Undeserving of a second thought

Wiped out by a broom

The sharp little peices Left along in the snow

Sharp little peices begging to be adored just one last time

Alas not being spared a single glance

For i was no longer The beauty they know

I was now hazardous

I could now cut through their skin

So why would they ever risk themselves

For something no longer profitable to them as it had once been

Total of 23 books read for September! Finished dark and strong with the Haunting Adeline duo. Let me tell yall...It was a fucked up ride, both of them. The 2nd was worse. Book review: haunting Adeline by H.D Carlton:

I really actually loved this book! I do wish Addie would have accepted her love for zade a little faster but on the other hand I do understand why she struggled with the thought of it. He did start off this cat and mouse game by stalking her🤔.

I feel like this book had a good amount of spice and was very detailed

Favorite scene: Addie admitting she was falling for zade

Favorite spice scene: house of mirrors and car scenes

Favorite character : Zade and Jay!

Least favorite: mark

Definitely should read If you like dark romance

do you ever wonder why the only times you ever actually feel something is while you're reading or watching something? it's like drugs; the dopamine, the pain, the overflowing vault of emotions; it all just comes flooding out while you're reading. the rush of excitement flooding through, which only emerges at the thought of the fictional worlds we've created inside our heads. nothing in real life gets you quite high like that, only feeling any exhilaration through the stupid games, teasing, and playful banter with a dumb guy you couldn't give two shits about. always trying to be sucked into a book filling your heart with the rawest emotions you could ever experience.

My review for Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

This was such an amazing read. I am going to make this book my personality for the next couple of months.

I started loving Zade very early on on the book. This man had me questioning my morals. I love that throughout this read i got to solve a murder, deal with a stalker (whom I love dearly) and got spooked by the ghosts lurking around. I also love Addie. Throughout the story I got to see her grow as a character and although at some points her denial got a bit annoying, a lot of it was understandable due to what we saw her and her great-grandma go through. I loved Daya, she was a girls girl all throughout the book. Would have loved to see more of Jay since I also thought he was a good character. And would have loved to see Sibby come back after THAT chapter.

Certain chapters will be engraved in my brain for a very long time. Specifically 30, 34 and 35 because of the spice and the way Zade speaks to Addie.

This read also walked me through so many emotions. At one point I was laughing, the next smiling like an idiot, the next shocked, fearful and weeping.

There was parts of the book that were predictable but still had my jaw dropping, especially with that cliffhanger. Definitely order book two in advance.

The spice was a 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5.

I can definitely see why this book was listed as a dark romance after that sunroom scene. But again, like Addie, this read had me questioning my morals.

⚠️Side note: Although Carlton already warns you, be sure you check out the trigger warnings to this series because it can get very dark.

Both books were freaking AMAZINGG⭐️. When I tell you it’s a dark romance emphasis on the DARK. From the very beginning the setting is eerie and spookie. Addie living in a haunted house and being stalked. Zade our stalker psycho hero. He’s obsessed with Adeline from the very moment he lays eyes on her. The romance was ADDICTIVE, HOT and KINKY🌶️.

TW: Explicit Sexual content, Crude language, Trafficking, Explicit violence, Psychological torment, Gun play.
