(There are an increasing number of users who I have not been able to tag, so if you don’t see your name listed I was unfortunately unable to tag you!)
I know it’s been taking longer between updates (mostly bc I’ve been trying to increase the quality of each one), so if you’re not interested in being tagged anymore then please free to let me know and I will remove you from the list. Taglist is closed for now, sorry (but may reopen again if a lot of people choose to be removed)!
Otherwise, thank you so so much for sticking with me and leaving the nicest comments, asks, reactions, and tags. You’re all so incredible and I am so fortunate to be here with you all. 💕
It's been a while since I posted something! But I couldn't help it, it's the end of May and we're going to say goodbye to Marmay in no-time! SO! There's this splendid artist @glass-noodle that's making a wonderful AU on Connor!Mermaid so... yeah! I HAD TO DRAW IT!!!
So, I changed the pictures a little. They look better now.
Still my Hank the Librarian AU.
Suppose he was tired of working in the police even before the revolution and decided to quit, retrained and became a librarian. He knows about the events of the revolution only from Fowler's stories and from the news on TV.
By this time it is already spring of 2039, Hank has healed a little, although he is still tormented by nightmares and drinks from time to time but not as often as before. He sometimes still helps Fowler at the DPD, advising newcomers or when some difficult cases come across and the advice of an experienced cop is needed, but overall Hank is almost happy with his life, and then Connor comes to the library.
(this could be a human AU too with a similar plot, in which Connor is either a student studying criminology, or a journalist, or someone else who just loves to read).
Why does Connor, if he is an android, need a library, if he is an android and can find any information in a matter of seconds in his head? I think that after the revolution he now more or less has his own life, but sometimes he likes to go to such places, and not all books can be found on the Internet. He likes to walk among the shelves and compare editions of books that are in the library with those that he finds on the Internet. He often comes to the library late in the evening, at closing time, when there are not so many people and he can sit with a book in his corner for several hours, enjoying the silence, broken only by the rustling of the pages.
And then he notices Hank. And he falls in love at first sight, realizing that this man is the one he had all chances to work during the revolution, even when he was a Cyberlife android, but this man had quit just a few months before it began.
He studies all the available information about Hank, talks with him in the library, and realizes that he was not mistaken in his choice: Hank is a wonderful person. That’s why Connor regrets that they didn’t meet earlier, but he doesn’t get upset and, a couple of days after they met, he invites Hank on a date.
{{I love how two of my favorite ships in the last 7 years involve a curmudgeonly, fallen-from-his-prime drunk and the twink-ish dude struggling with autonomy that he begrudgingly interacts with, and over to course of their forced proximity, they come to deeply care about one another}}
It’s the HankCon Bingo Masterlist for all my nine prompt fics! 😀 WHEEEE!
First up, filling the prompts False Memories and Touch Starved, I give you:
The Ghost of You - a standalone fic full of angst, in which a glitch causes Connor to tap into a myriad alternate paths he could have taken with Hank, but ultimately never did; and I shamelessly reference some of my other fic ‘verses.
Touch - a brief but sweet PWP directly following the events of Ghost of You, in which Connor and Hank both realize just how starved for physical connection they are.
Filling the prompt Too Shaky to Stand - Aftershocks. (A fic that borders the PWP territory, set in a (possibly) alternate aftermath of one of my WiPs The Kamski Experience, a human AU where the DPD team is a documentary film crew invited to a privately owned island/mansion for an exclusive peek into genius entrepreneur Elijah Kamski’s newest project - and the work weekend turns into a forced stay at Hotel Horror.) Human AU, featuring transmasc Hank and genderfluid Connor. They both need to heal for various reasons, and find it easier to do so with each other.
For prompts PTSD, Only One Bed, Free Space and Sleep Deprivation, I present Only You - another alternate path for one of my old, old fics Being Alive. A Reverse AU HankCon, my style, in which Hank’s still Hank, and Connor’s very much himself. Cole’s alive and well. And things are nothing short of complicated.
Book Store AU - an as of yet unnamed snippet of a fic that’s bound to get more chapters or a whole big-ass complicated storyline down the road. We’ll see. :3
And last but very much not least, for the Dom/Sub prompt: Spa Day, in which a gentle dom/top Connor takes care of stressed out, aching sub/bottom Hank. Currently getting chapter 3/5 done for posting. Fingers crossed it goes up tonight 🙂
Thanks again to the mods of the HankCon Bingo event - and thank you to @sweeteatercat who talked about it just in time for me to join up too. <3<3<3<3
Feel free to dm me if you’d like to be removed from the list. Taglist here!
HHHHHh worked double-time to get this out in time for mermay 😩💦 Sorry it’s late. Thank you for your patience and for sticking with me this far!! I appreciate y'all so much ;w; <3
Read @honkforhankcon's (Blackeyedblonde's) Hankcon fic "eighteen wheels on an uphill climb" again. Imo, one of the best fics you can find for this ship. Highly recommend!
