i don't know what hurts worse. the amount of panels and late chapters where is just She Li hurting everyone He Tian cares for or how I'm definitely gonna be sobbing, crying, on the floor when Zhan Xixi finds out.

my bro buzzcut is quite literally the most overpowered character he tian has to fight for the spot of mo's number one fan right now

I was looking at the 19days fanfics on AO3, and I was lowkey so shocked there was no zombie AU, and so this is how I think it would go:

1.MGS and He Tian would be fighters, ZZX would be in charge of getting resources, and JY would be a base protector (tbh I'm not 100% sure about these)

2. Jian Yi's feelings of being alone getting worse

3. ZZX and MGS worried about their families probably dying, so idk maybe they go out and try to find them

4. He Cheng probably took them all in, which causes familial drama for He Tian since he despises being there (in my opinion this makes the most sense, however it is a bit less interesting since it means they are all safe, I like reading about near-death experiences lol)

5. If turning into zombies is a slow process, say a week or two, and one of the boys get bit, the others would go haywire in trying to find a cure, and honestly in my mind Jian Yi would be bit, because he's the slowest.

6. Either there is a happy ending with a cure, or a sad ending where Jian Yi gets progressively more ill after being bit, and before the disease overtakes his body, he kills himself because he doesn't want to become a monster and attack the others. The remaining three can't handle it, but especially ZZX. He would be so grief stricken to the point he would also take his life. I think Tianshan would live a few more years, but they get attacked by a hoard or something and since there is no cure they choose to die painlessly, and also kill themselves.

OK I have to talk about this Beautiful beautiful picture. Another user @deathlywounded very astutely, pointed out how He Tian wearing gloves, represented his goal to not “taint” Mo. but I wanted to talk about two things: what each of them are wearing, and the gifts He Tian presumably bought for Mo.

Firstly, piggybacking off the idea that Tian is wearing gloves so as to not taint Mo. It is also evident through their clothing what direction their characters may go. While in the ZZX and JY art has both of them in equal lighting which a mixture of colors Mo and Tians art is unequal with clear distinctions between lightness and darkness. Mo is the only one who is completely illuminated smiling towards the light. Tian on the other hand has little to no light and is only illuminated where he is touching Mo. This theory is perpetuated by the fact that while little Mo is wearing light colors He Tian is in dark greys blacks and blues. This differentiation in colors could Insinuate the fact that Tian is moving closer and further into the darkness (joking big bros mob????)

Into the gifts there is a singular white rose, it was said to represent a strong message of hope, a shared secret or love. If two white roses or seen together, it means mutual love so we should be on the lookout! Anyways, the meaning of a white rose is more complex in China. What is traditionally, the color of death and mourning. And white flowers are traditionally used when attending funerals. When attending a wedding it is imperative that a cash gift be presented in a red envelope. When attending a funeral, a similar white envelope is used. Look at the bags Tian is carrying two are white and the shoes Mo is carrying are also white. This could be a funny way for them to celebrate She Li’s death, or at least his involvement with them.

In any case, they both look so genuinely happy here that it is hard to look deeply into anything . I am forever grateful for the amazing story art and translations given to us.
