Home after 3 miles on the anti-gravity treadmill and a back/tri workout (posted at the bottom). I was so excited to get to wear my Newton running shoes again - they’re my all-time favorite! We increased the gravity to 73% of my body weight today and it felt pretty good. Run 2 in the books at 8.5 weeks post-ACL surgery! Now I’m hanging out on the deck with my protein smoothie bowl. Today’s was chocolate @growingnaturals pea protein, CocoCardio, cinnamon, spinach, and sweet potato (makes it thick and creamy). Topped with hemp hearts @manitobaharvest sent over, which I put everything these days. 👌🏼 . . . Here’s the workout: 🔹 Bent over barbell rows - wide grip 🔸Pulldowns - close grip 🔹Pulldowns - pronated grip 🔸Pulldowns - standing 🔹Pull-ups 🔸Overhead tricep extensions with a plate 🔹Pushdowns - straight bar 🔸Close hand presses - bar 🔹Nosebusters - dumb bell, one arm 4 sets, 15-8 reps each. Increase weight each time where possible. What are your favorite running shoes?

Here I'm polishing off my LAST BAG of @eatenlightened sweet cinnamon broad bean crisps in a cereal bowl with @lovegrown fruity sea stars, @traderjoeslist pumpkin O's, @erinbakers oatmeal raisin granola and @evokefoods morning zen muesli and a large sweet potato topped with @cpcampusdining strawberry "jam", @peanutbutterco dark chocolate dreams peanut butter, @navitasnaturals maca powder, cinnamon, turmeric and a little black pepper to activate the powerful properties of turmeric! Day 13 post-ACL surgery. I did my PT and a back & ab workout at home today, followed by this chocolate-turmeric protein smoothie bowl loaded with anti-inflammatory ingredients. I used @growingnaturals rice protein, cocoa powder, turmeric, cinnamon, gelatin-collagen, a slice of frozen Japanese sweet potato (it makes it super creamy!), ice and water. Topped with @manitobaharvest hemp seeds. It. Is. Delicious. You can't taste the turmeric at all. Here's the workout I did. Back is hard to do at home! 🔹Push-ups 🔸Wide row 🔹Bent over row 🔸Stiff legged deadlift 🔹Bent over fly 4 sets, 20 reps. Increasing weight each set if possible. Abs we're done between sets, 4 sets, 25 reps: 🔹Crunches 🔸Reverse crunch 🔹Toe touches 🔸Russian twist 🔹Supermans Now I'm icing my knee and enjoying this bowl. See that tree in the background? That's an avocado tree. In my backyard. How cool is that?!

Day 3 of ACL surgery recovery. I finally went to the bathroom without help. Still can't do much more than that. My goal is to shower by tonight. However, Vegas is still winning with the food. Breakfast today was a smoothie bowl. I didn't even have to tell her what to add! This is blackberries, strawberries, spinach, Greek yogurt, turmeric, and @growingnaturals protein. Topped with @manitobaharvest hemp hearts and sprinkles. 🌈 I am just so proud... adding turmeric?! She does listen to my ramblings about nutrition! I'm crazy bored today... and lease go to my blog and make funny comments about my slang period references. #sorrynotsorry

Surgery is done! I'm home and on the couch... a little high on pills. 😂Vegas even made me my favorite anti-inflammatory protein smoothie bowl! She's the best nurse. Here's what's in the bowl: 🔹1 scoop @growingnaturals chocolate rice protein 🔸1 C spinach 🔹1 T cocoa powder 🔸1/4 C sweet potato (pre-cooked and frozen) 🔹1/2 tsp turmeric 🔸1/2 tsp cinnamon I add just enough ice and water to reach a smoothie consistency. I never want to eat much after surgery when I'm in pain, so this hit the spot. Annnnnd time for more Norco. 💊🙄

Lunch-ish today. I haven't really been hungry because my friggin knee is killing me (see insta stories for the nasty swelling video). I did mange to make an old favorite yogurt bowl - zucchini bread bowl! It's on my blog somewhere, but it's just 1/2 C Greek yogurt, 1/2 scoop chocolate @growingnaturals rice protein, cinnamon, ginger, and a bit of liquid stevia. Topped with hemp hearts and a frozen cherry.
