David Warner Says He's "Relieved" to See His Droopy Green Cap Again

Prior to this, Warner appealed to the public to help him locate his baggy green, guaranteeing that the returner would face no punishment.

Prior to the commencement of the third Test match against Pakistan, Australia’s opener David Warner declared on Friday that he had located his loose green cap, which he had misplaced four days earlier while traveling from Melbourne to Sydney.

The loose-fitting green cap that Warner wore on his 2011 Test debut was discovered at the Sydney team hotel, however it is still unknown how it got there. Warner thanked everyone who helped discover his renowned headgear in a video he shared on his official Instagram account on Friday morning.

“Hey guys, It’s wonderful news that my baggy greens have been located, and I am extremely happy and relieved to inform you all of this.I sincerely appreciate all of the contributions. I sincerely thank everyone who made a contribution. Our hotels, our freight firm, Qantas, and team management. Regards,” Warner posted on Instagram.

At the team hotel, the whole contents of the backpack they had packed were found. Despite intensive investigations, the examination of CCTV footage from several locations, and the efforts of multiple parties since Tuesday, the whereabouts of the lost bag remain unclear, according to a Cricket Australia representative, as reported by news sources.

Warner had before asked for help from the public to locate his baggy green, pledging that the returner would face no repercussions. The seasoned opener requested the guy to get in touch with Cricket Australia or the airline, and even offered to part with another piece of his rucksack.

Just a few days before his final Test match against Pakistan at Sydney Cricket Ground, his home ground, Warner announced his retirement from ODI cricket on Monday.

On New Year’s Day morning, the two-time Cricket World Cup winner revealed the news. The left-handed opener scored 6,932 runs at a 45.30 average and a 97.26 strike rate in 161 One-Day Internationals. With a best score of 179, Warner has also recorded 22 hundreds and 33 fifty-five in the format.

Okay so there's this idea for a fic I've been thinking of.

The jl are combating something that can only be touched with magic, jl dark is unresponsive (they got stuck in another dimension again), and cap - their only other magic user - is too injured.

But when they start stressing cap just slams a sheaf of papers of the table like 'pick between yourselves what powers you want, it's one each. Ig I'll sponsor you for today'.

Everyone: what?

Cap, spreading the papers to show each has a letter... Spelling out a magic word?: I'm serious. Do you want a cool new power? Consequence free? For as long as you need?

Batman:... Are you saying... You can... Give out powers?

Cap: my powers, yes. Flash, put Mercury back. That's pointless.

It'd be a great chance to have him explain his powers as a sort of reveal, including why he doesn't do it (it divides his power equally and thus severely weakens him). Also it would be very funny, I think, to see the jl in colour coded marvel suits being basically patroned by Billy. Batman has a blindingly white cowl. Flash has a cape. There's so much 'wait this chill childlike guy from some random city is actually insanely powerful' potential.
