Your reindeer designs give me such childish joy I can't wait to see the rest. What's your process (aka any advice) for designing from scratch with something like just a name or concept?
Redbubble (buy reindeer swag) || Patreon (see all early!) || Ko-fi
See more free tutorials!
You can see my process unfold in real time by joining any tier of my patreon discord. Which doesn't even have to go through patreon! If you want, you can just pay me $20 and let you in for a year (and then lose track and probably keep you anyway)
Here's a preview using comet! (nevermind the preview thing I wrote you a whole lecture lol)
initial sketches in 2021:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Revisited in 2022 and 2023
I was constantly asking which design was the weakest, why, and how to fix it. Whenever I tested without the magical comet behind it, people could only guess who comet was by process of elimination.
I didn't want to rely on throwing icons into the design. I wanted each one to communicate through shape and silhouette alone. It would be like drawing a little cherub with a bow and arrow floating along with cupid. If you have to include a nametag to communicate, your design can be improved.
Tumblr media
So I tried a few different strategies to say "comet" before I realized I could twist the antlers into any shape I wanted. I was worried I would have to discard the drawing and restart from scratch! Which is what I did for rudolph about 6 times before I had a breakthrough.
Then I gave my patrons a brief lesson in antlers to explain where and why I was placing the tines. When I stray from the caribou structure, I do so knowingly in order to achieve something that cannot be achieved within the caribou shape, like dancer's tutu. Know the rules before you break them. My goal is to make animal nerds (myself chief among them) happy when they see species-specific anatomy instead of cop outs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I tried a few things before figuring out antlers could become comet
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another thing that often caribou have is an unsymmetrical "spork" that comes forward off only one antler. I figured this out by looking at hundreds of reindeer pictures and saving them to my reference folder. A few of my designs have this, that's what the little spiral is in the final comet antler design.
Tumblr media
When I put comet in my lineup, I realized that the antlers I drew were way more stylized, chunky, and "tribal" than the others. I had already changed the proportions on one of my designs to match, so then I had to hack away at the basic comet rack to make it look natural.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I already knew that comet's colors would be easy because a basic reindeer already Has the big comet on the shoulder. But here's a peak at all the reindeer images I posted for my patrons to look at.
As you can see below, I chose reindeer markings for all my designs instead of other deer or animals. Even vixen is tied to actually possible reindeer patterns rather than copy-pasting a fox. Almost all of my designs have light-colored anklets on dark colored legs, which is very common with caribou of any color. This is the sort of thing no one tells you; you have to observe it yourself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ft cupid's early design! I was continually testing out my reindeer silhouettes and colors on new people, taking their feedback, and fixing what wasn't clicking.
I know I could have made vixen sexy and curvy to play into a recognizable trope, but I really wanted them to be scary and fox-like. Sometimes you gotta do what you want and not what you think will appeal to audiences. Reindeer Days is a purposeful exercise in audience resonance. Most of my art is 100% me and what I feel like doing with no regards to anyone else. So it was a fun challenge!
My patrons also got to see me making fun of corporate designs for recognizably/cliches at the expense of literally anything good
Tumblr media
One of these is going to get a lot more "that must be vixen!" results from people who aren't constantly thinking about animal colors, markings, hunting strategies, and teeth.
And one rocks.
Vixen changed the least from the initial 2021 concept!
A Vixen is a female fox. In english slang, it means a cunning, fierce human woman, and sometimes sexually attractive or promiscuous. Quite often an insult to someone because she won't date you!
But to me, a vixen is an animal. A predator.
When designing to reference something, I like to hit it at multiple angles, referencing obscure trivia about something to delight and educate. This is done by researching a topic deeply, far below surface level and beyond what you think you need to make your design. Or in my case its just knowing a bunch of animal trivia already.
After researching/dredging your knowledge, sit there and Think. Don't draw anything. Come up with several ideas and then throw them all in at once for the ultimate trivia design.
Trivia about red foxes:
They have Long bushy tails
They have teeth that include large sharp canines, flat incisors, triangular premolars, and chunky molars with points on them that slide scissor-like with the molars above to cut meat via chewing
They hunt rodents in burrows under the snow by jumping into the air, arcing, and slamming down with their face through the snow
They are orange
They have a dark vertical stripe on their snout
They have black legs, with the backs and bottoms being orange
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Translated into the design:
Pose based on a fox jumping, about to land in the snow
Antlers twisted to resemble teeth
Long (for a reindeer) bushy tail
black mark on snout
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some adjustment to the pose to be at the top of the arc and flow better.
Tinkering with the design to make it recognizable but not 100% copypasta fox
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was finally happy with a design that absolutely showed "fox" while still being creative and plausibly caribou shaped. This would absolutely communicate who it is! I thought!
The most obvious one of the bunch! After all, everyone knows what a vixen is!
Tumblr media
Nope! No they do not

Blackwater XVIII
Raiting: 16+
Warnings: at this point its just drama.
A/N: a chapter before my trip to Philly and the month’s end. The situation doesn’t improve, let’s say I apologize in advance for the next chapters. I left some clues, not too hidden but it’s pretty clear something is not working since for the first time Y/N and Paul are on the same side.
Tumblr media
There were kids running everywhere, jumping off the stands, chasing each other in the field and parking lot where their parents' cars were. It was hot, air full of dust, smell of sweat, grass and mexican food cooked at the nearby kiosk. It was all exactly as his boys had left it a few days earlier, as if their family war had not touched that place, as when he was the boy running around on an ordinary afternoon and not a pop with drinks. And as in those days now long gone, Jey had seen him before even intercepting the scent of him among others, standing next to the fence to caress his son head and a shiver had crossed his chest.
Even when they were the ones playing, he never took the field unless it was time, but everything still seemed to revolve around him, collapsing against him in a vortex in which Jey fought not to drown. All his life he had followed Roman flow, but now he was tired and had had enough of those mob games.
Leave him. Dont.
He saw him raising his head, shift attention from his son who continued chatting, happy he didn’t have to change his whole life, put hand back in his pocket with his perfect smile and anger began to burn in Jey chest.
- Find your brotha, bring him this – Jey pushed him away with an excuse, ignoring any electrified story in which Jeyce had tried to involve him too.
His little boy didn't pay much attention, he was used not poking his nose into family affairs, he wasn't old enough to do it yet and after saying goodbye, Jey watched him run away to look for his brother who had ended up who knows where with his former school friends. He had done everything he could to not move Jeyce from the community in which he had grown up, but Jaciyah was almost a man, there had been no way, Roman had already done everything possible to burn any possibility for him. When the youngest was far enough away and Jey turned back, his cousin was still standing there looking at him, relaxed, but he knew it was a facade, he knew it.
And he knew the reason he was there.
He feels threatened now. Threatened where he cares.
- So you finally decided. What you've always wanted… it's a challenge bigger than you, beyond your capabilities, sure you can handle it lil Jey? – he asked provocatively, as if he was the grown ass man and Jey the unconscious and stupid boy.
Three months apart but he was the big one talking sense.
- You forced me. I never wanted it – he replied seriously, refusing to give in once more.
He would have forgiven him anything, he had always forgiven him anything. Even when they were kids, he was the one who made excuses, he was the one who took the blame and got in the way if him and Jimmy argued. He loved him, like a brother, his brother, he loved him even now, but they were no longer kids fighting in the backyard, Roman had crossed the line. He had been willing to talk, to put his head down again and find a solution. He didn't care about power, about the alpha title, about being the head of the table and taking on the weight of their dynasty, he had never wanted it, he had never aspired to that much. He just wanted to do his part, to show that he wasn't just a hothead, provide like every father, husband, son and Roman had hit him where he knew it hurt, but that time Jey hadn't been able to forgive him. He had hit back and knew he had hurt him.
- You've always been like this and that's why they didn't choose you as the alpha, as the tribal chief. That’s the reason why you will always be back in line, not on top. You can't even admit you always wanted to have what is mine – he laughed, venom on his tongue, looking at him as if Jey was nothing.
- I wanted to keep my head high with you. I wanted to be with Jimmy, next to you. I wanted a family, a real one, as they taught us, as it was before.
Our pack.
- You ruined everything, it's on your hands. I'll kick you out after our combat, you know that? And I'll kick Jimmy out too and both your families, no more Bloodline, no more home for your boys. You’ll leave and never step here again and neither will them - he threatened again, with that blind anger covering his gaze.
And if the inevitable hadn't happened by now, Jey would have fallen back into line, as he always did, he would have pretended that he was the one who provoked him, that he was really guilty, that he could endure for a taste of peace, but after so many years , that afternoon Jey looked at him as he had done a few times in their lives, seeing him for what he was.
He attacks 'cause is scared.
- If I lose – he replied without growling, impassive and Roman seemed to tremble, taken by surprise.
He had never wanted to lead the family, Roman did. Roman had had a dream before the title and had chased it, but when life had closed the door in his face, leaving him without hope, sitting at the head of the table had become everything for him. Jey had seen him work like no other, sweat blood to prove himself worthy, do anything, even in the wrong ways, to get it and he had succeeded, because there was nothing his cousin couldn't have if he decided to take it. His world, his life, was having the ulafala around his neck and holding his alpha title, it was an obsession he could no longer live without. He had lost contact with reality, with truly important things, with people with whom he should have shared burdens and joys, he was corrupted by power, by the hunger and it didn't even helped finding his mate to bring him back to earth. The man in front of him had no longer been his cousin for too long now, he wasn't even his Tribal chief, he was a stranger and Jey had finally had to agree with Jimmy: help him, support him so as not to hurt anyone, wasn't the solution, it just made things worse. The only way to solve now was to take away the only thing that really mattered to him.
- We've already been through this, nothing will change this time, im still better than you and anyone else – he tried again, his face serious, his gaze dark.
He remembered it, how he could not? He saw it in his nightmares, flashing before his eyes every time Roman raised his voice and threatened to explode, in the looks he gave Jey if he held his head too high or took a step too far, in the kind words he said to convince him to do something. Years had passed, but Jey still felt his teeth around his throat ready to open it, hands that had slammed him against their family tree until his head bled, that growl filling his ears threatening to kill him, the pure, visceral, suffocating hatred with which he had looked at him even when he was crying and Jimmy begging for mercy. He remembered everything, every detail of that day and it was precisely because he remembered that he would not have given up that time. He wouldn't collapse, he wasn't the same man anymore, he no longer hoped that things would go well the same, the stakes were too high, they both knew it and Roman's almost desperate attempt to scare and push him back into line one last time, it already showed that it wouldn't go like that day at all.
- If you're so sure, then why you here? – he asked, looking him straight in the eyes and saw him growing mad, offense now visible behind his facade.
He will never admit it. He will never take it back.
- You made your choice – one that hurt, both, but was necessary.
He loved Roman, he was his blood and he would have sacrificed himself for him, it had been like that all their lives, but it was no longer Roman he had in front of him and he had to get him out of the way now, for the sake of his family. Once and for all.
- You said that I need to take my responsibilities. I’ll do it when and where the elders decide, get ready. – he ended it, looking at him one last time before walking away to his boys.
He had never dared to turn his back on him voluntarily, he had never left him behind. Jimmy had dragged him away at the border, but now he was the one doing it, with intention, fighting the instinct to go back. And he knew that Roman stood there, he knew he hadn't moved, if he had only looked back he would have met his gaze, to do so however would have meaning give in, lose himself once again. So he crossed the entire field, breaking the pack bond that had united them for as long as Jey could remember.
He would no longer acknowledge him as family. They were nothing now. No more pack, no more brothers.
***
He had looked him straight in his eyes and turned away. Jey had done it without second thoughts or doubts, without anyone to push him to do so. He had abandoned him once and for all, he had broken their bond. They were no longer a pack, no more righ hand man and chief, no more brothers, they were no longer anything. Roman had felt it in his bones, more painful than a wound, burning his chest, confusing his wolf and the emptiness of the previously full field, had fallen on him.
He left us alone.
Taking care of his family, leading the Bloodline, providing for everyone, being the alpha, had always been everything to him. It was a responsibility for which Roman had been ready for anything, a sentence that he had willingly accepted, because only him had showed that he could handle it, because it was in his nature, his destiny, because he loved his family more than anything else. Yet more time passed, more the weight of them became too much and the pain that was inflicted on him by wearing that ulafala triggered something in his mind. Every now and then, like in that moment, he just wanted to repay the harm he received in exchange for his sacrifices.
He had offered Jey another opportunity, the last one to acknowledge that he had made a mistake, stop that challenge. But after everything they had been through, Jey had chosen to no longer be around him and not want to have anything to do with him anymore, he had betrayed him in the worst way possible for their pack. Nothing would have been able to heal the breakup, no demostration of submission, no promise would have been enough. There was only one thing left to do and with anger rooted in his heart, Roman went back into the suv ready to do so.
- My Tribal chief... - the wise man called him softly, sitting at a safe distance, his voice already worried.
Tribal chief. Provider of the pack. Leader of the Bloodline. Head of the table.
They wanted to destroy his world, crumble it, but he wouldn't be the one to fall in misery. He would rebuild again. Something new, something better. He had already done it years before, he would have done it again without Jey and his ingratitude. Another pack, another future, a higher level. He could replace him, everyone could be replaced, he hadn't lost what he needed, what mattered. He still had a family, a pack. Him and Y/N would have filled seats at their table, he would choose another right-hand man, pass the title to his true blood in the future.
- Call the elders. Tell’em to make it – he announced, his gaze pointed out the window, numb.
Enough is enough.
He couldn't afford any weakness. He couldn't give in. He would think about feelings later.
The wise man hesitated for a second, fidgeting in his seat, leaning in his direction as the SUV was already moving, one hand reaching out to him as if to shake him, but not daring to touch him.
- There's still time to make things right, you two can talk, we can try again, maybe he need more time, it's not- he insisted, his tone soft as when he was trying to direct him and Roman growled a deep warning in his throat, without turning.
They were well beyond trying now and even if there was still room, he wasn't about to take it any longer. Now he just wanted to hurt Jey, to really show him what he could be capable of if he wanted. Ready to teach a lesson to the world that watched him waiting for his downfall.
- Do what I said, I didn't ask your opinion.
Heyman immediately lowered his head, closing his mouth, returning to his seat. Just as it should have been, just as it would have been for everyone.
In the silence of his suv, they left the city outskirts where his cousin and his family lived until a few days before, taking the road that would take them towards the reserve, on his land, his property.
***
She had spent part of the morning on an estate just outside their reserve, a plot of land on the opposite side of the road leading to the border where the owners had opened a small market. She had been there other times months and months ago, when going to town was still an almost impossible task for her, the twins had raided freshly baked waffles at that time, while Naomi browsed the shelves for her, but that day it had been different. She had gone there to distract herself and look for a gift, in an attempt to thank Lisa for the company she had kept her during Roman's trip, but she had ended up trying to make both owners relax. The woman, with chubby cheeks and a nose perpetually red from the sun, hadn't seemed happy to see her as soon as she entered and she hadn't continued to be unfriedly even when Y/N had politely made small talk. Her husband stood behind the register like a soldier, his gaze fixed on Solo who was guarding the door in religious silence, one hand on the phone as if he had to call the police.
Y/N immediately understood the reason for that reaction. By now people knew who she was and they certainly knew what had happened on the border with the Bloodline. She had wandered among the shelves for a while, but in the end she had given up and left with a forced smile, returning with the only certainty that things were getting even worse in an endless spiral. A short time had passed, just for her to have a shower, and Roman had also returned, more tense than when he left, to give her yet another proof.
Not his scent.
- Why you smell like him? – she asked immediately, her eyes fixed on him as he was already getting rid of the clothes he had worn that morning with his head down.
He had left early, saying he had business to settle with partners who had refused to sign extensions of agreements for some territories now behind the lost border and a meeting with Pearce in the afternoon, but none of those scenarios included his cousin and Y/N had been pretty clear when she told him and Jimmy to stay away from them.
- Nothing has happened yet, don't worry.
- Yet – she repeated confused, but even then Roman didn't make a move to turn around, too busy looking for a change of clothes and avoiding explanations.
He wasn't physically hurt, nothing out of place, but wasn’t enough to reassure her.
- We'll solve it once and for all soon, face to face, decision is made.
- Yup, it’s a wonderful idea, lemme know when so I'll warn the doctor to keep himself free – she complained ironically and heard him breathing heavily, his bare chest expanding in an effort of patience in which she too was having difficulty.
He had come home covered in blood just a few days earlier, his forehead open, his mood shattered and the previous one she had witnessed firsthand the attempt to repeat the feat. She wasn't the kind of woman who was easily suggestible, she had seen and been through enough to be able to put up with more than most of the alphas out there, but that kind of approach didn't help.
- Don't start Y/N. It's official.
- Official, what does that even mean?! What happened to cutting them out of the family business?
Cut them out. Turn away and forget them. For her or for himself, it had been the decision he had made returning from the border, he had told her reluctantly, he had repeated it, she hadn't imagined it. What had changed? Why so suddenly and talking like it was something he couldn't come back from, some kind of blood pact?!
He's hurt. He's angry.
She felt it too, not just her wolf, she saw it too without her bond and it was for that exact reason that she didn't like that change. He wasn't thinking, he was acting under too much pressure.
- It's not enough – she heard him explain, as if that should mean everything.
- But tearing each other apart would it be?! – she replied in disbelief and at yet another reply Roman stopped to clench his fists with annoyance.
- I tried, I left a door open, it didn't help, I did it - he complained and she felt the weight of his frustration - when I get Jey out of the way, we'll start again. No one will challenge my role. Solo will take his place as my right-hand man in the Bloodline, everything will be good again, I’ll regain control of the family and after them I’ll take care those bunch of idiots out there, first the family business and then’em.
Standing in the doorway of the walk-in closet, she listened to him rambling, his gaze going from her to something far away only in his head that made his brow furrow and his teeth gnash. His plan, his big plan.
He had really tried, she knew it, she believed him. It hadn't worked, it hadn't been enough, but the solution couldn't be to tear each other apart, fight to hurt each other even more and make the situation worse. It shouldn't have even become a possibility, and yet it had happened, everything kept crumbling, falling apart and she felt more and more dizzy. She trusted Roman, she knew that he really could take back control and that he would do so, but now it all felt strange and wrong and dangerous. It wasn't paranoia, doubts or her mood swings at the wrong times, but the ease with which he was talking about those enormous changes, those drastic solutions, he was alarming her.
- Are you really planning to solve things like this? – she asked and the flash that crossed his gaze as he felt hesitation in her voice, doubts, caused a shiver down her spine.
- I'm planning our future. Mine and yours! – he exploded, as if he was ready to fight at that very moment and her confusion made him furious – they are nothing, Jey is nothing! I dont need’em. The elders want a leader for the Bloodline who represents the family and I’ll give them that, I’ll teach everyone a lesson and remind them why its my role!
He was snapping more often than usual lately and like every time, Y/N saw him grit his teeth, inspire to regain control and swing his head almost shaking off his own wolf when she watched him with wide eyes. She didn't like that attitude, it was the kind of alpha behavior that she had always avoided in the past, but she knew why it happened, it wasn't completely unmotivated and contrary to what she would have done in the past, she once again found herself reaching for him to caress his arm and calm him down.
He’ll never hurt us.
It was his nature to attack in order to defend, and the way they raised him, what he went through to get what he wanted, had only made that side worse. Roman mind had been programmed to provide, attack if necessary and keep the indispensable, it was his wolf taking control due to stress. He talked about real dangers and imagined others, he exaggerated things and was incited by speeches that he shouldn't have listened to, he was worried, pressured and scared probably at the idea of losing his family even if he didn't admit it. He needed someone ready to keep him grounded, to make him think and she had promised to stay by his side.
- Whatever the elders said you need to do for the Bloodline and prove yourself, it could be a problem if those men you were talking to yesterday – she tried to explain and Roman stopped her before even getting to the point though.
- Stop defending the twins, stop doing that Y/N – he growled, as if he hadn't heard.
After what she had seen, defending Jey and Jimmy it wasn't something she would have done instantly like a few weeks ago, but she really wanted to hope that blood was thicker than tears. They had other enemies, strangers, people who had no family bond to any of them roaming their territory, attacking each other was a move that could spell the end of them all.
- I'm not doing it, Im with you, I told you… I just don't want you to get hurt for nothing – she tried again, running her thumb over his tattoo, but once again Roman watched her up and down still angry.
- It's my legacy, it's everything, we have no future without it, nothing – he growled seriously, his gaze hard and Y/N found herself with an empty hand, while he grabbed a hoodie and disappeared back downstairs, leaving her in their room alone.
***
Their date night was spent apart, but that wasn't important. Y/N had never hoped to have a perfect romantic movie relationship, those childhood dreams had never belonged to her and she hadn't started having them even with Roman, she kept things real. He had locked himself in the gym for hours, occupying his mind with physical exercises, silencing doubts, second thoughts, feelings, anything. She couldn't feel anything through the bond, just the fatigue of his big body pushing past its limits to prepare, nothing more. And Y/N was worried, alarmed by the way he had decided to go down that path, to go through with it without looking at the consequences. Jimmy's words had come back to her by chance, while she was preparing a tea to drink in the living room in front of a book, seeing the amount of food still filling the pantry, when months earlier him and his brother would have cleaned up the same day in which it had been filled. It hadn't happened in a while now, but more time passed, more it seemed to her that their house was getting colder.
"We're fine as long as we do what the great Tribal Chief wants and when it doesn't happen it's over"
Whatever Jey had said, it hadn't gone the way Roman wanted and now he was ready to end it. Their relationship wasn't normal, it had probably never been the healthiest, but Y/N knew right away that they had a special bond in that big family. Jey had smelled her even before Roman, he had recognized her at the bus station, as if he was an extension of Roman. The thought he had now decided to end his bond with his cousin, that he no longer wanted to have anything to do with him, explained why Roman thought he would go that far, but not why he actually planned to do so.
He's not a monster. He’s hurt.
Sure he was, Jimmy's lies had nothing to do with it, her wolf was right. She had to put that thought out of her head and focus on what to do. He was in panic, attacking because he thought it was the only solution, driven by the crazy approval of the elders, by the pressure at the border and she couldn't allow him to sink or make the situation worse.
- Y/N – Paul called softly, almost whispering, but she gave no sign of having heard him, staring at the lit fireplace.
Her ears could hear the most imperceptible noises, she was trained, but when it came to him they closed. It was selective listening and they had selected him as the person absolutely not to listen to, evidently Paul was not of the same opinion however and Y/N saw his fingers drumming on the coffee table in front of her in a discreet attempt to attract attention.
- … can we talk? – he asked, sitting down without permission next to her, refusing to let go.
- No.
She didn't turn, she didn't even look at him, but was absolutely certain that he had curled his head into his expensive suit like a plump, pale turtle, as he always did when something wasn't right the way he imagined and she seemed to be incredibly good pushing him to that kind of reaction. Usually just a word was enough to keep him away, he had learned the lesson after the threats months before, yet this time, defying opposition and fate, Paul cleared his throat anyway.
- It's about what's happening, I was hoping we could discuss... collaborate maybe under the circumstances – he started again and she finally looked at him with disgust and exasperation.
He had stayed after dinner to do who knows what, without an invite, but even now that it was time to finally go away, disappear for a few hours, he refused to leave.
- Open a couple of buttons, there's no blood getting to your brain and I won't call anyone if you faint.
Them working together was like freezing hell, it was already a miracle that they managed to tolerate each other at Roman's behest, but it would have been impossible more than that. There was something about Paul that Y/N didn't like, a suspicion had never found proof of and yet her she-wolf sensed. It could have been down to past experiences, betas like Paul whispering into alphas'ears to get a taste of power were never trusty, it could also have been down to the fact that he breathed the same air as Roman in a shameless display of fetishism.
- Y/N I know we don't have a good relationship and we've never done anything to improve it-
Or it could depend on the way Paul had treated her from the very first time, going from preaching her to submit without shame to his tribal cult to treating her like a dumb trophy mate. She didn't care, she didn't like him and he needed to stop making advances.
Bite him.
- Stop these diplomatic speeches with me Paul, ain't eating a single word running out of your mouth and I've already advised you to stay away from me, would you like a lil reminder?
She watched him adjust his blue suit in a classic nervous tic and despite everything force himself to reach out, inviting her to calm down and continue the conversation peacefully.
- It won’t be necessary, I'll get to the point. I'm worried about him - he hastened to explain, alluding with a discreet nod of his head to the side hallway that led to the gym and Y/N raised an eyebrow in disbelief - I have full faith in his abilities, he's extraordinary, but I was there when it happened the first time, time has passed now… things have changed, it might not go well as he thinks and there are more dangers besides the twins, Jey… a violent fight now is too big of a risk for him.
She'd probably never find out exactly what happened when Roman became the family's alpha and tribal chief, but she had an idea. Remaking such a scenario was something she didn't want, it was enough for her to see them fighting in the parking lot and even if they were doing everything they could to get to that point again, she was convinced that in the future they would regret it as much as they did then. A confrontation wouldn't have calmed anyone down and wouldn't have resolved problems, she didn't even understand why the elders who were supposed to be the wise men of the family were authorizing and encouraging everything. For the first time, incredibly, she found herself agreeing with Paul, even if she was still convinced his motivations were different.
- You’re worried about him... or about your job? – she pressed him and he nodded, cashing her shot.
- There will be nothing left if they will go down this way.
Again that nonsense, again that motivation. All of the Bloodline's business, all of their problems, everything, revolved around what they owned and could lose. It was an obsession that she couldn't swallow and she didn't fully understand. Y/N knew that it was important, that it had cost Roman blood, sweat, sacrifices, it was his will and somehow represented the future for the next generation, stability for the current one, but it was also a weight that was dragging them all to the bottom and for sure, not everything like Roman thought.
- And I must have given you the impression of being the least bit worried about the loss.
- Well, I should probably admit you proved to be different from what I thought, it rarely happens and Im sure that you would be able to survive without anything anyway, you’re used to it. You don't care about all of this, but you care about them, about him... I saw it… it matters to me too whether you believe it or not. We both want the family to survive Y/N. I've never seen him like this.
Maybe that desire wasn't the right choice after all, maybe it would have been better for everything to end, for them to completely turn the page to get rid of that cancer born from power. Maybe it was simpler and more painless to let them destroy everything, but seeing with how much anger and ardor Roman defended his empire, feeling what burned inside him through the bond, seeing that shadow in his eyes when he talked about it, prevented her from being sure. For him it was everything, it was his world, the reward behind years of dissatisfaction, it was so important that it pushed him to face someone he loved, to give it priority before his own blood. Y/N didn't want to watch Roman get hurt for it, but she couldn't turn away or fight him.
We’ll stay by his side. He’d do the same for us.
Thoughtfully, she studied Paul who was watching her with pleading eyes and blew in exasperation.
- So what do you want? Ain’t gonna start plotting with you, you heard me.
- No please, no. I’ll try to make the twins think about the whole situation, making a deal if we’re lucky, they’re hotheads but they grew up together, they’re a family. I'm just hoping for some support if needed. An extra voice of reason is useful and if that isn't enough, you know how to get them back in line.
He had smeared honey on every single word, a perfect lawyer and counselor already trying to calm things down to save his throat, whether from her or from Roman was not clear at that moment. She didn't like Paul, she would never like him and she would never trust him, but for once he was being a wise man. Whatever his reason was for not letting them get to the fight and even if she doubted he would be able to get Jey and Jimmy on their side again, maybe, the combat could be avoided. They had already done enough.
- So are we on the same side now? – he dared to ask, looking at her with a fake friendly expression that that Y/N struggled to bear for the first time.
- Roman can count on me. Not you. – she said clear, seeing anyway him immediately nod, satisfied with his incredible, miraculous victorious exit from the scene.
She couldn't believe she had gotten to the point where she even had to tolerate Paul. Things were bad for real.

Times Square August 2018
Manhattan, New York
“This place is amazing.” I said taking in the experience and people as Joe was showing me downtown Manhattan. “Come on, you gotta try a hot dog, they be busin’,” Joe said continuing to walk as I stopped in my tracks mesmerized by a movie trailer playing on the big screen.
“Hey, why did you stop? Joe asked coming over to see what had caught my eye.
“That’s amazing, I said pointing up at the larger-than-life screen in awe as Joe smiled at me. “You know your movie trailers are gon’ be playin’ up there someday,” he said as I laughed. “Oh, stop teasing me Joe,” I said waving him off as we continued our walk.
“I’m serious Shantell, you gon’ do amazing things and I can’t wait to cheer you on,” Joe said kissing my hand as I blushed.
“Well speak it into the atmosphere bestie,” I said smiling at him as we continued our search for a hotdog vendor.
“So, did Jey tell you about the new Candy development? Joe asked as I frowned at him. “No, what’s going on now? I asked as he sighed almost as if he was trying to find the right words to say.
“She had her lawyer contact Jey today, she all of a sudden wants a reconciliation. Mind you his brother just saw the other man at the house the other day,” he said as I growled in frustration.
“ I swear the more people tell me about this chick the more I want to punch her in the fuckin’ throat,” I said honestly as Joe laughed.  Wincing in pain I rubbed my side. “What was that?” Joe asked instantly moving my hand, rubbing my side where my hand had been.
“It’s nothing, I just had a sharp pain that caught me off guard. It’s gone now,” I said as he seemed to not be buying my answer.
“You sure, I mean cause doc can check you out at the building,” Joe said checking me over.
“I’m good stop worrying,” I reassured him as we finally found a vendor and got a few hotdogs. We spent a good portion of the afternoon just exploring the city.

Smackdown
Madison Square Garden
Shantell’s POV
“So, you actually behind a camera tonight? Jimmy asked as Tevin was helping me set up my camera. “Yes, I’m over your segment, we are going to run it on the after-show,” I said as Jimmy smiled. "I see they tryin’ to make these big moves to use you. That’s what’s up," Jimmy said as I smiled.
“Is it too heavy?” Tevin asked coming behind me trying to help me as I was trying to get used to the camera. “Nah, I think I’ll be good as long as I ain’t got to hold it long,” I said honestly as Tevin laughed putting his hands on my hips trying to keep me steady.
“Aye, no funny business, I got my eyes on you,” Jimmy said eying Tevin suspiciously as Tevin scoffed. I couldn't help but look at Jimmy horrified.
“I can assure you I’m a professional, Mr. Uso,” Tevin said as I gave Jimmy a look to shut up.
“Thanks, Tevin I want to put it down now since we’ve got a few minutes and we’re still waiting on Jey,” I said as he grabbed the camera off my shoulder.
I could hear the shuffle of feet in a steady jog. “Aye, I’m here ya’ll I had a meeting with Paul,” Jey said coming over as I smiled at him. Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m crushin’ bad.
“No problem, you didn’t have to rush,” I assured him as I took a deep breath dreading putting the camera on my shoulder, my side was already killing me.
“Ok, I need ya’ll by the fence,” I said walking over as they joined me. “Where do you want us,” Jey asked as I looked around at the lighting. “Jey on my left Jimmy pivot into Jey so I can do this in a tight shot,” I said as Jimmy and Jey looked confused.
“What the hell is a tight shot?” Jimmy said as I hit him on the shoulder jokingly. “Just trust me, I got ya’ll,” I said as they were trying to put their heads together bouncing ideas off of each other.
Jey’s POV
I have no clue what my brother is saying in this fuckin promo, I’m too focused on this motherfucka Tevin here finding every reason to touch Shantell.
I feel my fist tighten as I see him place his hands on her hips as she leaned up on her tiptoes.
Slowly growlin’ I opened my mouth slightly to show off my new grill.
“Tell’em all what we bout to do Jey,” Jimmy said as I I rubbed my hands together. “We back like we never left and we comin’! We comin’ for what’s ours, you looking at the soon-to-be Smackdown tag team champions! Wellllcoome!!! To the Uso Penatenturary!!  I shouted as Jimmy and me mean mugged the camera. I almost didn't see Shantell’s hand counting us down but we had it right before she yelled cut.
“Hell yea, ya’ll did great,” Shantell said as Tevin took the camera off her shoulder.
“Thanks, Shan,” I said giving her a hug shooting Tevin a look as he looked nervous. Yea, I know what you tryin to do and it ain’t gon’ work. Hands off this one bruh.
“Are you comin’ out wit us tonight?” Jimmy asked Shantell as she shook her head no. “Nah, I’m tired. I’m going to call home, check on my grandmother, and turn it in,” Shantell said.
“Well, I’ll owe you a drink in the next town,” I said as she smiled at me before her phone went off.
“Sorry ya’ll Paul is calling me,” she said walking off privately to take her call. “Aye, when you gon’ tell Shantell you feelin’ her?” Jimmy said as I frowned at him.
“I ain’t feelin’ her..I mean she’s cool, but she my Uce, that’s it. I told you I ain’t into dating nobody. I got too much shit goin’ on to bring anybody into this shit,” I said as Jimmy rolled his eyes.
“Well ok, that’s yo ass when she’s on somebody else’s arm. Then she really gon’ be just yo damn Uce,” Jimmy said walking away leaving me in my thoughts.
I mean did I really like Shantell?…… Nah, it can't be... We're just friends.

Time Square
Manhattan, New York
Jimmy’s POV
Jey and I hit a few bars tonight and got pretty damn lit. “Aye, where we at?” Jey asked as I laughed. “Shit, I don’t know see this why I wanted Trin to come wit us,” I said laughing pulling out my phone trying to focus.
“Aye, man this some bullshit,” Jey said as I tried to focus my eyes but my vision was blurry as fuck and I accidently pressed the live button on my Instagram. “Shit, how you turn this off,” I said trying to find the end live button as Jey grabbed my phone.
“Give me the fuckin phone, we fuckin lost in Time Square," Jey snickered as I laughed myself. “Oh my god it’s the Usos!” we heard someone say as I turned, seeing the guy coming closer to us as Jey laughed. “It’s the fuckin’ Usos! I exclaimed in an excited voice having a little fun with the fan.
“We lost in Time Square, now look at this motherfucka,” Jey said turning the phone on the fan as we continued to laugh. Then I saw Jey’s eyes get wide, a sudden realization dawned on him. I started to see more people making their way towards us and it hit me as well.
“Oh, shit we in a bad predicament, oh fuck we gotta go,” Jey said somewhat sober now. “We gon hit another bar?” I asked as Jey rolled his eyes “Hell nawl, we gotta go,” Jey said passing me my phone.
Trying to think of a way to end my live I began talking with a bit more sense. “Aye, uh, right now we gon’ head out,” I said as the fan interrupted me. “Can I get a photo really quick?” he asked as I looked at him unsure of what to say.
“Shit, turn it off Jon,” Jey said finally finding the button ending my live. “Man, you always getting me in shit,” Jey said as I rolled my eyes as we took a quick picture with the fan before continuing our way back to the hotel.
“I didn’t put no drink to yo mouth and make you drink it,” I said as he shook his head. “You might as well come on bro, get the bitch off yo mind, take a load off,” Jey mocked as I tried to shift the blame.
“See why you gotta bring up old shit?” I said as Jey ran his hands over his face. Well at least one of us was sobering up…

Embassy Suites
Shantell’s POV
Sitting on the balcony I finally felt relaxed, and I was finally feeling better. I was slowly dozing as my phone startled me, looking down I saw I got a notification on Instagram saying Jimmy had been live. “What the hell he goin’ live for at two in the morning?” I muttered clicking on his live.
“Oh my god,” I whispered watching the live in horror until it abruptly ended. “What the hell were they thinking?" I said to myself trying to calm down as heard commotion down below that seemed to be close by. I knew…Well I hoped it was them making it back safely.
“Son of a bitch,” I muttered going back into my room, slipping on some sweats along with my shoes, quickly grabbed my key. I opened my door and almost collided with Trin. "I can’t reach Jimmy nor Jey, have you heard from them?” she asked frantically as I dragged her hand, steering her towards the elevator.
“I think they are close by," I said as Trin wiped her tears. “I just don’t know what to do about Jimmy and this drinking. Now he got Jey out here acting stupid too,” she cried as I rubbed her back.
“Hey, he’s ok…and ya’ll are going to figure it out. Jey’s gon’ figure his shit out too, you gotta believe that,” I said trying to not freak out on this elevator that was moving so slow.
Jey’s POV
“Damn I ain’t got my key,” I muttered searching through my pockets as Jimmy was leaning up against the wall outside the hotel.
“Aye, can I stay wit you tonight? Trin gon’ kill me, I said I was only gon’ have two drinks. I can’t walk in the room like this, “Jimmy said somewhat sobering up.
“Glad you starting to sober up, but didn’t you hear me say I can’t find my fuckin’ key!” I screamed as Jimmy laughed.
“Excuse me, could you both keep it down people are trying to sleep around here. If you can’t keep it down we will have to call the proper authorities,” an older gentleman bellhop said as Jimmy rolled his eyes stepping to the guy.
“How about you mind yo fuckin business,” he said as I saw Shantell and Trin come out of the hotel. I would rather be anywhere than here looking at their faces right now.
“Ah hell,” I whispered as Trin walked up to Jimmy. “I’m sorry for my husband’s outburst, he’s just had a lot going on. I’m going to take him to bed now, “Trin said as Jimmy’s face softened.
“Hey baby!” he started as her cold stare made him zip his lips as she took him by the hand guiding him inside.  “I can’t believe you out here acting a fuckin fool, shit doesn’t make no sense. I’m getting real sick of the shit,” I heard her say as Jimmy hung his head.
Yeah, he was gon’ have a long day tomorrow groveling. My eyes met Shantell’s as she sighed looking around at everything but me. “Now what you gotta say?” I asked in a harsh tone as I saw Shantell look at me shaking her head in disbelief. “What are you talking about?” Shantell asked looking intently at me.
“Look I see how you lookin’ at me. What you ready to scold me, and judge me like everybody else? Just nagging like my damn wife do,” I accused, as Shantell looked at me in disappointment and sadness.
I knew I was wrong as fuck; and reckless with how I was speaking with her. This is why I hate drinking; I say shit I can’t take back and lines get crossed.
I knew Shantell was bout to let me have it as I watched the emotions play out across her face and I deserved it.
“First of all who the hell you think you talkin’ to? I ain’t yo wife and I damn sure ain’t your woman and even if i was you wouldn't talk to me that way.  All I was going to say is that you don’t need to be putting yourself in situations like that.  Anything could have happened Jey. I could hear ya’ll on my balcony and I just came down to make sure ya’ll were good,” Shantell said as I sighed in defeat and understanding because I couldn’t find the right words to say.
“I really thought after everything that happened last week, you would know that I would never do that to you, or anybody for that matter,” she whispered as I groaned in frustration knowing I had hurt her feelings with my accusations.
“Shantell I’m sorry,” I started as she cut me off bluntly.” I’m sorry to," she said pausing, rubbing her temples. The silence spoke louder than any words as we both were trying to process the conversation.
“You know what Jey?  I’m not sorry because as your friend I’m supposed to tell you when you fuckin’ up. You know why…Because that’s what real friends do. So I’m telling you to your face don’t fuck up everything you worked so hard for, do better,” she said as I nodded.
“Look you right, I gotta do better.  I didn't mean to come at you like that, I’m drunk and I ain’t thinkin’ clearly,” I said as she bit her lip.
“It’s okay, I’m just glad you both got back safe and ya’ll weren’t behind the wheel of a car. I’ll just holla at you later, good night, Josh,” she said walking back inside the hotel.
“Uh! You dumb fuck,” I whispered to myself as I saw her getting on the elevator, my heart dropping to my stomach as I saw her wiping tears from her eyes as the doors on the elevator closed.
"Excuse me, sir, I don’t mean to get in your business but women like that are the ones you don’t take for granted. That’s a real one right there, you betta go make it right young man before you lose her,” the bellhop said as I sighed.
“I will OG, but I want to say I’m sorry bout being loud and everything, just had a lot going on,” I said as he smiled.
“No harm, just take care of yourself,” he said as I shook his hand and began my journey up to Shantell’s room.
Now how the hell was I gon’ make this up to her?
-----
Shantell’s POV
Shantell save yourself you’re going to get hurt,” I said to myself getting ready for bed as I heard a knock on my door. I knew who it was, and I wasn’t in the mood.
“Go away Jey,” I whispered softly against the door as I heard him mutter something under his breath I couldn’t make out. “What did you say?” I asked hearing him take a deep breath.
“I just wanted to tell you I’m sorry again. I know you were just worried and lookin’ out for me,” he said as I contemplated opening the door.
“Jey, it’s ok just go sleep it off. We’ll talk tomorrow when you’re more sober,” I said as I heard him turn the doorknob. “Shan, can I come in? I just don’t want to end the night like this,” Jey said as I sighed slowly giving in unlocking the door, and letting him in.
“I’m sorry Shantell, It’ll never happen again,” he whispered taking me in his arms catching me off guard. “It’s ok,” I whispered enjoying being in his arms minus the strong stench of alcohol radiating off of him.
“Do you want some water?” I asked as he pulled away, going straight to my bed kicking off his shoes before laying down. “Nope, I just wanna lay wit you and talk. I don’t want to be alone tonight," he said as his gaze held mine.
"Why do you want to be here?" I whispered softly as Jey smiled at me."I sleep better when I’m wit you,” he said as I rolled my eyes but deep down it made my heart flutter.
“How you got that lil attitude with me a little while ago I should make yo ass go to your own room,” I said as he looked at me with a pout.
“Come on, I said I was sorry Shantell; it won’t happen again;” he said beckoning me with his finger licking his lips. Fuck he’s sexy and the problem is he knows it.
“I know yo ass better not throw up on me,” I said scrunching up my face is disgust at the thought. “Nah, I can hold my shit, I don’t throw up,” Jey said as he sat up and took off his shirt.
Whoa! What you doin’ Magic Mike?” I asked blushing looking at his beautiful chest and tattoos. “I’m getting ready for bed, you comin’ over here, or do I need to come get you,” Jey said without missing a beat now unbuckling his pants.  His cockiness sending a shiver down my spine.
“Well Mr. I can hold my shit, you need take a shower first if you plan on layin’ in my bed because you stank," I said as he raised an eyebrow at me.
“Oh it’s like dat?" he asked smirking at me, getting outta of bed.
“Yeah, it is, and brush your teeth there’s an extra toothbrush in the bathroom,” I said as he licked his lips.
“You tryin’ to get me all clean, you must tryin’ to take advantage of me,” Jey whispered invading my space as tried to calm my nerves. “Jey go take a shower,” I whispered as I felt his hands wrap around my waist.
“You know what I realized when we were on that trip? Jey asked as I looked at him intently. “What did you realize?” I asked as he pulled me closer.
It was almost like he was having an internal war with himself. “Nothin’ I’ll tell you when the time is right,’ Jey whispered his lips almost grazing my mine as I involuntarily moaned, turning my head before our lips met as his soft lips met my cheek.
“Jey we can’t,” I whispered pulling away as he nodded in agreement. “I know, and I’m sorry I even put you in this type of situation,” Jey said running his fingers through his hair before retreating to the bathroom to shower.
I released the breath I was holding looking at the bathroom door in relief. Yeah, that's definitely the alcohol talking. I knew tonight was going to be a long night for me, but I welcomed it because he was here and he safe.

Monday Night Raw
United Arena, Chicago, IL
Jey’s POV
“Jey it’s fine, stop apologizing, I’m not mad,” Shantell said trying to set up the show monitors as I watched her.
“I just want to make sure I treated you with the upmost respect. I know how I can get when I drink,” I said honestly as she stopped working to look at me.
“What’s the last thing the remember from last night,” she asked as I thought long and hard. “The last thing I remember is you letting me into your room and the rest is a straight blur,” I said trying to rack my brain trying to figure out what happened.
I saw Shantell lower her head and I felt bad instantly and I didn’t even know what I did wrong.
“Did anything happen?” I asked almost scared of the answer as she smiled softly at me. “No, you were a perfect gentleman, so rest easy,” she said rubbing my shoulder.
Shantell’s POV
He didn’t remember that he almost kissed me, I guess that was a good thing even though it stung a little. “I’m glad I behaved; I normally get horny as fuck when I drink,” Jey said as I blushed, playfully hitting his shoulder. “I can’t believe you just said that,” I said laughing as he smiled at me brightly as his phone rang.
“Damn she won’t stop calling. Her lawyer recommended marriage counseling before we make a decision, but I want this divorce,” Jey said looking at me in search of advice and understanding. It’s crazy how in sync we are, it’s almost scary.
“Hey, maybe ya’ll can work it out. Just keep your guard up,” I said rubbing my side. Ok, this pain is getting on my nerves. “Ow, that hurt,” I winced rubbing my side as Jey rubbed my shoulder.
“You alright?” Jey asked as I phone rang again. “Yea, I’m good. You take your call, I got to finish helping the crew get set up for tonight,” I said giving him a quick hug before walking away.
“Candy why you keep calling back to back? I know how to return a call when I ain’t busy. You know I’m at work,” I heard Jey say as I shook my head.  I pray he can walk away from that chaos.
Jey’s POV
“Jey we both agreed to counseling, please just come to a session,” Candy begged as I tried to keep my cool as my lawyer suggested.
“I will let you know when I’m off so we can maybe do a session, but my answer is still the same Candy. I want a divorce,” I said honestly as I saw Shantell helping with the set.
“I just want to make this work, I think we can get back on track,” Candy said as I tried to focus on her what she was saying but Shantell didn’t look right to me. Something was wrong.
“Aye, I’ll call you back later or my lawyer will hit you up,” I said hanging up before she could respond.  The closer I got to Shantell the more I knew I was right. “Hey, you a’ight,” Shantell?” I asked as I seen her eyes began to roll back in her head.  “Aye! Somebody help,” I yelled catching her in my arms, placing her gently on the floor.
“Hey, wake up Shantell,” I encouraged truly scared as Stu kneeled beside me. “Somebody call 911 and go get doc!”  Stu yelled checking Shantell’s pulse. “She’s breathing, thank god,” he whispered as I stroked her hair gently.
“Come on Shantell wake up now, you scaring me,” I whispered as I heard her moan in pain slowly coming to, grabbing her stomach.
Shantell’s POV
This pain has gotten worse, and I can’t hide it anymore. “You ok Shantell, you scared us baby,” Jey said as I tried to get up.
Did he just call me baby? Get it together Shantell, you just scared the shit outta the man.  “I’m ok, just help me get up,” I whispered grabbing my side.
“No, you ain’t ok, now don’t move,” Jey said as the pain became more intense. I tried to control my tears, but the pain was too much.
“It hurts so bad Josh,” I finally cried as he held me in his arms. “Hang on, help is coming. Shan” he said trying to remain strong, but I could tell he was scared.
“What the hell happened?” Joe said running up as I balled up in a ball in Jey’s lap trying any way I could to try to ease the pain. “She passed out and scared the fuck outta me. Now she’s complaining of pain,” Jey said holding me close as Joe pulled out his phone.
“Don’t you dare!” I screamed as Joe shook his head in defiance. I knew who he was about to call.
“No! I’m calling your mama, and your ass is going to the hospital, “Joe said leaving no room for argument. “Shantell, how long have you been hurting?” Mike asked as I looked at him afraid.
“Come on Shantell tell me sweetie,” he encouraged as another pain hit.
“It’s been off and on for about two weeks I guess,” I groaned as Joe frowned at me. “What the hell you mean two weeks!? Really Shan two weeks,” Joes scolded as I groaned in pain.
“Aye! Uce, she hurtin’, and I know you worried but doin' this ain’t helpin’,” Jey said stopping Joe’s rant.
“I’m gon' step over here and call your mom, I'll be back in a second,” Joe said walking away as I tried to hold it together.
“Joe’s mad at me,” I cried as Jey shushed me. “His ass will be ok, he’s just worried about you. We all worried about you," Jey said holding me tight now he said as the EMTs finally arrived.
Joe’s POV
“Hey, Joey how are you?” Tanya said as I smiled in spite of the situation. “Hey ma,  I’m good. I hate to call you like you but Shantell is sick and before you freak out she seems fine, just havin’ some pain. The EMTs are trying to get her ready to transport her to the hospital,” I said trying to calm her down before she got upset.
“What hospital are they taking her to, I’m about to book a flight to Chicago,” Tanya said as I saw the EMT’s now putting Shantell on a stretcher as Jey came over to me.  “What hospital?” I asked as Jey seemed to be focused on Shantell.
“They takin’ her to Mercy General,” he said as I relayed the message to Tanya. “Joe take care of my baby, I’m on my way,” Tanya said as l released the breath I was holding
“I got her ma, I’ll see you when you get here,” I said falling in line with Jey walking with EMT’s to the ambulance.
“We can allow one rider to come on board.  Does she have anyone to ride with her?” the EMT said as Jey, and I looked at each other. “I’m goin’ wit her," Jey said patting me on the shoulder before I could even get my words together. The ambulance doors slammed shut as Jey climbed in and sat beside shantell, grasping her hand to reassure her he was there.
The sirens blaring made me scared to even think about what was going on in the inside of that ambulance but I hoped Shantell would be ok.
---------
Mercy General Hospital, Chicago, IL
Shantell’s POV
“It’s a good thing you came in Shantell. The problem isn’t appendicitis, it’s your ovaries. Now your right ovary is in horrible condition, and you have adhesions all over your pelvic wall,” the doctor said showing the results.
“How does this work? I mean what happens to the ovary?” I asked as the doctor. touched my knee in support. “It’s badly damaged, we need to remove it,” he said as felt the tears coming.
“How can you do that, I mean how will I be able to have children?” I asked wiping my tears. “I’m going to be honest with you. It’s going to be very hard for you to have children due to the damage, but I feel we will know more after we get in there,” he said as I nodded not wanting to hear anymore.
I’m damaged, and I probably will never be a mom. “I know it’s a lot, but I promise I will take of you Shantell. We need to move fast;” he said as the nurse came in to administer the medication to get me comfortable before they take me to the OR.
I saw Jey a few steps behind coming to take a seat beside my bed as I tried and miserably failed to keep my tears at bay.
"Are you ok beautiful?" Jey asked as I shook my head yes, wiping the few tears that had escaped.
“You sure you, ok?” Jey asked again, holding my hand as I’m trying to hold it together.
“Well, I’m trying, it’s not every day you’re at work, collapse, and they tell you they need to do emergency surgery to take out one of your ovaries,” I say as Jey leans over wiping my tears away.
“You gon’ be ok,” he reassures me with a smile. His wife is a lucky woman, I hope they work it out their issues. I just appreciate how much of a great friend he’s been to me. He even rode in the ambulance with me here.
“I’m going to be damaged; the doctor says having kids is going to be hard for me,” I say trying to keep my tears at bay.
“You ain’t gon’ be damaged, you everything Shan. A man would be lucky to have you, I mean you could adopt. You can do the thing where you let somebody carry the baby for you,” he says fumbling a little over his words.
“Well, I’m glad your positive about this,” I say throwing him a small smile. “A few of my family members are adopted, and we love them just the same, they blood, “he whispers kissing my hand.
“You’re so nice to me,” I say feeling the drugs taking effect, trying to force my eyes to stay open.  “You stuck wit me too, yo' ass is in the family now. He says staring at me smiling lightly.  “Just sleep, everybody will be here when you wake up baby,” Jey says as I finally let sleep take over.

Tanya’s POV
“You really know how to do it up big don’t you. Your last show being an intern for these folks, and you fall yo ass out, on the job,” I said trying to lighten the mood as Shantell shifted in bed trying to get comfortable.
“Oh, you really funny,” Shantell whispered as Joe tried to feed her some Jello. “Joe, I ain’t had no food in almost twelve hours. I’m hungry ya’ll, this ain’t cool,” she whined as Joe snickered. She slowly chewed the jello he placed in her mouth frowning as Joe shook his head at her antics.
“I sent Jey at you some soup from a deli I saw down the street, so just be patient,” Joe said leaning over, gently kissing Shantell on the forehead as she sighed.
Oh, my goodness, they would be such a cute couple, but Shantell keeps stressing to me they are just friends. I could totally see him being my son-in-law.
“I’m back with the soup ya’ll,” Jey said coming in as Shantell smiled brightly. Now wait a damn minute now….Is she smiling about the food or is she smiling because he’s back?
I didn’t have to wait long for my answer as Joe moved, and Jey took his spot.
“I got you some chicken noodle soup,” Jey said taking the lid of the soup as I looked at my daughter in awe. “Thank you,” Shantell whispered as he began to feed her. The way they interact wit each other ain't fooling me one damn bit.
Oh, yeah miss thing we gon talk about this one when we get home. It seems I have missed a whole new development.
My baby was in love with Joe’s cousin Jey, and if my mind ain’t playin’ tricks on me he looks just as smitten with her.
What the hell is going on?

Hii!! Love your imagines!!
Was wondering if I could request a Kevin Owens x Sami Zayn x reader (platonic) fanfic? Where you are all best friends but ever since you joined the Bloodline in 2020 and started dating Roman you iced them out.
And like how Kevin was tryna convince sami to leave the bloodline, they try to convince you to leave the bloodline in every way possible, but you ignore them cause you think you can’t get the big break in your career without roman, and now that ur womans champ it is because of roman.
And ur notorious for jumping ship when you don’t get ur way, so everyones expecting you to betray roman when he accidentally costs you your womens championship. And Sami and Kevin keep finding you after roman keeps treating you horribly and tryna convince you that roman doesn’t care about you the way they do. And that the way he is treating you, an amazing person, is shitty. But you just give them sad looks that hurt them and brush them off. And Kevin just wants to kill Roman but knows he has to get you away from him first.
But you don’t even think of betraying Roman cause you genuinely think ur not good enough without Roman until you caught him cheating on you. And then you just silently snap and as soon as Roman goes out to cut a promo against Sami and Kevin your music hits and you make ur way to the ring with a kendo stick. And Kevin and Sami think your so far gone that ur gonna attack them with it but you attack a smug roman with it and shockingly attack him and beat him up and sami and kevin are shocked and pull you off of him before he could hurt you. And they are confused when the three of u are backstage and you just break down and cry and tell them everything and they hug you. And kevin wants to tell you i told u so but knows nows not the time. They both tell you that you did the right thing and that you deserve better. And you keep apologizing and they say they forgive you and kevin and sami are sad that ur hurting and happy you are finally back with them, that their best friend is back. and comfort you the rest of the night in the hotel.
Sorry if this is too long, you don’t have to do all this. Have a great day! :)

“All you have to say is yes and you’ll be running this division with my tribal chief. Right by his side. He can give you anything that those fools could never give you.” Paul negotiates with y/n.
“Let me…think about it.” Y/n sighs, “I have a lot going on right now dealing with him and those “fools” that are my best friends.” Y/n narrows her eyes.
Paul opens his mouth to say something only to immediately bow his head. Y/n raises an eyebrow and turns around, being met with Roman Reigns himself.
“Me and your fools fight got nothing to do with you, baby. You putting too much energy on something that they are dragging you down with them. Join me? And you won’t even have to worry about that. All you gotta worry about is nothing.” Roman smiles, “Let me do the work for you and you’ll be even bigger than them.”
Y/n knew it was wrong but the idea alone of being able to rise to the top was brainwashing her. Before she even has the chance to answer, two men appear in front of her; blocking her view of Roman.
“Don’t talk to her.” Sami shakes his head, “She has nothing to do with our problems.”
Roman chuckles, “that’s not what I be hearin’ but let me just mind my business.” Roman raises his hands in surrender before making eye contact with y/n who is tryna take a glance at him, “You got 5 days ma, think about it.” With that, Roman and Paul walk away from them.
Kevin immediately looks at Y/n who looks like a kid just got caught doing something they weren’t supposed to do. “What is he talking about?”
Y/n looks at both of her best friends before sighing, “He offered me a really nice offer that would make me stupid if I don’t take it into consideration.” Y/n sighs.
“You’ll be stupid even if you do take it into consideration.” Kevin narrows his eyes.
“He’s bad news y/n/n. Do not fall for his tricks.”
“Ok ok…” Y/n nods, “I won’t.”
“You promise? We don’t want you anywhere near him. So promise.” Kevin demands.
“I promise.”
•••
Kevin and Sami stare down at the ramp where The Bloodline are coming down the ramp. It’s been 3 years since that conversation and 3 years since y/n picked their rival over them. When they found out about her decision, they were pissed. Absolutely pissed. They had tried talking to her over and over again to leave the bloodline but when she had told them why she couldn’t, they were even more pissed than before.
“Are you fucking stupid?” Kevin stared at you with betrayal and disappointment, “You took up the offer after everything.”
“You do realize he doesn’t like us right?” Sami asks with a frown, “Which means he’s just going to use you against us.”
“We’re dating.” Y/n blurts out and immediately closes her eyes, knowing she fucked up even more.
Kevin lets out a breathy laugh mixed with a scoff as he stares at her. Out of anger, he walks away. Sami looks at y/n with betrayal as she slowly opens her eyes to stare off at Kevin before looking back at Sami.
“You promised…”
Y/n avoids eye contact with the duo as she gets inside the ring with Roman and his cousins, all holding a finger up high. Y/n holding it down low. Roman notices and raises her hand up higher, taking a glance over Sami and Kevin with a smirk.
“She’s not a dog.” Kevin says out loud towards Roman.
Y/n looks over at Kevin and glares, “Shut up, Kev.” Y/n says harshly.
“Yeah, mind your business.” Roman smirks as he gets in his corner.
“Good luck…” Y/n tells him as she goes through the ropes but is stopped immediately as Roman pulls her face closer and gives her a kiss.
Kevin charges at him but is automatically stopped by Sami and the referee. “Kev! Kev!” Sami pleads as she tries pushing the man away from Roman.
Y/n pulls away, flustered, before getting down from the ring with the help of the twins.
The match starts and Solo is tagged in almost immediately. Roman laughs as he points at Kevin who’s already fuming as it is, “The hell he think this is?” Roman chuckles and gets out of the ring as Solo gets in.
The match is on a roll as Y/n watches anxiously. If she was gonna be honest, she was rooting for Kevin and Sami. She loves Roman, she does, but Kevin and Sami are her best friends and she didn’t want to see them lose.
“Yo y/n/n.” Jimmy walks over to you, “We goin distract the ref, pass this over to uce.” Jimmy hands over some brass knuckles to her.
“No…no i can’t do that.” Y/n immediately shakes her head, pushing his hand away from her.
“He wants you to do it. Don’t disappoint our tribal chief.” Paul snaps at her, pushing them into her hands.
Y/n nibbles her lip nervously before walking around the ring. Sami notices her and sees the brass knuckles in her hand, immediately jumping down the ring and rushing to her. “Don’t do that please.” Sami pleads with her.
“Move.” Y/n sighs trying to get around him only for him to follow her movement, “Sami…” she pleads.
Jimmy jumps on the ring and starts distracting the ref as Jey runs around towards Y/n who quickly moves to the side and sends a kick to Sami’s face.
“Go! Go! Go!” Jey rushes y/n who rushes over to where Roman is waiting.
Y/n walks over and makes eye contact with Kevin who is also yelling at Jimmy to get away.
“Y/n!” Roman shouts, “Give me the dam brass.” He holds his hand out.
Y/n looks at Roman then back at Kevin, “Why can’t you just win normally?” Y/n pleads.
“Give him the dam thing!” Paul shouts and Y/n, with pressure, fumbles around and hands them to Roman who snatches them and puts them on.
Roman turns around and sends a punch to Kevin with the brass knuckles, immediately knocking him down and taking the win. The twins slide in to celebrate with their cousin and brother. Y/n stays outside the ring and stares at Kevin who had rolled out of the ring and is now holding his face. Sami walks over to him and sighs, staring over at y/n.
“Sami…” Y/n goes to walk over but is immediately stopped by Roman who calls for her. Y/n completely forgets about what she was going to do and slides into the ring, walking over to Roman who wraps his arm around her and holds his titles up with a smirk.
Kevin and Sami both look over, “We gotta get her out of there…”
•••
“Y/n!” Y/n immediately picks up her pace as she tries rushing away from the men who are trying to get her attention. All she wanted to do was go to her hotel room and cry. Her body hurt and what she wanted was to have a simple comforting hug from her boyfriend…instead she had gotten told off.
“Here is your winner…Bianca Belair!” The announcer announces after Bianca had just pinned her down.
Y/n stares at the uso twins who look at her with wide eyes then back at Bianca who is celebrating her win.
“NO NO NO!” Y/n shouts as she stands up and attack Bianca from behind. “NO! NO! NO!”
Sami catches her arm and stops her from making anymore movement. Y/n turns around and looks at both of them, annoyance plastered on her face.
“What.” She snaps.
“We heard.” Kevin says and y/n feels her annoyance flair off and instead embarrassment covers her features before she conceals it immediately.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about…” Y/n shakes her head.
She did.
“Yo y/n/n…” Jimmy walks over to where she’s at, packing her clothes. “Uce wants to see you…it ain’t good.”
“Yeah…he pissed.” Jey looks at her with a sympathetic expression.
Y/n nods slowly before walking away from them to go to her boyfriend’s locker room. She was trying to avoid him as much as possible after her match but knowing him, he was going to see her whether she wanted him to or not.
She gets to his locker room and knocks first, trying to waste time. Clearly Thor wasn’t on her side as she hears his voice.
“Open.” Roman says.
Y/n takes in a deep breath before walking in and closing the door behind her. She sees him sitting down on his couch, man spreading with his hand holding his face.
“The twins said you wanted to see me…” she says.
“You disappointed me today, y/n.” Roman says, “You lost your match after you promised you’d win it…”
“Just because I promised something, doesn’t mean it’s always going to be kept.” Y/n rolls her eyes. She was shading herself.
“You getting smart with me?” Roman raises an eyebrow, “She getting smart with me?” Roman looks over at Paul who shakes his head.
“Indeed she is.” Paul tsked.
Roman stands up and walks over to y/n who keeps eye contact with him. “You should remember who even booked you before you get all sappy with me, y/n. I can take away your shine just like this…” he holds his hand up and snaps his finger. “Respect your tribal chief and remember who got you here.”
“I can get here on my own…” y/n narrows her eyes.
Roman laughs, he actually laughs in her face. Y/n is baffled as she watches him look back at Paul while still laughing then looks back at her. “Oh really?” Roman raises an eyebrow.
Y/n feels her confidence falter as she nods slowly, feeling herself wanting to break eye contact.
“Then do it.” Roman snaps, “oh wait? you can’t. wanna know why? because you don’t got the power that i have. you don’t have the voice that i have. you are nothing without me. you are nobody without me.”
“Why don’t you just leave y/n/n?” Sami sighs, “he called you nobody and i bet you he’s making you feel worthless right now.”
Y/n looks at Sami offended, “Seems like you’re the one making me feel worthless. He’s the reason why I am even getting noticed. He’s just trying to remind me who got me here.”
“and you believe that?” Kevin says and when you don’t answer, he scoffs. “Of course you believe that. You believe everything that comes out of his mouth. He doesn’t care about you. He’s using you for his own benefit.” Kevin spats out.
Y/n stares at both of them before slapping Kevin in the face, “Don’t ever disrespect him like that. He can get me where I want to be. I know he will. I trust him.”
•••
“Here is your winner and the new wwe women’s world champion, y/n y/l/n!” the announcer announces as the crowd cheers for y/n.
The usos snatch the title from the ref and slides into the ring to hand it to y/n who raises it up with a big smile. Roman smirks and walks up the steel steps before getting in the ring. He holds his arms open and motions for Y/n to come over.
Y/n smiles and runs over to him, jumping into his arm as she gives his cheek multiple kisses. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank youuuu!” Y/n gives him a long kiss on the lips.
The moment ends as Sami’s entrance music hits and everyone cheers automatically as Roman snaps his head over towards the ramp where Kevin and Sami are walking down of. Y/n stares at her ex best friends then back at Roman whose hold tightens.
The Bloodline watches as the best friends make their way towards the ring and walks up both of the steel steps. They slowly get in and stare at y/n.
“Got a problem?” Roman asks them as he puts y/n down and gets closer to them.
“Nope, no problem.” Kevin shakes his head as he keeps his eyes targeted at y/n.
Roman takes notice and blocks their view making Kevin chuckle before looking at Sami who holds his hand up in surrender.
“We just wanted to say congrats.” Sami says as he takes a glance over at y/n, “We’re proud of you…” he smiles.
Y/n looks at them and nods slowly, looking away. “We would be even more prouder if you did it by yourself but…” Kevin shrugs and y/n snaps her head towards him with offense.
Roman looks over at his cousins and gives them a look which they automatically understand. The Usos attack Kevin and Sami who saw it coming and knocks them down.
Y/n rushes out the ring and holds her newfound championship close as she watches the men go in a brawl.
“Go.” Paul ushers her away, “Go go go.”
•••
Y/n wraps her championship around as she’s getting ready to defend it against Rhea Ripley, again.
“It looks good on you.” Y/n snaps her head over to see Sami watching her put it on.
“Screw you both.” Y/n says as she puts on her leather jacket.
“He’s sorry for what he said…” Sami says.
“Then why isn’t he apologizing himself?” Y/n raises an eyebrow.
Sami sighs, “We’re worried about you y/n. You could have still made it even without them you know?”
Y/n eyes him and shakes his head, “No…no i wouldn’t. He gave me chances that you and Kevin couldn’t even give me.” Y/n says.
Sami frowns, “We could have given you a chance to prove yourself…and make your work hard to earn stuff.”
“Whatever Sami, i’ll see you around.”
•••
Y/n eyes widened as brass knuckles are pushed into her hand as Roman gives her a look. “Use it and win it.”
Y/n looks over at Rhea then at Roman, “I-I can’t.” Y/n stutters, “Thats cheating.” Y/n shakes her head. She will do anything to win but cheating was not an option for her.
“God damit y/n.” Roman huffs before walking away and rushing over towards the ring and stands on it to distract the ref.
Y/n sees that she has no choice but to use the brass as she stands up and uses them on Rhea. She pins her down and waits for the ref to count.
But it never comes.
Y/n snaps her head up and sees Roman not noticing her pinning Rhea down. Y/n stands up and storms over there and catches the ref’s attention.
“I was pinning her damit!” She shouts at the ref who apologizes before turning towards Roman and forcing him down. Y/n looks down at Roman and gives him a look, “I did it! Why didn’t you stop talking.” Y/n snaps with a frown.
Y/n feels herself getting yanked around and get positioned into a riptide.
“1! 2! 3!” the bell rings as the crowd cheers.
“Here is your winner and the new women’s world champion, Rhea Ripley!”
•••
The Bloodline get’s backstage. Roman is fuming as Y/n follows behind him with her head down and quiet. Everyone parts away to make space for them, not wanting to get in between Roman’s wrath. They get to their locker room and it’s silent for a moment as everyone watches Roman take deep breaths to calm himself down.
“You had one job.” Roman says, “You had one single job. It was to retain what was supposed to be your championship belt. But you can never do anything right. When I tell you to do something? You fucking do it y/n.” Roman looks over at y/n who narrows her eyes as she fights to keep herself from crying.
“I did do it right though…I used the brass knuckles and I pinned her. You were the one that was still distracting the referee…” Y/n frowns.
Roman narrows his eyes, “Are you blaming me right now? You saying it’s my fault that you lost your own dam title?” Roman snaps, “It’s your own dam fault. You were the one that was pinned down by a stupid ass finisher and you were supposed to kick out of the finisher. It’s all your dam fault.” Roman gets closer to her, taking heavy deep breaths.
Y/n closes her eyes and keeps her head down, avoiding any eye contact. Her eyes snap open as she feels her arm get gripped up and herself getting dragged away and towards the door where he opens it and shoves her out, slamming the door in her face. Y/n jumps when the door shuts and she takes in a shaky breath.
“Everything ok?” Y/n hears Kevin’s voice behind her and all she wants to do is curl up and let him comfort her but she already fucked up too many times tonight and she rather not piss Roman off even more.
“Mhm…” Y/n turns towards them and starts walking away, hearing them follow her.
“Do you seriously not see what he’s doing to you y/n? He doesn’t even care about you. We told you countless times how he’s just using you. You seen how he just easily kicked you out of his locker room? Like you were trash? You don’t deserve that.” Kevin shakes his head.
“You’re an amazing person y/n/n who’s getting treated by a self centered piece of shit.” Sami scoffs already sick and tired of the whole ordeal.
Y/n looks at them and feels her eyes gloss over as she shakes her head and walks away completely. They seen your face. You were hurt. Extremely.
“I’m gonna kill him…I swear it.” Kevin seethes as he turns towards where The Bloodline locker room is and goes to charge himself over there but is stopped by Sami who shakes his head.
“We have to get her out first…”
•••
The universe was buzzing. Y/n has been getting multiple notifications from posts she’s been mentioned on or tagged on. They were all talking about her match and how Roman costed it. Rumors were going around saying how she was going to betray him next week but if y/n’s gonna be honest…she doesn’t think she can betray him.
He has done everything for her. He had made her more known, he had given her more opportunities than many, he has had her in matches that she wouldn’t have expected herself to be in if she wasn’t with him.
He has done everything for her and just thinking about a betrayal makes her feel ungrateful. She’s not. She is grateful, she really is.
•••
Until she wasn’t.
Ever since she lost her match and the argument between her and Roman, she had noticed how secretive he’s been. He stopped having an arm around her, he stopped giving her kisses, he stopped being the boyfriend that she used to know and love.
She found out why.
Y/n was laying down in hers and roman’s shared hotel bed as she goes through her phone and looks at all the posts that she’s been tagged in about her match. Roman had left his phone charging on the nightstand next to the hotel phone.
*buzz*
Y/n looks over to Roman’s phone when she hears it vibrates. She grabs it and looks at the new message that he has and frowns.
Yasmin: you’re still coming over right?
Y/n narrows her eyes before looking towards the bathroom, seeing him still in the shower. Y/n opens his phone up and opens up the message, her heart immediately shattering as she goes through the messages. It was all about of lovey text messages that she used to have with Roman before she had lost her match. He was cheating on her…
Y/n quickly closes his phone when she hears the water turn off and Roman getting out. She puts her phone to charge before getting comfortable as possible and closes her eyes
That was the day that she broke. He had been cheating on her since the moment they started dating.
Today she was avoiding Roman. Instead of staying in the bloodline locker room, she was staying in the women’s. Y/n was avoiding everyone actually. She even avoided Kevin and Sami, afraid that she would have a breakdown if she even thinks about talking to them.
Y/n is standing in front of the screen as she watches Sami and Kevin do their promo. They were calling Roman out, not to her surprise.
“There you are…” Y/n hears Roman’s voice and her mood immediately sours as she feels him come up behind her. “I’m gonna go cut their promo, you coming or what?” Roman looks down at Y/n who just shakes her head. Roman narrows his eyes before shrugging and making his way towards the curtains and walking out.
Y/n watches as he makes his way down the ramp with his cousins and Paul. Y/n looks away and feels herself as lonely as ever as she watches her fellow coworkers talk to their work best friend and she starts reminiscing about how she, Sami, and Kev were like before she betrayed them to be with Roman.
Y/n feels her eyes darken as she sets her eyes on a stack of kendo sticks. She makes her way over to them and grabs one out of the stack and makes her way towards the curtain.
•••
The men snap their heads towards the ramp when y/n entrance music hits the arena. The crowd cheers for her as they watch her walk down with a kendo stick in her hand. Sami and Kevin immediately look at Roman who has a smug look on his face as he watches her slide inside the ring and get closer to Sami and Kevin. Y/n stares at both of them, feeling the adrenaline pump through her veins. Kevin shakes his head as he prepares to get hit with the kendo stick.
Y/n raises the kendo stick and the crowd is shocked as you turn around and attack Roman with it. Everyone starts cheering for her as they watch y/n take Roman down with the kendo stick.
The men watch with wide eyes as they watch her lose her shit. The Usos immediately get into action to stop you but Sami and Kevin both attack them first and take them down. Once they get the brothers out of the ring they grab you away before you could lose the upper hand.
•••
Y/n stares at Kevin and Sami who stare at her with shock written all across their faces.
Y/n feels her eyes burn as she swallows thickly. “You were right…” Y/n croaks out. Before they knew it, she was in full blown tears as she starts rambling on about the things he’s done and said to you behind closed doors. “Then I found he HES CHEATING ON ME.” Y/n lets out a choked sob as she covers her face and cries into her hand.
Sami rushes over and pulls her into his arm, letting her cry it out. Y/n wraps her arms around him and cries harder.
Kevin stares and forces himself to bite his tongue as he watches your body rack up with sobs. He’ll say it another time.
“You did the right thing…” Kevin nods, deciding that’s the better way of going about this. “You did right on beating him up and embarrassing him in front of thousands of people. You showed him who really has the power in this division.” Kevin says.
Y/n glances over at him and pulls away from Sami, “Really?” She croaks out.
“Absolutely. You deserve 100% better than him. Whatever he put you through was not ok and you deserve someone else who can give you everything that he couldn’t.” Sami smiles as he wipes away her tears.
“I’m so sorry for what I did to you guys. I’m so sorry for costing your matches, I’m sorry for brushing you off, ignoring you, pretending you guys never existed to me. You guys don’t deserve that…” Y/n sniffs as she feels herself getting pulled into Kevin’s arms.
“We forgive you, we knew you’d come around. We’re just glad to have you back with us.” Kevin gives her head a kiss.
“Why don’t we go on a late night drive like old times? Hmm?” Sami suggests.
Y/n smiles and nods, “Like old times.”

Just Like Before. Pt. 2 {Rhea Ripley x Fem!Bloodline!Reader}
Roman didn’t even seem to care about how Y/N would feel about this “Temporary Alliance.” The Tribal Chief hasn’t been treating her like an equal member of the Bloodline lately because of her brother's betrayal at Royal Rumble. The sound of the chair hitting his back was deafening, and for a moment Y/N forgot she was being watched by thousands of people. Roman and Paul have been holding Y/N under a microscope ever since, waiting to see if she’d betray him like Sami had. Y/N knew that's the real reason Roman chose The Judgement Day to help them with their Sami Zayn problem. He wanted to see if being around Ripley would keep her loyal to The Bloodline.
Since the alliance began, The Judgment Day was forced to attend The Bloodlines meetings. The meeting would always go the same way, Dominik would act like a bored child and make loud huffs which would lead to Paul yelling at him, then Rhea would get mad at Paul for yelling at Dom, then eventually everyone would get pissed at each other. YN would do what she always did and just sit and wait for the chaos to end. Today however it felt like it would never end, and in all the yelling and attempted assaults, Y/n had snuck out of the meeting room. Backstage had become a safe palace for Y/n in the past year, nobody bothered her, and she could get away from The Bloodline. Y/n sat on a large storage box that was in the corner, Staff would walk past her and say a quick ‘hello’, then get on with their jobs.
“Hey.” Y/n knew that voice, its the voice that calmed her during storms when she was a kid, it was Sami. Y/n looked up to see the kind smile of her brother, she looked back down, hoping he would just walk away if she ignored him.
“I'm sorry about Roman making you work with her, you don’t deserve that.” Sami says remorseful,
“If the Tribal Chief thinks what's best then,” Y/n paused with a snarky tone, “Then that's what's best.” Y/n’s eyes meet her brothers again. Sami thinks for a moment trying to figure out what he should say. Y/n hops off the storage box she’d been sitting to stand in front of her brother properly,
“Listen Y/n, I'm really sor-” before Sami can finish, Rhea appears beside them. Rhea stares intimidatingly at Sami,
“Is he bothering you y/n?” Rhea finally says in a dangerously calm voice. Y/n looks between Rhea and her brother, then gets between them,
“No, he was just leaving.” Y/n squints at Sami, hoping he'd get the message. Sami looks at Y/n then at Rhea, clearly not happy with his little sister's current situation. He sighs,
“Yeah, um, just, think about it ok Y/n?” Sami mutters before leaving the two women alone. Y/n watches as Sami walks away. Rhea moves in front of Y/n to block her sight of Sami. Rhea’s eyes hold a wicked look in them,
“So you ran off to speak with the enemy?” Rhea speaks bitterly. Why won’t Rhea just leave her alone? After all this time she can’t just waltz back in that easily. All Rhea Has ever done is hurt Y/n. They met in NXT and became friends, that friendship slowly became something more. Joining the WWE roster with Rhea was one of the happiest days in Y/n’s life, not only would she be working with Sami but her girlfriend as well. The crowd loved Rhea and Y/n’s relationship, the two of them were an electrifying and entertaining tag team as well. But when Rhea joined the Judgment Day it all crumbled. Rhea didn’t spend time with Y/n anymore, and she’d come home late at night. Rhea finally broke up with Y/n leaving her to deal with it on her own. Sami asked Y/n to join the bloodline with him, and the rest was history. Y/n gets out of her deep thoughts, and leered at Rhea,
“No, I was trying to get away from you.” Rhea chuckles at Y/n’s response, and grabs one of Y/n’s arms, pulling her close.
“Well. you can’t get rid of me that easily.”

Blackwater XIX
Raiting: 18+
Warnings: well I said a couple of months ago that something was toxic… there’s a lil bit of non-con this time, so if someone of you is not ready, im sorry, is that chap.
A/N: this chapter wasn't very easy to write, but the next ones won't be either, let's wish each other good luck.
Tumblr media
She had hoped to go somewhere else, but with problems piling up day after day doing so wasn't even an option. It was safer to stay south, where their reservation still acted as a natural stop to any external influence coming from across the border, plus Roman was in the area, though again not there with her, having yet another meeting with yet another person for yet another deal.
She hadn't been very happy about it at first, but had to admit at least to herself that maybe it was for the best. In town she had finally found something she could bring to Lisa to thank her and plus they were relatively close home, which meant they would be there before night and she could go to bed to recover a bit.
The stress caused by the situation did not help either her mood or body already affected by hormonal swings of a heat that Y/N prayed to postpone as long as possible. She wasn't sleeping well due to too many thoughts, she was losing her appetite, as well as the desire to go running and that afternoon she had another one of her waves of shivers which was trying to fight with some hot chocolate in an attempt to also replenish a sugars. She had bought Solo a coffee too, but he kept holding it in his hand without drinking, too busy glaring at anyone who dared come closer than necessary, that was not even so close.
- You didn't grow up here, did you? – she asked, interrupting silence between them once again, because they spent a lot of time together, but even if he seemed willing to talk with her, their conversations were never long.
He looked at her a bit confused, putting aside his perpetual serious face for a moment, coffee still in his hand.
- Jimmy said you came here after, like me – she explained, letting out an encouraging smile and he shook his head no.
- I grew up in the area, with my family.
Y/N let out a surprised oh, going back to twirling the straw in silence as they walked towards the suv.
From the stories she had thought he had come from out of state to help Roman, but she probably misunderstood. She hadn't spent much time with Solo's family, she had only seen them once actually and he didn't open up more than necessary, most of the time talking about what there was to do during the day, well she talked, he was more comfortable listening.
- Not with them. They were always together somewhere. – he added unexpectedly, perhaps not to make her uncomfortable with another silence or perhaps not to make her feel so out of place and Y/N smiled gratefully.
Y/N saw him nod slightly, as if satisfying her had satisfied him too.
She had never really thought about it, but there was an age gap between him and those three. Now he was a big boy with muscles and a menacing look, in those years he had probably just been a kid that them didn't want around. She couldn't imagine what it was like, Y/N hadn't had any brother or sister, she had grown up alone, but the half year spent with all of them before the chaos was enough for her to understand. Maybe he couldn't have tolerated them as a kid, always together already as pack leaving him at home and doing their own business, but now he was a man, it was different.
His family is broken.
- I'm sorry, Solo...
Standing next to the black suv, he looked at her, again confused by her reaction.
- We have to do what needs to be done.
- They're your brothers no matter what.
- I swore to the Tribal Chief. They did it too. – he said serious, his tone almost angry.
In packs like theirs, still tied to old laws and traditions, it was normal to have a relationship of deep respect with those at the top. Those were legacies that were now intertwined with a changed society but still subject to natural balances, such as the amendment on property rights between mates and social hierarchies for those who belonged to or were born from groups not commonly seen well. Y/N, with her omega smell, knew a lot about it and had had to deal with it there too in the first few months, but the prospect of an acknowledgment, oath, was new and something she hadn't heard.
She saw Solo open the door to let her in, his face less angry, but still solemn.
- You don't have to – he reassured her, mistaking her silence for concern, dark round eyes stopping too long lower, at the base between her neck and shoulder, where Y/N had tightened her jacket trying to send away the cold shivers – you already have his… smell.
Smell wasn't the word he wanted to say, but what Solo was referring to, she didn't have yet.
Our mark. His mark.
That too was an old legacy, dangerous in her case, but Y/N didn't have time to think too much about it by looking for her phone which in the meantime had notified of a message.
***
Paul was a smart man. Roman had chosen him as a wise man for that very reason. There was no one in the entire country more capable than him, no one who had his level of experience. He was a lawyer, an advisor, a connoisseur, he had political support, important acquaintances within the packs and outside, plus his family had practically adopted him when he was a boy, so he was not a stranger. The wise man was many things, but honest only when necessary and Roman had never had a problem with that kind of approach in their time together. He tolerated all sorts of expedient for his purpose, he had learned the hard way how much it cost to have feelings, but everything changed if those tricks helped something of which he was not made aware.
Because Roman knew from years and life lessons. Loyalty and trust were something he no longer expected, from anyone and certainly not from someone who had stayed afloat when everyone else drowned. Everyone could be a friend, everyone could be an enemy, his wolf now did no exception and all the whispers, phone calls and messages that kept Paul busy even when they were together were nothing but further proof of a picture that he knew. The wiseman acted driven by the feeling of ground crumbling beneath their feet, frightened by changes that his cousin and those dogs on the border threatened, by the possibility of a future that Roman would not allow as long as he was able to breathe. He loved the wise man, he could forgive him being a coward, pretending not to see, at least until he took a step too far.
- So? – he asked annoyed, almost making the phone fly out of his hand.
- Two weeks. Tomorrow both of you will exchange the sogi – he reported in a heavy voice, his shoulders low, his face frowning as if someone had just stepped on him after the news.
He didn't like the prospect of that fight, first of all because he was risking his head. Roman knew even without having to ask that he would play his cards to make things better and save everything, but for him the two weeks he had dealt were too much time and those plans useless. Fourteen days were the ritual time to provide what was necessary for families, so that both parties were ready for any outcome, but for him were just a useless wait. He wouldn't be the one to lose, he had no alternatives to plan unlike Jey, he just needed to have free way and get his hands on his cousin.
- About the stipulations, I was thinking- he advanced, trying to recover as much as possible.
- There are none.
- My Tribal Chief, if I may, considering what we are facing now, it would be better to leave a few more resources and perhaps-
- There will be no stipulations.
He had complied with stipulations, conditions for weeks, suffered weakness for months, the time for mercy was over. He had left many doors open for his cousins, he had tried everything and Jey however had gone where he shouldn't, disrespecting him to the point of contesting him with the Elders, they had gone too far and now there was only one way to put an end to it. The only acceptable stipulation was unconditional surrender, total humiliation, there was nothing else to talk about. Guts were needed to keep their family in line, his dad had reminded him of this and Roman was not willing to receive other reminders in the future, he was no longer a boy. Whatever happened next, he would handle it the way he handled everything, with a firm grip and without regard, he didn't need those two to do it. He was the alpha, he had control and winning cards to play against everyone.
- How much longer do we have to stay here? – he asked, tired of waiting, staring with annoyance at the watch on his wrist.
They had been in that office longer than he was willing to tolerate and he couldn't stand listening to the wise man calls or him typing messages anymore, he didn't have all day to waste signing a deal with the governor. He had to train, dedicate the next fourteen days focusing on the goal, not sitting bored in a chair waiting for a paper that should have already been ready the second he set foot in that building.
- I'm going to immediately check where Pearce has ended up, my… – the wise man snapped to attention, but he barely managed to turn to go towards the door – tribal… chief.
Roman smelled him before even moving his gaze to the man accompanying Pearce. He had no idea who he was, he didn't remember his face if they had ever met before, but he had a smell that he didn't like. He didn't like the smell of him, he didn't like the way was staring at him, he didn't like the attitude and he sure as hell didn't like that he came around when he had business to do.
We don't like him.
- Reigns.
Pearce greeted, already adjusting glasses on his nose, his expression stressed as always. Roman didn't even look at him, focused on observing the new arrival who was already taking place at the table without having been invited. Pearce had that same attitude in the past, a couple of years ago, until Roman had taken it away from him in his own way and since then had never reappeared. He almost wanted to do the same with that new guy.
- What’s this idea Mr. Pearce?! It was supposed to be a private meeting for private business! Very important business! It's unacceptable! – complained the wise man, standing up against that lack of respect.
- Our new neighbors have informed the governor of activities across the border. It seemed right to him to invite Mr. Aldis as a delegate to clarify before signing anything. He’s in charge of that area now.
That's what he was. Another puppet, another well-dressed small dude convinced to have power or a chance against him, thought he was worth something, that he could stand face to face with Roman, thanks to the talks of those idiots to whom his cousins had left the field free. They were becoming arrogant, stupidly brave, throwing in his face that he had lost his hold in the north and that now there were others there. They hadn't gone too far yet, keeping everything legal, moving with what they could to make their voices heard, their new influence known, but Roman was fine with those games as long as they didn't go beyond the limit. And the limit was his patience running out.
- Since you no longer have jurisdiction there and the upcoming Bloodline activities threaten the entire area, restrictions must be established for the future. Real restrictions Mr. Reigns that I will take care of enforcing and making clear to you. Without it, nothing new will be authorized. – the new dude, Aldis, announced, openly defying his influence, head held high and the wise man behind him jumped.
They wanted to authorize him.
- How dare you- he screamed, but Roman simply raised a finger to silence him, the other hand gripping the chair.
That tanned, smug face of him would have looked perfect smashed onto his table or on the floor, better under his foot.
They wanted to play the big game, gamble when he already had more important business to take care of. It was almost hilarious, almost because that little game would be short-lived. He would let them do it, for a while, until Jey got what he deserved since everything that was happening was his fault. That was what happened if they left their side exposed, if they allowed a pack of strays to smell weakness, it was the price to pay for a crack and the reason Roman would have no more second thoughts.
Elders were right, he had to focus, do what he had to do and what he had been chosen for. He couldn't afford any more weaknesses or they would become ready and able to bite his throat.
- Go ahead – he conceded, collecting himself.
He would get rid of them one by one, blood of his blood or not. Without mercy.
***
She had sought comfort between now cold sheets smelling of him, curling up her legs for extra warmth, keeping her eyes tighter to ward off thoughts ready to fill her mind, but hadn't made it and her she-wolf had found Roman through the link. She had sensed him immediately, probably because he wasn't shielding anything believing that she was still asleep and Y/N had snuck out to join him in the dim light of his home office.
Mate is not here with us.
He was sitting on the couch with a solitary lamp, his face serious, fingers running through the seeds of his necklace. He was physically there, but his head was somewhere else as happened too often now. In the house he always kept the ulafala in the case, but Y/N didn't need to ask to know why he was there staring at it when he was supposed to be resting by her side, in their bed. Paul had told her as soon as he received the news, keeping to their agreement or perhaps already seeking help and Y/N had finally given a deadline to the anxiety that was weighing on her.
Fourteen days of peace before chaos, before completely crumbling what was left of the family, but in a few hours it would truly become inevitable. Or it was probably already late judging by Roman's face.
- Will you have to wear it? – she asked in a whisper, entering the room almost on tiptoe.
He hadn't told her anything about how the meeting would take place nor had he added anything about the fight, but she couldn't blame him. She had promised to stand by him, to defend him, yet she hadn't reacted well to his drastic change of plans and he didn't seem to really understand why she hadn't accepted it. What had happened was serious, but what could happened next would be even worse. Standing, she watched him keep his gaze fixed on the symbol of sacrifices, of his role and pains without turning to look at her and she too observed it, perhaps expecting a revelation.
Red for power, seeds for the rebirth of the dynasty.
She knew the value and pride behind that object, Roman had told Y/N all the stories about the ulafala, but no matter how hard she tried in her eyes it was only a necklace left weighing him down. It should have given him strength, conveyed his strength, represented the family future and instead he found himself fighting to keep it around his neck, to keep what he had gained after an argument born from unpleasant circumstances and degenerated due to old grudges.
- I earned it, represents me – she heard him reply, because in his mind it was the only thought.
She felt it, she knew it. He felt his efforts, sacrifices threatened and they were, but Y/N still felt like it wasn't Jey or Jimmy who was the real danger. At least not initially, now everything was a danger, even the elders who were supposed to accompany and advise him. Them all had fallen into a trap were building with their own hands and she couldn't resign herself to the sight of that disaster.
He's not just that for us.
- You don't need it – she reminded him, stopping looking at the ulafala to focus on him.
She saw him inspire with frustration, felt annoyance pass through him at the mere idea of continuing that conversation, his eyes far from hers.
- Go back to bed Y/N.
- Come with me then, is not mornin yet – she insisted, refusing to give up.
They had different opinions, different approaches, it had always been like that and perhaps it would never change, but they were on the same side. She didn't want to go back to their room if he wasn't there, didn't want to sleep if he wasn't there, she had been alone for too long to throw away moments, to wait two weeks to pass and then hope to go back to what they had before. She trusted Roman, she had never trusted anyone like him, but it wasn't going to end up with Jey and Y/N was honestly afraid of the aftermath he talked about. The threats were different, without blood ties and were just waiting the right moment to attack him, they wanted to get him out of the way and take everything, not just his role. No one can get rid of a weed without pulling out its roots. It had already happened with her family and now can happen again because he was focused just on what was in front of him. But she couldn't wait for the inevitable, it wasn't in her nature to do what she had to do or what he wanted, she existed to do what he couldn't.
She saw him stay silent, sign he had no intention of moving. So she stood in front of him, slipping the ulafala from his fingers without asking. That move finally forced him to raise his head, trying to understand what was happening, while she carefully placed it back in the case where he kept it and then went back to the couch. She listened him breathe heavily, scratch his dark beard with a grimace, and she sat down on his lap to take up the entire view.
- Ain't doing this talk once more – he stopped her soon, shaking his head.
- Not even if im the one asking? – she tried, seeing him immediately clench his jaw.
- Im doing it for you, for us, all! I told you and you said we were on the same side, now what?!
- I'm not taking anything back. I'm just worried it’s already too much – she confessed, not really knowing how else to explain the feeling in her.
Maybe she was giving in to the hormones, anxiety, or maybe was the fact she hadn't cared about others in years like she did now for him, but it was all happening so fast and whether Roman was ready to admit it or not, he was losing control and not facing things with a right mindset. Those outbursts of anger, the way he turned against everyone, judgments, drastic solutions, he was getting carried away by the desire for revenge and his justice. He kept saying he was doing it for them, for their future and instead seemed like a pretext to rush towards other problems. They didn't need acknowlegment, a border to build anything, they were fine, everything worked when it was just them, together. They had never been happier than in the time spent getting to know each other, digging their bond out of the dust and strengthening it. Life certainly couldn't be made up only of moments like those, dates and runs in the woods, but things could certainly have been different.
- Whatever it takes, doesn't matter, at all – he announced, almost exasperated by having to explain, by having to hear, his gaze so confident and Y/N stared at him for a moment without being able to say anything else.
Whatever it takes, he said.
The prospect of those sacrifices and ease which he said he wanted to face them would torment was heavy, but as she had sadly learned to do growing up, she hid all the worry in the back of her mind.
He didn't listen or maybe he didn't want to.
So Y/N simply moved closer, challenging his growing temper, to seek some warmth and his lips in an uncertain kiss. Saw him look at her almost suspiciously for her reaction, studying before reciprocate the kiss and sliding his hands down her thighs. Close, felt their breaths slowly mix in the silence of the dark house and that warmth she had found too late, growing from the most vulnerable part to her chest begging for comfort.
- You matter to me – she reminded him in a heated murmur, forehead resting on him, swollen lips touching, eyes burning for something that went beyond words.
She didn't really care about anything else. They could have been anywhere, surrounded by anyone or in utter desolation and Y/N would still have searched for those eyes. They were her firm point, he was her person. The thought of it terrified her, but she was done fighting and pretending. Roman was everything for her, she had nothing else anymore and she wanted, hoped... he would understand that for that exact reason they couldn't give in. They had to stay together, as a pack, mates.
She saw his gaze lingering on her lips, rising then to meet her eyes, two brown pools now dark in the dim light of the room. Felt his fingers gripping her hips, digging into soft flesh with possession, domineering and lust, marking her skin to claim and force her where she already was.
- Then you gonna be there with me, as you should – he demanded, resolute and despite fighting with everything her head suggested, Y/N nodded to please him again, letting Roman finally crash his mouth against her, satisfied.
They would find a way, they would find a solution even if it seemed difficult, they could do it together, but in that moment Y/N just needed to feel him close, just for her, far from all the noise and problems that awaited them out. They could give themselves that moment of rest, cherish it and Y/N rocked on him, moaning into his hot mouth as their bodies inexorably warmed up. His tongue was insatiable, ready to devour and intoxicate her with his good taste, thrown into a fight that she didn't even dare win. She preferred to let him have control in those moments, while her fingers made their way through dark soft locks, scratching the back of his strong neck to once again elicit that raw growl that vibrated through his broad chest into her bones. Felt his hands slide deeper, grasping her ass, encouraging Y/N to move her hips, pushing on his boner which was quickly answering to juices already wetting his pants.
She had stopped wearing panties when they went to bed a while ago and now was even grateful. She would bear nothing but the feeling of his hard body against her, pressure building like a blessed torture as he guided her growling for her to ride him shamelessly. Y/N had been trying to slow down and control herself for months now, so as not to give in to the heat of their bond, stay with feet on the ground and mind clear now that everything was falling apart, but it was an inexorable descent faster every time Roman touched her. She clung to him, feeling one of his hands travel up under her shirt to roughly grab one of her breasts, his calloused palm rubbing her sensitive nipple making her squirm. Her body had always been hyper-reactive to his attentions, but now she had fallen into a spiral with no exit. Y/N yearned him like a castaway for salvation and in moments like that the need mixed with something more, something that Y/N had never felt for anyone else and her she-wolf fought to make her whisper.
Tell him. We need him. Our mate. Tell him.
- My pussy wet as fuck hm? You need me, don't you? – he said voice like velvet, breaking their kiss and motioning for her to raise herself just enough to sink easily into her cunt – Ima fill you up good, babygirl… don't worry. Aint going nowhere and you'll be stuck with me.
The heat caused by his intrusion had already forced Y/N to open her mouth without being able to speak back, but the sudden thrust of his hips quickly accelerating to pound her almost made her cry. Hands tightened on his shoulders, eyes narrowing with each thrust and then opening as the wave of heat rose from her belly, sending her entire body into flames. Bouncing on his lap, she felt Roman moving his hand from her breast to give her a sharp slap on her ass, he did it one more time drawing a moan and then move up to her throat, to squeeze it just enough to bring tears to her eyes. Quickening the pace, in the frenzy of their moment, Y/N began to confuse the her own pounding heart with the slick sound of bodies slamming together. Her mind becomes more clouded by the second, ears filled with Roman's growls and threatening promises like dark spells ready to tear her soul and climax away. Confused between pleasure and desperation, she held him to her as he held her by the throat, twitches of her wet center uncontrolled amidst the panting of both of them that grew angrier. Room around flashed, throbbing like folds around his cock, impregnated with smell of their bodies, air charged and heavy, saturated with sweat and lust, with a mix of their smells.
They were racing with no intention of slowing down, as if the only goal was to consume, melt and crumble thanks to the other one. Y/N end came sudden and violent between a sloppy kiss and a particularly insistent push on that soft point on which Roman loved to rage without any mercy, fast, powerful, in a strangled moan that made her bare feet tingle, rising in an electric discharge up her legs to a sweaty body, chest begging and hot face. She closed her eyes, grabbing Roman's arm for her life, throwing her head back and then immediately hiding her face on his shoulder because he wasn't slowing down, he wasn't even giving her a moment to breath and she had already went over her limit. Heat kept growing and shake her, causing Y/N to lose all contact with her surroundings, ears ringing as if she had been underwater, body still crying out for more while Roman pounded furiously. Stunned, she stood abandoned in his arms, letting him have his way as he wanted, until something made her eyes widen, pushing her to gasp.
- R-Ro- she tried, because his hand had somehow left her throat, to grab Y/N by the back of her neck and tilt her head to the side.
He was holding her by her curls, beard scratching her hot neck, tongue ready to lick away sweat from her sweet pulsing weak spot to prepare it.
- Easy, stay still – his breath against her skin, so close, pushed Y/N to stiffen as much as his words – I'll be gentle, ssh…
Roman had never pushed, he had never held her like he was doing at that moment and feeling his teeth on her flesh sharper than usual, Y/N wriggled away.
- Don't - she tried again, feeling him tighten his grip, slowing down his thrusts, another hand moving to her wrist.
Why he was acting like that?
- Don't panic, its me – he reassured her, words heavy, attitude raising for her reaction and she planted her feet, her only free hand tapping on his bare chest.
It was him, Roman? Was it really him that one? Suddenly Y/N wasn't so sure and ignoring her wolf pleas, confused between the sense of discomfort and desire to give in, she pushed again to put some space between them.
- Y/N
- No, not like this! – she wailed and when finally managed to slide away from his legs, Y/N saw him jump up with a growl.
The crash of the coffee table froze her on the couch, eyes wide as she watched him pant in anger with clenched fists, body stiff. Still dirty for their moment, but with her mind completely clear now, she watched him stand there trying to regain control in a heavy silence she hadn't felt between them in a while. Roman rubbed his face, rolling his large shoulders, rocking his head and even though she was shaken, something in Y/N's chest tightened following the imperceptible direction of his gaze across the room, where she had put the ulafala away.
Did he want to mark her to prove a point? To have full control in order to not go through what had happened with his family? It was that?
Mate…
She moved her eyes to his hand, the one would have grabbed to calm him, to bring him back to there with her, the one she always found on herself for any reason even the stupidest, the one Y/N had learned to want, but a second too long passed and her hesitation was enough for Roman to quickly settle down, deciding to walk out of the room without a word to leave her again.
***
Uncle Afa was a man bent by age and illness now. When him and his dad stopped traveling around the country, he opened a gym in a recreation center on the eastern outskirts of the city where family had settled. He only trained their people at that time, city folks didn't want to set foot among savages, but his uncle ignored comments like his dad, dedicating himself heart and soul to the pack. Roman remembered going into that place the last time when he was sixteen, probably with the twins, to put on muscles that had grown bigger on their own later and fill his stomach always asking for more. The gym was different now from then, it was larger, it had incorporated buildings next door and it wasn't dusty at all. There was a sign, clean walls full of photos and articles, in the central one there was also him, right at the top.
They had organized the meeting there to have a neutral place, a place that represented everyone, a symbol of the pack values as the Elders demanded. Yet sitting at the head of the table in the gym hall, with the attention of many of his blood just beyond the threshold, Roman kept undaunted watching that perfectly framed photo at the top of the wall. He was there to talk, ready to prove his worth even if it was thanks to him that that picture had a wall to still be on, if that gym existed after his uncle's family had spent almost everything to pay the national healthcare system, if the next generations would have a place to go or eat like he did. He acknowledged his family efforts, but all of them would have been still in that dusty past of mediocrity if Roman had not taken everything into his own hands knowing he was more than what the world saw.
- Don't try, don’t think about it, I wouldn't do it if I was in your place - he heard Jimmy warn, blocking the wise man from trying to come forward to break the silence of their meeting that had already started a few minutes ago without a word.
Roman heard him clear his throat anyway, but payed no attention until Jey, the only one sitting besides him and Y/N, decided to cut it short.
- I don't have any piece of paper with me – he announced, rubbing his hands on his legs.
Roman eyed him silently, slowly tilting his head and Jey shifted in his seat, face so serious as he settled himself better to speak.
He could broaden his shoulders and give himself as much tone as he wanted, but he would never be on his level, he would never be like him and it was evident. That meeting was ridiculous, disrespectful even.
- It's just between us for me. Families have nothing to do with it – he explained, quickly nodding to whoever was outside the door – Same for Solo, he's my brother... and Y/N, she's family too. He disappears with you though and won't set foot in the packland again as long as I'm here. – he concluded, pointing to the wise man who didn't even manage to mutter his disappointment before Roman burst out laughing.
He’s crazy and dumb.
His hoarse laugh echoed throughout the entire empty hall and he didn't bother to hide it or hold back, simply running a hand over his beard to regain control only after a while. With the entire family's eyes on him, he knocked the table with his hand, eyeing his cousin once more.
Jey. The little soldier Jey. Roman had tried to keep him close, to teach him how things worked, because he loved him and still he didn’t get it. Not a single thing. Anything at all.
He persisted with his speeches even a few days before the moment which Roman would have removed him from the family, putting everything on the table to play the good pup. He wanted the title, he wanted to chase him away, but he was willing to vouch for his family anyway, for Solo who had kicked him and even Y/N… as if there was only one scenario out of all the ones imaginable in which Roman would have left her if not as a deadman or it would have allowed him to realize the ideas he had in his dumb head. He still thought the problem was him or the advice the wise man had given him to stay on top, he thought he could keep his hands clean, not involve anyone and he didn't understand that the situation they were in already, was the exact reason for which he would never have survived in Roman’s place.
- You're wasting my time – he said, giving him an annoyed smile.
Jey didn't reply, cashing in without even a nod. He was good at cashing in, Roman acknowledged it, it was his talent, perhaps his only one, but it still wouldn't have been enough against him. He might be determined and willing to fight him one more time, but it would be no use. Roman had no limits and had learned over the years and blows what was needed to kept the role he had.
- Whoever will standing at the end decides, tha’s the deal, the stipulation. There's nothing else to say – he established, tone suddenly deadly heavy.
There was nothing he wasn't willing to do or lose to keep what was his.
He saw Jey nod, imitate him and stand up and in the silence of the room leave the table to join him. Face to face to each other, he stared at his reflection in his cousin's dark eyes, the ulafala still around his neck as it was in the photo of him on the wall and as it always would be. He squeezed Jey forearm and allowed that even if the bond between them no longer existed, their wolves shared a final breath.
Blood of my blood. Brother. Traitor.
When the air left his lungs again to fill them with the stale smell of the center, Roman let go without hesitation, Jey imitating him in a perfect mirror. However, was he who turned his back on his cousin this time to go away first, ignoring the wise man's sad look and those of the rest of the family outside waiting. Y/N who had been on the sidelines the entire time, unexpectedly joined him, her back straight and face betraying nothing as she took her place next to him. Roman didn't comment, there was nothing to say.
Two weeks and he would have control again. Only two weeks before moving on.

June,  2018
“Alright! Let’s have some decorum, I don’t want to have a long meeting,” the COO of WWE said as the room got quiet. “First things first, I would like to introduce our production intern for the next few months. She did a month over on Raw, but I feel we need her here. Shantell, can you stand up please?” Paul asked as I stood and waved.
“Damn she fine,” I heard someone whisper as I shook my head wanting the earth to open up and swallow me whole.
“Hey! None of that funny business, she is here to do a job and if I hear ya’ll been giving her a hard time you will deal with me,” Paul said firmly.
“Paul, you just had to let another diva in here throwin' her ass around trying to catch a big fish to marry, and take all a dude’s money,” Brock said as I frowned at him.
“Excuse me, I work hard, and I make my own way, I don’t need a man to do it for me. Also, I’m not a diva, I am a production student,” I said as Brock rolled his eyes at me.
“You sure you can handle a big job like that?” he asked, almost taunting me.  “I’m damn good at what I do, so how bout you do your job and let me do mine,” I said as the room got quiet as it seemed all eyes were on Brock and I.
“Oh, Paul you hired one with a little spunk. I like it, she won’t let these boys run her over,” he said smirking at me almost proud like.
“He sure did, and let’s be clear Mr. Lesnar, I can assure you I ain’t looking to catch you or anybody else around here.  Plus, you ain’t my type, I like men who work more than 6 days a year and actually have a set of balls,” I said smiling innocently at him as I heard the snickers.
“Well, shit she told his ass,” I heard someone whisper as Brock smiled at me and didn’t say another word. Great I just went off on one of the headlining guys in the company. I’m so fuckin’ screwed.
Paul stood seemingly still in shock as he covered his mouth, I saw him hiding his smile, and I exhaled maybe I was safe.
“Damn, um, Shantell thank you, you may be excused.  I need to go over some more things before the show. Don’t go too far Tevin will be out in a few minutes to show you around,” he said as I made my way into the hall.
I didn’t notice the huge figure following me into the hall. “I can tell me and you gon’ get along good,” he said as I looked at him in shock. Before me stood WWE Superstar Roman Reigns.
“I’m sorry that was so unprofessional,” I said as he laughed extending his hand. “No, it wasn’t that shit was awesome, I’m Joe by the way, and I’m very pleased to meet you,” he said smiling at me. That was it, the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Three Weeks Later
Smackdown Philadelphia, PA
Philadelphia Arena
“So, are you coming out with us tonight? I want you to finally meet my cousins.  Well technically nephews but since we were so close in age, we grew up as cousins.  It made things less awkward for us when we were growing up,” Joe said as I shook my head at him.
“Well, I would love to meet them and hang out, but I know after this I’m going to be tired. Tevin is out with the flu and I’m solo tonight, Paul thinks I can run the show alone,” I said nervously.
“You will do great; I’ve seen you tell Tevin how to get better shots and quality angles. You’re ready, stop second-guessing yourself,” Joe said confidently as I tried to relax. “Thanks for encouraging and pushing me,” I said giving him a small smile.
“Always, and because I always do you still gon’ ride wit me tonight and I’ll introduce Jimmy and Jey to you before I drop you off at the hotel,” he said as I waved him off.
“You ain’t got to give me a ride back, go enjoy your family. I can catch Nattie and T.J. back,” I said, trying to give him an out.
“Not on your life, your mama called me the other day informing me of the places she would hide my body if something happened to you,” he snickered as I rolled my eyes.
“See you welcomed that beast when you said you would protect me with your life when she met you. She was so gutted when I told her we were just friends and nothing was going on,” I said as he kissed my cheek.
“Hey, I meant that, and I don’t even know why but I feel just really close to you, and I would protect you with my all,” Joe said honestly as I gave him a hug. “Thanks bear, I would do the same,” I whispered as he held me tight.
“Show them you can run this show, and I promise that job offer will be waiting when you graduate,” he whispered before letting me go. “I got ya,” I reassured him as he went to get ready for the show, I saw him stop to talk to his cousins as I turned around to check my equipment.
Jey’s POV
“Alright, ya’ll looking good! It’s good to have ya’ll back!” Joe said walking up, hugging Jimmy and me. It felt great to be back, but it was also scary. “It’s good to be back Uce,” I said smiling at his enthusiasm in us being back.
We had been sent home some months ago due to my brother Jimmy getting into trouble for a couple of DUIs he had gotten, and my upcoming divorce. We both had so much going on Paul gave us some time off to try to get ourselves together.
I looked over stealing a glance at the woman Big Uce was hugging a few minutes ago. I couldn’t really see her, but her voice sounded beautiful.  “Damn,” I whispered as she got up to hug Paul and I finally saw her face, she was truly beautiful.
“Aye, leave her be. She ain’t one of them one night stand types. That’s a lady,” Joe said pointing at her as she laughed at something Paul had said.
“Aye, you know I don’t believe in cheatin’. Plus I ain’t trying to hook up with nobody, I’m done with relationships. I was just admiring her, I mean I ain’t blind Uce.” I said as Jimmy rolled his eyes.
“I know you ain’t letting Candy ruin your thoughts on love and relationships,” Trin said, coming up to us as Jimmy hugged her.
“Hey, I’m just sayin’ I wanna chill for a minute. I just ain’t trusting nobody right now. I want all this shit with Candy to be over so I can get on wit my life,” I said as Trin hugged me.
“It’s ok Bro, love will come when you’re ready,” Trin said as I nodded.
“I think when you least expect it someone is gon’ knock yo ass for a loop and it’s over,” Jimmy said laughing.
“I have been home trying to get things in order, everything is moving so slowly due to Candy dragging her feet,” I said wanting nothing more than to change the damn subject. I would never fall in love again and that was all to it.
Jimmy’s POV
“Shantell, I want you to meet my cousins Jimmy, Jey, and this is Jimmy’s wife Trin.  Ya’ll this is Shantell,” Joe said as she smiled at us standing up. “Hey, I’ve heard a lot about you guys,” she said extending her hand as Trin shook her head at Shantell.
“Girl, as much as Joe been talking about you, your family,” Trin said hugging her as she laughed returning the gesture. “A’ight let me get in here, and give my new sister some love,” I said joining in on their hug as Shantell and Trin laughed. I looked over at my brother and his somber mood made me a little sad as he came over to join in as well.
“Alright, she got a show to get ready for,” Joe said breaking up the moment as I saw the relief in my brother’s face. He seemed curious about Shantell but was standoffish.
“I got to go get ready ya’ll,” Jey said quickly stalking off as his phone rang. “How much you wanna bet it’s her,” Trin said rolling her eyes. “I hope not, she needs to stop playing games like she wants my brother. I heard she done moved that guy in,” I said as Joe seemed to be in deep thought looking in the direction Jey had gone in.
“I hope he’s ok,” Shantell said looking worried as I smiled at her. “Yea, he’s going to be fine. Just got to take it one day at a time,” Joe said as we talked for a few more minutes before leaving Shantell alone to allow her to get ready for her first solo show.
Jey’s POV
“Camera nine pan out on Joe, I need a closeup of his face as Brock is leaving,” Shantell said. She seemed to be in her zone and was having fun and it made me smile.
“Stu, Uso’s are coming your way in about twenty seconds,” she said as she looked up and smiled at me. God, she is so beautiful, get yourself together Jey.
“Good luck ya’ll! Kill it out there,” Shantell said, as I nodded my head at her.  Jimmy gave her a thumbs up as we could hear the crowd chanting for us. It was go time after six months away, and now it was time to get back to work.
“Stu they are coming in hot, get ready to run with them,” she said with a smile as our music hit and the crowd exploded.
The feeling I get being in front of a crowd doing what I love is unmatched. The crowd was hot, as we stood tall to end the show. I was happy to be back but was I really ready to be back on the road, I guess only time will tell.
“That’s what I’m talking about! Welcome back!” Joe shouted when we walked back through the curtain back to Gorilla to a crowd of our co-workers welcoming us back.
“The shots looked great Shantell,” Paul said as he pulled Shantell aside. “Thank you I was so nervous,” she said taking a sip of her water. “You are on your way if you keep this up,” he said encouraging her as she gave him a hug.
“Thanks, boss, let me help the crew pack up,” she said walking off.  Yea, I had to remain neutral and keep my guard up, she was dangerous for me.

Shantell’s POV
“Oh, wow this place is huge,” I said looking around kinda feeling outta place.
“It’s fire, but we didn’t need all this Uce,” Jey said putting his bag down, looking at the hot tub and pool.
Hey, we needed a break and yes, I mean everyone. A lot has been going on so just relax and enjoy,” Joe said as Trin smiled at him in gratitude.
“It’s really beautiful, I mean the next three days should be amazing. I for one am ready to pick my room and take a nap,” Trin said as Jimmy grabbed their bags and they headed upstairs.
“I can go grocery shopping, I mean you did all this so the least I can do is get food,” I said trying to carry my weight.
“Nope, you’re a guest. Just take my card and get what we need, Shantell,” Joe said giving me his card as I saw Jey looking at me with curious eyes.
“I can go wit you,” he said as I looked at him in shock. “Well, thanks I would love the company,” I said nervously as he got the truck keys from Joe.
“We’ll be back ya’ll, after you beautiful,” Jey said opening the door for me as I blushed heading to the truck. Hold it together Shantell he is married I had to repeat to myself as I hoped in the passenger seat.
“Alright, I put in the GPS so we should be good,” I said as he backed out of the driveway.
“Good, cause I ain’t got a clue where the fuck we are,” he said casually as I snickered. The drive was peaceful with small talk here and there until he asked a question that through me for a loop.
“So, are you and Big Uce a thing?” he asked, never skipping a beat. “What you mean a thing?  Like are we dating?” I asked as he nodded at me. “No, we aren’t a thing, Jey. He’s a good friend who has looked out for me and before you ask no I don’t have a boyfriend,” I said as he seemed to like my answer.
“I’m sorry I was all in your business, I just wondered because ya’ll really seem close,” Jey whispered as his phone went off and I saw the change in his demeanor.
“Hello,” he said putting his phone on speaker sitting it down on the console as he continued to drive.
“Oh, so you finally picked up huh,” a female’s voice said as I pulled out my phone trying to tune them out, but it wasn’t happening.
“I told you I was going out of town with my family for a few days,” Jey said taking a deep breath.
“Oh, well who is the bitch that’s with ya’ll. A fan posted pictures on Twitter of some woman walking with ya’ll at the airport. I know she’s either Joe’s or your flavor of the month so who is she?” She demanded, as my eyes raised at Jey as silently pleaded with me to not say anything.
“That’s Shantell and she’s nobody’s flavor of the month. She’s a friend. Look did you sign the papers?” Jey asked as we pulled into the market.
“No, I haven’t, I told you I’m not letting you go without a fight,” she said as I rolled my eyes. So, this was the infamous Candy that had cheated on Jey, stupid bitch.
“Aye, you cheated not me. You don’t think I get lonely on the road; I do but I made a choice to be faithful to you, my wife. What did you do? You fucked someone else and, in our home, no less,” Jey said his voice rising slightly as I reached over to touch his knee trying to calm him down.
As his eyes met mine, it seemed to calm him down as I saw him take a few breaths rubbing his hand over his face. Lord, she had this poor man stressed the fuck out.
“Look I’m on vacation, leave me in peace and sign the fucking papers,” Jey said hanging up.
Silence filled the car as he threw his phone in anger as a text alert went off. “Look just ignore it, if you keep entertaining her bullshit, she’s just going to keep stressing you out. If she wants to drag it out let your lawyers handle it,” I said reaching down and grabbing his phone.
Jey’s POV “That’s easier said than done Shantell,” I said as my phone rang again and Shantell hit ignore. “Talk to her when you’re ready, if you work it out cool, if not that’s your right. She betrayed you and you deserve time to process it. Stop giving her power,” Shantell said as I stared at her truly unsure of what to say or do.
It was almost like Shantell could sense my uneasiness. “Jey, you ain’t gotta say anything, as far as I’m concerned, the call never happened, and I didn’t hear a thing. What about you?” she asked as I smiled at her, taking my phone back and began texting my mom as she looked at me worried.
“Don’t worry I ain’t texting her. I texted my mom to let her know to call Jimmy if she needed me. I’m turning this off for the next few days,” I said waving my phone as she smiled at me in relief.  “Good you deserve a break from the craziness,” Shantell said leaning over and giving me a hug.
“You are just a really chill person ain’t you?” I asked pulling away with a smirk. “Yea, I guess I am. I try to see the good in things,” Shantell said as we got out of the truck and made our way in the store to grab some groceries.

Jey’s POV
The weekend with Shantell and the fam was awesome. I really got a chance to unwind and just enjoy being in the moment. I hated we had to leave tomorrow, but I finally turned my phone back on, and in came the calls.
I sat on the bed checking my messages, seeing I had a message from my lawyer I took a deep breath almost dreading the voice message.
“Mr. Fatu I’ve been trying to reach you, but your mom told me to leave a voice message. Your wife Candy is now trying to sue for spousal support to the tune of 20,000 a month and has said you have also committed adultery.”
“The allegations are bogus I know, but now investigations into the matter are going to be done. Just be patient with me. We are still looking good, I just wanted to give you an update on the newest happenings. Have a good weekend,” he said as I ended the voicemail call.
I felt like I was going insane, this woman actually is trying to break me. I felt my eyes burning and I didn’t want to shed any more tears but here they were coming like a river.
Shantell’s POV
“I’m gon’ check on Jey, then head to bed,” I said as Joe smiled at me. “So, you like him huh? I know ya’ll been hitting it off these last few weeks, but something’ done changed this weekend,” Joe said pointing at me with a sly smile as I blushed. “Joe we are friends, I don’t do married men. You know that,” I said as he nodded in understanding.
“I think ya’ll would be great for each other,” Joe said as I rolled my eyes.  “I ain’t listening to this. Goodnight matchmaker,” I said giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek before I went upstairs to check on Jey.
His door was open and I saw him still, almost in a trance. “You ok Jey,” I asked as my voice seemed to startle him.  He shook his head no as I saw the desperation in his eyes.
“Hey, what happened?” I asked softly, going to sit beside him on the bed, giving him a comforting hug.
“I can’t take much more of this shit, I’m just tired,” he whispered as I held him tighter “It’s ok Josh, lean on me,” I said as he held me tighter.
I didn’t know him that well, but in the short time I’ve known him I wanted to protect him.

Solo’s POV
“Look, I need you to stay in the car Sofia, I don’t need you and Candy fighting again,” I said giving her a stern look. “Don’t look at me like that, it wasn’t even a fight. She ran up, so she got smacked up, “she said not caring about keeping the peace at the moment.
“Well, you stay here Mayweather,” I said jokingly as she rolled her eyes at me. “You got ten minutes and I’m coming in swinging,” Sofia said as I leaned over and gave her a chaste kiss on the lips.
“I only need about five, Jey put the stuff I needed to get right by the door,” I said as I got out and made my way to the door.
“Damn! I don’t wanna go in here,” I muttered ringing the doorbell. As the door opened, I was shocked by a man answering the door.
“Who the hell are you?” he asked sizing me up. “Uh, this is my brother’s house, I need to be askin’ yo ass that question,” I said as Candy ran to the door.
“Uh, Sefa, I didn’t expect you until tomorrow,” Candy said nervously as I smirked at her. “Yeah, I can tell you didn’t, but I don’t need but a few minutes of your time,” I said pushing my way in heading towards Jey’s office.
“Just go in the other room babe,” I heard Candy say as the dude growled but walked away. I quickly opened his office with my key, grabbed the two boxes, and locked the door back.
Making my way back down the hall, the closer I got to the front door I heard a commotion. “Shit, Sofia,” I muttered speeding up.
“What the fuck you takin’ pictures for?” Candy screamed as Sofia smirked at her. “Oh, so I can send them to Jey so he can give them to his lawyer!" Sofia said loud and proud standing in front of our car.
I walked around Candy making my way back to Sofia.“Let’s go, babe, I got the boxes,” I said as she continued to stare down Candy.
“You are just so petty. Ima get a protective order against you bitch,” Candy said as Sofia scoffed in her direction.
“I ain’t scared bitch do what you want to do. But I’m warning you if you don’t get that bum outta my brother’s house Ima reach out and touch dat ass again,” Sofia said as stalking towards Candy.
Acting fast I scooped her carrying her to the passenger side of the car, putting her inside. “Look, gone in the house before I let her go, you know you ain’t bout that life,” I said as Candy scurried fast as hell inside.
“Babe, you gotta calm down, you can’t be doing that. You got too much to lose,” I whispered to her as screamed in frustration. “Babe, look what she’s done to that house. She has tainted every memory we all have shared in that house, we got engaged here,” she said wiping her tears, pointing at Jey’s condo and I couldn’t help but agree.
The house looked like it didn’t even belong in this subdivision, it truly looked a mess.
“Let’s get outta here, I know you got to study for your nursing exam and that should be our main focus right now,” I said wiping her tears as she nodded in agreement. Candy had us all on edge and I truly would be glad when this was all over.

Shantell’s POV
I wanna hold the hand inside you
I wanna take the breath that's true
I don’t know how long we talked but Jey had finally calmed down enough to relax and lay down on top of his bed. “I think I’ve run my mouth enough, so I’m going to let you sleep,” I said as he looked up at me and patted the spot beside him.
I look to you and I see nothing
I look to you to see the truth
“Nah, you ain’t gotta leave. Come lay wit me,” he said softly, his eyes held a longing I wished I could cure. This was dangerous but I couldn’t leave him. Sighing, I climbed under the covers laying comfortably beside him.
“I knew you was cold earlier,” he said frowning at me as I shrugged my shoulders. “I’m fine stop fussing,” I said smiling, looking up at the ceiling, getting comfy on his pillow as our heads slightly touched.
Fade into you
Strange, you never knew
I think it's strange you never knew
“Did you enjoy this weekend?” he asked as I smiled at him. “Yeah, I had fun. How about you?” I asked, seeing his smile not quite reaching his eyes. Shrugging his shoulders he looked over at me as my breath caught in my throat. He was so handsome.
“Yeah, I suppose, I mean a certain girl had me spilling my guts this weekend, and made me have fun,” he said as I sat up slightly. “What you tryin’ to say, I’m bossy?” I asked as he smirked at me.
A stranger's light comes on slowly
A stranger's heart without a home
“Nothin’ I'm just sayin' I had fun wit you this weekend even though I didn’t want to,” he said as I looked at him strangely.  “So, you wanted to have a terrible time this weekend?” I asked unsure of what he was trying to say.
” Ok, that came out wrong as fuck. What I meant is that I like talkin’ to you, and I don’t like really talkin' to nobody but my brothers. So, I guess I could say you broke down a fuckin’ huge wall,” he said pointing at me as I smiled at him.
You put your hands into your head
And then its smiles cover your heart
“Oh, shit, I feel special now,” I said touchin’ my chest in dramatic fashion with a small smile as he laughed softly mocking my antics.
“You are very special Shantell,” he whispered as I looked at him seeing nothing but the truth in his eyes. “Hey, so are you, and don’t ever forget that,” I said now seeing him deep in thought, almost unsure if what I had said was true.
“Do you feel comfortable enough to stay wit me tonight,” he asked as I stared into his eyes. “Yeah, I’m good. I trust you;” I said as he smiled at me with that boyish sly smile that was growing on me.
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, I turned to him to make sure he was ok. “Josh, are you good?” I asked softly glancing over at him and couldn’t help but smile, he was asleep.
I think it's strange you never knew
“Good night, Joshua,” I whispered softly as I gently kissed his forehead before I turned the opposite way and fell asleep myself.
Fade into you
Strange you never knew
Fade into you
I think it's strange you never knew

𝑺𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒔; Even tho it’s not official yet the tribal chief likes to make it be known about his intentions with you and his desire for you to let him into your heart even though hard times
𝓦𝓪𝓻𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰; tribal chef roman, roman is a bit mean, slight cursing, mental abuse, manipulation
Tumblr media
.
Every since I returned back to wrestling after I tore my ACL after having my triple threat match with charlotte flair I thought that it was the end of my career and that I would have to start looking back for a regular job.
That was until Joseph himself had helped me since I was there for him back when he was diagnosed with his cancer and back when he was having his ups and down in the wwe, he liked to think it if he basically owed me his life now but I just thought of it of me supporting my friends while they going through a very rough time
He ofcoursed helped me after my whole career threatening injury while joining back the wwe and playing a new character that he was bragging me to about on the phone that he was talking to triple H about
I was happy for him I really was he was finally getting the spotlight he deserved and was playing a character that represented his family’s legacy and what not but the downside of that was that he kept complaining about his mother constantly nagging him in the ear about having kids and him putting his all into a fake personality of himself on tv rather than a real person outside of that
What can I say Joe’s in his 30s with no kids yet if my son was like this I would be mad too
But anyways today’s marks the day I step back into wwe after a year or two of my Injury. I was scheduled to mark my returnment but coming out and attacking Iyo sky while she was out so the CTRL on the stage talking about her championship after winning it on money in the bank showcasing me turning into a Heel
While in the backstage in my dressing room getting ready, Selina had walked in dressed in her LWO gear as she giggled seeing me
“I thought it would be ages until I saw my bestie Westie again” she squealed out running up and embracing me into a very tight hug
Before my injury me and Selina were inseparable on smack down but of course after weren’t but I still kept in touch with her whenever and asked about so and so things going on at smack down but I didn’t tell her about my return today since I wanted to see her reaction when she saw me
“Surprise I’m in the flesh” I mumbled out in Selina forearms as she still wouldn’t let go
“We got so much to catch up about, the roaster has been hell without you” She sighed out removing her arms from around my neck and plunging down on the sofa sighing out loud
“The woman’s division has been in absolute crisis, triple h seems like he’s too busy booking the men that he totally forgot about the woman-”
She sighed out pausing a bit
“But now that your here you can talk to that fine friend of yours to speak to h about the woman’s division” she finished off lightly clapping her hands
I scoffed
“You mean roman..?” I asked out
She nodded
“Yeah that guy..I mean just look at him he’s playing the character he asked to be and whatever he told h to do about the men’s division and fixing smack down live he did it and now look” She said out moving her hands out to try to showcase what she meant
“And?” I asked back totally confused by where she’s going with this
“I mean, maybe you could talk to roman and see if he can pull a few strings and restore back the woman’s division” she dismayed sighing out loud again
“And what makes you think me going to Roman and telling him this will make him want to do it, it took him 5 and a half years to be respected by this company and get the privilege he gets now-”I argued back but she interrupted me getting up while moving all over the place
“C’monn Sage your the only girl he speaks to in wwe other than his cousins wife plus it so obviously before you got your injury all you guys used to do backage was give each other the love sick dog eyes and follow around each other until your segments” she boasted on moving around the room waving her hands in the air
I scoffed again cause no we did not
“No we didn’t, we were just being friends” I said as she gave me that “girl bye” look with her eyebrows
Joesph is an attractive man I’ll give him that but we both saw each other only as friends even tho sometimes he things he did were questionable at time we still are friends and beside it’s obvious he’s too busy focusing on his career right now to even think about dating someone right now
Right then the walkie talkie in our dressing room beeped signaling someone was trying to connect to our station to communicate with us
I grabbed it twisting the operator and pressing down the side speaking into it
“Sage here” I commented
“Iyo is closing in on her speech it’s about to be time for your main entrance” the person on the other end speaked
“Okay I’m coming” I responded back before turning back off the operator
I looked over at Selina seeing that she she laid back down on the sofa on her phone
“We’ll continue about this when I get back..but if I buck into him in the halls I’ll see what I can tell him” I said tighting my boots
“Good” she yawned out before I left the room making my way to the downstairs of the backstage since I was set to come out in the crowd
I was pretty nervous but I quickly took some deep breath and met my manager in the opening of the arena that lead tot he crowd and blended in throwing my hoodie off my head to lessen there suspicion and made my way to the front area
I sat down next to some kid and his family and he started screaming away about how he can’t wait to see the bloodline come out and Roman reigns Superman punch Sami and Kevin, heck he even tried to demonstrate it on his older brother I think that was sitting next to him
“Iyo I just wanna say-” that’s my cue
Before bayley to continue I quickly took off my hoodie and jumped over the barricade, sliding into the ring as the crowd got out there seats and screamed and jumped in hype
Bayley slowly turned around and that’s when I hit her with a super kick to her throat and she dropped down in the ring. Iyo tried to kick me with one of her kicks but I dodged it giving her a drop kick as they both rolled out the ring but left the women’s championship in there
I grabbed it holding it over my head with a smirk on my face as I watched the reactions all around me seeing my return
Iyo and bayley helded onto each other breathing heavily as I laughed out throwing Iyo’s championship at her on the floor as she picked it up backing up into backstage with bayley staring me down
After they had disappeared into the backstage it was my turn to leave, I slided out the ring making my way backstage as everyone started chanting and screaming my name pushing there hands out anxiously for me to touch it
I smiled it feels good to be back
Once I reached backstage I began making my way back to my dressing room but while making my way I was passing by Greyson Waller as he stopped me
“Oi sage!”he greeted out surprised by my arrival
I smiled back
“Greyson, Hey how long has it been” I asked out as he only chuckled at this
“A few decades” He joked out in which I had laughed at
“So how have you been doing?” He asked
“Good, getting a bit of Deja vu” I answered back
“Awesome mate, I’m a bit free later so would you like to maybe continue this over lunch” he asked out
“Is that a date” I giggled out as his face turned a bit red at this
“N-no just some lunch between two friends..that’s if you are free of course” He stuttered a bit
I giggled at this
As I was about to give him his answer I felt a tug my shoulders and then someone’s wrapped there arms around my shoulder, I looked over my shoulder seeing that it was just jimmy uso
“There you are, I was just looking for you” he exclaimed out
Greyson looked over at me waiting for my answer, jimmy noticed this and butted in
“Oh and about that lunch date sorry man she busy at the moment, she promised me we’d go out together today”jimmy said shaking his head while giving Greyson a look
“Well that’s alright, how about tomorrow since it’s maybe Sunday or maybe even-” he tried to finish but jimmy started backing us both up
“We gotta go” Jimmy said
I sighed out
“Greyson don’t worry we can go Monday” I gave him and apologetic smile
“Alright see you mate” He waved off
I nodded as jimmy turned us both around while walking back over to I’m guessing his dressing room
“Really” I sighed out rubbing my hands over my face
“Did you really have to do that to him?”
He gave me a defensive look
“What?, you did say you owed me a day for me and uce and I only just came to make sure of it” He said
I only shaked my head
“You know what you were doing turning down poor Greyson back there”
“He’ll be fine, you got a man either way you shouldn’t even be accepting offers from strangers” He answered back in which I rolled my eyes at this
“No I do not have a man and No Greyson isn’t a stranger you guys all knew how close we were on NXT” I argued back
He only huffed out
“Where are your even taking me anyways” I asked now seeing we weren’t going into the direction of the his or my dressing room
“the big dawg been looking for you so I told him I was gonna bring you to him” He answered my question
“For?” I asked
“He can’t speak to you now?” jimmy said dramatically giving me a sassy look
I laughed at this
“I never said” I chuckled out
Jimmy only chucked at this and changed up the subject up until we reached Roman’s personal dressing room that he only shared with solo the uso’s and Paul whom was always with him
“Lemme guess Paul’s in there with him” I annoyingly asked since the answer would probably be a yes
Jimmy nodded his head at this
He then knocked on the door warning a come in from Paul
He pushed in the door opening it for me as I walked in facing solo, roman and Paul whom where all sitting with the expectation of Paul standing right by roman per usual
“You wanted to see me” I asked out in a huff sitting next to him on the sofa
He furrowed his eyebrows at this
“I can’t look for you now” He asked out slightly rolling his tongue across his upper teeth
“You can but sending a person like jimmy to..”
“Terrible idea” I sighed
“Woah woah in my defense you talking to a person like Greyson Waller, talking bout some date and you expect me not to say sum” He argued out while sitting down on the other sofa next to solo
“Yeah but you said it as if I wasn’t interested in the guy”
This turned everyone’s heads
“Your interested in him?” Both jimmy and roman half yelled out giving each other a look before roman started speaking
“Your actually interested in the guy” He asked out in disbelief
“A little it’s nothing that’s not worth trying so why not” I responded back
He only stared at me
“What?” I asked a bit confused
“Nothing” He replied back looking away
The atmosphere went quiet
“You guys are so weird” I said frustrated
“Half of the male wrestlers steer clear of me as if I’m some kind of infestation and when one of them don’t do that you guys scared him off” I ranted out looking around at everyone to see there reactions
Roman didn’t even look at me but back at the tv playing the wrestling going on out there and Paul just looked down at the championship and solo and jimmy just looked at each other
“He wasn’t good enough for you anyways” Jimmy said shrugging shoulders off at me
“And what makes you think you know what’s good enough for me” I challenged
Jimmy went silent at this
“so you agreed to it?”Roman finally spoke up
I just shaked my head to his question
“No thanks to this genius right here but I did tell him I’m free Monday maybe” I said slightly unsure of my answer
He went silent again
I just got up and was about to storm out when roman slightly grabbed my arms
“I’ll meet you by the parking lot since my segment is over now and I can go home, lemme drop you” he reasoned
I only just started back at him until I sighed out nodding my head and then leaving the room

Roman stayed quiet as he waiting patiently for sage to leave away from his dressing room
he waited for a few minute before turn in around to Paul whom was behind him
“I want you to have a talk with that Greyson guy and tell him I don’t appreciate him chatting it up with my friend as if he even has a chance with her” he finished off as Paul nodded leaving the room
Roman looked over at jimmy and solo as jimmy just gave him a weak smile and solo gave him that look
“just tell her uce” jimmy said
“tell her what” roman argued
“just stop this chase of cat and mouse and tell her how you feel, you know she feels the same way” jimmy said moving his hands around
Roman stayed quiet listening to jimmy’s little rant
“you guys both like each other be neither of y’all man enough to say it, I get y’all not ready and wanna focus on y’all’s careers but if that’s the case that mean she free to date Greyson” jimmy said
Roman looked deep in thought
“Just give it a try while you in the car with her, ask her out on a date and see how it is” solo joined in
Roman looked over back at solo rubbing his fingers slightly over his beard slowly nodding his head
“And if she says she doesn’t see me as that” roman asked
“Uce just get up outta here and do it mane” jimmy said shaking his head in disbelief
“This nigga mane” he said to solo and they both laughed out
Roman got up leaving the dressing room heading to the parking lot

I leaned on the wall near the door waiting for Joseph to come already
“What’s taking this man so long”I mumbled out impatiently
It took the next 5 minutes for him to push threw the exit door, I pushed my self off the wall standing next to him
“Took you long enough” I rolled my eyes
“Something came up” he answered leading the way to his car
“Let me guess you ordered jimmy to stop bossing around Paul cause he feels a way about that” I joked out he only chuckled at this
“Jimmy knows better, only time he’s in charge is when both Paul and solo isn’t there” He answered
I side eyed him cause he thought he was funny with this comment
“Stop playing with him Joe”I rolled my eyes at him
“What?” He asked out
“You know what you tryna say too” I chuckled
As he only laughed opening his car door for me and I stepped in his car sitting in the passenger seat as he sat in the drivers seat and started the car, driving out the wwe parking lot
I yawned
“For someone so mad about her ruined date plans she sure seems a bit tired” Joe joked out
“In my defense arguing with you guys can tire anyone out” I said stretching slightly in the car seat
“So you still going?” Joe asked
“Yeah..I mean I don’t have anything else planned this week rather than my everyday schedule” I answered back
“Oh, Was just asking if your you know free tomorrow” Joe asked
I shrugged
“Not sure got a date with jimmy and trin” I said looking to the side out the window
“Cancel it we’re going somewhere nice” Joe then said making me nearly whiplash my neck to look over at him
Was he being serious right now
“Joe-” I was getting ready to argue back
“No buts” he said
I only huffed
“fine” I grumbles out
