To be quite honest I think the way a lot of ppl go ab the idea of a Ninjago rewrite is kinda funny.

Like, it's not the WRITER'S faults they constantly have to shelve story arcs and character development, they're constantly stuck switching everything based on how Lego wants to do things that specific year lmao.

SURE, there are a lot of weird inconsistencies and it's annoying how much they leave vague, but at the end of the day it's a dumb Lego show and the whole purpose is for kids to insert their own silly ideas wherever and whenever.

Ninjago isn't meant to be some hyper-intelligent show with the greatest depth and plot ever, it's a silly kid's show that kids can put their silly stories in whenever they wanna !!!

Ninjago's "ridiculous flaws and continuity errors and crazy inconsistencies" are part of the appeal!!!!

as we're told in yukong's companion quest, foxian's have a tradition that is tied with their birthright. as soon as a foxian is born, they're presented with a variety of items that represent future destinies. the main ones are:

a jade abascus — destiny of becoming a diviner

a sword — destiny of becoming a famous warrior

a toy starskiff — destiny of becoming a starskiff pilot

it is not specified if there are more items than these three or who decides which items are presented to the child, though, i believe that these are the main choices & most parents (who i assume to carry this tradition out for their child) use these.

tingyun's case when commencing the 'birthright' tradition was quite . . . peculiar. as an infant, she would not reach for any of the items & instead, simply stare at her parents & laugh. she did not seem interested in the fate that her parents presented her with; the stars would not see a future within divinination, fighting or piloting. instead, the young child was extremely social & loved being close to the others. of course, her not reaching for anything was somewhat worrying for her parents, alas, tingyun seemed quite content. she blossomed into her extroverted self, socializing & connecting with everyone around her. she also started talking very early, much to the dismay of her parents as she would not stop babbling until the moon rose.
