whole group is watching my character act like he's been body snatched, and using magic when a level one fighter definitely shouldn't be using magic, and just overall being a freak with Hannah fueling the fire of their curiosity.
And let me tell you that Derek, throughout the entire session, is just pathetic.
He is the first one to get hurt, and he gets hurt while trying to smash open a chest owned by the wizard who hired us to help him with the mission for the first session. Derek gets downed three different times during the session. He likes cats. He keeps messing with stuff he isn't supposed to. He can't even eat soup like a normal person. He's just a moron!
Percival breaks character one time, one single time, and it was to tell the pseudo healer of the group to stop allowing him to make stupid decisions. And it made the whoooooole group super extra suspicious.
The best parts of the session was texting jokes to the DM about all of the silly stuff going on. BTW extra props to my DM for essentially handing me a little pet mushroom homunculus on a silver platter. Cannot wait to use that in later campaigns.
By the end of the session everyone was suspicious of me and wanting to know what exactly Derek M'ann's deal is, to the point that Hannah sneaked a peek at my character sheet and told everyone that I've been playing a warlock the whole time. Because she doesn't like mysteries, apparently.
And I just have to keep telling them that Derek M'ann is a human fighter.
I mean, it's not a lie :)

can you draw the worm
Oh Warren Stone, I hope we soon find out why you’re so in love with hating the turtles. I’m sure they must have been around when he got wormified. Or what if they were somehow the downfall of his career prior to becoming a lowly worm? Or like so he thinks? Because obv based on his character he had to have been an unlikable guy and likely the reason he’s labeled as a disgraced news anchor.
Tumblr media
I was kinda having trouble drawing him, which somehow just makes me want to draw him more? So there might be that in the future.
