Okay so I got an ask by @greenqueenhightower for the morning after b&c if I were to direct it and I accidentally deleted it, I’m sorry 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 but alas, I’ll admit I’m short of ideas about it, mainly bc I’d have to see the building up to b&c, but let’s pretend it happened like the books, sharp and cruel, no comic relief and not making us sympathize with killers.

After the moment happened, I can see Helaena scream, like one of those really painful, really long screams that wake up the whole castle. The guards enter and she continues screaming, eventually getting the word to Aegon and Aemond, confused and getting ready to bed. They enter the chambers and, while the guards are keeping the children and Alicent safe, Aegon holds Helaena while she cries, and he gets one hell of an angry look (wanting revenge), while Aemond stays away with silent remorse. That night, Aegon stays awake with Hel, who would keep on sobbing and screaming, Alicent goes to pray to the sept, and Aemond just disappears (maybe he goes to the dragonpit, flies away, goes into the city, idk).

In the morrow, the Red Keep is a thousand times more silent and deadly than the morning after Viserys died. Larys will be working overtime questioning servants and guards, and everybody who had a hand on it. There’s another council presided by a sleepless Aegon, Otto planning stuff and wanting to have a very public funeral while Aegon is just brooding and quiet like ‘my son just died and you’re just planning war stuff’. A council member (maybe Tyland) asks about the queen’s condition and we get told she’s in her rooms, weeping silently and not saying a word. Another lord says the king should be focused on having more heirs now that his line is weakened, but he shuts them up. He orders to seek for blood and cheese in every place possible, and is continuing to be in that mood until Aemond enters the room.

Then Aegon snaps. He tells him how’s all his fault, how Jaehaerys was innocent, how Aemond couldn’t protect them and how Helaena is in pain bcs of him. Aemond just takes it, and here’s a point where you can get your pick: does Aemond take this moment to redeem himself from now on and be extra loyal to his family or takes this as a personal attack and starts to resent Aegon and co? I’m torn between the two, but that’s the moment.

Later on the episode we see some of Alicent in the sept asking the gods why, Hel crying holding Jaehaerys’ things (a blanket, a dragon toy) and mumbling her prophecies to herself. Rat catchers all over the city being detained and questioned. Aegon drowning in his cups and raging, raging. Guards filling the halls and making sure everybody is extra protected. Blood being captured in the streets and beaten up, taken to Larys that smiles and gives a little monologue of his. Aemond once again, alone and flying away, maybe roaming around the keep to feel useful. And in the end, Cheese disappearing in some alley, never to be seen again (the son of a rat).
