Good evening!
I love your work on ao3 and wanted to ask if you had any more snippets/hc/... about the time when Kassandra first met Selene, Clio, Europa and Iva?
Hi! Thank you so much.
I'd love to be able to tell you that I have a folder full of "deleted scenes" and "alternate endings" etc...but I don't. I do head canon that Selene and Clio came to Mykonos to meet the baby though.
And having said all that, there's no saying that I won't write more about them once the current story is completed and my head is no longer full of mistaken identities and wicked twins.
Thanks again!

Honeymoon [Tristan Duffy HCs]
Request: “Could you do a wedding/honeymoon with Tristan headcannon?” - @antiscocialfanwarrior
Count: 19
A/N: I love Tristan but I never get requests for him rip
I don’t think Tristan would never actually propose.
It’d probably be a really sudden thing, and he wouldn’t even have a ring or anything.
And to make matters worse, it’d be at a very inconvenient time.
Like, when he’s about to walk on stage for a modelling show.
“Hey, babe? I wanna get married. Think about it.”
He’d do his walk faster than ever (even if the critics disapprove) just so he could hear your answer.
… Even though he’s pretty sure you’ll say yes.
And there likely wouldn’t be a real wedding unless you wanted one.
In that case, he’d give you a credit card and tell you to go wild.
He wouldn’t care as long as you were happy with it.
That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t sit back and judge, though.
He’d be forced to invite a bunch of fashion people, whether he liked it or not.
But the honeymoon would make up for anything they did.
And he definitely wouldn’t be able to wait for sex.
Hell, he’d probably bang you during the wedding if you’d let him.
But the honeymoon would take place wherever you wanted.
Paris, Bali, Venice, Mykonos, the taco place down the street from his apartment… Anywhere.
And he would go all-out in making it the best experience possible.

hc. mykonos & graves
the nickname 'meek' comes from graves, and it is--most of the time--a thinly veiled insult. they ARE meek: passive and timid and afraid to speak up. it's what helped them survive in the Waking, it's what they were formed to do.
graves, of course, is not like that: he's blunt about his feelings, makes no compromises, calls out wrongdoings and hypocrisy without hesitation. and it is unfortunately that exact attitude that kept getting him (and the rest of the Griefbringers by extension, especially Johnny) into trouble in the relationship(s) that Mykonos formed out of.
he knows mykonos serves a purpose he can't fulfill: he knows that the timidity he derides so much was vital to their survival. graves and mykonos are both bitter towards each other, each a reflection of the other's failures.

THE GRIEFBRINGERS. [HIATUS]
(psst, here's a carrd for bios, verses, and tags!)
they were A SINGLE DREAM once: GRIEFBRINGER, ghost of your dead come to visit you in the night. a dream shaped from human nostalgia, grief, and love, brought to life at the hands of LORD MORPHEUS. when lord morpheus disappeared from the Dreaming, things began to fall apart: the rules swayed and bent, and dreams and nightmares alike began to leave the Dreaming and enter the Waking.
now, after close to a century since the original Griefbringer left, lord morpheus' return calls the dream back to its home--but the old Griefbringer is gone, shattered into a collective of dreams and nightmares that used to exist as a whole and became separate over time in order to survive the Waking. now they are the GRIEFBRINGERS COLLECTIVE.
Johnny-Come-Lately ('Johnny') (he/him or plural they/them): dream of grief of all kinds, home and loves and missed opportunities, who shows you what could have been as well as what was. generally a positive experience; a sound rather than a person, associated with music, particularly vocals.
the Gravedigger ('Graves') (he/it), nightmare of forgotten dead and rotten hearts, bearer of unspoken secrets and heavy burdens from the dead. associated with decay, earth, and death.
Mykonos ('Meek') (they/she), dream of nostalgia and wearer of rose-tinted glasses, forever calling you back to the past. associated with birds, fish, water, and secrets.
there are others, many of them, that may reveal themselves over time.
written by WILDS. semi-selective, crossover friendly
more griefbringers under the cut! these ones are lesser-used or less developed, and may rarely be seen compared to the others.
Proximity City ('Proxy') (it/its), a nightmare of towering cities and confined spaces, and the feeling that no matter where you go, big brother is watching you. it represents grief over a lost past as well as a lost future, especially for those born before the digital age, and those who are afraid of the humanity's future. associated with paranoia, the fear of heights, glass, and cameras.
Cassette ('Cassie') (she/he/they), a dream of music encompassing grief of many kinds; symphonies you dreamt of in childhood and never brought to fruition; songs you heard at funerals or played over and over after a breakup; the music you want to hear when you die and the music you never want to hear again because of the grief it brings you. a time capsule; a longing for the past. associated with laughter, friendship, radio stations, and jewel tones.
The Proctor (he/it/they), a fragmented dream with nightmarish aspects, whose purpose and intentions have yet to be revealed. associated with sense of self, manipulation, desert heat and long roads leading nowhere.
NOTHING MAN (it/he), a nightmare of unbearable isolation and loneliness. a relentless void that swallows every good feeling you've ever had and turns it to poison. associated with apathy, abandonment, and the feeling that nobody understands, cares about, or wants to listen to anything you've been through.

some fun hcs I keep forgetting to write down here instead of just rambling to people in DMs:
When the Gravedigger switches in, it's like the skin of whoever was there before turns to soil and crumbles off, and the Gravedigger emerges from underneath. At the same time, his skull will emerge and essentially swallow the head of the previous dream whole: a great maw that splits out from the neck and closes like a venus fly trap before settling properly into place. Finally, his eyes will light from deep in the skull's eye sockets: a bright, blank violet.
If Proximity City is a place, Johnny-Come-Lately is a sound. If you rest your head on his chest and listen, you'll hear music coming from the golden fractures in his chest. You'll never be able to describe what you hear, nor replicate it.
When Johnny switches in, it's like a burst of sound with weird, cartoony visual effects that prevent the viewer from actually seeing the body transform: he's nowhere, and then he's just there, with a little musical cue. Ta-dah!
When Mykonos switches in, the previous dream... bursts into wings, basically. Imagine unsettling a huge flock of pigeons and being surrounded by them as they take flight, nothing but wings beating everywhere. They sprout from all over the body's skin to cover it.
Mykonos' body fluids are iridescent and colourful. She can bleed and cry, but that shit is in shrimp colours.
There are a lot of fragments of Graves within the collective (they can't form the same way the other Griefbringers do, but may influence them passively), and they largely reside somewhere within Mykonos. It's likely that she's protecting Graves from some of the worst parts of their collective experiences.

mykonos is perpetually one minor inconvenience away from a panic attack but they are also such a bitch. they are such an asshole when they perceive someone as a threat to them or theirs. they're a DICK. they're also very scared. :)

HELLO tonight I'm thinking about the fact that the Griefbringers are by nature pretty different from most other dreams (at least like, going by my own personal lore/interpretations, to be clear - this doesn't necessarily apply to other people's muses, it's just what I'm going off of when I'm writing) because they formed in the Waking, not the Dreaming.
They existed in a realm they weren't made for before they ever came home - even Graves, who may carry their original self's memories but is not their original self. My Corinthian has said before that the Johnnies look "small and broken" to him, which is true - he can sense their essence to a degree as a fellow dream, and he can feel that it's fucked up. They're sort of fundamentally just wired a little bit differently from most dreams; there are aspects of them that aren't specifically suited to their purpose, and they all have varying degrees of personality and differentiation from one another (see: the Cassidies generally feeling and behaving as one dream but technically being two), including preferences that might go directly against their intended purpose.
Graves doesn't especially relish torturing people on a rational level, though he enjoys it emotionally; Johnny always longs for the Waking and the social benefits of being around humans, and doesn't always relish having to serve anyone; Mykonos is afraid of confrontation and having anyone upset with them enough that they would go directly against their purpose to avoid it; Proximity couldn't care less about serving humanity and is more interested in maintaining its own sense of control and safety, etc etc.
And so as an extension of all of that--the conflicts with their purpose in the Dreaming, their origins in the Waking--there are some pretty notable differences between the way a Griefbringer might present itself in dreams versus the way it might appear in the Waking. In dreams, the Griefbringers have full control - maybe not as individuals, but as a collective. They get to choose what happens; how they're perceived; when to stay and when to go; etc etc. There's a feeling of safety in the Dreaming that isn't there in the Waking, no matter how much they might like the latter (Proximity and likely some others aside). In the Waking they are vulnerable, and they know it. That changes their manner considerably.
Johnny tends to burst outward: he gets twitchy and loud, less reserved, as if confidence could make up for the dread he feels or the reminders of the people he's lost. To some degree Johnny is also a sort of mask for the rest of the collective: his very purpose (to the collective, not to the Dreaming) was to handle everyday 'human' existence so that the others, less suited for it, wouldn't need to. He's always sensory-seeking in the Waking, and hates being on his own.
Graves is probably the most unchanged out of them all between the Dreaming and Waking. He's scarier in the Dreaming, certainly, both in appearance and manner; there's something a little more unstable about him, like he's only ever a few curt words away from snapping someone's spine in half. The cracks in his skin glow brighter. His masks--his skulls--move more like they're part of his physical form and not just a mask. At times, one could almost expect him to drop down to all fours, he's just bestial in a way he isn't in the Waking. There's something much more controlled and deliberate about his manner in the Waking, as if he were used to crafting a very particular kind of image to project to the world in order to keep himself safe.
Mykonos is the one where the changes are just... unmistakable. They are all about control: in the Dreaming they are powerful, focused; still anxious and eager to please but able to set that aside for their work, to serve dreamers as intended and to keep their collective safe. They have a glow and a confidence to them in the Dreaming that they never had in the Waking. In the Waking--a place with so many unpleasant memories, so many losses-of-self, and for Mykonos and Graves so much direct trauma--they are scared. They close in on themselves; they lose the warmth and light that makes them shine in dreams; they are small and fragile and cold and it is unnervingly easy to upset them. Like Johnny, they hate to be alone in the Waking, but being around anyone close to them makes them incredibly anxious that they're going to do something wrong, that something bad is going to happen any minute.
... and that is all for now because it's past 3am and this headcanon post is INSANELY LONG. BYE.

get ready for h*rny monster anatomy. I can't cut on mobile, so perish.
- sexless by default, like all of the griefbringers. their preferred Anatomical Configuration TM is breasts (the size varies depending on how Obviously Effeminate By Human Standards they want to be; they do not have nipples) small dick (probably tapered and iridescent, no idea what the texture is like but it is Not A Human Schlong), pussy (again, probably alien in its texture and fluids), ass. they don't have testes, they don't like having nipples, they love assplay and vaginal play equally, and they probably ejaculate weird silvery fluid. who the fuck knows what it tastes like.
- they're WAY more into receiving pleasure than giving it unless it involves the other party doing the work themselves (if someone wants to just fuck their mouth or holes or hand to chase their own pleasure, they'll happily oblige). Doesn't mean they won't give! it's nice, they can enjoy it, it's just not their go-to. they're not quite a stone femme and not quite a pillow princess either, but there are elements of both of those in their sexuality for sure.
- it can take them a while to warm up to anyone touching them. they're very tactile themselves and will initiate touch frequently, but receiving it is a little different and more intimate/vulnerable to them. it also means that they're often the one to initiate sex with a partner, and will take their time winding up/teasing them with slow, soft touches until they're both ready to proceed (if either of them even want to; heavy petting is delightful too).
- they LOVE any kind of consensual telepathy or other mind fuckery during sex. it's not often they sleep with anyone, let alone a being that could even offer them anything like that, but the desire is there nonetheless. its about feeling close and intimate and knowing someone feels how much mykonos loves and wants them.

just for funsies i've been thinking about Endless Alignments (TM)... obviously the griefbringer is aligned with Dream and that's that, but. i think it's tasty to think about how much they might have been touched by other Endless whilst in the Waking, so here goes.
johnny: Destruction (the creation of new things; constant change; the acceptance that things change and things pass and there will always be new things to discover) graves: Death (self explanatory, really, but the loss of others; the constant awareness that mortals die and you do not) mykonos: Desire (because hasn't everyone who ever claimed to love or want them hurt them? desire is cruel by nature: mykonos is caught in the cycle of it, of being wanted and hurt and wanted and hurt) proximity: Delirium (paranoia and the inability to trust your perceptions: do you know where you are? which city are you? do you even remember?) cassette: Dream (all fantasy, all imagination. idk what else to say about this one because cassette is not very fleshed out) proctor: Destruction (ruining everything you touch because you just can't help it; encouraging others to do the same) nothing man: Despair (despair.)

i feel like when mykonos climaxes all of her wings splay out and shudder (which can be beautiful or horrifying depending on how solid her form is at the time - she's basically made ENTIRELY of wings, after all, just cleverly shaped into a humanoid-ish form in the centre of them)

hc. mykonos
despite what one might expect from such a colourless being, they love colour. especially natural landscapes: desert plains, prairies, fields of wildflowers, mountains, jungles, you name it. anywhere thick with plants and bugs and birds feels like home to them. galaxies excite them. the fact that humans selectively breed animals just to get cool colour mutations fascinates them. bioluminescence is beautiful to them; they themselves can be bioluminescent, a conscious aesthetic choice they made rather than something they formed with.
their home in the Dreaming, when they choose to use it, is a cave behind a great waterfall (that is sometimes water, sometimes stars). within that cave is essentially a rainforest, but the deeper you go the darker it gets until everything is illuminated by luminescent mushrooms, plants, moss, and other strange forms of dreamlife. parts of the cave are reminiscent of deep alien oceans, where they retreat to when they feel contemplative but happy, and seek rest.

Pro - Mykonos
Despite their timidity, they're endlessly curious: they'll always be down to go to new places and try new things with you, especially if it involves travelling of any kind (plane, car, boat, you name it).

pro + con for mykonos!
Pro: She loves figuring out other people's love languages and will go out of her way to love them the way they like best, whether it's spending time together, verbal reassurances, physical affection, gifts, or just taking care of someone as best she can. She's not much for grand gestures, but loves doing little surprises for loved ones; her relationship style is sweet and doting.
Con: They're terrified of conflict and will fawn and become a doormat if they fear someone being upset with them. If you don't learn to recognise the signs of it, you might never even realise they're doing it - which of course is going to make you feel like an asshole once you realise they've been desperately trying to please you and change themselves to be what they think you want.
