The billford dynamic is actually super similar to the billdip one in my mind. Its basically the same thing except ford hates bill cuz trauma and dipper doesnt nearly have as much hate for him as ford, he still has undying curiosity. Plus dipper is already a lot like ford, would make sense for bill to like him too.

Actually it really fucking frustrates me as a disabled person how ‘controversial’ video game accessibility is, how contrived it is to find actually useful accessibility mods for even popular games, how abled gamers try to distance themselves from us because we’re the ones without social lives, who don’t leave the house, who can’t work.

Elden ring is pretty fun, but as I progress through more of the game, one fact becomes more clear to me.
The first half feels like it was developed by a team that understands the soulslike difficulty methods well. Everything is a puzzle, with that last hit to defeat your enemy being the final piece. Each attack the opponent has specific counters, you just need to figure it out. Etc. etc., there’s probably hundred of essays out there on how Fromsoft handles difficulty.
Meanwhile, the second half feels like it was developed by a team that, in the most respectful of terms,
DONT.
Most areas in the second half feel like there are too many enemies to focus on at once, almost every enemy has one or two attacks that can either oneshot you (through a sequence that cannot be interrupted, mind you) or stun lock you to death. In traditional soulslike experiences, you can learn from experience to figure out what you did wrong. Here, what you did wrong was play Elden Ring.
It feels less like the devs wanna challenge the player and more like the devs wanna give the players the middle finger for daring to enjoy the game. Like if halfway through a dnd campaign your dm gets replaced with an asshole who makes you roll to not trip over and die when walking 3 feet.

I love how I'm always wanting to play survival minecraft but when i actually do I just don't fucking do anything. I can't build very well I'm terrible at redstone, I don't like pvp, you can't adventure for more than 5 minutes without filling up your inventory or using the (frankly op) shulker boxes+ender chest. Playing with friends has helped, and I've had fun playing with them. But when I have nothing to do or not many people are online I get so fucking bored and it kinda kills my mood a bit.

god the "booktok sucks" takes were fun and true for a while but tbh im seeing more and more takes that are literally just "actually under 25s shouldnt be allowed to publish" or "this generation cant write anymore" which is insane. literally every other industry these same people are begging for unpolished art. literally every other industry these people know that it's not the creators to blame, it's the capitalist industry standards. but noooooo. you write a book as a new author and people bend over backwards to judge you for things they assume you've done without even reading it and don't even realize that authors are being made to become influencers to have a chance at breaking into the industry. it's exhausting
