Part One, Part Two, Part Three

After stopping by the William Wallace memorial, Jason suggested they stop by a cafe for some lunch. He ordered the fish and chips-- how could he be in London and not try that at least once-- but was thoroughly disappointed in the results. He picked at it despondently while Salim seemed more pleased with his chosen meal.

“I have to say,” Salim spoke up, “that seeing you 'nerd out' over the memorial was worth the trip. Are you a history buff?”

“Nah.” Jason cracked a grin. “Just a huge fan of Braveheart. Saw it so many fuckin' times I wore out the VHS.” Salim matched his grin and Jason quickly ducked his head, shoving a chip in his mouth.

It was annoying how handsome and funny Salim was, how easy it was to banter with him, how comfortable Jason felt in the man's presence. Jason hadn't felt so stupidly giddy around a guy in years.

“What would you like to see next?” Salim asked him.

“Nope, it's your turn. I already picked the Eye and the memorial.”

“You 'picked the Eye'?” Salim repeated, his lip twitching and eyes dancing. “That doesn't sound very hygienic.” Jason laughed despite himself.

“That was a terrible joke.” Salim just smiled, and Jason's stupid heart fluttered crazily in his chest. “Seriously, though, you should pick where we go next.”

“It's hard to choose,” Salim admitted. “As you said, there are so many historical places in the city. The Globe Theatre, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben's clock tower, the British Museum...”

“Nerd,” Jason teased him.

“I should save the museum for Zain,” Salim amended after some thought. “The Globe is being renovated, but they might still be open for tours if you're interested.”

“Sure,” Jason agreed, hoping he didn't sound too eager. “We can both nerd out.”

“How so?” Salim wondered.

“I've seen Shakespeare in Love.” Jason had to fight to keep a straight face. Salim gave him an incredulous look, but then his expression widened when he caught Jason's smile.

“You're messing with me.”

“A little,” Jason agreed, chuckling. Fuck, this guy was too damn cute. “I read most of the plays,” Jason confessed more seriously. “But keep that between us, all right?”

“Don't worry, Jason,” Salim responded with a soft tone in his voice. “I will never tell a soul that you are, in truth, a Shakespeare nerd.” Jason laughed and punched the other man gently on the shoulder.

“You're such an asshole.” Salim's eyes danced merrily back at him. Fuck, fuck, Jason's stupid giddy feeling was just getting worse. He just met this guy yesterday and already crushing so hard it was going to hurt when they finally parted ways.

Not yet, though. Jason had at least another hour or two with Salim.

1. Listen. They're from two different games, but I think if they were in the same room together they would be perfect. Two extravagant rich boys? What's not to love?

Sam Giddings x Hannah Washington

1. Best friends to lovers dynamic? perfect. Sam was the only one (except for Beth) who was nice to Hannah in the prologue. And their relationship stats are very high. Sam would be very protective gf for Hannah

2. In your "Nothing bad ever happened ever" AUs, you've got some classic best friends (even childhood friends) to lovers. In canon, though, the tragedy of it all makes you want to chew through wood. Thinking about Sam having been in love with Hannah all that time when she was pining for some guy, and then losing her tragically because she couldn't find her in time to stop the prank. Also, right at the end of the game, as Sam makes a break for the light switch, you could easily assume that Hannah is lunging for her and ended up tackling a miner in the process, but a better idea, a *gayer* idea is that deep down, Hannah recognised Sam, and wanted to save her when it all came down to it. It's tragic. It's heartbreaking. It's kinda beautiful, to think, even in that altered state, Hannah loved Sam too, but only came to realise it at the last possible moment, and used that clarity to save her friend. Maybe she loved her that whole time, before the prank, but latched onto Mike as a way to seem 'normal'. Heteronormativity is the real villain in this game and that's that on that

Until Dawn: Thoughts And Theories

So, since so many of you wanted to know my thoughts of the game, I decided to put this post together with how I did and all of my thoughts. I wanted to get this done right after I finished the game but I haven't been feeling too well lately and wanted to make sure I got all my thoughts down. I know it's been a month since I finished the game but I just couldn't finish this until now. 😂 And I'm sure I still missed a few things but it is what it is. I'll just post them afterwards. 🤷‍♀️

I saved 6 out of 8 characters. Jessica got her jaw ripped off when I chose to run as Matt and Sam got impaled by Hannah during the very last "Don't Move" sequence. (Why does she look happy about it though??? 🤔🤨)

I mean, she's literally like:

19/20 Clues found for the twins.

25/27 Clues found for 1952.

22/30 Clues found for mystery man. (Probably because Sam got caught by the psycho and I didn't get to find the room full of Josh's stuff. 🙄🤦‍♀️)

26/30 Totems found.

If I was to rate the characters from my most favorite to least favorite, it would have to go:

I don't know, guys. I understand why Emily could be a bitch at times. I really do. But fuck, she still gets on my nerves! 😂 I will admit though, she was smart. And I did feel bad for her when she got bit by the Wendigo and Mike pointed the gun at her and she crawled up onto the table and curled up in a ball because she was so scared. She got my mercy with that one. I'm an asshole sometimes but I'm not that much of an asshole. 😂 But she was also cheating on Matt with Mike which made me lose any bit of growing respect that I had for her. Which means that there was a possibility that Mike was also cheating on Jessica. And if that's the case, WHAT THE FUCK WAS MIKE THINKING?! CHEATING ON JESSICA WITH EMILY?! WAS HE BLIND?! Speaking of Jess and Matt, I wish we got more of them. I get why they did this, but they just disappeared for several chapters until the very end and when they did return, it was so short. I feel like we didn't get a chance to really get to know Matt too. I didn't expect to like Jess as much as I did but I did grow massive respect for her after seeing what she went through. Hell, I didn't even expect to like Mike as much as I did and here we are!

Ok, speaking of Mike. Who else spent half an hour making Mike pet Wolfie? 😂 Like, I'm sorry Jason and Salim but Mike and Wolfie are the best duo, hands down! But anyway, I needed more of them in the game. 😅 MIKE AND WOLFIE DLC, PLEASE!!!

The acting was phenomenal. The reactions were on point. (Other than Beth going "Where. Is. My. Sister. Going?" at the start. 😂) But the part where Emily found the skeletons or when Mike and Sam found the hanging dead body, their reactions were perfect. (Even though they mention "all the bodies" even if it's the stranger hanging there. I think they only recorded dialog for if any playable characters died and were hanging there as well.) In most games, when characters find dead bodies, they barely react. (Like Rachel in the blood pit in House Of Ashes.) So, this was nice to see and only added to the fear I felt while playing. I knew that Rami Malek was a brilliant actor but I had no idea jut how phenomenal he was until playing this game. Watching Josh have his mental breakdown literally brought me to tears and I could feel the fear he felt just by the shaken sound of his voice. (I'll never get the sound of his voice while saying, "I don't take orders from you. You can't tell me what to do anymore." Or when he was screaming as Hannah carried him away, out of my head. 🥺)

Speaking of Hannah. I found it really stupid of the other characters to be surprised by Hannah's reaction when she found out it was a prank. They knew Hannah well and knew she had a HUGE crush on Mike. And Hanaah seemed like the shy and insecure type of girl so taking off your shirt infront of the guy you liked was probably nerve wrecking as fuck enough. (Even though he was Emily's boyfriend, so Hannah was in the wrong for doing that. Actuall, fuck that! Emily cheated on Matt! You go, Hannah! ✊🏻😤) But realizing all your friends are in the room, laughing at you and RECORDING IT?! That would have been horrifying! How were they so stupid to think that it wouldn't upset her?! I do wonder if Hannah held a grudge against Sam regarding the whole prank situation. Because Sam ran in after the prank had been pulled and said "It was just a stupid prank." Hannah probably thought that Sam knew about the prank and didn't do anything to stop them, even though she did try to do something before it happened. And Sam didn't go after her when she ran off, which probably added fuel to that fire. Which would make sense as to why Josh involved Sam in the pranks as well, because from what he seen, she didn't really do anything to stop it.

Honestly, Josh's prank was fucked up, yes. I mean, kidnapping your friends, putting them in fucked up Saw-like traps, recording your friend naked in the bath, etc. It was a bit much, I'll agree to that. But it wasn't the most fucked up prank I've seen. I've seen people do WAY worse to their friends. 😅 I was more impressed that he pulled it off so well by himself. I've seen people say they are confused as to why he went so hard on Sam and Chris when they weren't in on Hannah's prank but I have a theory. Chris was considered the "hero" in Josh's little horror movie. He was "the guy who gets the girl". He said himself that Chris and Ashley needed something traumatic to happen to push themselves into each other's arms. That's why he waited to reveal himself until they confessed their feelings for each other. As for Sam, if he was actually hold a grudge against her for what happened to Hannah and Beth, I don't think he expected her to be the fighter she was. He might have been caught off gaurd with the chase because he planned on capturing her and locking her up so she wouldn't interfere with the other traps and such. But when he fails and she gets away, you can tell he's frustrated as hell about it because it didn't go to plan. That, or she was the "final girl" in his story. He wanted to see how well she fought against him. There was also another theory on Wattpad that's a part of a really good theory collection book (I'll link it at the end of this.) That Josh did what he did to Sam to make her stronger. At the start, she seemed more kind and a "by the book" type of girl, so to speak. But by the end she seemed stronger and willing to do whatever she needed to do to save herself and her friends. Like when Josh starts chasing her, she runs in fear, maybe throws a vase first but then runs. But when she was dealing with the Wendigos in the lodge at the end, she literally yells at Hannah to save Mike. She doesn't run away but she stays behind to help Mike put an end to things. Maybe Josh seen the strength in her and wanted to bring it out? He seen what she was hiding behind her "good behavior" and wanted her to come out of it strong and brave. He wanted her to be herself. He said that he showed them parts of themselves that they were too afraid to visit, and maybe that's what he meant? She was too worried about being morally strict to be the strong woman she was, so he forced that part of her open. I think his motives with Chris and Sam was to make them better people, not to actually fuck them up or anything.

Did you guys also notice that he only shows his "death" to Chris, Sam and Ashley? I don't know if he is really close to Ashley but he was with Chris and Sam so maybe he wanted to see how they reacted to his death? To see if they were all really as close as he thought? Even then, I don't think he and Sam were as close as Sam thought since she didn't know so much about him that went down with his mental health and suicide attempt and such. I think he let her into a small part of his world and she thought it was bigger than what it was. Which would explain why she was so heartbroken by him in the end.

So, I watched the best ending and noticed something about Sam. One line in her interview stood out more than the others. The officer asked if she needed to talk to somebody about it and she yelled "I'm fine!" When you find Josh's phone as Sam, you see messages between him and Dr. Hill and he also texted "I'm fine!" Could this be repeating a cycle? Josh went mad from the grief of losing his sisters and pushed everyone away and Sam goes mad from losing her close friend/possibly best friend and pushes everyone away as well? I hope not, but it seemed like that.

On the other hand, when Mike tells Sam that Josh got dragged away by Hannah in the mines, she literally does a, "Yes, very sad… Anyway!" and starts fucking with the light switch. You were so close to the guy and yet you barely gave a fuck when you found out that he possibly died?! What?! 😂

My top ships were Ashley and Chris (Is it even a ship if they are canonically together? 🤔), Mike and Sam (Though I loved Mike and Jess together, Sam and Mike just seemed like a better match to me. They both loved animals and they were both badass as fuck, so-), Jess and Matt (They were two of the youngest of the group and so cute together towards the end.), and Me and Josh… Ehem… 👀

Speaking of Sam and Mike, actually, this part sealed the deal for me. The fact that he jumps up and runs to grab her arm when the Wendigo spirit goes after her and then continues to hold her after is just too damn sweet. 🥺💖 (Don't mind Mark cheering in the corner. 😂)

Anyway, the game was a 9 out of 10 for me. (I'm knocking off a point because we can't save Josh. 😑)

But yeah, this game was amazing and it will definitely stay with me for a very long time. I get the hype now. I really do. 😅 Now I just wonder what happened afterwards? Did the cops believe them or were they found guilty for murdering Josh? Did the events bring them closer or push them farther away like the first trauma had done a year ago? Oh, well. We'll never know what really happened afterwards. We can only guess. But one thing I do know for sure from all of this: Josh would have made one hell of a film producer. ❤

Admit it (jalim)

Summary: Nick and Jason talk things over after the events that took place, it was an innocent conversation at first, simply going over what happened together. But once they started talking about Rachel, a certain question arose in nicks head.

Note: everyone survived, Nick and Rachel are together, and Salim is being questioned during this.

Jason felt a lump form in his throat, he was clenching the railing under the big one way mirror in front of him.

"Kolchek, what's good?" Nick laughed placing a hard hand on Jason back, looking into the window as well.

Salim was chained to the table, a bit of fresh blood smeared on his forehead.

"He doesn't look to good," he commented again searching for a reaction from Jason.

But there was none, "how's the love triangle?" Jason laughed before hesitantly stepping away from the window.

Nick started laughing more, slumping himself in the chair across the hallway, "Rachel officially dumped ol' Eric King, she told him "you can't always fix what's broken"" nick mimicked, smiling proudly.

"I seen you two eye balling each other up in the helicopter, man, I'm surprised Eric let you live,"

Nick laughed again in return, his eyes fixated themselves behind Jason. The gaurd was swiftly throwing a punch towards Salim.

"Holy shit," he said standing up.

"They've been doing it all day, I tried- I tried talking to them," Jason shook his head and looked away

The room around them went silent

"You like him don't you," Nick said breaking the silence

"Yeah, I mean, hes a good guy, y'know-"

"No, no, Jason, you-"

"Shut up," Jason hissed turning sharply towards Nick, "sorry, I- I just"

"You've never felt like this? You feel like a little girl with a crush?" Nick laughed

"I- I don't know, I guess,"

"Man stop guessing yourself," Nick placed his hand back on jasons shoulder, "I think you should talk to him,"

"Yeah right, fuck no"

"What? What's the worst that can happen?"

"He ain't gay, hell two days ago if you even brought up gay around me I wouldn't even think of it"

"I think you'll be surprised," Nick shook his head, walking away.

5 minutes passed and finally the gaurd was done questioning him, releasing him back into Jason's care.

In those 5 minutes Jason thought more then he ever did before, everything in his life was starting to make sense, he always denied it.

"I think I'm gay," Jason blurted out once it was just him and Salim in their shared quarantine room.

"Okay?" Salim answered caught off guard a bit, "I'm happy for you?"

"No, no like," Jason took a shakey breath and sat down, "I hardly know you and your all I think about you, I don't even think I remember your last name,"

Salim smiled down at Jason who was now on one of the two beds in the room, "I know it's hard," Salim said, taking a seat next to Jason, "how long have you known?"

"Like ten minutes," Jason said honestly, "I never thought of it until," Jason stopped and looked up a bit, "God this is cheesy," he groaned

"Until we met?" Salim laughed, "I have to admit we have quite the connection,"

"I'm sorry man, this is probably so weird,"

"Compaired to vampires? I'd say this is pretty normal,"

Jason laughed, pushing Salim with his shoulder a bit, "do you have this affect on people often?" Jason flirted

"Actually your the first," Salim laughed, "what I'm trying to say Jason, is that this is okay, and normal,"

"Is there something between us?" Jason asked impulsively, nearly gagging on the words in fear

Salim didn't say anything, which didn't help Jason's nerves much, the nervousness quickly turned into relaxation.

Salim closed the gap between them, his hand trailing down Jason back, and gliding up his chest.

He pulled away and looked at Jason, "does that answer your question?"

Instead of answering Jason quickly connected their lips once more.

Bonus:

Nick and Rachel sat in the cafeteria area, eating their breakfast peacefully.

"Kolcheks been acting off, you think it has to do with the iraqi?" Rachel asked alwardly

"Oh for sure, what kind of person runs into hell like that AGAIN just to save someone they just met"

"Do you think he has a crush," Rachel laughed

"More like a boyfriend," Nick nodded over to the two men in the cafeteria, both curled up again the wall sharing stories about their past.

"Okay but they are really cute," Rachel said gazing at the two.

10 Headcanons For the Birthday Magician and Our Beloved Crime-Committing Snake!

Featuring: Asra Alnazar, Faust, Apprentice/Librarian!Lyra Nguyen, Nook the Book Mimic, and various others.

Lyra gave Asra the pink scarf he’s almost never seen without.

When he first received it, the scarf smelled so much like Ly to the point he and Faust would have tiffs over who slept/napped with and/or in it the first few weeks of having it.

Faust and Nook have committed crimes together, but no one can pin it on them because they’re a sneaky pair.

Lyra chastises Nook over it: while he has a tiny blip of shame, both familiars are almost ungovernable.

For y e a r s, Neha teased Asra about being a chicken when it came to trying/failing at asking Lyra to dance with him at any festivity Vesuvia had going on at any given time.

Everyone and their pet/familiar could see Asra was head over heels in love with Lyra . . . everyone except the very person he was crushing on.

Asra and Lyra had a full blown argument over the fact Lyra actually liked having raisins time to time in the pumpkin bread Selasi bakes.

They usually made up over tea.

Every year without fail on Asra’s and Faust’s birthday, Lyra always saves the best piece of the cake for them both.

Palace Librarian!Timeline(s) | [Red Plague, Beginning of Main Plot, & Epilogue (Upright)]

Birthdays were a bit of a strange topic during the Red Plague.

Regardless—and somehow—Asra and Julian saved her a slice of cake when it was either of their birthdays OR her own, bless their souls . . .

While Lyra does/did respect both Asra and Faust during their time in the palace, she was wary of them.

The books Asra had been requesting more often than not came from the Forbidden Highly Guarded Section of the palace library.

On MC’s birthday—Lyra didn’t know it was MC’s birthday at the time—both Asra, Faust and Julian were 10x more morose/stressed than usual.

She didn’t ask the why of it all . . . she respected their privacy.

After the Red Plague, Lyra would time to time send packages to Asra and Faust when their birthday did swing around.

More often than not, the packages did not make it safely to their intended destination . . . at least during the three years between the Previous Masquerade and the Main Game Events of The Arcana.

During the end of Asra’s upright ending, Lyra works closely with Aisha, Salim, the Countess, and Julian in helping to work on jump-starting the public work projects Nadia is spearheading. Asra sends Lyra knitted tube-socks for Nook, which she deeply appreciated.

Bonus: In Lucio’s upright ending, there’s talk between Nadia and Asra about expanding the palace library. It’s hinted that Asra would get Muriel involved in the project.

Whether or not he’d try to be Muriel OR Lyra’s wingperson is up for debate, but it all boils down to just LEMME INDULGE, PLEASE. X’D

Mun: I’ve been dealing with a lot, and while I did plan on writing a fic, time constraints have led me to put this together instead (/positive)!

🌱 Who was your first F/O?

My first ever was Michelangelo from TMNT 2003 :D I was like kindergarden age when I imagined myself w him on rooftops haha. He was in my F/O list for a while but I didn't like my s/i. She was like mutated cat since Mikey is mutated turtle. I still have soft spot for him. If I could find my native dub of 2003 TMNT more easily perhaps he would still be in the list. Mikey is the reason I tend to drift towards guys with humor (like Frank West). The first F/O on my official list was Ushio of course.

🥀 Talk about some of your fictional crushes and why they aren’t your F/O!

Mentioned Mikey above so perhaps I could discuss this. I have a lot of fleeting crushes, usually from random video games I watch on YT that never make it on my f/o list. Some aren't even crushes it's just romantic interest, possibility that never goes anywhere.

Some of these for example are Joel Miller from tlou game & John Bradford from xcom 2 who's below.

Hilariously I'm sorta haunted by Troy Baker & Brian Bloom as characters they voice is someone I often find myself having minicrushes on. Both Blazkowicz & Bradford are voiced by Brian Bloom for example, but only one is on my f/o list.

🧾 What’s your favorite headcanon someone else has made about your F/O?

I usually stay far away from general fandom & for my f/os don't even have big enough fandom for me to see headcanons. However someone had headcanon made into a fic of Ushio being reincarnated over all the YGO series since he makes cameo appearance in quite many of them (GX, Zexal, Arc V to name few) and him being aware of the fact he had lived multiply lifetimes, even vaguely remembering some details. And some details staying the same like him being an ass first and then changing and being aware that it had happened before. It just seemed fascinating to me.

🔒 What does your platonic F/O think about your F/O? Are they overprotective of you?

Hakon and Deacon are definitely overprotective of me! If I had f/o from Days Gone, Deek would be the overprotective grumpy big brother type.

But I have ton of platonic f/os I don't list like entire 5ds group from YGO 5ds or Alan Wake from the same named game. I think Alan would be on guard if I ever showed him a bf - he's keeping an eye on them, maybe talking about it with Alice who gently laughs it off and calls her husband paranoid.

Vergil would "warn" me about Jesse, how closed off and intimidating he is and asking if I'm sure and would be nervous while tinkering with his projects for Rentier Institute. He just wants me to be safe & he has nothing againt Jesse himself, but he can be off putting & appear like a brute.

T-Bone and Clara would be hilarious if I'd ever tell them I date Aiden. T-Bone would just laugh like I made the biggest joke and then say "I hope you know what you're doing" while Clara just cocks an eyebrow silently. Later T-Bone would call Aiden and kinda give him the threat call cause "She's damn civilian Aiden! What the fuck are you thinking?!". He would get fellow hacker as someone to date, but hates civilians getting involved since the incident with Blume & his own hacking in 2003

Jason Kolchek would hilarious. He and Eric aren't that close & Jason doesn't have the highest opinion of his ex-Colonel so he simply doesn't understand just what can I see in him. It's like him with women, do not compute (Jason's def gay ok) so sometimes he says something brutal and Salim will soften it and I'm just baffled.

What Salim or Jason would do after the evens down there?

If everyone survives it may be a bit easier for them to move on, leave that place (not just physically but mentally as well) and be a whole person again.

Salim would go back of course to his son, first catch Zain for a bone crushing bear hug, just Salim, holding his son for minutes, thanking Allah for keeping him alive and bringing him back to his son

Zain is like: "Baba?¿ what's gotten into you?" And Salim just tears up and whispers: "I missed you so much, my boy. I love you Zain, happy birthday!"

After the shock he would tell a lot of things to Zain. Not everything, because there are gruesome things he would want to spare his child from, but he knows Zain is history nerd so of course he would talk about what places they've been down there. Salim would leave the military, maybe even leave the city too...or whole Iraq, moving to England with Zain, so his family does not need to deal with this shit anymore.

I see him as a smarty guy, with mathematics, law, or an accountant. He would find a job in these, settling down for a quiet and peaceful life where war is a far concept.

Jason got hit with reality down there: you cannot judge someone off of their background, not everything as it seems first... etc etc big eye-opening stuff.

So he goes all panicked mode, like his whole world just turned upside down and doesn't know how to figure things out anymore.

He would too, leave the military, which would add even more turmoil on his crysis; now his previous purpose is gone too.

He needs his friends and family beside him, don't you dare leave him now in this vulnerable state because the boy just couldn't bear more.

I Need therapy for sure. He will admit it sooner or later and with the help of his loved ones, Jason would slowly process his trauma.

After gathering himself he would want to stay out of anything extreme, but at the same time he needs something that can stimulate his ongoing nerves, after all Jason needs a little bit of business in his life to exist properly.

Both Salim and Jason went through some heavy trauma there, they would need to overcome those. Nightmares, flashbacks, paranoia would be lingering around them for some time.

I see Salim as someone who would start doing better first, he would not spiral down so much, but still Hot Baba needs help too.

Overall I think everyone needs therapy from the group lmao, but after some time they all start to find a new way to live, to function, now paying attention just on things that matters to them.

They have a similar trait. They’re both carefree. He likes water and he has a fire esthetic.

THIS IS LITERALLY A FIRE X WATER SHIP.

Plus Kian, the game decided at random, that he was gay. I checked. He’s only into men.

While Ruby is bisexual and into both sexes.

So I can definitely see Kian and Ruby both having same sex spouses. Ruby in elder age of course, cause challenge rules. But I can see Kian marrying a guy and not having kids.

But Ruby got sick with a rash. So we had to go home. We didn’t find Ruby a date.

I hate when they translate faen as girlfriend or boyfriend. It's a gender neutral term. Translating it in a gendered way adds a layer to the conversation that isn't actually there. I'm fine with it when everyone in the room knows the gender of the faen, but when the person doesn't know, the translation makes them seem either ignorant or accepting.

Same Art, same. I feel like I'd understand this better if i didn't have to rely on subtitles.

This is the first time this show has made me feel actual fear. It looks like the moon is bearing down on you, about to crush you.

I might be a little more scared than I normally would be now that I'm thinking about the moon crashing into the earth. So thanks Till the World Ends for giving me an irrational fear.

Literally just had the fear of death put in me by a show and then the world goes dark.

Just something a friend and I have thought about xD

Jason and Nick would’ve been the sporty guys in class. Maybe in the school’s football or soccer team

Jason and Nick are childhood besties. They live next door to each other

Salim is the new student almost every girl falls in love with -> Jason gets jealous ‘cause he feels like his ‘Hotshot’ reputation is endangered

Eric is the smart kid and always greeted with “Hi nerd” by Jason (he’s like friendly bullying)

Nick and Eric both have a crush on Rachel and take any chance to show off (Eric = brain vs Nick = muscles)

Nick likes to pick on Eric during PE classes like “I’m faster than you!” “I did ten more push-ups!”

Nick also tries hard studying more to compete against Eric to impress Rachel (He never beats Eric)

Rachel just thinks boys are stupid. She’s a queen she doesn’t need a king yet.

Salim is a very funny guy. He loves dad jokes and tries his best to make Jason laugh, since he’s been ignoring him since day 1. (Jason secretly loves these bad puns tho)

Clarice is the quiet girl sitting in the back. Cool style. Cool vibe. Obviously crushing on Jason.

Jason easily gets mad, but Salim is the only one not getting scared by his resting bitch face and still wants to be friends (he thinks he’s cool)

Future HOA Fics

Good news everyone! Not only have I graduated college with a BA, but Misha (my ferret) is bathed with trimmed claws! To celebrate, I just wanted to let you guys in on what’s coming now that I have more time to write!

1. Ur-Shanabi (2nd Chapter): Salim comes home to find that not only is Jason at his house, but he and Zain are acting like best friends. (The chapter is almost finished, but I’m having some trouble with dialogue.)

2. Tuqburni: Jason, now an FBI agent, is being held hostage by white supremacists who had been planning on bombing a parade. Salim, Jason’s boyfriend who also works for the FBI, tries to convince the terrorists to take him instead, but Jason’s like, “I think the fuck not!”

3. Kuwait: It’s 1990; the day before Salim has to leave his wife and 5-year-old son for an unknown length of time to fight in Kuwait. His wife’s not pleased with this, and the discussion they have shows how cracks are already forming in their marriage. However, when Zain insists that Salim stay in his room for the night, Salim is pleased to see that the bond with his son is still strong.

4. Untitled: Zain, now eight years old, mistakes another soldier at his football game as Salim, and it inspires him to kick the winning goal. He experiences crushing disappointment when he realizes the soldier was in fact not his father, but Salim does his best to make up for it later. (The American in me screams whenever I type “football” instead of “soccer” for this story.)

I also have a bunch of jalim ideas that aren’t flushed out yet. Maybe now that I’m not focused on school (or worrying about how Misha is willing to go to war over getting her claws trimmed), I’ll have time to work on planning those!

More Walking Dead AU...

Okay, so my mind is kind of taking off with this Walking Dead AU, and I’m trying to figure out ways to incorporate all the canon characters into the story.

One idea I debated with was whether or not to have Salim have a caretaker in the beginning, like Clem did with Lee, and who that would ultimately be if he did and whether or not I would just need to use an OC. Then I started thinking I should incorporate Balathu and Kurum into the series, somehow. And with that, I figured Balathu would fill Lee’s role, while Kurum would be the Luke of the series. I’ll probably end up renaming these two, though. I had thought I may have them be of Egyptian decent, but it’s still up in the air.

I also started thinking of giving Brooks and Miller roles as well and i thought they might make for good villains, so I started thinking they might work to fill the roles of Carver/Lily.

And finally, I’ve pretty much decided on the ages of all the kids when we inevitably get to the point when Salim and Jason meet up with them at the school.

Salim: 16

Jason: 6

Nick: 7

Eric: 14

Rachel: 14

Clarice: 5

Joey: 6

Dar: 17

Merwin: 18

Being the oldest of the group, Merwin is the one in charge of looking after everyone, with Dar being his second in command. Much like in HOA, Merwin has a strong attachment to little Joey.

There is also Dar’s girlfriend (or possibly crush), who I’ve named Nazira, as we weren’t given a name for his wife in the series. She’s 16. And I thought I might also add Salim’s wife into this series, who I’ve named Shameera (she’s 15 in this series).

Lol, whether or not Shameera will act as the Violet of the group and one of the older guys will be the Louis and then the reader decides who Salim tries to romance remains to be seen lmao. I think it’s a safe bet, given what happened with Salim’s wife, that no one would want him to romance Shameera xD Besides, I don’t necessarily want to follow the Walking Dead series to a T with this AU.

BUCKLE UP IT’S GONNA BE LONG

and premise: i’m still using the time travel plot, because i DO have an original story for sly but i legit just want to fix thieves in time, not make a completely different story

to fix it properly the series should’ve ended with sly 3, but lets pretend we can go on

also important: while i’m referring at the main bad guy as le paradox, the main bad guy ISN’T the le paradox of TiT. he’s a stupid character with a stupid name and an even more stupid motivation to be the bad guy, i’m simply using his name as nameclaim for lack of other names.

VARIOUS CHANGES:

the gang doesn’t travel in time because le paradox is specifically attacking the clan; le paradox is stealing stuff that eventually would end up in the cooper vault without even knowing it, and coincidentally deleting SOME parts of the thievious racconus. le paradox themself isn’t even aware the cooper gang is fighting their team off until the medieval england level and isn’t doing anything about them for the time being

no sly doesn’t “misses thieving uwu”, he gets back in the gang because of the whole “hey the pages are missing” and “penelope disappeared”. carmelita catches him and instead of being sassy and being like “woopsies lol” ofc he’s sarcastic at first but immediatly realizes he fucked up.

carmelita herself is part of the gang from japan, but she actually acts like part of the gang just at the very end of the level, where she actually talks it out with sly. their situation is still a little worrisome at the beginning, but first of all we don’t have carmelita getting kidnapped (NEVER.) nor her threatening him over and over. they very slowly understand to find a way to get over the whole “yea i was faking amnesia” thing

the time machine works differently. you gotta write the very precise date and place to travel!!! questions “shouldn’t we go back when neyla paralyzed bentley then?” or “shouldn’t we directly stop clockwerk then?” happen over and over and they’re quite the big plot point. they’re doing what’s right, not what’s good for them.

sly doesn’t go around saying he’s one of the cooper, once again because of time paradox stuff, but tries to find excuses about being a big fan or something like that. the ancestors don’t know he’s a cooper but his name becomes important for them (other than for slytunkhamen ofc) and is a name used a lot after that time

...also im gonna say it murray’s gay and has a crush for someone they meet during their travels. that’s it. it’s canon now no longer a shitty joke

LEVELS ANCESTORS AND BOSSES:

feudal japan, still w rioichi except that he didn’t invent sushi because it’s stupid and he isn’t a stereotype. el jefe can stay

the wild west is the only good level except for the whole “carmelita gets kidnapped” level and of course her stupid ass flirting with tennessee. everything else is perfect. tennessee is perfect. toothpick is perfect. i really like this level and it’s exactly the same except for that one level and the finale of course

in a better world bob nor grizz exist. the third level is the caribbean during the 1800, and the ancestor is henriette “one eye” cooper because i love her big time. the gang makes lot of jokes about “oh my god we’re with pirates again” and she’s the only one of the ancestors who lowkey flirts with carmelita. dimitri is having the time of his life and throws parties on the ship. idk who the bad guy is so don’t ask :(

ill talk about the medieval england and the black knight later but know that 3/4 of it is good and will stay. from penelope’s backstab onwards however it changes a LOT.

arabia can stay but it’s during the 40 thieves golden era, making salim a Big Boss instead of whatever the hell that was. no bellydance minigame. mrs decibel is a victim of circumstances and eventually helps the gang. i need to change her a lil but ill think about it

instead of paris, the final level would be ancient egypt. again i’m gonna talk about it later :3c

VERY BIG CHANGES I’M GONNA PUT UNDER READ MORE BECAUSE IT’S LONG AND I’M GONNA TALK ABOUT THE WHOLE PENELOPE BULLSHIT AND THE BIG TWIST IN EGYPT HELL YEAH

PENELOPE

you know that one scene when the black knight is confirmed to be a mecha controlled by penelope? HAH NO SYKE!!! yes penelope is confirmed to working for le paradox, but she’s been kidnapped and captured with the idea that “hey, you’re working with your bf to make a time machine? make one for me too or i game end him and all your friends” so of course she’ll do it. as for now, she’s chained in the black knight’s factory and after bentley is assured she’s good and fine and they hug it out, the next mission implies freeing her using carmelita and defeating the big mechanical dragon penelope had to build

penelope in TiT was already a completely different character, both personality and design speaking, so might as well make her an original one. so i present to you... le paradox.

the rest of the level continues just as in the game, except that bentley AND PENELOPE beat up the boss of the level - aka le paradox herself. from that moment she realizes the coopers are a problem and actively goes ahead and tries to mess with them on purpose, to the point that she wants to steal the thievious racconus to fuck with em.

penelope is part of the gang and actively works w them during arabia and egypt and become bff with carmelita and bentley proposes to her because shut the fuck up sanzaru

SIDENOTE: ARABIA

as i said it’s very different but esp at the end. salim’s thievious racconus IS stolen by le paradox and mrs decibel for enough for them to know about how slytunkhamen was the first cooper who wrote in it... and most importantly about clockwerk. salim’s book is retrieved also thanks to decibel, who spills the beans and explains le paradox’ plan to the gang to absolutely fuck up with everyone by giving clockwerk the necessary knowledge about technology to become the mechanical bird we all hate and dislike with the idea that “hey, if i steal the book and i let you kill the coopers we’re cool right?”

“but wouldn’t that create a paradox” yes but i never said le paradox is clever. she’s petty and stupid and had to kidnap penelope to make the time machine she doesn’t give a shit about paradoxes

EGYPT

it’s a true run against time. slytunkhamen is the only cooper who gets to know sly comes from the future because there’s no time to waste with silly excuses. half of the level is them trying to find clockwerk and overall saving one another from le paradox and clockwerk’s gangs and trying to reach for them before things happen

le paradox actually manages to find clockwerk, give him all the knowledge necessary, steals the thievious racconus and explains how coopers in the future learn from it... and just before the final battle with le paradox, well. clockwerk pulls a neyla and murders le paradox in cold blood

“isn’t it too much for a children’s game” neyla did the same to arpeggio and sly 2 is a game about drug deals shut up it isn’t

the remaining part of the final level is akin to the end of sly 2, really. clockwerk flying around and the gang trying to find ways to take him down and get back the thievious racconus before he could actually use le paradox’ time machine. because if clockwerk is dangerous, clockwerk with a time machine is even worse. he’s already immortal on his own that would make him Double Immortal

the gang takes shots at taking down clockwerk, pretty much, all of them working together until the final duel between him and sly. once again, sly has to do the right thing instead of what’s good for him to avoid a time paradox - leaving the murderer of his parents alive to avoid completely destroying the timeline. clockwerk grows knowing that someday he’ll have to leave sly alive if they met before sly is an adult + knows about the thievious racconus, giving him one more excuse to not game end sly when he goes to find connor and his wife

le paradox’ time machine is destroyed and so is the cooper gang’s as soon as they get back to the present. just to be sure.

FINALE:

everyone’s good

no shitty cliffhanger

dimitri is good out there. he’s just vibin

murray gets back to his racing but stays a lil more in contact with the gang. maybe he gets a bf. who knows.

bentley and penelope actually get married and they’re Good and Fine back in crimes action

carmelita and sly actually talk it out. they grew closer!!!!! sly could show his Very Good Side and while they talk about how he couldve made things better for everyone, that would mean still lose his family... and her. they get to actually tell eachother “i love you” and while sly still remain in the interpol working with her, she sometimes closes an eye whenever some big criminal get their stuff stolen in the middle of the night.

rumors say the cooper gang is back in action, but... who knows? ;)
