author’s note: hihi i decidwd to make a cute md short drabble abt hyuck since its his bday <3 actually i madw this a while ago but i just forgot to post it, hope u like it :)

you were eating your pasta at a random restaurant with the other members, having a get-together-time type of thingy.

“see, if you’d love me, you’d give me some of that.” haechan says, looking at you with a mocking smirk.

“if you’d love me, you wouldn’t ask me to give you my food, when you could just eat yours and leave me alone.” you said in an instant, as if the words were in the tip of your tongue.

everyone at the table let out surprised sounds such as gasps, others even started saying things like “ate that” “yoooo” “i wouldn’t take that if i was haechan” etc.

both you and haechan had different reactions: as you leaned back on your chair, with a winning smirk and a “you hear them” look, haechan simply scoffed and rolled his eyes.

he then playfully nudged you under the table with his foot, murmuring the words “stop it”. you smiled upon seeing his annoyed yet cute expression. haechan couldn’t help but crack a smile too, after all, he loved you and his other members so much that he didn’t mind the teasing.

after a while of haechan clinging into you to give him some of your pasta, you finally gave in and offered him some pasta, which he responded to with a loud gasp and a “thank y/n, you’re really the best!” in his loud-pitched anime voice.

what haechan forgot was that, y’all are in a restaurant full of people, and, well, everyone’s staring at your table.

happy HAECHAN day 💜

it’s my favourite boy in the world’s born day today and I always try have a good day on his birthday so imma share my day with you all

Literally slept in which is amazing cause I haven’t quite been able to sleep through a whole night for about a month or so but I woke up so refreshed and ready

I had quite a productive day - I did my washing and did the dishes and just got quite a bit done

Nan and I went for a walk in the freezing cold around the block and I was wearing shorts since my pants and any other acceptable clothing was in the washing machine but it was a nice walk

I sort of watched The Longest Yard while I was initially trying to write the second part of Corrupted but it ended up with multiple games of Clash of (?? Monkeys?) and Monkey Mart and it was honestly quite fun

In saying that I did not manage to finish this fic and I really wanted it done but tbh I only just got back on my laptop today and it’s being a little bit of a bitch

Went out for dinner for my uncle (it is also his birthday so happy birthday uncs) at this Asian fusion place and got some takoyaki and honestly that was enough for me.

I’m seriously so tired and it’s barely 9pm here but I’m all seriousness I had a good day and I completely forgot to check out Twitter for Haechan day related posts since I was enjoying mine

I GOT PAID which I’m very stoked about and that means I’m even closer to Australia which I still haven’t paid for but have definitely planned

To see the day off I’m going to make myself a milo and enjoy it to the end and I might grab my laptop from my cousin’s room and write a few lines

running down your stairs, cheeks flushed with embarrassment for the scolding you’re going to get from your neighbors in the morning and the amount of effort your best friend put into this. despite almost sliding to your death on the final step, you fumble and quickly slip your slippers on and bolt out your front door.

haechan was standing in your front yard with the boombox still over his head, a small white dog holding a sunflower in its mouth and a sign hanging around haechan’s neck that had a big red heart drawn on it. ‘are you fucking inane? it’s past midnight right now!’ you say in a hushed whisper, walking over to the boy who was gleaming at you. his shaky arms lower as he maneuvers the box and turns down the music before lowering it to his side. ‘insanely down bad for you, pretty girl.’ rolling your eyes, you give his shoulder a slight shove before reaching down to pet the sweet little dog.

‘again whose dog is this?’ haechan ignores your words, grabbing your hips to pull you against his chest. he’s already nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck before you can question his sudden affection. ‘just say you’ll be my valentine this year.’ he mumbled against your skin, bringing warmth throughout your entire body. ‘what about the following years, hyuckie?’he laughs against your neck, wrapping his arms around your waist. ‘we’ll worry about that next year, this year you’re mine.’

“close your eyes for me real quick, baby.” he tells you.

you raise your eyebrows in suspicion. “why?”

haechan cocks his head to the side, scoffing. “just do it.” with a small sigh you do as he says.

both of you are sitting in his car, he had pulled up to your place texting you telling you you had left something at his dorm a couple nights ago and he’s coming to drop it off. you don’t recall leaving anything at his place, you would have realized if you had. yet, the last few days have been draining and your memory has been shit so you don’t think anything of it.

when you got into haechan’s car, greeting him with a short kiss. this is the first you’ve seen him since last month. him being busy with the comeback and promotions, you’ve only seen his face on face time and through the selfies he sends you occasionally.

as you sit across from him in the passenger seat, your body turned so you’re facing him. haechan quickly reaches in the back seat grabbing a bouquet of flowers that’s wrapped aesthetically in brown paper.

he holds them carefully in his hands and holding them out in front of you.

“for you.”

you slowly open your eyes, your sight adjusting to a bouquet of red roses in front of you.

“what-“ you managed to stammer out, mouth slightly agape from the sudden surprise in front of you and the boy with a nervous smile and reddened cheeks behind it.

he clears his throat. “you were having a bad day and i wanted to make you feel better.” he explains shyly.

you didn’t even realize you were beginning to cry until your vision got blurry, and that’s when you leaned over the center console to engulf his upper half into a hug as you sob into his shoulder.

“i got you, baby. i got you, it’s okay.” he softly mumbles into your hair, he places the roses down by your feet to fully wrap you in his embrace. whispering reassuring and loving words into your ears.

you knew a cry is what you needed to ease your physical and emotional pain, yet when you were alone in your apartment, it was hard to even let out a tear.

but being engulfed in haechan’s love and warmth had woken you up. this man could simply smile at you while you’re having a bad day and you won’t even realize what was dragging you down.

when he takes notice of your sniffles calming down he slowly unwraps your arms around him to cup your face.

he pouts, “aigoo, i was gonna say you’re an ugly cryer but i’d be lying.” he tries to lift up your mood, playfully teasing you.

you scoff, shoving him away as you wipe your face with the end of your sleeves from your sweater you had thrown on in a hurry when haechan said he was in front of your place.

“thank you, for the flowers, for making me happy, for letting me cry into your shoulder.” your voice wavered towards the end, the emotional tears coming back up but haechan stops them.

he holds your face in the palm of his soft hands, lightly squeezing your cheeks together to make your lips pout.

“no need to thank me, bubs.” he kisses you on your pouted lips.

“i,” kiss.

“love,” kiss.

“making,” kiss.

“you,” kiss.

“happy.” he finishes with his last kiss making a big smooch sound.

The six years with you was a real roller coaster ride. You were there in my lowest and my happiest. I'm glad I have met you. And idk why but adoring you feels like it comes out naturally from me.
