Currently doing community service at a location where they accept and sort thru donations (mostly clothing). Its not a chain thing, its one independent place, so don’t try to guess where it is. Anyone local can come here for free clothes/food. (There’s food upstairs but I’m sorting clothes.)

Anyways I’m making this post to mention that hangars that are completely metal wire are banned and its instructed to throw them out because they “can be taken apart and used as dangerous weapons to hurt people.” While I did make some sarcastic comments about this to the woman in charge who said this, I’m not going to push this because I don’t want to get into an in-person argument.

I’m just kind of curious to how other people see this. Do you think people who don’t have access to safe abortion should also not have access to unsafe abortion? (For anyone confused, hangars made completely out of wire are often used for makeshift abortions.) Obviously its not ideal if you are in a situation where a clothing hangar is your only option, but if that’s all you got, that’s all you got. Abortion should be freely and safely available to anyone and everyone who needs it.

Mostly I find the insinuation that the hangars are “dangerous weapons” kind of absurd. Also insulting to my intelligence. I know what they are for lmao. I know I look young but I’m not stupid.

Do not interact if you are anti-abortion/pro-forced birth. You are not “pro-life” and you know it. I don’t want to read any of that bullshit. Just admit you have a forced breeding kink and move on.

Kevin Kiner you goddamned genius.

I’ve always enjoyed the music of the Bad Batch, but holy shit. This is such a subtle thing that almost nobody would recognize consciously, but it adds SO much subtext to the scene at the end of the latest episode:

Crosshair’s theme changes. Since the very first episode of the Bad Batch when he confronts them in the hangar after being brainwashed, his music has been defined by synth. But in the last few moments of The Outpost, Crosshair’s theme evolves. The notes are the same, but they’re not synth anymore.

They’re BRASS.

“Why is brass important?” you may ask.

Because clones, and ESPECIALLY their valor/honor/duty as soldiers, are defined by brass. Listen to the first 30 seconds or so of this song, the clone theme from TCW:

Now close your eyes and listen to the music of the last few minutes of “The Outpost.” Listen to Crosshair’s theme as he watches the vulture’s shadow on the ground. Then again, as he stands up and makes his choice to avenge Mayday. There’s less and less synth, replaced instead by organic string instruments.

And then, after he avenges Mayday, the honorable choice, he collapses. It changes to BRASS.

The music acknowledges Crosshair’s growth from a good soldier following orders to a man choosing to do the right thing. Holy shit.
