Romantic choices + poll
Glad that I got most of what I had planned for May all done, the quiz will be up tomorrow most likely and I think I might wait before I make a character intro post for Sam and MC.
Chapter 1 is coming along nicely, definitely made my life harder with how many variations I want to add but I'm nothing if not stubborn so I'll see it through, don't worry ! Can't give a definitive date but I'm hoping to get it done before July
I had an epiphany a week ago and figured out the entire story outline, the endings are still a bit blurry but we seem set for 12 chapters if all goes well :^)
Considering I wanted romance to be a big component in the story, I've been trying to add 4 ways to flirt when you interact with the characters : shy, subtle/oblivious, teasing/playful and serious/stoic.
The first two are more on the 'submissive' side in the sense that you'll let the RO take charge and lead the advances whereas the other two will have the MC act a bit more direct.
As an example of how the romantic choices will look like; here's what it looks like in one of Killjoy's flirting scene from chapter 1 ~ (this is the neutral variant - there's some differences in the choices and scenes if you're touch-averse or touch-starved) :
You want to but it’s making you nervous to hold hands with a stranger, especially with how charming you find Killjoy. You can feel yourself get hot in the face as they look at you. // shy
"We should keep our hands free." You don’t take their hand but you’re fine looping your arm with theirs, this isn’t a big deal anyway though you won’t deny you find them attractive. // serious
"Sure, it’s pretty dark anyways, we wouldn’t want to get separated." You smile and take their hand, that Killjoy sure is considerate even though you don’t know each other. // oblivious
"Is this just an excuse to hold my hand ?" You giggle and take their hand, despite how nervous you were a minute ago, flirting with Killjoy makes you forget everything else. // playful

Their older sister used to call them "Gumdrop" when they were kids because they would always sit by the gumball machine and keep turning the handle, dropping all the gums they didn't want and only keeping the yellow and orange ones
They're well-liked and popular but keep everyone at a distance, Ace is the exception
They would do almost anything to go back in time and prevent a tragedy that still weighs heavy on their conscience, even after all these years

Roadmap for May
First of all, thank you thank you to everyone who's played the game, followed the blog and reblogged / liked the intro post - it means a lot <333
I think the post didn't show up in the tags at first because it was my first post rip but I'm glad you found it anyways hehe, happy to have you here :^)
I figured I'd post a roadmap of what I'm planning to post this month so you know what to expect :
Character intro post (so you can get to know the ROs, Sam and the MC a little bit more)
A post to talk about how I'm planning to implement romantic dialogue options for the MC
A little quiz to figure out which RO you'd be matched with
And I've also got a few more posts more or less ready to go with random facts about the ROs
I can't give an exact date of when chapter 1 will be ready since I wanted to add a lot of variations to the 3 different routes but I'm hoping I can post it before July at the very least !
Please feel free to ask whatever you want or just come say hi in the meantime, the ask is always open <3

Will this be one game or multiple books ?
This will most likely be one game though I'd like to write romantic + platonic after endings and possibly a DLC about a certain bad ending I have in mind : something about a twisted version of MC & the ROs. This is all subject to change and nothing's set in stone of course.
Will there be poly relationships ?
No, sorry.
Is romance optional?
Yes, though romance is one of the main thing I like in IF so there will be a lot of romance only content; that being said, I'll do my best to have platonic content that feels just as interesting.
Will there be NSFW scenes and if so, how explicit will they be?
I have no problems writing extremely explicit NSFW content so yes there will be stuff like that, sex scenes will be optional and skippable. Though considering the story focuses on dark elements, these won't be optional, appropriate content warnings will be mentioned in each chapter; it's up to you to decide if you're comfortable with reading or not.
Do you have an update schedule? When will the next chapter be out?
If a chapter's not out then it's because it's not finished yet; I can't give you a specific date. It'll be out when it's out, sorry :^)
What kind of asks do you accept ?
Anything's fine, I do enjoy writing short reactions and headcanons, I think I'll keep longer scenarios, POVs and one-shots commissions for Patreon / Ko-fi later on. BUT please, don't ask me stuff I obviously can't answer because it's about future events in the story or things that are obviously spoilers. I also fully reserve the right to delete asks that I don't want to answer or asks that I've already answered.

How did ypu create the settings, saves, etc. Icon links? I'm very stumped on how to do that.
Heyy ~
It's just a stylised <<link>> macro. The icons are from Font Awesome (make sure you import the icons in your Javascript file) so you can directly use the icons in html on the StoryInterface passage or wherever your UI is. I'm using cerberus' template and I have a separate passage for the menu. You'd write it like this for example :
<<link '<i class="fa-solid fa-gear"></i>'>><<script>>UI.settings()<</script>><</link>>
You have to write your Html inside the single quote, inside the link macro. You can add multiple html tags and classes to style the links however you want in CSS.
After closing the first <<link>>, you can write what script that button is supposed to trigger. You can use <<script>> for something like UI.settings() or UI.saves().
If you want, instead of a script, to have a link to another passage or a website, you can write it just like you would with a normal <<link>> :
