I had a dream last night that there was a new chapter of Seraph of the End and omgg there was Guren (finally) in the chapter! And even better, he was beautiful 😩 the old character design was back, it felt great!

I don't really remember what was happening in this chapter but I seem to remember a fight between Guren and Yuu and Yuu won. Then at the end, Guren was in a car with Sayuri and Shigure and he was crying 💀

I hope it was a premonitory dream lmao

Not gonna lie but this scene always hurt me so much I mean the way Guren thinks about Shinya and if he should trust him and accept his friendship or not was always one of the most heart breaking things ever cause it clearly shows how much alone he always was, how much he always tried to do everything himself not just because he couldn't trust on people but because he didn't want the others to get hurt so that's why he always tried to do everything alone and thought he can do things better alone (I can understand him very well as I am like this too, I also think I should do things alone instead of relying on the others too and well I found it out that I was too wrong till now...) and this isn't something we can find out ourselves but is something written in the novels directly from Sayuri's point of views too

The way even Sayuri could feel how much Guren felt lonely whole his life was sad because yes Guren had his father and family around him but they weren't actually there for him so I think it is too sad to have many people around yourself and be the center of them but be actually the most lonely person there too and so that's why I think Guren's eyes in that panel is his the most real and deepest and truest feelings about how much he wished not to be alone and can have real, true friends even for once so actually that's why he was that happy when he found his group and showed his the most genuine smile there...

Hope we can see the same smile back on him again and his lonely story can have a happy ending eventually...

I have EVERY headcanon known to man! And I am not bothered by asks, I love responding to them~ fair warning: i am very big on guremahi lol apologies for the sprinkles of them

highschool headcanons

Shinya did weed with Goshi once and instantly became obsessed

Guren probably smoked cigarettes, since weed "smells horrible" (but cigarettes smell equally as bad) (he later on starts smoking weed)

Mito forged fake IDs for the squad so they could go to the club and buy alcohol

Everyone in Guren squad has a DUI i will not elaborate

Mahiru and Kureto play rock paper scissors across the room

Apparently the middle finger is a weapon

Sayuri and Shigure have probably baked weed brownies on Guren's request for Shinya

Goshi is a stoner, no I will not elaborate

Mito is an alcoholic

Mahiru wrote fanfiction and accidentally got famous

Guren ran a Mahiru fanpage but his friends forced him to shut it down after she transferred out

"what do you wanna be when you grow up, guren?" "mahirus husband."

One time, Guren came over with flowers for Mahiru but she wasn't home so Aoi opened the door and it looked like Guren was gonna give it to her instead. Kureto saw, gently moved Aoi out of the way and fucking BODIED Guren (Slamming his head into the pavement)

Shinya recorded it like a HS fight video

Actually Shinya definitely records fights in high school

The Guren Squad gc got leaked, Guren was called down to the office to find his squad members sitting there

The kids aren't alright

Very self indulgent experimental drawing after watching a short clip of Pet Sematary, and mixing it with the question of 'what if the squad got resurrected wrong?'. Like everyone's still alive but Guren feels this ever widening gap with these people he calls family and he doesn't know why. He can't tell them what happened either because they'll die immediately if they know about their resurrection.

Shinya figures something is wrong and begs Guren to tell him what happened. But Guren can't .

I always thought it was a missed opportunity how Kagami didn’t keep up with this “I had some doubts about that" Sayuri. At least to me, a character who was born to serve someone else and ordered to profess a loyalty they didn’t have by the adults questioning said adults’ teachings feels more realistic (also bonus points for calling Guren a brat). It’s a pity that after 10 minutes of conversing with Guren for the first time she falls for him and turns into a simp.

Sorry if i am bothering but what do you think abaout Wlw Mahiru ships? Or Mahiru and female cast friendships ?

İ hope you answer but you dont have to ofc if it makes you uncomfortable.

Personally, I'm a GureMahi stan (that being my favorite ship in all of Owari no Seraph, followed by MikaYuu) The idea of WLW GureMahi sounds pretty nice to me.

Mahiru kind of succumbs to shitty writing so her friendships with the female cast aren't exactly the best. However, if it were up to me...

Mahiru and Mito: Close friends in childhood, soon drifted apart because of their different aspirations. (Mito being unsure what to do with her life, and Mahiru knowing exactly what she wants and how to get it, even if the means aren't the best way of doing so). Mito dearly misses Mahiru, but Mahiru hasn't had the time of day to think about her old friendships and what she had left behind.

Mahiru and Sayuri: One of the invitees to Mahiru's childhood sleepovers. Sure, her dad didn't like it when those that were lower than them were around Hiiragi children (of course, excluding houses that served them), especially if they served the Ichinoses. Sayuri developed a small crush on Mahiru after she had saved her from humiliation via. Seishirou the fuckstain

Mahiru and Shigure: Met when Guren wasn't home. Mahiru took a liking to Shigure and made a sweet comment about how she and Guren were "almost like siblings". Shigure did not take it too kindly though. Even despite this, Mahiru made an effort to include her in activities. (I find that Shigure would be on the more anti-social end of the spectrum)

Mahiru and Aoi: Became friends upon Aoi's arrival to the Hiiragi house. Despite not being that close, Mahiru found her character to be interesting (as she held herself similarly to Guren). Since they were the "ladies of the Hiiragi house" (she was attempting to imply that Aoi would soon marry Kureto, which she completely missed) they had to stick together. They drifted apart after Mahiru showed opposition to Kureto.

I love it when people ask me stuff! So do not be afraid that you're "bothering me" (when in fact I love infodumping) and thank you for the ask ^_^
